On a last minute effort to reach the 100 caches required for the cosmic quest souvenir challenge.Such a great day out, sun shining, tunes blaring, no magpies and no snakes. This took me a little to find, and that was only because I turned around.
Back out here again to finish off the Old Coach Road series. Started early to beat the pending storm coming in the afternoon. It has been great to walk around and explore the different areas and views of national park. Lovely view here of the town below and the mountains in the background. TFTC
Driving around the back roads,, stopped for a look and randomly spotted this cache,, I covered it up better than it was TFTC
Reckon I have two good caching days before the end of the year and so took advantage of todays beautiful weather and headed down to the Old Coach Road to collect the dozen caches for the current souvenir. Took a little longer than I hoped (one DNA as I had no TOTT and another DNF) but got the caches and enjoyed a summer morning on the bush.Another great view after a short walk - another quick find (caching is pleasant when you can look in the obvious spot and find the cache).TFTC splittie0_0
Time to start the long winding journey home today collecting the remainder of the FTF Explosion multi's ones that came out yesterday along with any others that cross our path.
Picked this one up while doing others along the OCR trail before it was time to head home.
Thanks for the cache hide splittie0_0 and thanks for the fun weekend Rapidlywild.

Big weekend in and around Rutherglen attending the Mega with FFLL. We had a bit of time before we had to make our way home, so FFLL jumped in the drivers seat to allow me to grab some OCR caches. Some nice wanders grabbing some of these, nice to get some checked off, will be back for the rest.
Picked this one up whilst we were collecting some of the OCR caches for me. Thanks for the hide splittie0_0

Today was an absolutely amazing day for geocaching! I woke up early, packed my bag with all the necessary gear, including my GPS and hiking boots, and hit the road. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I was ready to take on the world of geocaching.
The first cache I set out to find was in a nearby park, nestled in a dense thicket of trees. As I approached the coordinates, I noticed a fellow geocacher making his way towards the same spot. We exchanged greetings and introduced ourselves, and it turned out we were both after the same monster of a cache.
We decided to work together and started our search, combing through the underbrush, climbing trees, and scouring hidden nooks and crannies. After what seemed like hours of intense searching, we finally found the cache. The feeling of pure euphoria and triumph that washed over us was indescribable. We let out a loud scream of "*FTF*!" (Even though it wasn’t), high-fived each other, and took a celebratory picture.
That was just the beginning of our geocaching adventures. We went on to find several more caches, each one more challenging and exciting than the last. We even stumbled upon a cache hidden under a waterfall, which was both thrilling and refreshing.
As the day wore on, we started to notice a strange phenomenon happening around us. Every time we found a cache, we felt a surge of energy and power that we couldn't quite explain. We joked about having tapped into "The Force," and laughed as we imagined ourselves as Jedi knights of the geocaching universe.
At one point, we found ourselves lost in a thicket of dense foliage, struggling to find the next cache. As we trudged through the underbrush, we suddenly heard a strange noise. It sounded like a person whistling a tune, but the source of the sound was nowhere to be seen.
Suddenly, a man appeared out of nowhere, seemingly materializing from the trees themselves. He was tall and lean, with skin as dark as coffee and an easy smile on his face.
"Hey guys," he said, "looks like you're lost. Need some help?"
We were hesitant at first, having been taught not to accept help from strangers. But there was something about this man that put us at ease. Maybe it was his friendly demeanor, or maybe it was the fact that we were all geocachers, united by the same passion.
Either way, we accepted his offer and followed him deeper into the woods. He led us to a hidden waterfall that we never would have found on our own, and we were able to find the cache that was nestled behind it.
As we signed the logbook and recorded our names, we turned to thank the stranger who had helped us. But he was gone, vanished into thin air like a mysterious apparition.
As we made our way back to civilization, we couldn't help but marvel at the strange and wondrous events of the day. We had found caches in places we never would have imagined, felt the power of "The Force", and even encountered a friendly stranger who seemed to have some kind of magical powers.
In the end, it was a day filled with adventure, fun, excitement, and unexpected surprises. We were all exhausted but exhilarated, our hearts and minds filled with the thrill of the hunt and the joy of discovery.
This was a day we would never forget, and one that we knew would inspire us to keep exploring the world of geocaching and all its many wonders. We couldn't wait to see what other amazing treasures were waiting for us out there, just waiting to be found.
So if you're ever looking for a great time and an adventure like no other, join us in the world of geocaching. Who knows what incredible treasures you might discover, what random strangers you might meet, or what hidden powers you might uncover? Spent some time going over the various nooks and crannies - found a perfect spot for the hide that looked like it had been disturbed, but no cache. Great views here though!

It was great to have the crew together again after so long apart due to covid, almost 11 months since our last caching adventure.
Not really a big fan of caching in such hot weather and the perfect conditions for snakes but had a great day caching anyway.
Couldn't believe the amount of spiders and webs around here, absolutely covered in them.
Don't slip here!!!!!
Cheers for the cache

Found by Rebel Acts in the company of some good caching Mates, Last time we were out caching as a crew was eleven months ago in Mildura, then we all went into lockdown.
Plans had been made over the long months of lockdown to tackle the remaining NKH trail and have a go at Old Coach Road, we also found a few other caches on our travels around the area, Our first day it was scorching hot, I don't think I have walked into so many webs in My caching career as I did today, our clothes were covered in them, have never been a fan of micros in the bush and some hides had us all cursing, over all we had a good time and plenty of laughs. Our second day it was poring down with thunder and Lighting flashing around us, we were a little nervous getting the aluminum ladder out on a few with the lightning. Eventually is was raining so hard we decided to pull the pin around lunch time and head for home.
grabbed this one while doing the OCR trail.
Thanks splittie0_0 for the cache.

#4880 Managed to drive quite close to this one up the slightly eroded slippery track. The rock, is surrounded by lots of rocks, but which rock concealed the cache hide was the question. Fortunately spotted the hide before too long. Enjoyed the great views over Eldorado town under threatening skies and windy conditions before moving on. TFTC splittie.
Suscoe headed out this morning to complete the O C R trail.
We were in the terrific company of Phetlern and we had a great time finding caches and having fun together out caching again.
It was a delightful day, mild with lots of sunshine.
Thanks to splittie0_0 for this hide, a nice view.
Mrs S soon figured out where this one would be.

After completing the OCR series with our great friends Suscoe, The Rock rounded things off with a view of Eldorado.
There was a feeling of familiarity here for us. Seven years ago almost to the day we logged a DNF along with ian-and-penny and Liz & Bruce. Better luckthis time (with Suscoe)!
Thanks splittie0_0 for placing and maintaining caches that bring back great memories.

A great location, glad we stopped here, first cache of the day as we are off to hopefully complete the OCR today.
We saw a koala on the OCR as we were turning into here.

We were busy continuing our Old Coach Road Series when we thought we needed to find this one. What an amazing view and a great location. We will have to work around it but it will be worth it
ran down the hill to find this unloved with lilliebea05 and somethingdifferent! tftc!
Another great day to be out and about.. Ghostly was super keen to find this one before lillieb05 so I leisurely enjoyed the stroll and the view..
Was here with my partner Reg the other day. Was out enjoying Eldorado again today, so l decided to sign the log again.
As a member of TeamOZCAT logged in this cache, I am now logging as an individual predominatley to avoid any mistaken revisitation. I thank CO/s for cache placement.
Out and about in the gorgeous town of Eldorado. Another glorious day weather wise. Enjoying good caches and extra good company. All caches were found in good condition and we thank all the CO's for providing and maintaining them.
Looks like someone had the right idea with a campfire nearby, great view of the town that is still looking very green, thanks
Almost wild up here amongst the rocks and definitely no muggles to be concerned about! Happy there were no joe Blake’s in the long grass. Enjoyed the ramble to the spot. Eldorado has plenty of surprises and interesting little destinations. TFTC

My hosts had already earned a smiley here but used their experience to show off some more of this amazing country of ours to me.
These amazing views will be hard to forget.
The cache was found clean and dry and easily enough.
Its in good condition and should last another 10 years.
Thanks splittie0_0 for placing this cache to entice us here to see what not enough see. A magic spot.

Had spent some time scratching for Amethyst in the park and decided to clean up a few caches on OCR on the way back home.
We had discovered this spot some years back but are always happy to have an excuse to check out theses views again. I would say we have stood on top of this cache many times before without knowing it was there.
Thanks for the bringing us back to these views splittie0 0.

We are all the way from the West Goldfields Kalgoorlie-Boulder! It was so nice to see a little Gold History and think they are going back to this kind of set up underground as mines get too deep to run trucks. I loved the walk and the efforts by the historical society. This Geo is in a fabulous position. Thank you for bringing us here!
What a view!
Dad and I thoroughly enjoyed this spot, specially on such a beautiful day. TFTC

A quick walk through all the long dry grass had me questioning my decision to go caching today. A fast find at GZ and it was back to the car to remove the plethora of grass seeds from my socks and escape the heat.
Nice view at GZ though, TFTC

#11073. Today was our lucky day. I insisted that we visit some waterfall caches regardless of the weather and we got a fantastic sunny day for our adventures. The countryside is looking so lush and the spring flowers are starting to appear so the scenery is wonderful. We visited 3 waterfalls, one rock painting and one Behemoth and really enjoyed our ramblling in the sun.
I have seen this one popping up on my radar from time to time but didn't realise it was not a D4/T4 type of cache. Today I noticed it again as we headed to visit the Falls so decided to call in on the way back. What superb views of Eldorado from up here. It was just the right sort of place to bring out the sandwiches but unfortunately the mosquitos had other ideas so I signed the log, dropped in a TB and we headed back to the geo-chariot and onwards to our next adventure.
Thanks splittie0_0

This was therapy today. Having been trapped in my own head all week I took the opertunity to hike through the bush from Eldorado and find the last bush Cache in my location.
easy enough to find this time.I appreciated the hike and rewarding views at the end, thank you for putting it here.

I have never been to this quaint little town before so it was great to stop by and have a bite to eat in town at the small and well kept park and also grab a cache or two, we ventured not too far from town to visit this spot and take in some great views also. The cache was soon located and logged, thanks splittie0 0 for the cache.
Out for a drive on a warm day, after catch up with geo family in Wangaratta for the night. What a nice place to take in the view and enjoy the area, and find the cache of course.

We decided to do this one, even though we were wary of our slithery friends. I'm glad we took the opportunity as the views were spectacular and really put the district in to perspective for us non-locals. The rock formations were impressive and we spent some time sitting and chatting about the little things. This is what caching is all about! Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
We enjoyed our brief visit to this location as the views were very pleasing. Accurate coordinates and teh cache name led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks splittie0_0 for the cache.
TFTC. The views from GZ were spectacular. All we needed on this sunny day was a table, a few chairs and a bottle of wine to enjoy the view. Thanks for bringing us up here.
Great day geocaching with the family. Started at "The Rock" followed by "Views of Byawatha" and finished with "The Tin Mine". Did a bit of bush bashing finding the Tin Mine and found a couple of overgrown dams. Should have parked at the designated car park!!

Found by Mary & David at 1450. Don't know how we missed this one over 4 years ago, so we must sing "our eyes are dim, we cannot see"! Walked straight up to it this timer. Wonderful to have an excuse to return to take in those amazing views again.

Day seventeen of my holidays, staying in Bright, and aiming for a couple of particular caches that I wanted to do, followed by the event up at Mt Hotham. On the drive in to this cache, there was a goanna on the road. It quickly made its way up a small tree beside the road. In total, it was about 6 feet long (with around half of that its tail). I managed to drive quite close to GZ, where I found the cache after a couple of minutes looking. Lovely views from up there.
My thanks to splittie0_0 for the cache.

I found this cache during a massive day of caching around Albury and the Chiltern - Mt. Pilot National Parks. 40 caches in all found during the trip, with a number of rare D/T combos allowing me to complete two loops of P81. I had a great day with a lot of bush walking, driving and even some yakking up the Murray just to add to the days adventures. The weather was perfect and many of the caches were of top quality and a lot of fun to get to and find.
Parked the car and made my way over to GZ. It was a little tricky to locate at night but got there in the end. Unfortunately as it was dark I didn't get to check out the views from here. Thanks for the hide.

Quick stop on the way back from Eldorado, I thought this would be an easy one but it took about 20 minutes to find. I joked about finding it and we were just about to give up and then I made the find. It's a beautiful area. It reminded me a bit of Naboo from Star Wars.. with the big rocks and nice green grass.
Thanks for hiding!

I abandoned the geomobile close to the parking spot and set off to see if this was a tribute cache to honour Dwayne Johnson, or was a movie challenge cache where I had to name which 'James Bond' actor starred in "The Rock" to claim the smilie
Or ... maybe I would need to know the postcode of Gibraltar to open the lock on the cache container ?
Who knows ??
Or maybe it was just a nice easy stroll to find a rock to sit on and take in the scenery while you reached down between you feet to retrieve a geocache ? [:o]
Well it was all those things for me !!
