I'd say the road has been improved over time at GZ widened by a grader. I searched around all possible spots all the time suspecting the grader may have taken out the cache. The place deserves to have an active cache in place, so I have placed a fresh container as near as possible to GHZ in a spot matching the clue.
Mrs Ambayu and I came out for a drive to try and find this cache after making a previous DNF about 6 months earlier. The road has definitely improved. We searched for quite awhile until Mrs Ambayu came away with the find. I was thinking that there would be no way this cache would be muggled so was determined to find this cache. Apologies for the delayed log being the 28th October today. I had forgotten to log it at the time due to a family emergency and was only looking at the map today. However, I went back to a message I sent to my friend Captain Terror about this being the cache with the longest unfound days that I had found. Cap Terror of course has found one longer than 10 years. Can't best that bloke at anything. The log was very damp and was unable to be signed. But I did sign a dry leaf and left in the cache container. Thanks for the fun.
Day two of my outback adventure of heading to Cunnamulla for the QOGM. This morning it is grabbing a few around the Highfields area before picking up my passenger for the next part of my journey west.
I mainly concentrated on the Highfields park trail caches, there were a few that I missed last time I was here and then there was a couple of particular interest to me now. Some good hides and all caches were in good condition. Some fun hides and some easy ones. Logs were signed on all caches and then replaced as found.
Thank you to all the CO’s for the caches found today.

Up in Crow Nests for Christmas with the family. Had slow start today opening present with the kids. I am still recovering from my fall two days ago. Have a big black eye. It keep swelling up and can’t open my eye. So very hard to drive. Took half a day of icing to get the swelling down. Finally got out today and got 10 caches.
And two for a challenge so all happy.
Sorry for the generic post.

Another find for the Mystery at the museum. Not far from my house but still a drive away.
This was fun to get to. Good practice for tomorrows Rural Safari Event. found in good condition and heard the pretty birds chirping.
Just fitted a newish gearbox to my lil suzuki jimny 4x4... unfortunately it has a oil leak somewhere. After applying a fix yesterday I needed to get out and give it a run to see if the leak has stopped... saw this lil beast on the map and decided to check it out. Saw a few hill climb 4wd tracks in on the way. One day ill be tackling them in the jimny.. lol.. reminds me of my days as an offroad 4wd photographer.. anyways.. parked nearby and soon had the cache in hand.. all is good here.. tftc!
A nice peaceful drive off the highway to reach GZ, entered the bush in the wrong place so had a bit of a bush bash before finding the cache. Signed the log and on looking up, I could see "Tuna" only a few meters away - so a lot easier exit from the bush. I'll get it right one day!! TFTC muddtrax
We've just been to Cooby Dam to collect a few caches and on the way home figured we may as well make a bit of a detour. Of course we are in a 2WD and MrGravel saw the first lot of bumpy bits and said 'nah - better not.'
"Are you kidding of course it will be fine - look ahead it's just a bit of dirt." I said
All good got to GZ and the GPS decided to it's usual 'I love to be under trees' dance so we just walked the usual radius and before we knew it MrGravel was saying "found it!"
I had a good laugh at all the NO TRESPASSING signs - like a squillion of them - I don't think the property owners like the riders ha ha ha

We always pass by this on our travels, fearing it was just a bit too far off the beaten track, but not today!! Today we decided to give this unloved cache our attention. Found quickly at spot on co ords. Tnsl TFTC rozuz & muddtrax xo
We took the road less travelled to get to this one and after yesterday's rain we did need to use the 4WD to get up the hill. Very slippery
All is well at GZ. Had no trouble finding the cache.
Thanks heaps muddtrax.

**# 17520** Found on the Qld leg of our 2017 winter escape trip.
Another perfect warm winter day for a drive to the Plantation series.
Not many muggles around and a good quick find here.
And its a top 4wd track near the cache as expected.
Thanks for the cache muddtrax,

Found with Mum as 'Jess & Caro'. She is now Carø and I now have my own geocaching profile so we are sorting my logs for caches we found together. TFTC!
Found it, wondered if my 2wd was going to face a bit much but then all of a sudden we were at the GZ. Took a tb, left a TB. Signed log, TFTC

Day two of the trip and the weather was not cop-operating. No way I was going on a hike in this rain.
Not too many caches about, but with our super chauffeur T-Tech, IolantheK and I were kept entertained for the day.
Happy to be in the 4WD drive today. Not really the sort of day to take my little lancer to some of these ones.

Day 2 of my camping weekend at Crows Nest T-Tech, teamdfl and I had planned to walk out to Koonin Lookout today, but the drizzle yesterday has turned into rain today and we had to change our plans We visited Haden, Goombungee, Geham and Cabarlah then headed east for some dirt roads.
The mighty Pajero took the roads in her stride, and we made an easy find here. TFTC, muddtrax.

We decided today to get some caches that have been on our nearest unfound list for far too long. I'm not sure why we haven't picked up this one earlier - being camping and 4x4 enthusiasts, we didn't even know about this area!! usually we just head to 4x4 parks for a weekend of driving. Looks like the boys could have a bit of fun around these parts exploring the numerous tracks - and all so close to home!!
Anyway, in the trusty Patrol, it was no problem getting to gz, but i wouldn't want to come here in a 2wd. The road at the moment is in good condition, but it's still a fairly steep dirt road to get there!
Found the cache with no problems
Enjoyed the drive out here, great area and I'm sure geo-hubby will be back to explore some more! [^]

Out doing a hike this morning with my geodaughter in preparation for her up-coming school camp. After completing the 8km walk we headed off for a few easier drive by caches including this one. The 4WD only sign didn't worry Victor Del Prado but the track was a little busier than expected in places. We soon found a nice parking spot right next to GZ and it didn't take long to find the cache. TFTC.

The previous finder said "That one heck of a road going down hill", well you should try going UPHILL in a two wheel drive falcon! Three incredible uphill stretches had us wondering why we ignored the many "ONLY 4WD" signs along the way. But the description says you can do it in a 2WD but not in the wet weather. Well, it wasn't wet! After the first incline which was rough and steep enough, we turned the corner and saw the even steeper second incline. We were SO LUCKY because of the motorcross weekend in nearby Murphys Creek, the Regional Council has just repaired this track after recent heavy rains. The up track looked solid enough so lock into low gear an with heart-in-mouth up we went. Made it! The third stretch wasn't so bad after the previous two. The track at the top was reasonable for a bush track, having been graded on the previous day or so.
As the GSPr settled, we parked in the obvious location: the cache we found was as described, but a good 5 meters away from GZ as determined by both GPSrs. All good with the cache. Found at 2.05pm pm 20th June 2015. TFTC.
As an aside, we decided to continue on this "road" to the more 2WD friendly New England Highway to get to our remaining two bush caches for the day. We came across a roadworks team and started up a conversation with the traffic controller about working on a Saturday. When we told them where we had come from (Murphys Creek), he was quite incredulous that we made it in our GeoFalcon! So if you have a 2WD take care, and do NOT attempt if the road is rough or wet.

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there muddtrax. We found your cache "Just off the beaten track" at 11:54:00 AM today.
This was our 15th cache find in a caching run of 24 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9500.)
[Blue]
Today's cache run was to add to our current streak of "Most Consecutive Days" cached. With this cache the total now stands at 225 Days. Today was a trip down memory lane for Ian, he spent quite some time in (and around) Cabarlah before he left the Army.
[Gold]Woo Hoo!! This is our milestone 9500th cache. [/Gold]
We have been caching now for over ten years and it is really sad to note that the trend of placing small caches without swaps is increasing, especially in a spots such as this - where a much larger container could have been placed. Doesn't anyone want to place large, kid friendly caches any more. [?]
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent. (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.[font=Verdana]

Drove the geo mobile out to this one from our overnight camp spot on the other side of the hwy. We should have camped here. So we had breakfast and then searched for the cache. When located the cache contents & logbook were damp, so I dried them out and placed a new logsheet with the old fragile dried one all back in the cleaned sistema container.7:00am

Found with the geo men ... Geo James and geo Ben ... Team Iliffe. Nice and easy ... But I love verge fact that it took us down tracks we NEVER would have had reason to even discover, let alone venture down, if it hadn't been for geocaching. That we LOVE this pastime. TFTC.
Found en-route to Hampton from Murphy's Creek. Is a lovely forest and definitely some interesting country around here. Was a little disappointed with the hide location, with so many interesting spots in the vicinity, it felt somewhat like it was just dropped randomly in the first available spot. Nothing to see here.
Geokids had a ball just driving to this one, hadn't been down this road ourselves for years. We found the cache itself easy enough then continued along the road, probably best to turn around at the geocache if not in a 4wd
Great Spot Thanks for the cache
P.S. The pad is soaking wet and very hard to write on.

First find with the new GPS, found cache quickly. The log was wet, dried out the inside of the bag and cache and left it in the sun while I played around for a while on the GPS. Returned cache to its hide. TFTC
Log book is wet. Drove the smaller geocar here. Hoping we can get back to the highway. My suggestion is the 4wd access only
I was with Fangsoki for this one today and we made the detour while heading south. I am sure I could have made the drive from the top side in my Corolla, although it may have been a bit marginal at times. Thankfully Fang's Pajero was all over it and after a fun drive to the area, the hunt was on. The sun was setting and in the scrub here needed a torch. I had all sorts of cache blindness here and it took a few minutes before I spotted the hide, not sure how I missed that. The inside is a bit wet, but holding up for now. Back in the 4WD and the GPS said we could get down to Murphy's Creek by following this road and it turned out we could - but definitely needed a 4WD for that bit. A nice cache down this side track, TFTC rozuz
The other day I tried coming from Murphy's Creek. This is one road where the '4WD ONLY' sogn does mean it.
So today from the top side. A little nicer on the car.
The cache is a little damp but the log is OK. But then again it is in a hole where water collects.
Thanks for cache.

Spent the weekend in Crows Nest and decided to grab some caches on the way up and back. We got about a k from this one but we weren't game enough to go any further down a '4wd' track and we didn't have the time to walk so will come back another day when we have more time to walk.
There was a bit of debate as to how to approach this one but we managed fine by coming in from the New England Hwy. Certainly trail bikers around enjoying the area and we got pulled up at GZ by locals who wanted to make sure we weren't chopping down trees and blocking the road! Apparently that happens a bit... Cache was found using the hint. Thanks rozuz
This one was 4.3km away according to my GPSr from "Under Choo Choo". But TomTom said it was 30+km
However, it was tending to the route we were going - so off we set. I was a bit warey of the terrain given the "un-offroadness" of my vehicle. But we made it there and back with no problem.
At GZ, we started the hunt. A woman pulled up just as were starting and she declared that we hoped we were not felling logs over her road? Errr... no...? Who's road now? Once she was satsified were not going to create a timber blockade, she happily continued on.
We set about the hunt and Loki found the cache after a small hunt. The log was useable - but the container was a bit damp. The cache is okay otherwise. A very nice area - TFTC rozuz

18km from home.
Took the Mazda 3 for a bit of a look around down to the GZ, not a worry on a glorious day to be out and about. We had planned to walk in but there was no need.
Come across a few bikes but thankfully nothing to get the heart rate up.
Made an easy find.
The cache is in good nick but a little damp. Just in the time we were there we were able to air it out a bit.
Took nothing but memories, left nothing but footprints and our tag.
Thanks for the cache rozuz

Last find for the day with Chobas. Title spot on. Bit hairy going down the hill. Was wondering where we would end up. All good once there. TFTC.
After some shopping at the cuckoo markets we went for a drive to get this one. It was a nice quick find. TFTC.

Found while test driving a few vehicles for work. Nice little Forrest out this way. It is good to see how the area has recoverd after the floods of Jan. Cache is in good condition. TFTC. TNLN. SL
Found by Sunshine Toledo at 10:15am. The cache was found quickly; it was very quiet round GZ. The old dog has to mark his territory while there. TFTC

#300 - Found with Krossbo. Nice little drive to GZ off the beaten track Might just have to come out here and do dome 4WD TFTC!!
Sorry to the last few Geocacher's that have been to this 'Disabled' listing. It looked like I was to be relocating, hence I disabled the cache's in the area. This did not eventuate & I thought I'd enabled the caches.... but alas, I hadn't. If moving in the future, I now have a contact of a wonderful cacher who is happy to adopt
Speedmistress Triumphs. TNLN TFTC Followed the road and took a few turns and ended up back at Hampton. Great drive.
Staying quite close to this one decided to give it a go. we were surprised to find a very good road into the cache site. I feel that this one is not one to do on a weekend, the area looks to be well used by 4 x 4 and bikes SL TNLN TFTC
After the perils of the bitumen road leading to within a few hundred metres of GZ, the nicely dry, but steep gravel bit posed no problems for the trusty geomobile
I think I fluked finding the right turnoff from the highway [^]
It isn't the obvious one on my GPS' map.
It was still early as I cruised down the gradient, but the campers were already awake and no doubt contemplating another noisy day of daredevil mayhem.
At least until the forecast rain arrived
Not far past the zone of destruction I found a nice little spot to park and hop out to claim me prize

Living at the bottom of the range I attempted to get to this cache from the eastern side in my trusty HiLux 4x4. Nearly had success on one track but it started to get a bit rough and there were too many trail bikes to contend with so had to go the long way round (for me). Still some trail bikes but managed to find cache and sign log without being caught by any. Will have to come back for the 4 wheel driving experience with some friends some time. It looks fun. Thank for the cache.
A great find! No trail bikes today so quite easy. Never knew this was even here if it wasn't for this cache! Amazing what's in your local area that u don't know about...
A great location and a fun hide for thew kids. Wouldn't have ventured down this way if not for the cache. TFTC
Trusty Forester did alright on the track. Just a few trailbikes around. Cache was found quickly, but had to duck when another bike went past. TFTC
Found at 0855 Hrs after a careful drive in (or down). All very quiet today but it looks like it could get busy at weekends. TNLN.

Was starting to get a little worried in the low-clearance 2WD VS Holden cache-mobile, so with about 200m to go I found a spot that gave me easy parking and an easy turn-around spot, and did the last 200m on the old Foot Falcon. As it turned out, my fears were unfounded - I could have easily got to GZ, parked and turned around in the cache-mobile right next to GZ. Easy enough to find once at GZ. TFTC TNLNSL.
WOW! That was a FAST FTF!!
I did venture off road from there to place another cache (and in one section of track sheared off the grease nipple from the rear uni joint - that was one rutted out track!). I then decided I wouldn't put anyone else through it..... now I'll have to go back down there to get your cache!!

Another FTF for the OffroadCruisers!!!
The Geo Cruiser didn't require 4wd tonight. I was down here a couple of weeks ago for a 4wding night run and thought that somewhere around here would be a good place to put a cache and here it is! I'm still planning another one though... But this time 4wd WILL be required!
Thanks rozuz for dragging me out from in front of the telly on a beautiful warm night.
