5991. Rodney did the trek up today. Hard to believe that only a few years ago Rodney actually RAN all the way up to the top!!! Today he hobbled the relatively short distance to the cache. Age and arthritis have taken their toll! It was a reasonably quick find once he jumped the fence. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
27 of 63 on a days caching with ingidayna. A good walk up the hill and then a quick easy find. TFTC
Didn't find the road to the tanks, so it was Shanks' pony all the way. The cache was well covered but the hint was sufficient to make a find.
Quick easy find.
Walked up from "Take a Pic from this angle".
TFTC!

Took a little to find the right track. Correction, the GPS routing didn't figure it out, so I took over and had a nice short stroll to the cache. Cheers Gav [10570]

Quick grab after driving up the road...

While we were up this way to find Take a Pic it just made sense to grab this one too.

Nice easy find while out for a after dinner strole with Geodad, I think the walk up the hill worked off our big feed.

After lunch at the benches near 'Take a Pic From Here', we headed back to Palmerston fro a much-needed coffee, so took a slight detour to grab this one. A really impressive structure, with some interesting, non-obvious plumbing.

Papa and Granville on a North Otago caching trip. Quick find, you just have to pick the right post. Salamat!
Find #22 of the day and #501 overall. I had thought this was find #500 and selected it on the go after failing to find a couple on my list earlier in the day. Clearly I cannot do maths in my head. Amongst the privacy of the trees it was safe to do a short celebration dance for the 500th find, so maybe it was fortunate I thought this was 500! Loved the drive up to the cache and my two wheel drive station wagon handled it no problems. TFTC!
1630hrs Easy find didn't have time unfortunately to head up to the top of Puketapu Hill - next time trough. The Italian Job was here......! Our blog www.motorhominginxs.blogspot.com
Was going to do this one - But the campervan got quite a way up and decided it didn't like it!
Found 17/1/10.The road was easy in 4wd but the shortcut we accidentally took onto the grsvel road a little more taxing.Should have had gps on "on road" setting.Nice pine forest.TFTC
Took the gamble as well, lost a bit of traction in the gravelly bit otherwise no trouble for the Echo. Tftc - 11th and last for the day. Not to bad an effort for just over four hrs including driving time from Dunedin, considering this didn't include any right on SH1 other than supreme sacrifice.
Took a gamble and managed to drive up OK without adding any more geocaching scars to the van.

We drove up to the cache. The poor little car on our new Nuvi was fishtailing all over the place trying to find a road. A quick easy find. TFTC
A great view from the parking spot and a quick walk up the hill to an area I was not even aware of!
Thanks

Nimrod can't have been far behind me. He hadn't found it when I picked it up this morning but had logged it before I got home five hours later. I saw his name on one of the other new ones up this way that I found this morning. We must have been chasing one another around East Otago.
FTF Approched this one the easy way on wheels. Cache soon in hand and another FTF logged for the day. TFTC
