Big day out up on Mt Donna Buang scooping up the more remote caches. This was the seventh of the day, last of the ones on my trek, and nice quick find, looping back towards my car. Aching legs!! TFTC.
Cache in good condition, slightly damp. Changed hint as the fallen log is rotted and indistinguishable. Thanks to HiPressure for placing the Cache, I will be looking after it now.regards from Victourer
This cache is available for adoption. Please contact Cache Guardians using the Message system.
Found this one on the way up to Donna Buang, a nice day and a nice track. A relatively easy find with no one around.
With a whole Cup weekend of geocaching planned, we headed out to the wilds of Mt DB. The plan was to get some bush walking done well off grid. Found it all except the small rock so had to remedy that. TFTC
Thank you high pressure, thought id do the loop mount Victoria back down to 10 mile car park pick up a few caches on the way. Beaut day for it. Regards from Vic
Had to use the hint as my GPS pointed me to the wrong side of the track. This was the first of only 2 caches I ended up finding. It started raining more heavily so I had to abandon some other caches.
Nicely hidden, & still seems in good shape.

On a Mild Summers day", but just as well, a party of 5 started this grueling sweaty walk up from Warburton. It is known to be a training hill for the Kokoda Trail in PNG. To get some caches was a bonus. We were a party of 5 then 3 as one member found the hills too risky for his health condition. 2 went back down and met us up at the summit as they drove up to meet us.
After passing the road it was the final climb around to the summit via Mt Victoria. A much easier climb, I found all 4 hi pressure caches to the top. With the help of my 2 buddies, this one was soon found and signed. We hid it a bit better, and just in time as 50 hikers came down from the summit in a long chain - all smiling!

by the time this cache and its neighbours were tackled, the legs were feeling pretty rooted
but with only this trio in the neighbourhood left to try it seemed a worthwhile expenditure
right near the cache i was convinced i heard a serpentine slither but minutes of waiting and watching and poking fingers into dark dingy recesses thankfully revealed nothing reptilian
curious how this treasure is a terrain-3 but the one higher up the slope is a terrain-2
one must presume that the road was once open and traversable by more than just walkers and management but it seems those days are done
good thing i had my boots on already then

We needed a big outdoor adventure to re-calibrate our mental health. And after much umm’ing and ahh’ing decided looking for remote caches, with sanitiser and social distancing, would be a reasonable approach.
Spent around 7 hours behind Warburton and saw nobody for the day. We decompressed and are calmer, ready to re-enter near-lockdown.
Making our way up from the road we saw the likely GZ but iphone wanted us to go a little further. Eventually headed back down and made the find. Thanks heaps for an outdoor adventure and breath of fresh air.

We found this cache today at 4:15pm on our Emerald to Donna Buang Bounty Hunt. The last time, I had climbed this track for a find was way back in 2004. Today, not so far up. Thanks from D & HA B-A

Out this way with Biggles1024 and SteMicMitSar for the last of the Yarra expedition events and picking up some caches along the way. We headed up the track towards this one. Mark and Steve had both found it previously so they left me to search. Luckily it didn’t take to long to find.

Today was a perfect day to go out to the hillsides of the Warburton area and help 88andy88 do some maintenance and find some awesome caches with some awesome bush scenic views and just get away from the hustle and bustle of life.
So here we are.
A fantastic walk up the hill to make the tricky find.
Will be much easier for others to retrieve now too.

11/6/17 3:49 pm #2378 Taking a meander in the hills today with RoxyP hunting a few different caches and performing some maintenance while at it.
After a little bit of force i moved the large rock and removed the hidden cache. Lid wasn't on and was now full of water.
Replaced cache completely and signed the new logbook .
Thanks for the adventure.

On a walk with friends, one cacher (Clint&Abby) in the early hours from the carpark to the top of Donna Buang. Well this one was a bit of a challenge. Not from a searching aspect as we soon could see the cache, but it was more about how to get it out. The cache hasn't been found for almost a year and it looks like in that time a tree has fallen and now blocked the ability to get the cache out.
We tried to remove the rocks that were on the top with no luck, dig under it, no luck. Finally we were able to get two hands onto the cache, open the container and get the log. The log was quite wet but we were able to sign on it. It took a fair bit to close the container. No chance of this cache going missing!
Fav point from us for the fun and challenge it provided us.

Wow! This one was a challenge. I wish I took a photo of Martin (from Team Justice) hunched over this, both arms deep in the crevice up to his elbows manipulating the container to extract the log. It reminded me of a joke which I shan't repeat here, but will happily recount to any interested listeners at the next event. Thanks for the challenge, TFTC!
**Maintenance Log:**
Cache container was drained and cleaned out. Log book was slightly damp but full functional.
Cache found on a walk up the mountain to enjoy the views.

Out and about with joeyjoejoe81 to replace one of my caches at mt donna why not do a few along the way tftc. Little damp this one
Found at 11:38 AM GAFF1.
We are now just about at the bottom and we are looking a mess. I think I will throw out my trousers and shoes - they will never get clean again [B)] This is the second time we have done this track - thought that we would never do it again after the first time.
Thanks hi pressure.

Walking past this one today to do some maintenance on Nutcaches nearby cache it seemed like a good idea to grab this one. Initially I stuffed it up as I was working manually and had entered the wrong co-ords into my GPS. Once I realized that the cache wasn't 50m off the track in the middle of the bush I re-entered my co-ords and guess what? I was standing 6m away from the cache. Nice. Thanks for another great cache hi_pressure!

Not quite a park and grab but just a short stroll and jog back down. Unfortunately out of time to complete the summit walk. That's another day for sure. Thanks for having this one close enough to the road but far enough to feel like I stretched the legs.
Found a likely spot near GZ but the only thing I could find was many leeches, after 20mins, dying batteries & geoson got his first leech we gave up. Try again another time when batteries are in better health
Amazing how few people come walking here... After almost 2 months not discovered, I can confirm it is still there! TFTC and greetings from Belgium!
Found this on a balmy Saturday afternoon while the rest of the world watched a footy match TFTC
Great hiding spot. Lucky to find as snow had melted just enough. Both pens in cache frozen, forgot my pen, never again!! Left a spotted leopard. Thanks again hi pressure.
Out on a Friday night adventure with Poptoppete picking up a few caches. Lots of wombats tonight. Tftc

Find #846
I teamed up with my caching partner Stemicmitsar and headed out in search of unloved caches. Mt Donna Buang and it's environs contained many suitable caches.
Confronted by a locked gate (see photo) but with no signage indicating that entry was forbidden, we proceeded on foot to GZ.
Steve made the find quite quickly here and then we headed off to the next cache.

Found @ 7:45pm, find # 2888.
This time we started from the bottom of the track and made our way up to this one, once there it was a quick search and the cache was found. I opened the cache to find a bit of water inside. After emptying out all the water I retrieved the logbook which was still ok and signed it, the cache was replaced and we headed up the hill towards the next cache.
Thanks to hi pressure for placing this cache.

Stopped at the bottom of the track and made the nice stroll up to this one. This time E10707 beat me to it. Was very cold walking the way back down. TFTC.
Found this one as part of a cache run from Warburton to Healesville with Geowife and geokid, plus Spiffy- and E10707 who spotted this one first and we all signed the log. TFTC
Found this one from the road end walking up in the company of Moosetash. Thanks hi pressure for the cache.
A quick find as we walked up from the bottom to collect these bottom couple. Saw some people that we had passed twice up the top of the track, I'm sure they were wondering what we were doing. Thanks for the walk and the cache.

Another great cache. Thanks for bringing us back to this walk that we last did many years ago.
Enjoyed hanging out with the leaches here today. This one almost had us fooled. 2 of us examined this tree but decided that it wasn't the right one as the things that looked out of place could not be moved. 3rd time lucky and we got it! TFTC hi_pressure.
Went for a wet cold walk today. This wasn't my objective but it was a good find near the third tree examined.
Found @1419 #1585
Found after finding another cache near by. The walk to this one was easier and after a brief search cache was in hand. Cache is in good cache and the log dry. Today there was lots of cloud cover but it wasn't raining and the walk had me feeling quite warm. Thanks for bringing me here. TFTC hi pressure

Up the area to retrieve my unreleased cache. This is a lovely area of Victoria and on a day like today it is at its best. Parked the car on Donna Buang Road this time and walked in.
Nice easy cache and it is in good condition.
Thanks for the cache Nutcache.

Thanks for the cache Nutcache.
Found at 19:11. Had to give LR1 near the Telecom tower a miss due to the lack of time to perform an extensive search. The GPSr took us about ten metres past this cache where there a little juvenile tiger snake, which disappeared down some cracks near a tree. As cute as it was, we were a bit hesitant to search that particular tree and feared the cache may have been there. We searched some other trees before realising the cache was back up the track by 10 metres. There's also an impressive mountain ash tree just a few metres off the track and into the bush. Unfortunately by the time we did get back to the car and into town, we'd missed out on a pub meal by 20 minutes and had to settle for pizza. Though thanks for the caching fun.
4th find of the day, and 3176th total find at 1:13:00 PM.
We decided to do this series starting from the top, as we thought this would be the easier direction.
Nearly to the bottom. Now for the slog back up to the summit.
(Penny hurt her foot, sowe managed to thumb a ride back to the top.)
Took: Nothing
Left: screwdriver
Thanks hi pressure for the cache

It was cold, wet and my socks were wet as well but I was excited
to find my a waiting gold!
to find my a waiting gold!
We found it on a misty and wet afternoon as our 4th of the day. Great hide and hard to spot! Cheers from Holland! TFTC
The drive to the parking place was already wonderful. And the walk was even better. Especially for a bunch of workers from Holland, that decided to spend their free Sunday hunting caches. We enjoyed the walk, and that little bit of rain did not bother us at all.
In a very beautiful region lies the trail to the Summit. We walked only a part of it because it was already late and started to rain. But we loved it. TFTC.
Perfect 9/9 this afternoon. Nice track, not too steep but glad I used two cars and walked from top to 'bottom'. Thanks for keeping the trek interesting "Hi Pressure"

My last cache on a busy caching day, unfortunately I have run out of time to get all 4 in this series, next time....

Four out of four. Lovely stuff! This is a tricky little hide. Took me ages to spot this bad boy. Got there in the end though. Had a great mornings walk and hunt. It was a thrilling intro to the whole geocaching lark. I was well impressed by the way the caches were hid so as to cause no impact on the surroundings and yet still present a challenge. Nice work Hi Pressure. You'll be hearing from me soon when I next get a chance to go out caching.
Found by Bob at 1215
It was a perfect sort of day to tackle the caches along this path up the mountain. I seemed to have the whole area pretty much to myself on a weekday and enjoyed the walk to GZ and an easy find.

Thanks again hi pressure

[blue][font=Comic Sans MS] This was 12/14 on our Tour de Warburton. Quick easy find. TFTC
GOlly, GPS had me searching about 20m away in the bush across the track, and had given up after 30 minutes searching and was just starting to walk up track to next one when I saw the tell tale signs, so ended up leaving grumpy, but happy to have found it.
Found this afternoon with Wild Josh. Enjoyed the walk and hide at GZ was a nice deep hollow. Nice large cache. TNLN thanks hi pressure.
Found this while doing one of the bushwalking tracks around Mt Donna Buang. Very early in the snow season, just a light scattering of snow on the mountain. Pretty, but cold. Wish I'd thought to check the geocaching site before heading out!
Having just finished making our way to and from the Millgrove Track cache it was nice to be walking on a "four lane highway" for the start of our journey up to Mt Donna Buang. We were looking forward to a reasonably gentle stroll with some caches along the way, and this got us off to a good start. It's SOOO nice to find big containers in the bush, compared to urban micros. Thanks hi pressure.
Found at 13:04 with SamCarter after completing the Milgrove Track and stopping for lunch. After the previous scramble the track up to this one was pure luxury! Thanks for providing so many good caches in this area hi pressure.
First cache we found once we swapped the bitumen for shanks Pony and set off for the summit. Checked a few places before we found the cache.
Thanks
Thanks
We started at the bottom and walked up to this one. The GPS had us looking on the wrong side of the road, but eventually found the right side.
Onwards and upwards.
Thanks, Robmc.

On the way up I had really bad GPSr signal so left it for on the way back after finding To Summit Up and replacing Barad Dur & Orthank. It took a while to find it as signal was still a bit lo, but eventually came up with the goods. TNLN thanks Hi Pressure.
Had a nice walk up here (with a helicopter overhead), and found it without too much trouble. No swaps, thanks for the cache!
The final cache on our trek, and a nice easy find to round things off.
The weather cleared just in time for us to retrace our steps and enjoy the hike again. This time without getting distracted by GPS co-ords and fog and leeches (we hope).
A wonderful trail, and highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a good day outdoors.
Now on to the look-out point and toboggan runs... ^_^

Started from bottom at 7am plan was to get to summit then come back down, found no problem, wasn’t expecting cache that big. This is what I love a cache that involves a bit of effort TFTC SL TNLN
After a great stroll down the track we split up to find the cache. It seems our respective units wanted to point in different directions but after allowing them to settle Alansee made the find.
Thanks for being a gracious host and for showing is this great little walking track today.

As we walked to this one we went past where there once was a cache, but where the area had been bulldozed for no obvious reason. It happened to one of mine too! This cache was found quickly in a neat little hide.
Found at 1615. The last cache along the trail, and once the cache was found, I was really glad to have done the walk from top to bottom rather from bottom to top.
A fantastic walk all round hi pressure, and five caches to boot...you can't ask for much more than that. Just don't go placing another one along there anytime soon.
Thanks for the company on the walk and the caches.

FTF. Summit sown was exactly what we were doing and we were soon out the phone towers where we checked out where a nutcache cache should be but looks like it has been dozed away to form a fire break around the towers, we were enjoying the walk so much we over shoot this one by 100m, to much talk and not enough checking the gps, the cache was soon in hand once we were at GZ. As we drove back up to the top we spotted a deer just standing in the middle of the road. My thanks to hi pressure for placing these caches along the track.
Well done acts2youthgroup on the FTF..
Must have just missed you on the mountain as I returned to put pens in the 3 caches.
Then I came home to edit the 3 cache pages.
Wish I had organized another car, because I walked from the bottom of the track to the top.
The walk down was much easier than the walk up.
