Returned and found it. Cunning hide.Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumalated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Fryer's day the eighteenth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit windy today. It was so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. Came back after Pafing on this one today, thats some serious damage material if it went off. The cache was found tucked away and is all good Travelling around Victoria with Freddo for a week finding caches as we go. With two challenges on our radar we were in full force. All logs signed with our names or F+g98 for the smaller caches. Thanks for the cache
We began a little search for this one in the morning, This is the first multi that we have done where we would search for a clue as such at the first waypoint, without looking for what would equal ABC for example to get the coordinates. so we were a little thrown to begin with, we did a little search at the first waypoint, went for a walk (came across some bees hard at work!) and did some googling and came up with one idea, but we did have to take a bit of a break to tend to some business. Then later in the afternoon got back into it, we did PAF (ty team suscoe) and they did confirm that the suggestion we came up with from Google was in the right direction. We headed to the spot, did a bit of a search and soon had the cache in hand, signed and put back in place. TFTC
New easier clue in place at initial waypoint. If people were electing to not search for the clue thats not my issue. Happy hunting everyone
----------### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUESTED PLEASE** ###----------Hi there Jimmymaff,It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is some sort of issue. We couldnt find anything at GZ and it shouldnt be up to us to have to Google possibilities. Time to be checked as everyone reporting the initial stage is missing.
As I was planning my journey to Canberra, for the GeoBash Mega, I picked a few caches to grab along the way, and this one looked interesting. Reading some of the previous logs, it became apparent that there was a difficulty gathering the information at the posted coords, so I talked to my friend Mr Google, and came up with a likely location for GZ.Upon arrival, I managed to locate it quite quickly. Thanks for the fun, Jimmymaf.
After staying at Blores Hill campground near Heyfield overnight, we spent the day travelling through Bairnsdale and Lakes Entrance and across to Tostaree Cottage farmstay just east of Nowa Nowa, sightseeing and finding a few caches along the way. Thanks for the cache Jimmymaff!
Didn't find. No info on the rotunda, however, being somewhat local made our way to likely CZ...still unable to find
Back on the mainland, after nearly 3 months in Tassie. So nice to have avoided all the excessively hot weather.Couldn't find what was needed yesterday but last night had another look at logs and soon came up with an idea. Was happy to pull up this morning with out any muggles about to what was an option. Lucky to put hand on it, the second place I tried. Thanks Jimmymaff for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Couldn't find anything on the rotunda, googled the likely location, once there a quick find was hadTFTC
We couldn't find the info on the rotunda, even though we went round and round. It wasn't til we were in Merimbula that we realised what the title was referring to! So we'll put it on the 'to do' list next time we visit Maffra. Thanks anyway Jimmymaff.
A trip to check out all the awesome places in eastern Victoria. TFTC.
I couldn't find a clue at the start coords so took a wild shot from the title and googled where they may put such a thing in a small town. About 600m away. Nice. It worked. Crazy.

Over obligatory coffee, the TKB's made plans to go searching around Maffra on the first day of daylight savings. We were blessed with stunning weather!
Quickly figured it was 'groan' one of those structures.
But all was good and cache quickly signed
TFTC Jimmymaff - for placing and maintaining your caches and taking me to spots where I can escape from it all and enjoy a walk and a bit of a brain work out.

Out caching withbKbucky and Kashbound on a glorious day. With 3 sets of eyes and six hands searching the cache at GZ was soon located and signed..
Suscoe decided to head out to the Maffra area today.
Another delightful late Autumn day with some sunshine, but a cool breeze to keep us company.
What beautiful countryside and we enjoyed our travels.
Thanks to Jimmymuff for this cache. Took a punt and we were right.

Find # 10767
Found while travelling with sharkiefan, on an extended long weekend.
Today we headed south to Loch Sport, back along the Shoreline Drive, adjacent to 90mile beach. Had a quick visit to Seaspray then back to Sale for the Arvo. After dinner we headed out multi hunting, and got a couple of trads too . This put us up in Maffra and we finally got back to the Motel just after midnight.
At 11ish at night we had very little muggles around so we decided to have a look here. Sadly came up empty handed at posted coords. But after reading previous logs sharkiefan had an idea. Then we were off..... yep after some time searching sharkiefans idea was spot on we found n signed the cache... now time to head back to the motel in Sale before tomorrow comes.

Found with FUF009 at 11.30pm.
Like almost all other recent loggers, we used a previous log to give us a hint, googled it and then searched for a local example. Then it was the the groan and moan stage as neither of us like these and have found caches in so many various places. We checked them all and then found it in a place we had checked already. Glad it was night time and we wouldn't have been able to get near here on Monday. Tftc

Headed out for a morning caching trip aiming for Maffra. Thanks to a PAF arrived at the GZ to find a familiar and dreaded object - struggle with these but thankfully after a short search I had the cache in hand. Decided that a bakery break was in order before continuing on

Today I headed off on a two day trip wayout East as I was needing two more maps for the UBD map challenge but along the way I stopped of at a few other caches of interest.
I was now passing through Maffra but there were a couple of caches I wanted to find here before continuing on my way.
I stopped for this one on headed to the posted coordinates, l took a seat inside and thought to myself with all the muggles in the area how I’m I going search for something here without looking silly, then I thought about the name and where they normally have these and it just so happens that one of these places is within 600 metres so that’s where I headed too next.
Sure enough there was one there and after a stroll around it looking in a few different spots, the cache was soon found.
**Thanks to Jimmymaff for placing this cache.**

Day 5 of the Bring In The New Year (BITNY) road-trip and a big day it is with my 6000th cache milestone, coinciding with the completion of the mammoth Victorian Premiers Challenge. Some LGA caching is thrown in also as we head back towards Melbourne.
We were struggling at the posted coords but past logs got us thinking and we were soon searching a familiar object. OzHockeyChick made the find soon after thankfully!
Thanks Jimmymaff for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

The work year has finished, so it’s time to head off on another road trip - to explore ‘The Pointy End’.
DAY FIVE: Traralgon, Morwell, Heyfield.
Arrived at the posted coordinates and had a look around with no luck.
A bit of googling research and we took a punt as to where we needed to be. Upon arrival at gz, we were pretty confident that we were at the right spot. Searched in all the likely locations, until I managed to find the sneaky blighter.

Well! What a saga. This is not the first time we had attempted this one. Many times in the past we had been stumped at WP1. This time, we spent some time reading old logs, and an "aha" moment hit us. We then knew exactly where to go and after a little search, the little cache was found. It was really good to finally get a smiley for this one. TFTC Jimmymaff.

We have had our daughter, her husband and their two kids staying with us during the COVID lockdown so that we could look after the kids whilst they were in lockdown. They have just left as school goes back in Melbourne, so we are taking advantage of our new freedom and set out to find a few geo caches. Our stats for 2020 are looking pretty woeful, and very different from what we had planned! At least the weather gods are on our side today. These been extensive wind and rain over the past few days and there are minor flood warnings out for a few of the local rivers. Today is bright and sunny, and we’ve worn our waterproof shoes! Caching today with Rebel Acts-it’s so nice that we can share outside activities like this since the easing of COVID restriction in regional Victoria.
We are also collecting the Seven Wonders of the World icons, and having completed the first seven we are now well on the way to completing the Ancient Wonders.
We collected the answers, finished working out the coords and then faced one of our Caching dislikes. With a groan we started looking, and far quicker than we had thought had located the cache and were able to sign the log. We wish they were all this straightforward!

The weather was looking good , with restrictions lifted in regional Vic We could now do outdoor activities with others so I teamed up with My local caching Friends Ski Pair to head out to East Gippsland and do some caches, armed with My mask and Sanitizer, We had a great day exploring the region, this is one of the caches We found today. With the numbers crunched we were soon at GZ, this was way quicker than some searches I have done on these objects.

Time to go home today after our weekend away. We had thought there was going to be a Farmers Market in Stratford this morning but we couldn't find it so after doing the Art Trail cache there we headed home to Melbourne via Maffra - this cache was next on our list. We looked for the info at the listed co-ords but weren't having any luck, so started reading previous logs. This gave us enough info to know where to look for the actual GZ so headed there and the cache was quickly found without any bumped heads lol

With The Welder on a day out caching in the area. A stopoff here in Maffra for some lunch and maybe a couple of caches. Multi's are always on the radar, so this was first.
Could not find what was needed at the start coords, but with the help of some previous logs and the name of the cache, we did manage to work out where the cache was hidden. [xx(] Not my favourite place for a cache hide, I managed to smack my head twice!! [B)][B)]. I had all but given up, thinking we were not in the right location when The Welder came up with the Prize.

It's been too long between road trips with ahomburg. And no geocaching roadtrip is complete without some meandering and detours.
So here we were in Maffra... and a Jimmymaff multi was too tempting a distraction to resist. We couldn't find much at WP0, but a past log got us going in the right direction.
We arrived at GZ and immediately groaned.
Hmmmm...
We had actually just been talking about how we both struggle with this sort of hide!
After about 15 minutes, and some bumps and bruises, the little blighter was found in a place fairly typical for the setting.
What can I say?
It was more like 25 'grams' of hell, lol!!
Thanks heaps, Jimmymaff.

Figured out the clue and drove to the location but after 15 minutes of searching we couldn't find it. Maybe next time
Well, we've been to the rotunda a few times now and finally sorted the multi here. After a decent sleep in for the New Year, we drove to GZ and made the find. Log was signed and a Souvenir guaranteed on this cache.

Tried this cache on a beautiful weekend a month ago and could not solve it. Brought the hung over geobae for assistance and ended up at the magnificent motor museum in our long search. It wasn't the right spot but I recommend you visit anyway. Once I spent considerable time on google and picking my brain I worked it out. As there is a huge gap in findings for this one, here are some clues to those struggling:
- Google "25 pounder"
- Think who would have one of these where you could expect to find one of these now.
- Google the location of that place (within 600m)
- Cache sticks to metal.
- GL and TFTC!

So much scavenging through metal in one day.
Wasn't hard to find given the title. A quick google had the address and the item was a no brainer.
Finding the actual cache on the other hand
Got there eventually

What an ordeal. I'd been by the rotunda quite a while ago on a day working in Maffra but it was too occupied for any info-gathering. Today was a different story and Kato Potato and I quickly found what was required from that location. Now what to do with it?? A little googling as we're unfamiliar with much of Maffra and we had some idea of what we might be looking for.....so we hopped in the car (I know, 600m isn't much if you're not both massively pregnant waddlers) and cruised around. We're glad we cruised because we lapped the street before deciding to give something a look. We weren't sure about it but I'd spent an awful lot of time in Cowes searching one and was shuddering at the thought of repeating that process. Yup, we did and it took a good 15 minutes before I somehow turned up the cache. Lucky because we were having a bit of a tantrum about it and I still don't think we're happy; these things are just horrible to search. TFTC Jimmymaff.
Out on a toddler-free caching afternoon with kyabbott and taking on the Maffra area while we had the opportunity. This one had us slightly confused with a couple of different options apparent to us. Armed with some addresses from google we went for drive. The first destination didn't look likely but on the way there kyabbott happened to spot a highly likely hiding spot that could be associated with the cache title so we gamely stopped here. Apart from a slight interruption from a neighbour who, somewhat cheekily, seemed to be using the grounds as their own parking bay, we searched the likely spot very very thoroughly. With mounting frustration at the possibilities I resorted to checking previous logs when suddenly... kyabbott had it in hand!! Brilliant! Very challenging find. Thanks for the cache Jimmymaff!
Once I worked out the location I still had trouble finding it, took a few attempts but but was there in the end!!
Was tricky this one with no co ordinaries ! This my to google WE FOUND IT thanks jimmy loving this
With the title in mind Comback and I went to the endpoint.
After a couple of minutes search, I found it.
Return to the car for a pen and to sign the log.
But before returning it, The neighbors on both sides of the road
decided to bring out there rubbish bins.
After a minute I returned the log to it hiding hole.
Thank you for the hide Jimmymaff

Whilst I was in town I was showing a fellow cacher the geosphere app and clicked on this cache. He let me know what to search for. Was passing by when I saw a sign to GZ so swung past and began searching. Obviously my senses were lacking today as it was on the second time I checked the resting place that I located the cache.
Thanks for the cache Jimmymaff!!!

An after school hunt with "just Cruz'in" had this one in hand after a rather long search. We skipped the rotunda as it was swarming with muggles at this hour and we had some inside information which led us to this spot. Cruz did a swap and we were out of there (it was raining). TFTC Jimmymaff. Love your work!!!
After looking (in vain) in the rotunda a couple of times, was nearly ready to give up on this one but a bit more research on Dr Google and I worked out what we were looking for. Yippee we found it!! I dragged OR Nursie out on the pretense of going to go shopping in Sale at 18:30 at night. On leaving Sale, instead of driving back to Stratford,, I took the road to Maffra inmediately making ORNursie suspicious! After finding "bring a paper' in Sale we continued on to try some Maffra caches. Unable to find jimmymaffs rail trail cache we found ourselves at the rotunda instead. After plotting co ords in from various signs, we remained none the wiser until I remembered from some dark distant history lesson what a 25 pounder could be.
Not seeing one on a quick loop of Maffra, we drove to a friends house to ask him where one was. He seemed to have an idea so we abducted him for our hunt. With 4WD headlights on the GZ and headlamps and phonectorches we hunted high snd low and upset seceral rather large spiders but came up empty handed.
We went off to find Macallister River and called it quits for the night. However our friend who we had dragged out of the comfort of his lounge room and introduced to geocaching had other ideas! He went back later and found his first cache, showing the kind of determination we cachers all have! I returned this morning in the daylight and soon had my hand on the log! Thanks jimmymaff for several hours of fun in Maffra.

multiple unsuccesful attempts to work out what we are supposed to be looking for at the posted coords, found a park of a similar name, looked in, under and on everything there (just in case). Asked the CO for a hint to no avail - giving up on this one.
Decided to check on this one on the way home since we noticed that no one has found it in ages. We had a look at GZ and it's still there, although not where it originally was when we first found it. We also tried to find waypoint one as we never originally found it, but to no avail, we will keep hunting though.
No luck at all on this one despite 3 of us looking. Will have to try again next time we're down this way
Yay - found it today after a big hunt for the co-ords at the Rotunda. BUT - OMG - where do you start to look for the cache at GZ? Eventually put my hands on the container and signed the log. Thanks Jimmy for the adventure and the hunt around Maffra.
Found at last! Found by torch light while waiting for fish & chips by Mrs E.
Thanks for the cache (i think)

No Idea with this one.... except what I found on Google but after driving a 600m ring around Maffra still no luck with that. Even the big bell still gave us no luck.
I thought this cache was more a mystery than a Multi.... But it is becoming the one I just gotta find..... and I will one day....
Thanks for the hunt and drive around Maffra Jimmymaff....

Finally located this pesky piece of hell @ 1530 today.
I'm sure I must have put my hand on it the last time I was here looking.
SL TNLN (I did not see the Geo Coin in the cache)

[maroon]Was down in the Valley for work today. On my back home I had to call in and check on my Cache "Milcan Time". I decided to have a break at Maffra and have a go at this cache.
I've been meaning to do this cache for a long time, but I always seemed to be too rushed to stop and have a look for it, whilst on my way back and forth from home and the valley.
I found the required infomation at the Rotunda and headed for GZ.
Well as the name states, this was [red]HELL...[/red] [maroon]I looked, I searched, I looked and search some more, but to no avail, I will have to return another time and have another go at this one.
Thanks for the hunt Jimmy

The rotunda was muggle central today, so we bypassed that step and took a punt on the final location. Searched for a little while to no avail. Will have to come back when the street is not so busy!
Found by Mary & David at 0855. After reading some previous logs, we just knew where this one had to be. Once at GZ, David stood up at the wrong moment and banged his head. Bled like a stuck pig for a few minutes, but at least he had found the cache. Our thanks again to Jimmymaff.
Wow, can't say we've ever done a cache like this before. Never-the-less, we figured it out with help from a near-by sign and google

XC on business from NZ... out for a run at dawn.. not having a great deal of luck with local caches...
Heading back to motel after a couple of DNF's.... this one must be easy... sat in the rotunda wondering where I would put it... hmmm not there.. not there.. ... not anywhere.. muggles started to pass by and I started to look a bit suspicious so I gave up.
Not easy without hints.. Kiwi cachers are a bit more generous with a hint for cachers with not a lot of time..
Thanks anyway..

At last we've got this one scratched of our list. Another one of those "guns of never find" bites the dust.
Took the opportunity to catch up with the cache owner too.
Took - the travel bug to move it on Left nothing

We didn't find the coordinates for this one again.
We tried and tried and have been back to the site 3 times. We even did a few Jimmymaff caches around the area to get a feel for how it might be hidden. We thought that Jimmy's magnetic personality might hold a clue. However, we're no closer. Boo Hoo.

T & S & Little DragonFoot & Muggle Shaggs had two goes at looking for the coords. No success. We'll have a think about it and have another go soon.
I was back at my calculated coords this morning and determined I wasn't leaving until I either found the cache or got soaked in the rain trying
Well it almost got to the soaked stage when in desperation I ducked down and looked for one last time at an area I must have overlooked before [:o]
My mood brightened considerably when I saw some new unexplored hidey holes to stick my now muddy and spiderweb encrusted fingers
I finally found this hellish little cache
Sorry, I think I might have got some mud on the almost pristine log page
With the rain still raining down, I made a hasty retreat back to the geomobile, still grinning

Early this morning I was hanging around Maffra and pondering the whereabouts of this cache
My half hearted searching wasn't turning up any coordinates to speak of !!
So I gave up and wandered off in search of more fruitful caching experiences
But in the back of me mind this little puzzle continued it's torment .....
By the time I had found a few other caches and found meself back in the centre of towne, I had a damn good idea of where to look for the missing bits of the puzzle.
I just couldn't find the place that I had to look
A nearby sign helped
Finally there was the unmistakable shape of GZ !!!
Geez they know how to hide their GZ's in this towne !!!
Alas, after all that there were muggle here too [:(!]
Must be the leftovers from the marching band that paraded down the main street earlier
After 10 minutes or so of poking and prodding the spiders, I had to let this one go.....for now
So close, yet so far away.....

Thought it might be quiet enought tonight to have a good look - we were wrong - still a fair few about. We're obviously missing something here....namely the co-ords!!!![:(!][:(!]
That was different...
Well done Jimmymaff on a rather cunning hide mate. Although the clues are a tad cryptic (and a stretch on the brain cells on a Friday arvo! ), it all fits once you get there.
Been a while since we hunted a FTF, so that makes this one all the more sweet. Besides, Elmer's probably got at least half a forests' worth of FTF certificates already!
Thanks again for the hunt!
