I think this one could of been muggled but at least I survived that leap of faith
I have been to this cache twice and driven past twice, finally decided to check when owner last logged into geocaching.com and noticed it was 2010.
Shame as I did not read the logs on this one so I stayed in the car and drove off.
Please check if its there.

Came back for a second look but had same result. Scratched around the base of all the trees near GZ but there is so much leaf matter and a few branches have been felled since I was here last.

Approached GZ to only find another geocouple already searching...nice to meet you mrsbear...We decided to take the long way round & not take the leap of faith due to the flowing rapids below & even with 4 adults & 2 geogirls we still couldn't find this cache & considering the size that it is thought that this would have been easier....looks like the water has risen quite high in the last down pours so wondering if cache owner could please do a check to make sure it's still there [?]
Although tempted to look at the old historical graves, I listened to the advice not to go in. TFTC
Ok. After the previous post about the bull ant attack we decided to go back for another look. This time we found it and had no problems with the resident bull ants thank god. SL . TFTC.
Did not find will come back another day. Geo son got stung by huge black bull ants. They were everywhere under the trees. These little monsters have a sting in their tails and are very aggressive. Watch your feet when u look around.

11:40am, GAFF3, We took the leap of faith and spent a bit of time going back and forth, looking here and looking there.
The coordinates were spot on and we should have trusted the GPSr in the first place.
SL, log will require replacement very shortly.
TFTC LittleBub
It is a shame we could not have a look around the Cemetary, looks very interesting !

Took the long way in, lots of rusty barbed wire [xx(], found after a quick search of the GZ.
Took the 'leap' out, nice and quick

Did my best impression of superman on my way to this cache. Funny thing I've lived in the area all my life and have never noticed this small graveyard before. Thank you for the history, opening my eyes and the hide. Cheers. SL and left as it was.
Spotted by well dressed geonephew SL #69 Would have been nice to have been able to check out the cemetery.

It was a shame to see the state of the graves, at least cachers notice them.
The find was not too hard, once I stopped being logical and stuck to getting '0' on the GPSr.

Another Great day and very good find on my holiday around Sydney area. A short search had the cache located. SL Thanks for the fun!
I got a bit worried when I was looking in the most likely place for a cache and couldn't find anything. I really should just trust the GPS more often and zero in on GZ and surprize surprize, The Cache!

Searched for this cache in the evening. Gave up after 10 minutes or so. With low light levels and rusty barbed wire all over the ground, together with the long grass, I decided this was not a safe place to be looking for caches, especially with junior team member in tow.
Maybe next time I will come in from a different angle....in broad daylight.

Found while caching with Glenwarra69. Cachers beware that there is a fair amount of rusty barbed wire hidden in the grass between the Racing Grounds carpark and GZ.
Come in from
The race track car park
Beware of rusty obstacles
Tetnus shot here I come

I see from the footprint in the mud someone didn't quite have enough faith when making their leap

Reperio at 1715. Last cache for the day on the way back to Newcastle, and whilst the cemetery was really interesting, the cache placement was not! After having to negotiate the small water crossing, I searched in all the likely places until just by shear luck, my foot hit the cache, in a spot I probably never would have looked, or expect someone to place a cache there. Enjoyed the cemetery though.
Gratias.

Found quite quickly after expecting to have to dig through the long grass to find it, but there was no need. Just walk through it a bit to get to GZ. TNLTSL. TFTC.
Well, this one was harder than we first thought... But found after 10 mins

Grass is a little too long there now. Made us look for a bit but eventually found it
After parking the car and crossing the road I see the canyon full of reeds and grass that stands between me and the approximate location, according to my iPhone. So off I go and hunt, and hunt. No joy buy a few falls. Not a cache for thongs, shorts, night time, or waiting geo-family in the car across the road. General MacArthur once said he'd be back and the dame goes for me. Only better prepared..
Very emotional story and history - hope they will do something better in the future. Thanks for share with me. Signed the log. Thanks LittleBub.
Did the bush bash from the pumping station rather than the giant leap. Was scared i was going to come face to face with a snake but i didnt which was great! I live to cache another day!
Was very exposed so i attempted to camouflage it a little better.
Was very exposed so i attempted to camouflage it a little better.
There was alot of traffic in the area today so with a space in the traffic I took a giant leap, dodged the giant ants and located the cache.
Then realised I had left my pen in the car. bugger.

A little detour and a big jump and the cache was ours... watch out for the rusty wire... maybe we'll need tetanus shots?!

Found with FH-k early in the morning.
Didn't sign the log because we didnt have a pen.
After recent rain, no-one was keen to take the leap again to go back and get it.

Our last for the day and not to be forgotten. Unfortunately the reason isn't because of the cache, but because the youngest and I were both bitten by large ants! They can be so territorial- so had we not been so sore we would have had a bit more of a look at the cemetery . TFTC
What shall not be forgotten - what shall be retold long after the pain has faded - is the sight of the WaywardWard by the side of the road with her pants down, chasing that ant!
(I am in so much trouble, now)
(I am in so much trouble, now)
This cache will certainly NOT be forgotten. First my brother Garks stands on my arm, then I get bitten on the finger by an ant the size of a pen. YOUCH!!! I probably haven't mentioned before that I DESPISE ants!!!!! I will LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE!!!!! TFTC
Woot, what a hide... we found an easier way to get to this one sans long jump over swamp! TFTC
Nice Cache. Good idea to find a good spot to cross and not just jump as I got my boot stuck in mud.
Found at 12.50
Thanks for the history lesson on the cemetry. Had never noticed it before.
Easy cache, except for the leap.
Took smurf.
Left Aussie keyring.

Took a while as I was distracted by a lot of obvious possible hiding spots and came up blank. Back to the car to have a look at the previous logs and then back to GZ for a quick find. Did a coin swap. Thanks LittleBub.
I didn't know I had to look that low, I just missed tripping over it. AND I about fell in the drink at one stage. Bigmidget and geo-muggle looked on. TFTC SL TNLN
Nice easy find with Gambit (which he nearly tripped over it!) and geo-muggle friend. TFTC T-Nil L-Plain Geocoin TB
Used to live out Cranebrook a few years ago and drove past here every day and never saw the little cemetry was there.
Another one of those places you learn is around from caching.
Found with Muttley84 on another awsome day of caching.
Took nothing, left chuppa chup.

Oh Yeah! Hey, there IS a cemetery there! Never noticed! Now, how am I going to make this look inconspicuous?? Hmmmm, okay, I'll just chat on my phone over here towards the back of the car, blah blah blah, alright no cars, quick...jump.....Sweet! There it is!! Doh! Cars! Okay, now that dog across the road is determined to make my presence felt. More pretend chat, blah blah blah, oh and look, I'm back at the car! All good! TNLN. Thanks for the cache and pointing out the cemetery. I'd only ever taken notice of the "Dishlickers"!
Found with traffic wizzing by and I don't think they were paying much attention to me.
Interesting that the local government won't do up the graveyard, and also that the names face away - never come across that before.
Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks LittleBub

Nice easy cache. The leap of faith wasn't as big as I thought it had to be.TFTC
A nice easy find, even though there was heaps of traffic driving by. TFTH...SL....TNLN
A successful leap and a cache successfully found! Even my leap back to the road was successful, and my feet remained dry . . . No need to search in the tall grass, by the way.
Published coordinates were pretty accurate. And cache container and contents were fine. TNLNSL.
Many thanks to LittleBub -- and perhaps to his parents -- for setting this one up!
'Forgotten Cemetery' across the road was amazing. I guess it's not really forgotten now. I took some photos and will upload them here in an hour or two.
Remember that the cache is not in the cemetery!

Showed this to my cousin, living in the region - after having had introduced her to geocaching (in Europe).
Knowing that roadworks are in progress right know at the very location, she advised to place a note for the owner for checking on the condition of the cache.

Definitely requires a leap of faith. I placed a large-ish rock in the creek bed on the assumption that when stepped on, it would support my weight and keep my foot from getting wet - I was wrong, so I suggest not relying on that rock! Dropped off a TB. TFTC.
My mother always warned me that I might end up in a ditch. With this cache, you just might. Lucky I was wearing clean underwear!
Checked out the old cemetery after the cache. Easily missed doing 80 km down the road. Thanks for bringing me here.

Just realised we forgot to log this cache, this one took us about 20 mins to find but we eventually got it. TFTC
Hunted this cache down with b.kwright who wussed out of taking the leap after reading the previous post about the large ants. I took the leap grabbed the cache and attempted the return jump only to end up with a slightly soggy shoe TFTC
Found with shmeegn...stayed safe and sound on the roads edge while shmeegn collected the cache

Glad I noticed the graves, as I didn't read the noters beforehand. This had me thinking, why here? Now I know. PIty these gravesites around the Nepean Valley aren't better valued.
