With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Were here for Geo Toroa (Dunedin Mega). Between flight cancellations and re-routing, things could only get better, right? But wait, theres more! Somewhere on our caching escapades, I dropped my wallet (Tuesday) Its still at large, so if anyone finds itOne of us usually drives, the other is the retriever. That works for us. Weve either logged caches with our separate handles, or weve used FANGS to sign the logbook. Using the latter handle is more for mental health and well being. Its tiring having to write 15 + characters on each logbook Weve joined MDF - Our BoP Teammates. Our goal is to put a few more smilies onto our geomap to the north of Dunedin. This was one of the caches we visited and found successfully. Thanks Bitsprayer. TFTC.
Down here for the Dunedin Geo Toroa Event from the sunny Bay of Plenty,Tauranga and are with some of Team BoP. Great to get together with our fellow cachers. Signed Logs MDF. (McJandals,Davidson clan & NZ Flossy)I am logging using the Cachly App and using their template option which helps with my memory for logging. I genuinely thank every CO for their time and effort put into these caches. Much appreciated.
Down in Dunedin for the Mega event. Travelling with Davidsonclan and McJandals. Really fun to be out and about with the team and catching up with other cachers friends from everywhere. Thanks to all the organisers and all the COs for some great caches. It is certainly a lovely area of New Zealand TFTC
Down in Dunedin for the Mega this weekend with McJandals and NZFLOSSY. Signed the log sheet MDF Thanks for the cache.
Wow... that is one historic log book dating back to my last visit years ago! And its in excellent condition to boot, must be testiment to the quality of the construction around it and its hobbit hole.. what a buzz to return at random and remember and read the last visit!

Quick stop before heading to the Mountain. Thanks for the second cache of the day.
A few days away caching with Nosynel. Never noticed this wall before. Picked up the TB also. Tftc, Bitsprayer#9950
I wouldn't have had such an interesting trip without your geocache. Thanks so much for hiding and maintaining this cache. Our first stop since leaving the Dunedin area.
Thanks for highlighting this old railway feature. Certainly have never noticed it when driving past. Quickly found. Dropped TB.
Thanks for the cache, Bitsprayer

A combo of my favourite things - a little climb; pine forests and stonewalls - my family built dry stone walls! Lovely.
Found with Piwaka54 on our epic southern adventure. Now heading north

What a cool find this wall is. Would never have known this was here, had it not been for the cache. Not quite opposite the hint item, but fairly close - I was looking at the wrong part of the wall at first, and then thought the tree nearby was obscuring GZ, but then found a more open section and soon located the cache. A fav vote from me. TFTC.
Interesting place that you can’t see from the road. I parked at the nearby rest area and there is a big caravan parked up and it seems to have been there for ages. They have really made themselves at home here
A day with little traffic made it a pleasant stop. Nice and soft underfoot. An impressive wall that you can't see from the road as you rush by. All in good nick.
Had a quick look and scramble up to gz and.. hay presto a cache located. Cheers ??
There is so much history hidden in the bush if you take the time to look, thanks for showing me the wall. Nice quick find thanks Bitsprayer

Wow what an unusual place for a stone wall. I was so surprised when I climbed up here. Cache all ok thanks bitsprayer
Finally made it out here to grab the challenge caches. In the area with Minion 1 to visit Minion 2. Took a tour around the backroads to grab some others and we came across the Shetland pony club taking them out in pony drawn carts. A lovely day to be driving and caching.
On our trip thru NZ we visit a lot of places and see many spectacular locations.
This cache was one of our stopps thanks a lot to the owner.

On a quest to complete the Hidden Creatures challenge so again off to Oamaru to find about 80 caches and this was one of them. I have driven past here a million times and you wouldn't know this wall was here. TFTC
Auf dem Weg von Lake Tekapo nach Dunedin haben wir am Wegesrand die Dosen eingesammelt. Diese konnten wir gut finden. Danke fürs Legen,
We are on a road trip around the south of the South Island. Today we drove from Dunedin to Christchurch. There was heaps of traffic on the road past GZ. We scrambled up the slope with the aid of the overhanging tree and spotted the hide straight away. TFTC.
Sadly on our way back down to Dunedin after the Geo Fest Omaru 2017, and stopping in on some high favorite caches along the way with NZTravellers, KeyLev, and UncleSamNZ.

In the area for the geofest...after some FTF fun we decided to return to the original plan which was to head to Dunedin whilst stopping for some high favourited caches along the way...we were not disappointed!!
Didn't take too long to locate, sign and be on our way.
Thanks for the cache.

The last day of our geocaching adventure with team SEAC 17 in Oamaru for the Geofest. had a great time during the weekend and saw some great sights around Danseys Pass, through the lakes and the clay cliffs of Omarama and of course the funky Steam punk and historic buildings around Oamaru. Who knew this gem of an area was tucked away in the South Island!
On our way back to Dunedin to catch a flight home and decided to target highly favourite caches along the way - otherwise we would never get home! a much needed loo break here and a cache find and then on our way. would have lingered but the rain was pretty persistent! TFTC!

What a cool find.. how do u do it Mr Bit?..stop at random spots for smoko and take a wander with a cache? awesome fav from us:-)
Rather a surprise to find this nicely built stone structure here, I would never have known about it without the cache to take me to it! Spotted a likely hiding spot as I approached and yes, the cache was indeed there. Signed log, TFTC
Begins our holiday in NZ in Christchurch, we came from Italy to find our son who lives there for two years.
Today we decided on a multi-day tour, after stopping at Omarama today continues to Dunedin, scenic road we will stop on the lakes that meet
Dunedin is back in Chch, stopping to pick up some cache
Greetings from Italy

out and about to catch a few caches. Making the most of a rare sunny spring day. Thanks to everyone for your caches.
Nice quick P&G on the way to Christchurch. Found a spot to safely pull over and off for a wee scramble into the trees and up the bank. Never knew this wall was here...how cool! TFTC
Took the young son to help get this one had it not been for caching we would never have known about this wall tftc!
On a trip south to head to the Higlanders Game on Saturday and collect some caches on the way. Nice location that reminds you of why I cache (to take me places I probably normally wouldn't). Thanks for the cache.
heading back down to Dunedin to catch up with KJR seems like only yesterday I was there ( oh it was ) work was cancelled for the week so good opportunity to grab a few more southern caches . was meeting up with K so had a little time to grab a couple on my way down

A plan was hatched for a geocaching trip with eve07 and challispoint and young eve07. This was one of many found. Gave this one a favorite as would not have known about this wall with caching.
Took a bit a bit climbing but easy enough once we got there. It was our last cache for the day and the last of our 6 day trip, sightseeing and caching around the West Coast.

On the way to Dunedin we made as short break and had a look for mussel shells, after we found some nice pieces at this nice beach, i went up the hill and found first the well hidden wall and after that also the cache.

After parking up at the Waikouaiti Golf Club yesterday it was time to go exploring the countryside a tad north of here. If it wasn't for a cache I wouldn't have known this was here.
Cheers for the cache.

Wasn't an easy climb with flipflops on. But I managed and quickly discovered the hidden treasure!
On holiday from England and exploring New Zealand in a campervan for 30 days to celebrate our 60th birthdays. Traveling along this lovely road and turned off to look at the beach then realized that there was a cache nearby. Started the search, no luck so checked the hint, and not being local we didn't know what it was opposite. Made a wrong guess and still no luck. Then brainwave, used Google and thought "never knew they were called that" and soon had the cache. TFTC
Bitsprayer, you should set up a camera. I certainly would have been amusing to watch clambering up the bank with phone in one hand and dog's lead and accompanying dog in the other, whilst trying not to let go of either!
I wonder how you knew there was such a fine wall here?
Many thanks a great rest for my crew, kids playing on the beach whilst I wandered off.

Mega trip to NZ with vipema, Veke68 and Katsukka, logged as TVVKFIN. We stopped here on our way back to CHCH from Mount Cargil. Yes, it was well hidden. Thanks for the cache.
Long time dream came true and we could visit New Zealand. NZ Mega was our maingoal and we had time to find others too. We travelled together with Veke68, Katsukka and tanjuli (+husband) and had great time. We used TVVK Fin (that is tanjuli, vipema, Veke68 and Katsukka) in mostly logbooks to save space.
Thanks for the cache.

Day #6 geocaching in NZ in good company (=tanjuli + husband, vipema, Veke68 & Katsukka = TVVK-FIN in the logbooks, most of the time), today we headed to Dunedin and back to Christchurch again. Had a great time, enjoyed the mostly sunny day and found a lot of caches + saw so many interesting/beautiful places.
Thank you!!!!
Thank you!!!!
Caching holiday in New Zealand with Tanjuli, Vipema and Katsukka continues and today nice trip from Christchurch to Dunedin and back. Lot of kilometers but many nice caches and of course couple of very old caches too.
We logged mostly only TVVK-FIN to save space in the logbook.
Thanks!!

Bit of a scramble up the hill. Then a bit of a search. Enjoyed this one being sheltered from the road and the wind. TFTC.
Who would have thought this was here? Just a bit of seeking and there it was. TFTC
Found with Busy paws after a little scramble and search, love discovering interesting little places like this. TFTC
