Back in Devonport for a few weeks, looking after grandchildren. A great opportunity to go on adventure each day.Another fun hide, found while out on a drive today. Thanks 2y'stassies for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Little miss 4 year old found this while out having an adventure with Nan. Signed as Chrisant2017 but now had name change.Found while out for a drive. Thanks for the cache.
Caching around Tasmania. TFTC.
An excellent walk and lovely waterfall. Lots of pink tape to guide you now.

Found during a break from driving up to Leven Canyon. Lovely falls and not as slippery as I expected but it is quite steep. TFTC
Out exploring the area around here while visiting Tasmania on holidays.
This was an enjoyable short walk.
The waterfall was flowing nicely today with plenty of water, it was a really cool spot!.
We're so glad Geocaching bought us here.
Took a little while to find the cache as the GPS was having trouble with all the tree cover. It was a good hint which helped us pinpoint the spot.

Out for a walk with friends, hadn't even checked for geocaches in the area.
Fetaisbeta spotted the cache as it wasn't hidden at all.
Wrote in the log then rehid.

After realising I had only one more day in Tassie before having to catch the ferry back to the mainland, I had to start focussing my caching to T3 caches as I don't have many left back near home to find.
I had a quick and early breakfast before leaving camp at Hamilton I made my way North.
I had been in the area last week but I didn't want to take the detour, but now with only a scattering of T3 caches to find I found my way back to make the find. I believe this would have looked even better if there was some good rain recently. Still took some photos while there.
Thanks for the cache.

From the description we were expecting to be hacking our way through the wilds but the track was fine.
After the quick find, we were going to walk the circuit but ended up going on to secret falls, then back again. We only back tracked as the walk in along the creek was so stunning with the mossy logs and tree ferns that we wanted to see it all again.

A beautiful spot, especially after the amount of rain we've just had. Lots of muggles around today so we had to leave the nearby GCA for another day. TFTC!

The day was a Waterfall adventure day, having just returned from "Secluded Falls" again after 8 years. Our party, including potential new cacher "WVE" were returning from Silver Falls when an unusual situation was noted! "Wait, I think I've found a cache", was the call, and an unintentional find was in hand !
The cache was in excellent condition.

This was the second find of the day and the hint was a good one.
A nice spot to sit and reflect. Albeit a little cooler today.

After visiting Kaydale Gardens, Altaire and I went for a pleasant walk to silver Falls, what a beautiful spot this is. Cache found easily. All in good order.
Have walked this circuit in the past but not looked for the caches here. Doing the touristy thing with Tronador which also included the odd cache. Nice place for a walk.
Christmas caching ! ..................... for something completely different; or is it ? Maybe lots of the fraternity are out there doing it ! Started the walk in perfect conditions at 9am this morning, and soon made it to GZ armed with all sorts of info. knowing that connectivity might be pretty dodgey. Anyway, walked past the hide indicating it to Mrs rhubarbroad as we went on to view the Silver Falls. Took a few pics then down to business. Removed the camouflage an discovered the container with all contents in good nick and dry. Ringtail possum and two young'uns were keeping watch on things from above (see pic) TFTC 2y'stassies for maintaining this cache and keeping it in play.
Gorgeous spot beautiful waterfalls
Today gridge98 and I headed to the North west to have a look around leven canyon and collect a few other caches along the way. A great day out, this cache was found along the way.
Apologies for the late and generic log.

This is a pretty amazing spot and with the amount of rainfall lately the waterfall had a lot of water coming down it, the track isn’t in to flash of a condition but we got down there. Thanks to the hint the cache was easily located and is all good
Today nettieknows and I headed to the NW to do the Leven Canyon walk and also collect some other caches in the area that I was yet to find. All out 19 caches were found.

Today while DEZ055 and i were completing the castra fall circuit we stopped to look for this one, it was super easy find as the team that had found the cache before us today hadnt put the rock back on properly so the container was sitting in the open, after we signed the log we made sure that it was well hidden so it would last. Great walk down to this cache - Thank you Carrolleyre for placing this cache here
A fantastic day was had today. After a hectic week at Agfest, we decided to get outside and enjoy the sunshine. We weren't overly sure what to expect on the track. Nevertheless we were committed. From the start the track was a little slippery, other than that the track was what I expected. Further walking to this cache the scenery is amazing. Cache was found, signed and returned. TFTC
Driving past here on the way to another cache we noticed this one on the map. Came in to find it on the way home and what a great find. Without the cache we wouldn’t have found the falls as they aren’t signposted from the road. Thanks for bringing us here.
My family owned a dairy farm at Upper Castra when I was growing up. So with the lure of a cache and waterfalls nearby it was time to revisit fading memories.
We climbed down to Silver Falls 1st and took some photos, then on to find the cache. More photos at the bottom then off to do the circuit. Very beautiful and 3 more Falls to photograph. TFTC 2y'stassies

We checked on this cache whilst completing the Castra Circuit Walk. The cache is in place and is in very good condition. GPS reception is not ideal under the dense tree cover We have updated the coordinates a little and the hint to make the cache easier to locate.
Found this Cache on our tour around Tassie. Hidden nature treasure. Thank you for showing this place.

GPS was not playing the game so I gave up and enjoyed the views. Looks good with the good bit of water falling.
The first find after 10 months? This cache deserves certainly more visitors! Just made the 20 minutes return from the parking lot (entrance road is few 100 m from the North), wish we would had more time to do the full 4h circuit walk. Left my travel bug there, which we took from Switzerland.
Given the comments in a recent log, we went to check on this cache today. We replaced the container and contents so that all is fresh again. Thanks fluffster-gp for alerting us to the issues.
Wow, this hasn't been found for two years! A bit wet and fetid. Fungus growing on the cache contents! These falls will be amazing in winter with some more water, so we might come back and bring a log book. Tftc 2y'stassie!

Thanks for showing us these very pretty falls. The coordinates were a bit off, but keep following the trail, which is now marked with pink ribbon, down to the Silver Falls sign by the creek and continue on a few more metres. The trail has mostly been cleared but still has a few fallen trees and is slippery in places, so take care. TFTC.
(etrexer)Wet and slippery today.Been along time since i have walked into these falls.A nice lot of water coming over falls today making it a spectacular sight. The walk down the hill needs to be taken with care on a wet day, I found out the hard way but a quick way. Also donated some blood to the local leeches 3 on the legs and 1 on the neck ,Think they only took the bad stuff though. Had a great time today i think this is the best time to be in the bush when its wet the smells are teriffic. Thanks for bringing me back here CarrollEyre
We had a little adventure and got this one with no problems. My sister is visiting from Adelaide and she was a bit daunted by the slippery path but it was fun and we enjoyed the view of the waterfall. Thanks CarrollEyre
The track in is a nice walk but needs maintenance. cache easy to find, falls very nice. cheers
Another beautiful location thanks CE.
We preferred the upper falls to the lower ones but both were beautiful. It is unusual to be able to get to the base of falls like that without getting wet but the way the rocks divert all the running water away to the left of the base makes it a lovely dry spot to sit and enjoy something to eat.
Cache was an easy find even before we had taken the gps out.

Just happened to be in the area with a bit of time to spare, so a short stroll to the falls, which were excellent and a quick cache find were in order. TFTC
Our favourite cache of the day we love waterfalls and this one is worth the effort to see. The track was wet and slippery but we managed to stay upright. The lush ferns and mossy trees were a lovely addition to the walk. A real geocaching experience that we will be adding to our favourites list. Thanks for bringing us here CarrollEyre and TFTC
Took a while to find this, but got it in the end. Pity the tracks aren't kept in the condition they used to be.
Found at 12:58 with my mate Daniel on a Tassie camping trip. Well this is certainly what geocaching should be about. These hidden little gems involving quite a bit of an adventure to access. It certainly does seem much further than 180m when you have such a steep descent and not much of a track. Having had quite a bit of rain the day before, the falls were indeed magnificent and the path slippery as well (I did slip over once on the way in). Once we got down to the correct elevation the cache was easily located, though we were somewhat alluded before that. The green and lush gully was almost worth seeing on its own, the only thing to be weary of was a few leeches (that didn't manage to find their way to our skin anyway). It seemed like we'd found both a real geocache and the real Tasmania in one. Yet this place is so easily missed. Thanks for bringing us here.
Lovely little walk down to the falls. Plenty of water today. Thanks for another "hidden/lost" spot and a great cache.
Cheers!
Cheers!
Sadly the track to the falls is a bit run down but as ever the falls are speccy, especially following the recent heavy rains. An easy find using the good clue.. TNLN thanks
We had been to this area some 20 years ago when the carpark was a clean area with seats and brick BBQ's. Look at it now, what a shame. The falls are still the same, still beautiful. The track is a gem, hard enough to keep you on your toes or bums if not carefull. The area at the base of the track is worth the thigh burn on the walk out.
Thanks for bringing us back here.
Thanks for bringing us back here.
Although parts of the track were quite step and some deviations required because of fallen trees, it was a pleasant autumn afternoons short walk into these falls. We could only gain glimpses of parts of the falls because numerous fallen logs prevented easy access to the base of the falls and we didn't have the necessary gear to safely get closer. However, the cache was easily accessible and was a quick find. Thanks for bringing us to this lovely area - we had no idea about the number of falls in the area. TFTC

My original co-ordinates were too far to the North East, probably because I had to return to the small clearing in the North East to pick up satellites. I have to buy a better GPSr........

Hidden and unknown gems like this in the bush are what geocaching is all about... Track was indeed fairly obscure at the start. Left a couple bits of pink tape for those who are prone to getting lost. Knew exactly who had been here before us before we even set eyes on the cache, because Sirius Jnr left us a PRESENT. As though hogging all the FTFs isn't degrading enough, now he makes people clean dog poo off their boots!!! *scowl*
As you said, coords not very good, so took a bit of hunting to find the cache, though it is obvious once you approach it from the right direction. Very nice falls, thank you!
Edited log to add updated coords with 7m accuracy.

Surveyed all these tracks some 30 years ago...chain & compass back then....so a real treat to find another cache at one of the falls. The tracks have held up really well with just a small amount of fallen debris...a real shame that the whole area hasn't been maintained like it should.....was a neat little picnic area once. Found cache easily enough on way out after sirius(4paws) had his photo shoot again....I think he's getting used to it after all his Trig appearances..lol. Many thanks for another top cache & all the memories CarrollEyre ...Cheers. I think I can hear Wolfgang Saddle calling...yep...definitely.
