Logs
This one has gone missing a few times too many so unfortunately we have to archive it.
unfortunately there was only a bag with the logbook. It was very wet. I think the owner should leave here a new box and a new logbook.
Second attempt here was successful. Last time just couldn't find it but today it was right there visible. TFTC.
Down from Northland for a few days and heading west today to see the sights and grab a few caches. Parked over the bridge by the museum and had a nice walk over to GZ. Took a little while to suss the correct right tree and then cache was soon in hand. TFTC

Found the film can and SL. Some unlogged visits marked in there. Returned to hide and carried on our way. TFTC
A trip through town on way to Milford Sound, couldn't resist the find and the beautiful riverside views. TFTC
Had a good look but couldn't find anything. Asked by a local walking past if we were geo-caching. All good fun.
Hi there, we didn't find this cache on Jan 1 but did find what looks like a bottle embedded in the relevant tree with its top broken off. Might be worth a look for safety's sake
Checked today, many thanks to Zeke and George for the replacement cache. Had creeped from original position so rehid in its original spot. All good for now.
Its a 3 week expedition, with The Seagnoid and Zara, round the South Island. Rakiura Walkway, my objective, is bagged, so its homeward bound the long way round. Its Friday, day 15 of our journey, leaving Invercargill today for Riverton.
Its a short walk up to this memorial. Snagged two cache containers here. Tagged while resting and checking out the water. Flat As - no wind today - but still a great view. Cheers

TaybeeDragon and I are off for a three day walk on Stewart Island. But we have a camper, so once you add in getting there and back, it's a three week trip. Day 15: Invercargill to Riverton.
This cache had been replaced recently, and we found both! we removed the old one with its very wet log and left the new one behind. The water is not that windy today. There's no wind at all!

Found while on drive heading towards Invercargil. A quick cache and dash, after topping up with fuel. TFTC TNLN SL
Spent a lovely weekend in Riverton and found this on our way out heading home. Log was extremely wet and unable to sign but on returning it R found another cache with a replacement log (dry) in it. TFTC
Travelling NZ from Canada, the amazing Dr Buffy spotted this one in a flash! Merci pour le geocache! MPLG
I looked for quite a while going round and round. Finally ready to quit I decided to check the other similar structure. I immediately spotted the container with no lid or log. I took it to the van and showed it to George. She provided a container (combining several test strips with a new container. I returned to GZ replacing the whole cache in the proper structure. Hopefully it will not bet muggled again. - Zeke & George of Hot Springs, Arkansas, USA
Found the Geocache easily was unsure what side of seat but pretty small a little grey capsule with a blue lid need to take a pen to write on paper
It was pretty easy to find it was black with a blue lid and was inside of the tree.
This was great drive past this spot every day and have never climbed the hill to enjoy the view

Had a great trip around NZ, now tidying up some logs. TFTC. A great little spot!
It was time to finish of my trip to the west that I did the other day. Nice view from up here.
Cheers for the cache.

What a sobering monument this is. One family lost 4 sons/cousins in the 1st war. Will we never learn?
Easy find and nice place to sit an contemplate Rivertons river.

Holidays in New Zealand! We have been looking forward to them for years. We had lots of time to prepare ourselves for a great trip. As geocachers, we also picked out a number of great caches. Armed with a "to-do list" and accidental encounters we were lucky to log many caches. Thank you for placing them and keeping the game go on!
Day 21/28: Te Anau - Invercargill
We took the scenic route, so not much caches out there. The ones we encountered were signed, many thanks for placing them. We had great fun.
This was found number 6962

On our eigth day in New Zealand we traveled from Bluff to Te Anau, still using the Southern Scenic Road. We are still amazed to see the thousands of sheep around! The closer we got to the Fiordland the more sun we got.
Nice view from up here. The cache was quickly found.

This was the second find of the day and one that I remember finding (prior to having my own account or suitable device) when I was first introduced to geocaching. It was quite well hidden by the last finder so required a bit of searching. Nice spot, thanks for the cache.
#6 on my Riverton hunt after work. Getting dark so out came the torch. Quickly spotted and logged. TFTC
Had to wait for the muggle mowing the surrounding lawn before I could grab the little tacker! He was having a tidy up for the ANZAC commemorations this weekend I expect. Thanks. I think one of my distant relatives is on that monument.
The last 30 Days i traveld with my Campervan "Hammerhead" around the South Coast and found a lot of Caches. All Places been wonderful.
I think New Zealand is the Paradise. All Ownern a big Thanks for the Boxes.

NIce cache to find along the road.
Today my road trip continued as I drove from Invercargill to Te Anau. Along the way I logged some geocaches and enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the coast. After arriving in the small town I joined one of the cruises to be able to log the quite unique geocaches here in Fiordland.

After having a little bit of a walk around we diverted to the war memorial to look for this cache before heading back across the river to where we had parked. It was pretty windy up here today, not just on the water. Cache was an easy find in the first place checked. TFTC
In Riverton for harvest festival, nice wee spot to admire the view. Easy find, thanks.
Took me a few times around the block before I realised the monument was on top of the rise!
Once that problem was solved it was plain sailing.
