The council has taken the chance while the lake is low to do some extreme landscape gardening, as a result the cache is no longer there, well even the trees are no longer there.
As we are moving to other end of the Island soon someone else can use this nice place.

Quick walk down from the car park. Got ideas in my head about sliding down this on a boggie board, but don't know whats at the bottom and how safe that water is.
Took TB.

The first of two to do in this area which would otherwise have remained a well kept secret. A very pleasant spot but somewhat noisy. Quick find. TFTC
Lovely peaceful spot until you open the car door, who left the tap running. Dropped off a camel travel bug who definitely needs some water.
Decided to pick this one up while looking for a circuit for a driving lesson today. Picked up GC and left Geo Gem. A bit cold and wet today, but plenty dry enough under the trees for a walk. TFTC

Took the long way to Hamilton and discovered this out of the way area. Cache easily found and in tidy, dry condition. Left coin. TFTC

Have been waiting ages for a nice day on which to do this one, as I used to have lunch here back in my sales-rep days, and know how nice and peaceful a spot it is. Sadly, although I found the cache, the container had been destroyed (appeared to have been crushed), and what remained was empty. I did a brief search of the surrounds, but apart from fresh beer cans, there was no sign of the contents Still a favourite spot though!
Will get out there ASAP to sort it out.
Hopefully with summer coming a few more people with come for a visit.

Bit of a boil up's right, what a great name for the cache. Completed the short walk but got completely soaked in a downpour. T4TC.

Water still bubbling but not cache. Can't understand why this hasn't been visited more often as easy distance from Tron. Terrific picnic area on sheltered slope with adequate parking. A must for a summer's day lunch out. TFTC.
Nice easy find once I found the right tree. Picked this one up while hitting the Mountain Bike Tracks around the Lake. TFTC
On reviewing caches that I haven't yet found nearby, I realised that I hadn't logged this one.
Got it on the way to Waihi Beach for Queen's birthday weekend.
I used to mountain bike out here before they logged the area but haven't been back now the tracks are back in.

Another nice location for this cache, amazing the places you find in this hobby. TFTC The Toffeez score again.
Came over the hill from Cambridge on the backroads which was fun. The the info on the "boiling water" was helpful; not sure I am that keen to drink the water when next in Morrinvile though.
Many thanks for the excursion off the beaten track.

Great cache. Decided to go for a drive with the little one, got there and found it, the trip back up the hill with the stroller was a bit of a hike but we got there. Left a little hand charm. Took nothing. TFTC
Quick trip out here to grab this one. Nice area. Now if the overflow was a bit smoother then it may be a bit of fun ........ TFTC
Did a bit of a detour on the way home. Nice spot-have mountain biked around here in years gone.
