Unfortunately did not find, found first part, but wondering if second part was destroyed by recent storm and king tides. Disappointed kids. Definitely best to drive to Whangaruru Wharf Rd and go in from there.
We parked around the coast on Wharf Rd and had a nice walk to gz. We wondered about the concrete walls which seemed to be right under very old pohutakawa trees. Some of the walls were perhaps were from the old batches as mentioned in the multi. At gz there was definite tracks around the totara where water had flowed quickly down hill. No cache would remain there so we found a little hidey hole below in the roots and replaced the cache and covered it with rocks. Again I hope this is okay. Thanks for the tikitour around this area
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
A quick find here on our way home after a great weekend of caching in the Bay of Islands. A pleasant spot, TFTC!

Passing close by so checked out the cache. Hideout has been a little overpowered by a slight landslide so have covered with some obvious small stones. All dry and good.
#1378, ended up being our only cache on way home since the tent took longer than hoped to dry. Ended up getting caught in the traffic 6km north of Warksworth back on our way to Auckland. Cache hard to spot. Nice walk along the coast. TFTC

Doing a circuit of some of our handier caches today. Cache in good condition and still in its secret spot. Added the original logbook now that it is dry.
We came via dingy which got us muddy but persisted and found. Not many finds on this one so we're happy.
Kayaked from Puriri Bay, first to find the cache GC192YZ, then this one. It is not far by kayak from the final destination of GC192YZ, so made for a quick grab. Good to see the kawakawa plant at the cache. Rub the leaves on if you forget your insect repellent! TFTC
Replaced wet container with new dry one and new goodies. Will add the old log pages once they dry out!
dropped by for a check up. Pretty wet inside so we'll need to do some maintenance. Temporally dried but logbook soggy. Please bring a page if visiting before we resolve.
another beautiful little place. Enjoyed the stroll along the water and a easy find. Yes there are alot of broken bottles about, but not at GZ.
Spent time looking around and found lots of old bottles and general rubbish. didn't have time to keep chasing this one as the GPS kept wandering due to the local landscape. Nice location for a quick visit anyway.
Hadnt been here before even though we have been visiting the harbour for years, thanks for the cache.
Sailed into Ruru and took the dinghy across in the morning after a lovely calm night. Great to catch up good luck with the paddling.
4777 Tricky hide at Tamateatai Point, took a few minutes before we laid hands on it. Nice spot, TFTC.
Found it with Mr Chillipips after lovely walk on pebble beach with interesting fallen trees. Lovely area for a picnic. Swapped Tiki playing cards for Silver fern ones. Dropped German GC and frog TB in and out. TFTC SL

Wandered around the coast to the cache, easy going even at 3/4 tide. Found a simpler way back to the car but not as much fun. Had a good chat to a customary rights warden, who reckons the fishing is great off the point here.

We arrived here by dinghy, having plotted the cache on our chart on board the boat. Not bad - we landed about 40 metres from the cache. Left a yacht charm and a jandal keyring, Took tuatara stamp. SL. TFTC.
Found on the 2nd look, how did we miss this last time, oh it was dark that may have something to do with it.
Soooooooooo, we dallied too long in Russell the other day and did not have enough light to find this one. Much more sensible to return in the daytime and enjoy the scenic beauty of the harbour anyhow. Not tooo much trouble this time to shed some light on the cache.
Thanks for the cache, another excuse to visit this great little area and showing us another nook of it formerly unknown to us.
Another day of Fun & plenty of Sun!

Another magic spot on the Whangaruru Harbour. Have now experienced this area with both the tide in & out, night & day, using common sense & not using common sence!!! Woohoo, found at last...TFTC
Rowed over from anchorage. Had a scratch around and found a lot of rubbish but no cache. Not a good start to the new year!!. Will have to come back after the New Year celebrations have cleared from our brain.
Heard about the new series of caches and as we were staying close by so thought we would attempt the run of FTFs. This one was a quick find and another blank log FTF T4TC.
