DNFOut & about on this glorious Sunday morning with geo hubby Animal62 for a drive to Pt. Pirie & decided to grab a few caches along the way. UNFORTUNATELY there were so many muggles around it made it impossible to retrieve this cache so we will attempt it another time.
Filled up for the next leg of our adventure, just had to wander a little further up to find this one.
Driving home, the unsupportive muggle passenger refueled & went to pay. I snuck off, made the find & got back to the car with the passenger non the wiser. On we travel. Thanks for the convenient cache on my travels. TFTC!
We found it on the 14th of April 2024, Took a while, but very sneaky/well hidden
Tftc promised we would stop here on our way back from capital megabash. Heading home now to WA
How cool is this? Luckily the place was closed so didn't look too silly finding the cache. TFTC Southern Cross Caching.
Found on our way past today, nice spot to pull over and interesting man at GZ. Quick find here, cache is in good condition. Cheers.
Find #6262 on 6 Jul 2023.

Pick up Detofinbars this morning with a trip to Port Pirie for Podiatrist appointment and then onto Wilmington to pick up trees from a trees for life grower. We were getting caches along the way and had a fantastic day. TFTC
Found two tins in the same spot, one old and one new, so we stamped both and replaced as found. Cheers
Found easily on our way home from camping at Mambray Creek. Great location, had to be sneaky and 'touristy' taking multiple photos as an excuse to hang around, sign and replace. TNLNSL .. and having just been maintained it's in excellent condition. TFTC!
Maintenance run on the way past and cache had been mugged, new container and log book back in place, but in a different position. Refer hint.
Couldn't find it. We think we knew where it was, but weren't willing to walk through spider webs and go into snake country.
Couldn't find it after 20mins of searching but will try again another day
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. We are enjoying our time travelling SA. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on a geo-guided tour.
Looks like the brief warm weather had gone and rain ️ is in the way so we are out with iluvtrekking grabbing finds while we can remain dry. Thanks for the hide.
The three of us were heading home from a trip up north, and we stopped here for a rest break.
Mr Tardis found the cache in the first place he looked - don't you just love it when that happens?
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Southern Cross Caching.

Well this was a cute spot to stop and the cache was in a reasonably logical spot once I stopped bush bashing and finding the biggest orb spiders I have EVER seen. Unfortunately the cache has seen better days and is quite rusty, the log was sodden and I was not in the possession of ANYTHING accessible other than a pen in my vehicle while I was on my way to the Eyre Peninsula for work - sorry I cannot fix or replace until I return in 6 weeks so maybe someone else can ? So we did it, we took the plunge and early last year made arrangements to sell our little hobby farm in South Gippsland and ‘do a Big Lap’. Then Covid hit , super bad timing but it just made us more determined to go.
No full lap is complete without a lap of the little island first. So after tidying up our affairs and putting everything into storage, we celebrated Christmas with our families and hit the road.
We recently spent 7 magnificent weeks in beautiful Tasmania, then we just did a quick trip down the west coast of boring old Victoria, making our way to South Australia.
There we spent 20 odd days along the Limestone coast, bagging out on Abalone most days, very few crayfish though The Fleurieu Peninsula and beautiful Adelaide done It was then off to the Barossa to follow the footsteps of my Great Grandfather who lived in a Willow Tree with his family. That was a highlight of the trip so far, we then raked a few crabs along Parham (Thompson’s beach of course ) and foraged for Razor fish at Port Wakefield.
The Yorke Peninsula has no called our name, we’ll be here for a week or so,
A few caches along the ways
Thanks for being one of the CO’s who supplied us with a cache to do on the way.
TFTC
DNF had a quick look but nothing showed up we will need to spend more time looking next time
Searched high and low and as discreetly as we could with a fuel tanker parked nearby.
Day 314 ( Wednesday 8th ) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Pt Pirie today. A total of 3 for the day and 6050 for the trip. TFTC
This weekend, I joined Laighside Legends on a trip up north, with the main plan to visit the Bendleby Ranges on Saturday, followed by a hike in the Southern Flinders Ranges at Rawnsley Bluff. We managed to escape the rain and poor weather in Adelaide, and we were only affected by minor drizzles and some cold winds on Sunday morning.
Today was a rather long day. We stayed in Hawker, and initially headed to Cradock to complete the series of *Used 2B a Church* micros located there, before backtracking, and driving to Rawnsley Park. We initially warmed up with a small 1.5 km return hike to Uloudra Range via Alison Saddle, and then made a drive and walk to Clems Corner. After that, it was the main hike of the day to Rawnsley Bluff and Wilpena Pound Lookout. With the additional detour to a geocache, that took us all up 5-1/4 hr to hike and around 14 km to hike! Everything was aching after that hike... knees, quads, and even the mental wall was reached. Finally, in the remaining 1.5 hr of daylight, we returned to Port Augusta via Neuroodla and Warrakimbo, before then driving back to Adelaide in the evening.
My last geocache find for the day, and was a fuel stop for us returning back to Adelaide. I wandered over to GZ, and searched a few spots. GZ was a little away from the structure, but after returning and checked one spot, I soon had the cache. A nice hide. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Southern Cross Caching for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

With restrictions about to ease even further, I think we can safely enable our caches for people to start finding again. Please remember to practice safe hygiene measures while out an about, remain safe and most importantly, have fun.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Hello everyone, in these terrible times and with the current government directive for people to stay at home unless it’s essential. We’ve made a decision to take our caches off-line to stop temptation and encourage people to stay home. If this goes longer than the allowable 2 weeks period and geocaching hq decide to archive them, then so be it. But let’s hope this is over as soon as possible with as little damage as possible, so we can all get on with our lives this great game in the conditions we are accustomed to.
Cheers and stay safe and healthy,
Shane and Josie

Following our farewell Quorn after the JLWE with LiB...
We are heading home and collecting a few smileys along the way...
This is a cool structure although the Tin Man is starting to get a little rusty...
It took awhile for me to put my hand on the cache...
Was glad to find it...

At Quorn for the 2019 JLWE and we stopped here for fuel on the way home to the Barossa. We had attempted this 2 years ago on our way to the Red Centre Event. Sadly the cache was missing so we entered a DNF. Was good to be able to turn the frown upside down! TFTC
Slowly heading in the direction direction of Quorn. Targeting multi's and any trad that is along the way. quick find.
found with mogni on route to Quorn for the June Long Weekend event, we have left a day early to grab some extra caches.

Found on a return trip to Adelaide. Great iconic spot for a cache. Cache is good condition. Kids found the hiding location very amusing. TFTC
It was hard but after reading the logs and shining the torch we finally found it.
Make sure to look up his bottom.
