We decided to explore the area and was surprised at how good the track was. Stopped at the place where the AAWT crossed the road then followed the walking track to the cache. Quite a pleasant walk, even put up a couple of deer on the way.Once we got to GZ the cache was soon found, all good with the cache TFTC
I climbed too high coming out of Morass Creek so I had to circle back down the steep slope to find this cache, all while wearing my heavy pack. So O was very pleased to locate itMorass Creek was a grubby crossing so it was nice to encounter 2 northbound AAWT walkers on its banks.TFTC
Day 18 of my AAWT journey northbound journey. A short day and it was good to get to this cache as it was time to decend, getting closer ti my food drop at Benambra-Corryong Road. Took a little bit for the Gps to settle but a quick find. Thanks for the cache.

1st day of 12 day hike along the AAWT starting at Taylor's Crossing. The section of track of the aawt is not clear at all from Taylors crossing, so the alternative route was taken along Tablelands and Lower tablelands road around this section. The section down to the creek is steep and narrow, actually an annoying section of track and probably not the best place to start as I soon discovered I was not yet track fit... The highlight thou was finding this cache along the way as well as the other one which was a nice spot to take a break.

Easily found. After doing this I headed down the old route of the Alpine Walking Track, now largely overgrown, back to Martin Vollers Yard.

Following the AAWT from Martin Vollers Yards to Taylor's Crossing this was the second cache along the route. After grabbing AWT Halfway at 1.40pm I made the difficult steep climb up to gz arriving at 2.15pm. A quick search rewarded me with the next prize and off I headed towards Taylor's Crossing. TFTC

After completing the AAWT in 2004, it has become a tradition of sorts over the last 6 years or so to revisit a part of the track at some point over the warmer months. This year I decided on Taylors Crossing, so after saying goodbye to the family after spending Christmas in Nagambie, I headed here for a couple of Days of hiking and caching.
Started on Lower Tablelands road. It was an enjoyable walk to the top of the hill and then down to the cache. What I was really surprised when I arrived was that the cache had not been found for over 3 years. Happy to say the cache is in A1 condition and is now loved again. Now down into the Morass......
Many thanks to BushwalkingBandit for the cache. TNLN.

We approached this cache from the Lower Tablelands Rd, which meant only a 20min walk to GZ.
I have walked the AAWT and knew the area, alot more track markers than there used to be.
A pleasant walk in and cache found quickly,
This cache has had a busy few days, 2 other entries were recorded, one on the same day as us.
We took the TB
Thanks for bringing me back here.

Rated: for Overall Experience
Found it at 1220hrs after a hike along the Alpine walking track from Benambra - Corryong road, across the Morass Creek and up the hill, with 10yo and 12 yo. Very overgrown in places, combined with numerous fallen trees, and the occassional missing markers made it difficult to navigate along the actual track. Vegetation was veery prickly in the gully areas. Despite this we thoroughly enjoyed the challenge, taking just over three hours to complete the walk. GZ was found with a bit of a search. Tricky camoflague. Left magnetic travel game, WDD Geocoin, and blue frog - felt we needed to unload the pack a little for the return trip! Dipped in Devils in danger TB. Took under the southern cross GC. Thanks for a great hide.
