While the area is now safe to return to. I cannot get there for a while so this will be archived and in due course will be replaced with a more fireproof container and moved to a better more protected location, as a new cache.
Stopped with some fellow bush walkers (ace7, benzolatte, and dan the man ) on our way to bell to complete a green cord hike for one of he scouts. Great spot and of course views. Thanks rogerw3.
Well, thought it could be in a number of spots here but geoson 3, the climbing one, spotted it first. Followed the hints re the dirt track but this ended about 90 metres away from the cache (did find the real track soon after but a small cliff got in the way) so grabbed the kiddies and ran to mostly warm up but also find the cache. Nice spot, amazing views! TFTC rogerw3
PS. Log and cache were a bit damp.
PS. Log and cache were a bit damp.
Looked in the type of spots I've come to expect from rogerw3 and this one nearly got me, a bit different. A cold, wet, winter's day but fun caching. TFTC.
What a great rock to climb, lovely views. Cache little damp, but nothing to worry about, TFTC
I spotted this on my way over to my fearless expedition leaders's place after the Autumn in the Bluies event.
A wonderful little stop over and surprising view. I made the find a little harder than I should but had an ahha moment eventually.
Thx Roger for another excellent vista.

I love these VIEW caches! Defenitely have to plan a few more for the next trip up this way! We parked at the main road and walked down, driving would have been possible, but I don't think it saves much time and we could use some fresh air anyway.

I spent a bit of time searching the wrong spot before finally cache located. Found with friends as we came this way today for the Bluies event. The day looks to be a great Autumn day and we just love finding the many different and rewarding caches up this way. Made short work here, great views, and was soon back on the road. SLTN..TFTC
This is a spot that I've driven by countless times. The cache location is the reminder I needed that I should really slow down and take in some of these magnificent views.
Cache was found in good order, signed and returned safe and sound.
Thanks roger

After a torturous couple of years, the kids TB Locomoting Locust finally made it into this cache about 9 Months ago. Started its journey in Ballarat, with a simple mission of making it back home to Sydney. Finally thought enough was enough and geared the Family up for an assault and liberation of the bug. Made the trek up the mountain, drove in to GZ down the wrong road and almost went over a cliff, spent far too long looking for the cache, and about to give up in despair- but then, SUCCESS! Camera out, kids poised to open the cage and set free our unhappy wanderer... Not there. Anticlimax aside, fabulous cache, in a great spot, and as always thanks for the excuse to get out about and see something new! TFTC.
After finishing a day of canyoning somewhat early, I deemed it a good idea to head over to Katoomba for a beer, and of course some caches. This was the first stop. I looked in all of the wrong places for FAR too long, until I changed my perspective and made the easy find.
Cheers

Found this cache at 4;30pm while on our way to Katoomba for the weekend. Had a stroll on the track down to the right hand scramle into the bush and then came across this magnificent naturaaly carved rock (Wanted to bring it home and put in front yard.) This one was a bit tricky for a couple of old Bushies, but we managed to stretch and retreiveand replace. The views from here were fantstic.
Favourite point from us.
Thanks Rogerw3 for the hide.

Part drive/part stroll down track. A couple of circles before the Cache caught eye. A thank you to rogerw3 for the true find .... a gorgeously camouflaged yellow/green-streaked blue tongue(?) lizard. TFTC

Bit of a scramble after turning off the highway just a bit too north. But found after short search TFTC!
TFTC what a great location. Thanks for taking us to such a beautiful place. This is our 3rd of your caches today. All have been excellent.
Thank you for making caching more interesting by placing this cache.
Left TB took stickers.

just enough room for a 5 point turn at the end of this track, i wouldn't be taking a 2WD down it.

We were in the area today attempting the BMPT series of caches. Along the way we also attempted dome nearby caches - this was one of them. Accurat coordinates led to a quick find of this cache which was in agood hide. The cache container and it's contents were ib very good condition. TFTC rogerw3.
This one took alot longer than it should have. Maybe it was the afternoon dappled light. TNLN, TFTC
A quick stop on the way to Katoomba, Took a while to find the best way in, which in the end was straight ahead. Found the cache, along with a hundred angry black ants that were nesting under it. Certainly made for a tricky (and slow) extraction and replacement. Cheers.
We parked beside the main road and walked down to the cache. Nice area, nice weather, what more can you ask for.
4349 + 376 = 4725. Sol de Lune and I attempted the Blue Mountains Power Trail this weekend - along with other GC, GCA and trigs caches - a great couple of days !!
This one took a few minutes to drive and walk in. A bit of a scramble at the end - but we soon had the cache in hand. Thanks rogerw3 !

Bit of adventure with one. Took the 4WD along the track, but with heavy ground it was hard going, and with the fog there wan't much to see.
Still all good fun, thanks for another rogerw3. Photo's attached.

We were driving over the Mt Wilson, so the 'View' caches along the Darling Causeway were a pleasant diversion on the way. This one was a bit of a challenge as light was rapidly fading. Luckily it was quickly found & we could be back on the road to the next in the series.
Thanks roger
Thanks roger
Mr Chippyroo went for a walk in the pouring rain as we only had one jacket with us. We parked on the side of the road within 40m of the cache and he walked in as we weren't too keen on taking the Geofalcon off road in the wet just in case.
Mr Chippyroo moved a rock at GZ and was startled by thousands of bull ants that were inhabiting GZ. He had to use a stick to clear the ants from the cache before removing it.
There was a bit of low level cloud around but there were still some great views. TFTC.

Parked just off the side of Causeway and walked back down 4WD track. Pretty easy walk and nice little location at GZ for kids to climb. TFTC
Great cache.

Did the double with the cache down the road. Didn't bother with driving the track, just walked down from the road. TFTC.
Couldn't find how to get onto the 4WD track. We managed to drive within 100m and Eatmorchikin decided he would just leg it. Found after a short search. TFTC...eatmorchikin & Stigglepot, Brisbane
I'm surprised how long it's been since this one was done. It was a nice piece of rock to clamber around, and found easily where we would have expected. Thanks
Decided we weren't dressed for bush walking, so gave this a miss after getting to within 50 metres of GZ.
Reperio at 1730. Got the 2WD to GZ without any hassles, but with a lack of area to turn around, I ended up having to reverse back the way I came. Nice little outcrop of rocks.
Gratias.

We went to get this one but it was to wet for us to walk in and to slippery to drive in on the track so we will leave it till next year when we are in the area again.

Had a little trouble picking the trail to cache so followed others along a distinctive caching trail from road, in any case found an electrical flat blade screw driver along the way to cache, thank you just cleaning up the environment, crossed the trail then onto the cache, a nice cache location found. TFTC / TFTH / SL
Drove right up to this one via the track for an easy find. A lovely area, even in the rain.
Number 5. Didn't see the dirt track so parked just off the road and bushbashed down the hill. Remembered pjmpjm's photos from the View 3-23 Bell site, so didn't really even need the GPS. TFTC. TOOK TB.
Wandered down the slope from where we parked the car for a quick find. Not bad views on this sunny winter's day. Made no swaps however dropped off "Mork the Frog" TB and picked up the Georola TB.
Found this one quite easily on a beautiful, sunny day. Wind was whipping across the Blue Mountains, however, and the temperature was about 5 degrees in the sun. Nice views -- as always with rogerw3 cache placements.
Cache container was in very good shape and the contents were dry. Left Georola Mobile Phone TB. TNSL. Published coordinates seemed pretty good to me.
All in all, a pleasant visit and a memorable view. First time up the Darling Causeway in nearly a year and I enjoyed the drive and scenery.
Thanks to rogerw3 again!

Found whilst riding my bike around the block. Nice little spot out of the way but very close to the main road. Had a great ride dodging the numerous storms travelling around.

Pushed our way down the 4WD track for a short distance
then made our way on foot to the GZ.
Great outlook from on top of the rock formation.
Recovered the cache, signed the log, left a thong
keyring and we were on our way

What a fantastic location. Have been along this road many times and it's a surprise to see what is just beyond the road views. Found cache at 13:35 after walking across from 'Tracks' cache. TNLN

This was a tricky one over bushland terrain. It took 2 attempts to find - mainly because it was hard to park on one side and too far away from the cache. Eventually found. TFTC.
Crusing through the Blue Mountains with Aural Culture...lovely view from the cache, worth the visit.

Found it pretty easy. And man those march flies are big in the bush. Left nothing and took nothing.
An easy find after i legged it from the top road as the track was just a tad to scratchy ! great spot but no views today as way to much for ! thanx for bringing us here ! took the TB
FTF 13:15 with geo-wife, geo-pup and Cattledog-81. Cattledog-81’s first easy off road adventure in his new Forrester. Nice views and exchanged swaps and left TB. Thanks.
Found on a days caching with jkcourtz. Great views Thanks for bringing me here
Wow enough phone coverage to log the cache.

This was a hiding spot well protected from the elements, so everything was dry. It's a scenic area and I enjoyed the search. Thank you for setting up the cache, in a slightly isolated and interesting area. The coordinates were precise... Bow (Motorist)
A quick detour while on my way west. It was raining and unfortunately there wasn't any view with clouds down to GZ. It wasn't long before I was soaked from the wet scrub, the cache found, and on my way back to the car. As I had a trailer in tow I wasn't sure whether the lower track would be traversable, so like most other cachers I parked "up top".

Maybe next time I'm through the area there will be some actual views to go with the Views3 cache !!!

On the way to Mt Victoria from Mt Wilson for some supplies we made the short detour to this one. The work Commodore had a bit of an issue with clearance but we got there. Another in the series down. TFTC!
Found it on the second lap. Some nice views form here too.
Why is it you always find the easy track on the way out.
Thanks rogerw3 and keep these view series coming.

A quick stop on the way home and a bit of a stumble through the bush in the dark brought us to GZ. After a short search we had the cache and completed the formalities before continuing our journey.

A quick walk down from the cooling blacktop and we were at the cache location, never a simple hide lol.
After opening the cache, we noticed that Rats had been into it, damn things get into everything!!
No views tonight, but the area by moonlight was quite nice.

As the cache owner was doing one of my caches I was doing one of his. This is my first one of this series but by weeks end I hope to have them all. I much prefer the views to the east from on top of the hill. I love the Grose Valley in the late afternoon sun.

Saw this one come up the previous night and seeing as it is fairly close to a well used road we thought we may have a bit of a problem keeping our record intact of getting the FTF's on the series. Next morning after getting a couple of chores out of the way we headed off to find the latest installment. After finding the correct the correct way in we were able to park with in about 14 metres.
The cache was easily located and the logbook promptly opened only to find we were not second to find but the log was still blank. Whoo another FTF.
Yet another nice location with views right back over to Hassans Walls. We are still really loving the View3-x series.
