Sadly, with construction on the road still continuing and the undergrowth still undergrowing and with whoever is living / storing things under the bridge, this cache has become unreplaceable for the time being.
when the planets realign we will endeavour to put out a new cache

We couldn't find it! Is it really under the bridge? We were a bit disappointed that we couldn't find it. Could you add some more notes about the geocache? Thanks PESRCoady

This one almost had me stumped and leaving empty handed until I found a lower path that led almost up to GZ. Quite slimy under foot. There was a Huntsman spider lurking around guarding the cache container. A quick wave of a stick and the cache was able to be grabbed.

Thanks Earthbound Chief for the cache.

Our fifth find for the day, taking advantage of the nice weather. As we drove up we spotted a likely location, but as per usual these hides tend to take some time to find. One of the passing muggles here was actually the same person we had passed at the previous hide, she was no doubt wondering how we managed to get in front of her again.
Thanks for the caches Earthbound Chief, we seem to have done quite a few of yours today Smile

I love a cache with a sense of history and this is no acception.

The car looks great and I wonder if I will now see one on the road now that I know it excists.

As for the cache I would have been lost without widening the search here.

On my next approach I spotted a familiar container.

Philipp and I signed the log and were off.

Parked very close and made our way towards GZ. There was an elderly muggle and her muggle mutt sitting right at the GZ and didn't look like she was going to move, so we walked up and leant on the rail looking at the creek hoping that she would move along. It felt like forever but the muggles finally got up and moved along. A good thing too because I ran out of things to point at. Started our search as soon as we knew the coast was clear. Good hide and nice camouflage. TNLNSL. TFTC

Thanks,

This was our fourth of fourteen caches for the day and was located at 11:10. After learning some interesting facts about a more obscure area of Australia's automotive history we were hoping to catch a glimpse of one of these custom cars. Unfortunately we were out of luck today. The cache was located quickly in the second place I looked.

Thanks Earthbound Chief for the cache and interesting piece of history.

03-Jan-10
This one took me a little longer than the others perhaps because there were so many hiding spots.
Also a couple walked their dog over while I was there and the dog growled but my cover wasn't blown.
Nice to read the history of the nearby Bolwell comany too.
Thanks

Jerric01 and I had an afternoon of caching in the Aspendale gardens area, amazing how many interesting places Geocaching can lead you.

We found this cache at 1:10pm as the 5th of 16 on our Bayside afternoon. Almost back to where we were the last time that we were here and we ran out of time. Luckily, the cache was in the most obvious place. This is an amazing story and I had never heard of the Bolwell's before today. Thanks from D, HA, H and A B-A.

Little bit tricky using only the iPhone but we were helped by hints in the recent logs and it seemed logical to be on the obvious structure in the area. Found with Andy (Bearsleys).

Found by Bob at 1500

Having checked the earlier logs for this one, I was prepared to have to make a bit of an effort here - but, luckily, I had no trouble spotting it at all, so I was pretty happy. I'd also been expecting a tougher approach, as indicated by a terrain 3, but it was really not very difficult and I'd rate it as no higher than 2. I can remember the Bolwell Nagaris, as a cousin owned one, and they certainly were a pretty cool looking car (as long as you didn't want to go off-road Wink) and I've wondered a couple of times over the years what became of the company - so thanks for filling me in.

Thanks again Earthbound Chief

31-Dec-09
Another day, and found it this time after another llengthy search - I don't know why.
Anyway, I signed the logh at 11:45am, and noticed a bit of activity at the Bollwell plant, but didn't spot a Nagari.
It's surprising to me that they can stay afloat in these days of readily available high quality sports cars from a number of high production sources.
Thanks for the cache.

29-Dec-09
With a 3 terrain rating I was expecting something a lot harder - I reckon this is only about a 1.5 (unless you are very short or the water level gets very high!). In the end it was a pretty easy find too - but it always helps when you are caching in a group. TFTC.

Didn't see any cars today although we found the loot along with Tealby. The latest model on the web looks quite zippy. Thanks for the cache and history lesson.

Found in a likley spot! You just had to look for a while. I remember the Bolwell Nagari with the 351 Cleveland from the Falcon GT. This thing could go like stink. There were many racing around the time that this was made. Most of us young blokes wanted a Nagari at the time, the problem was they stopped making them too soon. I also recall seeing the new version, I think on YouTube and whilst it had a Toyota engine in it, it still went pretty well. Later today we saw a new Aston Vantage and when the driver put the foot down, the V12 sounded glorious.........Ah well enough of the dreaming.. Thanks Earthbound Chief for the cache.

19-Dec-09
I tried for this cache 10 days ago, and spent quite a bit of time without success. Today I was close by, and decided to have another look. This time it took about 1 minute. I thought I'd looked and felt in all the nooks and crannies, but obviously not. Thanks for the cache.

17-Dec-09
This was cache # 18 of 37 for the day, In the company of Alansee, on our second tour of the Bayside suburbs and Mornington Peninsula. I have to admit I was more interested in Bolwells than the cache, I had spent some time employed by kenworth and I knew exactly what fiberglass body parts went on what trucks. My thanks to Earthbound Chief for the cache.

17-Dec-09
I have seen a couple of Bolwell's around but had never thought where they might have been made. There were none out the front by the time we got here tonight, so we thought we might as well just get the cache. Smile
Thanks, Robmc.

17-Dec-09
Found on a wet but generally enjoyable day out caching with Acts2YouthGroup. Arrhh that Bolwell. A2Y knew of them but I didn't. There were several grey pieces of work as we arrived. The coordinates turned out to be pretty good and his extra height made for his find and easier retrieval. Thanks to Earthbound Chief for the cache.

16-Dec-09
Tristan has come for a flying visit back in time.

16-Dec-09
I've never even heard of this company before today.
I'm not that much into cars - just as long as they get me from A to B, and they don't cost me too much on repairs.
And I most certainly wouldn't go spending $200K on a car - I'd take it if it were given to me though Wink
Thanks again Earthbound Chief for the cache.

16-Dec-09
Somehow I knew about this comapny and the brand way back in the 70's or 80's. I think it was because of a cousin of mine who had a desire to own one of these things. Myself; I'm into cars but not to that extent, in fact not the style either. In any case a good example of someone building on their dreams I guess.
Thanks Earthbound Max

Found by PR&F on 13/12/09 @ 3.10pm. #11 of 21 finds with geohusband and The Empire today.
Spent some time here searching and we weren't having much luck. Having a feel for the area, I'd come to the conclusion that I was not going to be able to reach it.

Yet Another Joint FTF With Coverthypnosis @ 00:35Hrs.
Thanks to Earthbound Chief & Covert Who sent me a message when i was in the middle of making a PDF Form But getting an FTF was a nice break from stering @ the Computer screen. On the way to GZ i had a look @ the cache page & then said to covert that reconed i could Find this one without the GPSr. I knew the area because i use to work just around the corner from GZ. We proceded to the parking spot i did have the GPSr with me but in the end i had a fair idea were the container would be hidding.
Looks like Starruby might have to settle for another STF. If he is Lucky. LOL

Ps: I had been thinking of placing a cache not to far from GZ but i might shelf those for the time being.
