The clue definitely had us searching in the wrong spot. This is a classic, make sure you're in some shade at about 10h30 and you'll get it

Quick easy find

Soggy Sunday outside. Awesome burger and beer at Ricks garage before a quick atop off at the closed pineapple. . Quick find. Seems ants have moved into the container to stay dry. TFTC.

Wow, what a disappointment returning after years to see almost all the produce is gone. Even the big pineapple is closed. I remember bringing my young children here and having a great time on the train and exquisite deserts. Oh well, progress means change. Thanks for making me get off the highway to re-visit.

Seemed a touch too dangerous with cars whizzing past

When I was at teachers college, many moons ago, my holiday job was working at the Big Pineapple. Those were the days before Nambour was bypassed by the highway, so it was always very busy. Thanks for taking me down memory lane.

Found 12:06 4/8/20. I enjoyed the train ride through the zoo and rain forest. Imagine how big a pizza you would need for that pineapple . Thank you awesome4 for the cache and bringing me to this location.

We have been working long hours, one of us not for a grateful company, and so ran away for the weekend for some relaxation, sunshine, and a change of scenery.

Was here with my mum not long ago but I didn’t get the cache. This time we picked up the cache and took the obligatory selfie.

Ticked off another item on the 'big things' list and collected a cache. TFTC

Out today for a birthday present to treetops. That’s handy as to keep my trad a day and my other challenges going this one was very nice indeed.
A short walk while we waited over to nab this one.
Cache was easily spotted and log signed. Cache is missing the lid but log was all dry.

Smallwombat, muggle sister and myself out again checking out Palmwoods today. Had to do a quick stop on our way past. Smallwombat sniffed it out in about a minute. Tftc

This was the first find for the day on our geotour of palmwoods.
a quick find and we were back in the car and away..
i remember the big pineapple when i was a kid, we came here several times over the years, although the last time was before the refurbish before the last refurbish, so it was looking a little rundown from memory.. the macadamia nut factory next door was always a hoot too, with a giant nut tucked away instead of roadside prominence.. the tacky common farm animals always brought smiles balancing the horror of the rickety train ride. such fun!
i hear they even throw music festivals here now too! although, how the future looks for them is a whoole other story.

We are slowly making our way home from Bundy after a few days with YOF.

Hatzoff had a TB wanting to visit the Big Pineapple. So we came here, but the cache is too small for the TB. But we can still log the cache, of course.

We are on our way to watching our grandson's soccer match. Called into this cache to drop off a TB but sadly the container is too small.

Stopped here with geogirl before the nearby event. It was very quiet here today at the pineapple, but not at GZ

Not where we thought , be careful !

On our way from Landsborough to Noosa we visited the Big Pineapple and went on a ride with the little train. The park obviously has seen better times....

Afterwards we were looking for the cache and it took us quite a long time to find the box. The obvious places in the shelter were not successful and only after we enlarged our searching spot we were able to find the box, which was hidden in a quite ususal hidding place.

On our way back to the Brisbane area and had to stop to see this landmark so was pleased to see a cache nearby. Made a meal of searching for this trying all over the bus stop and even following the walkway down to ground level. Then checked some previous logs and photos and spotted another hiding place, had to wait for a suitable moment between passing traffic to retrieve and replace. TFTC!

We found this one today while half our crew was doing the treetops challenge. So pleased it was a quick find as it’s one hot today. Tftc

Easy find but had to look twice

Found by Aussie Train Driver 03/09/2019.
After visiting The Big Pineapple we wandered over to grab this cache. Spent some time hunting before we checked the hint, scoured the bus shelter with no success. Checked the previous logs and realised the hint was inaccurate - soon had the cache in hand after looking in a typical cache hiding spot. Phew! TFTC, glad that someone has put a cache at this significant location!

Day 49 Mainland trip
Out and about caching with Tassie Trekkers heading to Nambour and made a quick stop to retrieve the cache. Duties done and we were off. TFTC

Caching in and around Nambour and surrounds, we picked up a few caches with Whitewebbs and this was one of them.

An easy find at GZ, cache and contents were in good condition.

Sunday. Nice quick find today whilst on our way to Nambour and grabbing some lunch. We remember when this place was the height of activity and was the absolute ‘must do’ event in it’s heyday. We even both got to ride the macadamia nut train and thought it was the bee's knees. Didn’t buy anything to eat from here though – we think from memory, that the price of a milk shake equated to about $10 if you were to buy one today. Seems they priced themselves out of business.

This was the 4th of 5 caches found on today's trip.

Wacky Wednesday up the Sunny Coast with NyssaFlutterby today, we had already completed the first goal of the day, so we're heading back in this direction when we decided on a quick stop in here and a bite to eat.
I remember the Big Pineapple of old, the macadamia nut train and factory, feeding the animals, and of course heading up inside that hot fibreglass pineapple, not to mention those amazing ice cream sundaes they always did there.
Today we just stopped at the kiosk outside the pineapple, and were satisfactorily nourished.
The cache took me slightly longer to grab as I had expected it in one spot only to realise that the coords are more accurate than the hint for sure, and found it in the other spot. A quick grab as best possible between breaks in traffic. Then off again to continue on our way.

Out for a day of caching with Slyalmond. Quick find, then it started raining, rely on previous experience to find. Very difficult to grab between flowing traffic. TFTC

This took longer than it should have but eventually, with the assistance of previous activity the cache was located. Typically it decided to rain just as we were searching for the cache.TFTC

Drove up from Canberra to stay with my parents in Caloundra for the Christmas Holidays. Was heading up for the New Year Cacheup event in Kilkivan, Stopped for this one on my way up, because I also wanted to do the GA virtual cache at the pineapple

Out for a day of caching with stortigirls and Mr Curious Quest. I managed to find a spot to pull over the geomobile, then we were headed to GZ. A quick search and the cache was in hand. Stortigirls had found this one previously, so my name and Curious Quest were added to the log book. Back to the geomobile to continue on our way. TFTC

Found, not too hard

During our trip in Queensland, Yanall and I have visited the little zoo. Before going in, we have looked for this cache. TFTC!

Here we made a stop to visit the parc and see Koalas and Kangaroos. This cache was not so easy as the coords were not very close to the point. After long searching we found it.

After great amount searching we come up with this one as we were about to leave

It was on a large map at the SCI cache half way between Maley and Landsborough that N spotted that The Big Pineapple was only a short detour away on our way to Mooloolaba. Being a Melburnian who had never seen this magnificent piece of quintessential Queensland architecture - it was time to take a small detour. Bonus points that this cache happened to be there too.
