Returned with Geo-daughter (booobooo). To try to put this one to rest only to find Council had beat us to it. Did however find a lizard on the stump
Wandered through with Trillian-N7, couldn't find it. look forward to it being replaced
Like the others, we didn't check the status of this cache. Oh well, another day.
Didn't see the maintenance log, hence nil find. Will try again when back up and running. Nice spot for a cache anyway. I have a similiar cache in existance.
Had a good look around with my wife who found this a few days ago. Don't know if clean up Australia has removed
Not sure if I can really claim this as a find on the current cache location - checking the logs now I find that I hadn't updated the coordinates with the recent change & searched under the old coordinates. And found what looks to be the original cache. I will load some photos later showing the names on the log, including Ruffasguts 4x4 who was the FTF. My GPSr said I was about 6m away from GZ at the place I found the container, but at the time that seemed a reasonable to me as the GPSr wasn't showing a high accuracy lock.
The old log is currently dry, but has obviously been wet in the past as it is a bit mouldy. I think the existence of 2 containers is why some logs say the log is damp & others say that it is fine, different people are possibly looking at different containers.
If the CO wants details of the cache location, contact me & I'll send a description & photo.
Edit: I've just read the past logs in more detail & have realised that there have been 2 replacement containers on this one, not just one. But as the photos I've now attached show, I found the original container from November 2009 .

tftc sl i looked for this one in its out spot but could not find it the new spot found in about ten mins how ever the cache is not as low as the clue suggest it is.
I despise creek side caches. There is nothing like getting to GZ (well, close to it) and finding that its on "the other side". Fortunately I was Ok with this one and parked not too far away.
I don't know if the hint matches the current location of the cache at GZ, but it doesn't really matter as there aren't too many places to search.
The creek doesnt look too bad right now with not a lot of rubbish around.
A good time to visit
Cache replaced and some camo placed on top

I parked quite close to Peach Tree Creek and correctly decided on the GZ side. However, when I approached the obvious GZ 'place' my heart skipped a beat! It looked like high water had covered the hiding spot and left behind lots and lots of debris, smothering everything. Could the cache container really have survived such a flood?
My careful search as 'low' as I could go turned up nothing at all. I was just about the leave when I thought I'd try a bit 'higher' just for the heck of it. And then something fell out on to the ground! Yes, it was the cache -- definitely a 'micro' and not a 'small' -- and not the kind of container that you'd expect in such a 'place.'
But I had no complaints at all. I was overjoyed to find it.
Contents proved to be nice and dry. TNLNSL.
I carefully replaced the little container in a less flood-prone place, quite near to where I found it, and added a bit of natural camo.
Many thanks, Argeisia a Ca!

Purple143 and I decided to tackle this one. Cache was found, out in the open, obviously out of place. Maybe from the last Thunder/Hail Storms. Have placed cache where we thought it may've originally been, and emailed owner. TFTC
4th person to find today. The log is very damp and difficult to write on. This is my third attempt and needed a hint from Daniel 2:22 as I was looking in the wrong spot. He didn't give it away, but just told me I was in the wrong spot. GeoSon found today after 1/2 an hour last night in the dark. NOTE it is very difficult in the dark. TFTC.
Parked at the Penrith Valley Inn, walked straight to the GZ and found within seconds. I found it somewhere I didn't expect after getting to the GZ and very much planned to look in the most obvious place. I believe this cache is not a Small as listed, I'd say it now is a micro. Only big enough for a log. TFTC

Have replaced this cache for the third time and will be slightly changing coordinates....watch this space.
Ok. Took a new log over to replace the apparently soggy one that was there and lo and behold, once again, no cache. Muggled or swept away in the creek? Anyway I will replace this popular cache as soon as I can at a slightly higher spot than before.
Will try to stop by to change log for a dry one!!! Won't be this weekend though!!!!
Found with Steveatron. Log dripping wet. Fun to find at night. Probably looked like creepy junkies.
Good hide spot, the log sheet is damp need new log sheet asap.... SL. With Sevabo. Thanks Argeisia a Ca
We searched everywhere for this one, is it still there?
Our GPS pointed us to a valve in the water.
Checked high & low but to no avail, will have to try another time.
Thanks anyway.

Was out this way so thought I'd stop in and try my luck with this one. Found it after just a few short minutes. The place is looking much nicer these days now that the council is putting a lot of work into it.
Log was only mildly damp
Log was only mildly damp
watched westmead concorde looking for this one in the mud hehehe took him a bit but he got it we signed our names and we were off tftc
on the day of the election day what a good way of celebrating is geocaching, the area was very very muddy, counted six trolley i was on the bridge, the log was wet so i when to the car to dry it.TFTC
So there were 3 of us waiting around on the bridge (not sus at all ) while westmead_concorde had a bit of a poke around in the mud (understatement of the year) a strong hide, the log was a little bit damp but in rather good condition. Im suprised you havent got more complaints about the mud factor lol as i have a very similar hide n that appears to be all i get lol TFTC and Thanks for giving Westie dirty shoes (for once it wasnt me covered in dirt!!
This was the first one after voting with bella-ella I tried this one the thursday before but the area was flooded so we tried today when the water level was lower. bella-ella was standing on the bridge and looked for any signs of a cache as I was looking around the GZ after getting a location on the cache found it after 10 mins at the site however the cache was damp due to rain in the area over the last few days so we went back to the car to dry it so it can be written on after this was done and logged we placed back. Log needs to be inspeceted. TFTC
Went to check Peach Tree out and found it in a sorry state so changed container - hopefully the new container is much more weather proof than the old one!! thanks Deputy!!
We found Peach Tree Creek. (GC218RJ), our 5th of 6 finds and our 1258th overall find.
Cache is water logged , when I opened the cache container it was half full with water
TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache, Argeisia a Ca.

A quick find for us but have to tell you the Cache needs major attention the Cache was full of water and the log is falling to bits managed to sign something with a pen I had, tried to dry it out the best I could but now its up to you TNLN SL
I had ventured past this cache previously, but one look at the area made me turn away. Someone told me that the area had recently got the Brazilian treatment. So I ventured forth and easily found the cache, albeit not in the place I expected. Took geocoin/pin.
4:55pm
Last time we were here, this was a weed choked urban creek, so many vines and other rubbish, now, it's totally different, they are spending a lot of man hours cleaning this creek up. Youngest found this one easily. Left a coin.
Cheers

After digging about in the leaves for quite some time, we eventually found it. Great find, thanks for the cache.
Great find late at night with MRB... digging around a bit and eventually came up with the goods. TFTC
I had been here once before when the cache was is in slightly different spot. Today the place has changed so much. The council have done alot of work on this creek and with the Autumn leaves everywher it made for a pleasant find.
Thanks
Thanks
Was pushed for time on this one but eventually found it under quite a pile of leaves. Some sort of fibre matting has been laid along the banks and some new plants put in.
This one is only going to get more difficult as the leaves pile up as the last finder stated.

I don't know whether Code1 finding this before us made it easier, but NickoHeap had the cache in hand quick smart while I was still looking in the wrong place. Thanks.
Easy find, for now, although it may not be in a few weeks after all the leaves fall.
Thanks. TNLN.
Thanks. TNLN.
Found cache while visiting geo-daughter. Left magnet and took bouncing ball. TYFC
Well I will return during school hours next time. Didn’t spend too much time here BUT too many people walking across bridge. The last looker was a woman with her daughter looking down at me wondering what I was up too, she looked like the EX local member of fed government, she looked at me, I looked at her & I got the hell out of area. I will return when I now less people will be looking at me.
Have been here before without luck but this time, with a little assistance, the cache was located log signed and returned.
The cache was very wet, the container had quiet a lot of water in it!! The log book was dry in it's plastic bag. I dried it all out as well as I could, log book is now inside two plastic bags!!!

Found 15:40 on my way home. It is amazing how the area has transformed after a flood and a good clean up. Glad it was back up so I could cross it off. TNLN thanks.
Nic Easy Find this Morning.. Does this count as a FTF ????
taken Aussie Coin.. Left Small Pink Ball...

Have replaced cache with new small sistema container, the old micro magnetic keyholer having washed away in the recent high creek levels. No need to change co-ords as new cache is only 30cms from old position.
Ended up needing a torch. Retrieved cache and like the others said, log is wet, had great difficulty in signing it.

On my return home from another cache I thought I'd give this one a go.
Unfortunately there were two workmen doing some repairs to the upper parts of the bridge.
I had a quick look but will have to return another day.

Easy find after dropping Jumbuck off nearby for the jamboree bus. Log was saturated but still managed to sign it. Looks like a lot of water comes down this way.
I helped hide this one!!! Argeisia is currently away on holidays, but will keep an eye out, and check on it after wet weather...
Had a good look for this guy yesterday but walked away empty handed as I did not know the size or the hint but knew all the trees and the wandering Jew very well.
Last night after reading the cache notes and the hint it was back for another try. Widened the search area a little and started a detailed search in any likely spot, but alas this did not reveal anything that looked like a cache. OK this calls for one of Bushfires caching tools (P7) and the cache soon gave up it's hidey spot. Only gave this area a quick glance yesterday as I did think the cache would be there owning to the water problem.
By now I was a inch taller with all the mud on the boots. It was at this stage I have to agree with ruffasgutts4x4 that this cache will not survive in this location as the cache has already been under water during the recent wet weather as the log was saturated and I was lucky to sign the log.
Thanks Argeisia Ca for the cache but I would suggest you change it's location ASAP before the next heavy rain.

I have left the finders prize of a shopping trolley for the next to claim as well...
I had to paf this one, as it had me completely baffled, a well hidden cache!
Me thinks the CO is getting way too clever at hiding her caches!
Thanks for the brain strain!

We had a look for this one in the dark but we were unable to locate it on this visit. We will be back.
Another DNF on a cache hunt trip leading to the big 1000th find tomorrow at the Christmas Event (This would have been #992 getting very close now).
We would like to thank all our fellow cachers for the experiances we have had over the past year and for their time and effort within the sport / game.
We are now planing for the Oz Wagga Wagga Mega Event (April 2-5, 2010) GC1Y5R. It looks like they have recently hit the MEGA requirements, and we can’t wait to be part of it.
Merry Christmas
Happy and safe caching.
Stop Revive (or is that Cache) and Survive
Team Casho
P.S. We did it. As this was not logged untill the 13th we can now say that we hit out target with our 1000th find being logged coinsiding with the event yesterday.
Thanks to all who have been part of our adventures.

I had a pretty good go at this one, but decided to call it quits when it was too dark to see (and I couldn't be bothered to walk back to the car to get a torch). There's plenty of good spots for hiding a cache here - I just didn't look in all of them. Did see one small dragon and one largish one which was a nice surprise. TFTC.
Nice easy find.
Unfortunately it took me four goes and over an hour of looking to find it!
(They are all easy finds once you find them!?!)
T: My shopping trolley prize. There were three lined up at the parking area waiting. I took a green one.
L: Nothing
TFTC.

Woohoo!!! Another FTF!!! I was sure the caching guru's of the area would have nabbed this one by now.
I arrived here around 1300 hours and spent about 10 minutes searching all the obvious places, eventually coming up with the goods.
During heavy rain this spot could become a water fall but it should be OK for all but the heaviest down pours.
It's actually quite an interesting spot the old bridge posts still visible poking out of the water.
I logged my find and took a FTF shopping trolley prize, there's still shopping trolley prizes here for 2nd to find, 3rd to find, 4th to find.......... Be quick or you'll miss out
If not for the rubbish up stream a little it's a pretty spot Thanks for bringing me here Argesia a Ca

OK everybody, I have checked on the cache and it is still where I originally hid it. The cache is a black keyholder (MAGNET) style. Hope this helps and please put it back where you found it!!!!
DNF 17:40, and work attire was not the correct dress style for this one. Will be back ready to explore every nook and cranny. A local water dragon was sunning itself on one of the dumped shopping trolleys.
