A nice and discreet hide here, disguised from the everyday passer by. The container appears to have moved away from the hint again, so put it back to where I think it was intended to live.
Nice strolling around this park with hubby. 80degrees, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area.
Quick find on this public holiday. Ive crossed this bridge tonnes of times before I started checking, so this has been on the list since I moved back to the area. TFTC
I needed a cache that was placed on 9 December to complete a "date hidden" challenge that I've been working on for over a year. Surprisingly there are not many caches published on this date in Melbourne! I've DNF'd on two other caches published on this date so I was immensely thankful for a quick find here. The location didn't quite match the hint so I put it back where I think it's supposed to be. Thanks!
Out caching in the area today and this was one I found. Great container and blends in well with its surroundings nice work TFTC
Nice little find just before midnight with Kaos_K. Forget the possums, keep an eye out for the quad bike on the trails!
This took far too much time for something that shouldn’t be difficult. I hang out with trolls too much! David
Day 114 of our streak which is now longer than our longest slump! Getting close to the Wheel Of Challenges 28 day streak as well. Mark had just had a MRI on his knee which was injured playing tennis back in March, can't rush these things....
Stopped here for a little hydration break while doing the dirty Merri Creek trails. Eventually spotted something out of place and soon after had my name in the log. Didn't cross any possums here today. Just a lot of dogs.
Discussed geocaching with our son over a lovely lunch and discovered that there’s one only 500m from his house.
So of course we had to go for a stroll and help him find it!
A lovely park area that is popular with muggle walkers, so stealth needed today as it’s a beautiful sunny day.
Thank you!

A nice find in the suburbs today, cache is all good
This weekend was mega weekend and we headed over with Freddo, team Waldron, e.gregory1 and Davidwazza as part of our team called: ‘Aussies on Tour’, the log books were either signed with the name, AOT or our individual caching names.
A great weekend away and a very well organised mega despite the horrible weather thrown at us we still managed to find quite a few caches
Thanks for the cache

Another cache found on our mega tour. Thanks for the fun.
November 2022. Time for the second Victorian Mega of the year. This time in Whittlesea. What is it with W's? Time for another epic road trip. Who will join our merry crew? We traveled from South Australia and camped in the pig pen. It rained. It blew. It was sunny. It was not sunny. All four seasons. Beautiful location and some awesome caches.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Found while in the area to attend the Mega Event at Whittlesea.
Today I joined up with Team Waldron, Freddo, gridge98 and Davidwazza as we made our way to Whittlesea and targeted caches of interest. All caches were signed or stamped 'A.O.T.'

This weekend, it was a flight and trip down to Melbourne to attend The Whittlesea 2022 Mega Event. I arrived on Thursday evening and had accommodation in Mill Park, which was a good strategic location between Whittlesea and Melbourne. I joined a few South Aussie friends as part of the “Aussies on Tour” (AOT) team, which consisted of e.gregory1, Freddo, gridge98, and Team Waldron.
Several geocaching series were completed, which included the Commonwealth Star Series (CSS), Whittlesea Puzzles for Beginners, Whittlesea Event Gadget Trail (WEGT), Whittlesea Challenge Wander (WCW), and the Whittlesea Compass (TWC). In addition, we targeted uncommon cache types, rare/unique D-T combinations, older caches and those with high Favourite Points. It was great to have visited Victoria's two 2000 hidden geocaches too (Victoria's 1st (Melbourne's 1st) and Devil Bend).
We were treated with great weather for the first couple of days, but then it deteriorated from Saturday afternoon with rain storms and high winds overnight and on Sunday.
Driving my way to my accommodation this evening, I took a stop here, and the cache turned out to be a quick find with thanks to the hint. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and it was good to see the container nicely camouflaged. My first find in Victoria this trip! Thanks 80degrees for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Wow this cache hasn’t been found in a long while!
Quick and easy grab before dinner.
No possums tho

This was a nice surprise spot in the middle of suburbia. A nicely constructed container that blends in well. Thanks 80Degrees
Found this while out walking with my sister's doggo. It's a cool location that I hadn't been to before. I love when geocaching gets me to walk further than usual haha!
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Easy walk, which was helpful as recovering from knee injury. Straightforward find. TFTC.
This was my 3rd or fourth attempt looking here whilst enjoying a walk with the geodog. I was about to return again defeated when as previously stated in other logs I turned and looked from a different angle and spotted the really clever camo. Thank you for the challenge, I came home a happy cacher today.
Now we are allowed to go out for any reason Geocaching is now allowed so enabling our caches
Due to the covid lockdown in Melbourne we are disabling all affected caches. If anyone logs a find during this period logs will be deleted

Searched for this one for ages. Sat down and read some logs. Then another look. Eventually I spotted something not quite right. There it is! Great camo!
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, 80degrees

With restrictions lifted enough to now allow geocaching am enabling all our caches
Disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis. We are being asked to stay at home. Geocaching is a game and we are dealing with a serious health issue so please stay at home.
We are being responsible and disabling all our caches until this crisis passes.

I followed the same routine as some other finders - looked high, looked low, and then found that just right angle. The hide blends in well. Thanks 80degrees
As I was on a roll I decided to try this one as well. But the hint seemed to take me to a dead end. I checked other locations but still nothing. So another call to the CO for some help. After some hints I decided to have a look from a different angle and sure enough it had moved from its intended location. "Cache creep" I think they called it. Log signed and cache returned to proper spot. Thanks again 80degrees for the hide and your help.
On the way home from work I thought I would look for this cache - instead of coming back at night after tea. Well I looked high and low and on my second take of looking - something caught my eye! What a well camouflaged cache. So pleased I found it in daylight. TFTC 80degrees
I looked for ages last time I was here, with no luck. Today I came prepared for a long hunt, determined to find. It took me all of a minute to find it! Sometimes cache blindness takes over and you just need to step away and come back another day! Tftc
I am sure there are many possums hiding here but I was after the other hidden object, which was found quite quickly. Great spot and a lovely walk.
As with these hides you never know ...above or below, which is it? Fortunately I chose the right spot. Then went and sat a bit of a rest, it's been a hot day. TFTC
Good camo

Found it after much looking in the wrong spot and with a little outside help. It was getting dark which made the find a little easier with a light.

This cache took a bit longer than expected.
Eventually found it in a spot where I'd looked before.
Typically case of geocache blindness.

The sixth find of the day. I saw a challenge cache come out in Canberra that I was so close to qualifying for. I had 99 out of the 110 required counties for the challenge. So of course I had to throw in a couple of caches around the highway that would net me a county or two. In the end, it turned out well as we avoided the peak hour traffic coming into Melbourne! This one was a nice quick find. Log signed and cache replaced. TFTC 80degrees!
It is a long weekend and a sunny day...what better excuses do I need to get the bike out and grab a few caches.
I have been eyeing up the M80 trail for a while and today was a perfect opportunity.
I decided to take a slight detour down the Darebin Creek trail to grab a few nearby caches.
This was a quick find. TFTC.

It's always good to turn that frown upside down. Last time I was here it was dark and there where muggles at GZ, so I DNF'd. Today I brought another team member with me on this hot 40degrees day. Quite fitting for an 80degrees cache. Lucky for us after 5 mins the cache was in hand. Blends in quite well. Great camo.
Thanks **80degrees**

YES YES YES Oh how silly I feel now that I’ve found it. Standing back and looking worked best for me, kicking myself I didn’t see it the last three times I’ve been here. Finally a smilies
Thanks for the hide
Thanks for the hide
I must be missing something (obviously). Today was take 2 for this one and had GeoKid with me for extra eyes. No luck. Might have to contact CO
Out with Trailstevo tonight on our Sunday night escape! Have been staring at this line of cache for too long so tonight they will smile. Had a great stroll about, covered around 12km and found a real mixture of hides. Thanks to all the CO's for their efforts, we had a pleasant evening out, and the dog thoroughly enjoyed it to. Tftc
A 10km night hike allowed Gunks and I to pick up about 13 caches. Some harder than others. This one took some time and it was not what we thought we were looking for, but got there in the end. Tftc
Knew what I had to do but had trouble telling my left from right again.GIGC TNLN TFTC
The geotreadlies were packed, the GPSr charged, and a plan afoot. Posums, myself and my geosidekick in the car. Our mission: The M80 series, and a few other caches along the path between Lalor and Greensborough. We signed as chof_poss.
The only possums crossing this one today was Posums, who was reminding the geosidekick and I of the hint as we searched. We found this cache hiding in plain sight, very sneaky. TFTC 80 degrees.

I got talked into doing the M80 Ring Road series on my geotreadlie by chof_hoe and morty
We took a detour off the M80 trail to pick up the three caches in this area
We stopped at GZ and had a look around for the cache
Not to many muggles around at the moment so had plenty of time
I read the hint for this cache and was about to explain it to chof_hoe but I heard the familiar "found it" from him
A clever hide and great camo
Thanks 80degrees TFTC

Thanks 80degrees for this cache. It was a great container - we liked it a lot! We haven't been to this particular spot on the Darebin Creek before and it's quite a nice bridge. We also have a cache on the Darebin Creek , a bit closer to town..so eventually we will have to do all the caches along the creek! We have ticked another one off - and a very good one at that.
It was good meeting you the other week at that FTF chase. Today we were out for a short drive to do a few caches - we are approaching our 900 finds milestone, which we plan to get tomorrow at Mt Dissa CITO event.
til nextime, Plowfive out.

TFTC! Nice hide, lots of muggles around this morning though, two showed up Juste as we were signing the log so had to wait to put it back.
By reading past posts I feel I was probably staring at this one !!! Still this log doesn't have my signature on it. I will be back.
Thanks a lot 80degrees, I was scrambling around again after one of yours and there it was, a terrific container again from you, well thought out. I was able to leave a little coin.

Last one for the day in the area. Started in the wrong location then moved to the correct location for this hide in plain site. Tftc
Arrived at 10pm and had the place to myself. Spent a couple of minutes on top of the bridge and thought I'd go and have a look underneath. Spent 5min, said hello to a few big black spiders and then a couple of muggles arrive and decide to stop near GZ on the bridge. So the search ended. Will return another day.
Wacko, so excited we found it. Thanks for the clue, we forgot a pen!! Bit thanks for the pencil.
Nice little hide. Introduced a passing muggle to the game. He thought the idea was quite neat. TFTC
Checked on this one tonight only to find someone had thought they would place it in a different spot. Replaced log as almost full and placed cache in its rightful position.
Finally getting back to logging finds from earlier, and this was one of those which was not too easy to locate, but clue did help, and when signed replaced where found, Thanks for these hides 80degrees they are testing
Out with Cathlud for a morning of caching. We had wanted to do Norris Rocks #2 but the rain was pouring down. As Cath had a previous DNF in the rain on that particular cache, she had no wish to repeat the experience. Whilst waiting for the rain to clear we headed to this cache as it was one that wouldn't require too much exposure to the elements.
The hint helped with this one once we figured out what we were to be counting. Once that was done it was an easy find.
Thanks for the cache.

Out for a few hours caching with my buddy, jeckleberryandtedd.
I had been unable to find this cache on my three previous visits so I was very happy when our joint search efforts allowed me to sign the log today. We were not sure of whether the hint helped us or not. We counted lots of items. Thanks 80degrees for this interesting cache.

Suscoe's 13th find of the day.
It was a very wet day to wander about this area.
Heavy rain at times and then late in the day some sunshine.
Arrived near GZ and set about the various options here.
After sorting through the first thought, the second idea was investigated and after some looking, looking, looking the cache was spotted.
Thanks to 80degrees for placing this cache, a tricky hide indeed.

Out on my usual Sunday ride with Grawil and 16 muggles. My first attempt at this one despite having ridden past it about 100 times in the last 2 years. Took me about 5 minutes to find. Good cammo. Thanks 80degrees.
I set off this morning with high hopes of earning three smileys from caches owned by 80degrees. I know how difficult they are and after a 30 minute search at each of three caches I came away with two DNFs and one "found but could not retrieve". I will return to try again in the future. Thank you for the effort you put into these challenging caches.
This is my second visit to this cache and I still can't locate it. Perhaps I will bring an extra pair of eyes next time.

A nicely made cache that had me thinking for a sec after I missed it on my first checking of its location. On a second search though it was found. TFTC.
Found this one after working nearby. It was a quick find after avoiding some nearby muggles and the cache was found and the log signed. This cache will almost finish off a New Zealand challenge cache I am doing where you need to find caches a distance apart.
Thanks for the cache 80degrees.
Thanks for the cache 80degrees.
On the way to RMIT Bundoora for an evening sporting event, this looked like a good cache to pick up on the way. Really like the choice of material, and how the cache blends into its surrounds - well done. TFTC!
After failing to find this in my early caching days a few years ago, tonight was redemption.
Due mostly to Belles persistent efforts and lowering her altitude, we found this nicely secreted hide.
I left a pencil within the space, easily.
Thanks again 80D
