Nice tranquil Ghost Platform. Nice to keep it, but it seems an awful waste of space too.

Quick find.
Will have to do the track one day on the bike, might be a wheel chair by the time I get to it.
Thanks The Wobblys for caches on the way.

A great moment for me as my geotoddler for the first time said 'geocache' and 'good job dad' all in the one sentence. Lovely little train station. Would loved to have seen it in its day.
Very easy find as it was just sitting on ground signed and placed back where I think it came from TFTC find no: 180
Good use of old train line for bikes.
Our GPS had us out by miles so ignored it and search the other end.
Found.
Cheers for the cache.

After our day on the beach we went caching on the way back. Strange platform, why is it placed there? Since there came no busses, we logged the cache and left by car Greetings from The Netherlands!
Rollerblade caching from Fernleigh Tunnel to Belmont (one way, had to call Mrs Grub fred from Redhead on the way back, uphill, against the wind, no way!), signed temporary sheet after Team Unibolt, TFTC Wobblys!!
As per previous logs only the lid of the container remains. We had a previous finder in tow to day that confirmed the cache location. We had an unpainted container of the same type with us so we let it and a page from a note pad as a temporary log.
As per my previous note, I did find the cache container lid, but the container and log have gone. With CO's permission I would like to log this as a find.

Suspect this one has gone.

nice bike ride along here, plenty of muggles, spent a while sitting waiting for the train
Cache was laying on the ground lid boken of SL and returned to hide as best we could. May pay to repair. TFTC.
Number 4 for the morning another
place where muggles congregate
not to worry TFTF.

the station is alot bigger then i thought when on a walk when not looking for the cache
Reperio at 1740. Love how the council have left this alone and made it apart of their heritage. It does seem in a strange spot though perched behind the houses, but it's great to still see it exists.

Dropped by this one the other day but it was like the trains just nowere to be found. come back today and how could I have missed it? Just having a bad day !

Gizmo had me about 6m out. Broadened my search and the cache was in hand quickly. Thanks
Team Rocket really need to find a better way to pull off "stealthy". Standing around, waiting for a train, on a platform more useless than 9 3/4 probably isn't goind to fool a lot of muggles. Still, we managed to nab this cache fairly easily, once the crowd thinned...

Found the cache quickly, but there were lots of muggles out for a walk, so we pretended to wait for a train as a decoy. The train never came, but eventually there was a break in the muggles so we could retrieve and sign the cache.
The rain has stopped for a bit so we could find this cache on our ride south.

We took a nice windy walk along the path to the cache. Found without too much trouble. TFTC
What a great use of the old train line, love it.

I really like these trails converted from old lines. The old station is a perfect spot for a cache - a nice quick find here helped !

Great use for an old railway line, and the views from the platform are wonderful, SL TNLN TFTH
Its great to see a recycled use of this area. In between muggle bikers, we had the cache in hand. Found during Rudi63 and the Walenators assualt on a "Everything North of Sydney" caching weekend TFTH....SL...TNLN
After finding one of the other Rails to Trails caches, this was a bonus, thanks for showing us this wonderful track.
This is a very cool place - we enjoyed standing on the platform and considering the way things used to be. TFTC.
Today was a bit of a struggle with our caching - our GPS has packed it in and we have had to rely on our car navigator! This one had the navigator totally confused and wanted us to go miles and miles away. We resorted to the old fashioned paper map and soon found a parking spot not far from an access path onto the track. This Fernleigh Track is certainly a great asset to the area and there were plenty of muggles out using it this afternoon. We had a bit of a break in the muggle traffic and were able to quickly locate the cache. TNLNSL TFTC
Very dark here at night when the torch was off. But still a fairly easy find.
Nice area (no trains today) maybe due to the wormen down from the platform. TFTC
This one popped up as we completed a neaby cache. It sowed as being only 60m away as we were driving around the local streets, so we decided another one before going home couldn't hurt. Mr Shifter styed in the car while Mrs Shifter headed along the walkway to the old rail corridor, and located the cache in the first place she looked.
We just have to bring our bikes back here, the track gradient is excellent as it follows the old train lines. It's great that the station was left and has been upgraded, but it needs a shed. Initially thought the cache might have been covered over by the new work, but soon found it in one of the few likely spots. TNLN, thanks for the hide in this great spot.
An easy find even with all the muggles racing by.Big changes made here since I last rode along this track.
What was my GPS doing road maps was sending me all over the place I think is was heading to the start point of the walking track miles away...U turn now, map to ground..AH thats better, side street access 65 meters away, up the lane way and onto the track (the walking track) no trains here. But if you listen hard enough you can still hear them in the distance...Toot Toot..the old red rattler. Located the cache SL and returned it before the trained pulled into the station....must be the heat

We were approx. 50meters away from the cache, when the gps started sending us all over the place.Nothing better than plain old common sense once in a while.I must admit the gps did sve us a lot of walking and backtracking with 99% of the caches.TFTC
Our favourite part of the ride today excellent downhill ride (pity we didn't get picked up at the station for the return). A quick hunt between groups of high speed muggles at least they were too busy to pay much attention to us. The cache was quickly found and without a hitch. TFTC TheWobblys. [360].
Alot of work has gone into this area. Just add a few picnic tables and shelter and this would be a very user friendly area.

This was a bit of a surprise that I hadn't expected to find. Good to see this old line being used for something useful. Found with Team Webguy.

Access was alot easier this time and cache was found quickly, just had to watch out for the muggles over the fence.
This was a great spot and what has been done with the bike path. Very impressive. TFTC
This converted railway impressed us and speeder3--nice hide. Will bring bike next time and complete ride/walk from 5 years ago.
