Grabbed another smiley here today as i was pottering around on my bike.. easy to find but the log book if a tad tamp, maybe a Cacher in the future on a hot day could leave it out in the sun for 5 mins,,, should sort it.
After logging a dnf we walked down to rail walk one and found that. On our way back we decided to check one last spot that we hadnt looked and voila there it is. So pleased to turn a blue face to a smiley. All good here. TFTC.
Took a few moments to work out what the hint meant. All good here.
Thanks for the cache, drawp

Tricky find. Had to get down on knees and use a stick to get out. Hedge has grown and leaves covered. Thanks for the fun.
Had to come down to Oamaru to install a new device onto a packaging machine at Rainbow Confectionary. Had noted that there were a few caches on a the bike trail here that were just down the road from Rainbow.
Took the opportunity tonight after work to park the car at the end of the street and wander to a few of the caches.
This proved to be a bit harder to find than the first 2. Believe this is due to the hedge having grown over the years.
Was a blind feel on my knees that finally provided success !!!!

Had a bit of a look for this one but no luck. A few people around and a barking dog. Will try another time
Day off so after doing Buckley’s hill thought I’d head down here to grab the caches along here. Found this pretty quick TFTC
Down from Auckland to claim the last 2 Geotour caches and to pick up a heap of others for a challenge I’m working on. Not only that, I’m working towards my 8000th cache, oh where will it land I wonder??
A nice and easy find along the way as I head back south to Dunedin. I'm staying at Leith Valley camping ground, but not camping as such...oh no...I have a lovely wooden cabin waiting for me.

Hint was great, but still took a minute or two to find the correct post. Thanks for the cache drawp
Now which hint object as there were a couple to choose from. I picked the wrong one first. Quite a thick hedge to push through but that helps protect the cache from muggles.
Leg stretching in Oamaru on the way south and a nice walk here complete with caches! TFTC!!
A Queen's Birthday Sunday outing to explore the Oamaru biking tracks. After a circuit of the Reservoir, a quick there and back on this very short urban trail. We didn't stop for this during our day at the Geofest Labour w/e 2017, so nice to finally get here.
Spent Saturday going like the clappers and knocking as many of these off as we could as a group. Signed as TTT (Trans Tasman Team) Thanks for the fun day you provided us with!
Out and about with Karma Reprint this weekend, it was time to go solo and jump on the bike and claim this string. Hosing down in the rain, no time for mucking about so made a quick job of them. Having watched quite a few others finding this over the weekend, I waited until the wettest part to do it. Doh. Cheers
The Geofest was such a fun weekend but it was over too soon. Jess.daphne and I went on the caching trail for our final day and this was one of our finds. We signed the log as Jeje. Thanks so much for placing this cache!
Found during the Oamaru Geofest. With Injeanious we signed the log as JeJe to save time and space. TFTC!
This was the tenth day of my driving trip down to Oamaru for Geofest 2017. I stopped every five to ten kms or so along the way to grab a cache. This expanded my driving time to a total of two weeks to get there and home again. I ended up going a total of 3,500 kms.
It would have been a shame not to get the caches closest to Geofest, so I made of coming to get this one. I teamed up with CJ-Curry. TFTC.

Enjoying wandering (and driving) around Oamaru picking up caches as we go. Thanks for the hide .
A nice quick find while down for the Oamaru Geofest weekend.

Decided it would be rude not to have a look as we were stopped waiting for the ride. Very quickly got muggled by Gracie&Mum, who pointed me at a likely spot. When that didn't work, they came around and helped me look. Eventually they found a different container to the one they signed earlier, with very few logs in it. Then while we were discussing it, someone else came along, and found the original container on the other side of the path. Looks like someone may have replaced it. Entertainment all around. Thanks.
found all safe and secure no problem at all found with team_macdonald while out on another adventure TFTC
Found whilst here for the geofest race with flipnz and RowenaD, thanks for all the geocaches everyone.
Tried to find this about 18 months ago with no luck. Today with a group of cachers we find two containers. I signed both logbooks
18:40, there's Always time for just one more.... Picked up by team TIE on the way to the prize giving. Tftc
Found at the Oamaru Geofest on the start of a morning walk. Starting out at the Geofest HQ (i.e. the school), this was my first stopping point. An easy find from following the hint. I returned later in the company of others to discover that there was a second one nearby - I signed them both to be sure but it might be worth checking by the CO as one of them might be a a throwdown. Cheers!
2nd day of the Geofest, we spent mostly picking up puzzle and wherigo's, another great day was had by the team going from cache to cache and topped off by the prizegiving in the evening. Thanks goes to those that made the event possible and those that placed the caches for us to find
Found with LaStorm15
A nice easy find after popping in and registering our attendance at the GeoFest.

#2,953: Binge Smiley!
What an adventure we had today! TheWanglers, Team_Gaters, and I headed out at dawn from Christchurch with four goals in mind: 1) Find Many Caches, 2) Get TG to 7,000 finds, 3) get me to 3,000 finds, and 4) Have Fun! Needless to say, all were accomplished in spades. It was only my second 100+ day ever, and had us driving, walking, running, biking, and even crawling to make the finds. We were also able to find at least 7 different cache types, and attend two events, in order to catch up with old friends. Thanks to all the hiders, but most of all, thanks to my partners in crime! We signed all logs as "T8T", sung to the tune of AC/DC "TNT".

We are in Oamaru for the Geofest, and today we have teamed up with patrol14 to go puzzle collecting! I have rather a lot of them solved around here.
After the pathtag swap we headed out to grab the five Trads right nearby. TFTC, drawp.

Visiting Oamaru for the Geofest and while here trying to find a variety of caches. Thank you to all the CO's who have placed caches both in town as well as the various rural areas we visited.
With a break between workshops Jude_E and I took the opportunity to get out and pick up a few caches and some rubbish in between. TFTC drawp

Day one of the Geofest over. Phew! Not that that means day one of the Geofest is over, oh, no, not by a long way! Taybeedragon and I decided to walk down the cycle trail for a ways - mainly to get some exercise in. First stop here.
This was the closest one found to the Geofest event. It's hard to believe that my birth father was a pupil here way back when he was growing up.
Having checked in at the Oamaru Geofest headquarters it was time to have a fun day of collecting the numbers.
A quick stop here as I left the venue

Its Saturday - Geofest17 Day and day 2 of our expidition. Spent the day at the event as The Seagnoid had commitments. With the Trails cleaned and no picnic, we have a couple of hours before games evening begins. Its picnic fare on the hoof, while we are hoofing it around the local environs. Hope the rain stays away!
First stop here and trying not to be muggled by the other patrons at the college. Snagged and tagged after a quick hunt. Cheers

Visiting from Brisbane to attend the Oamaru Geofest 2017.
Teamed up with IolantheK and T-Tech to find some Challenges/Puzzles caches and a few traditionals along the way.
IolantheK wanted to attend the Pathtag swap, so T-Tech and I spent the time finding the few Trads near to the Event.
Searched in the wrong spot until a fellow cacher guided us to the right location while sitting in her car near the train lines.
Gotta love the help you get from fellow cachers at Events.
Thanks for placing these caches in some awesome countryside.!!!
