Spotted the piece of bark hiding the cache. No trouble here. All good with the cache.
Found with dakotacats on a quick walk around the reserve. Found just as the phone died. TFTC
Just as we reached the tree my phone died, so we were pretty happy to find the cache without needing a hint. TFTC
Miss 4's turn to get this cache, she navigated us to the right place, and then found the spot where the cache was hidden, needed some persuasion to reach in and grab the cache - she got there in the end. TFTC, a great wee walk
I have gone a bit further afield from Gore today.
I continued along the Long Track to get to this one.
Cheers for the cache.

Cache 533 I needed to start hitting caches further away again for my 365 challenge so I thought I’d check this little spot out only found 1 of the 3 caches hidden away in this wee gem of a track, but cache was a nice quick easy find in excellent condition added a Christmas ornament I found randomly hanging in a tree on the way T4TC ️
Got this one snagged and tagged. Enjoying this bush walk. But only getting 1 out of 3 was not good hunting.
Friday 6 November. We are off exploring Waituna Lagoon and Seawards Downs today. Its a beautiful sunny day today.
Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

so right it doesn't need a clue, also had a look for the 3rd one in this area but all I could find was penguin scratchings TFTC MATM
Saw the cluster on the map so off to explore. A nice walk with some great trees. Noisy ducks as well somewhere.
A nice day for a walk so why not pick up a cache to add to the fun.
This is a beautiful place and my 3rd visit I just love seeing the huge native pine and rimus.
It is great to see the next generation of rimi trees starting there life so our young people can see this place for many years to come.
Thanks for the hide

A lovely bush to visit I am amazed to find these wee areas with massive trees plonked in the middle of paddocks (tho I think the forest was there first Thanks so much for showing me and puppa thanks for the good run birds were singing away after the rain all yesterday v cool tftc
We had left Invercargill last night when the wind was howling, we were quite worried that the wind would tip over our campervan and/or trailer. So we decided to head up the island to see if we could get away from the wind.
As we were slowly making our way along I read the New Zealand Motor Home Book and it showed this reserve and it mentioned sheltered. That was the word I needed to hear. We arrived and we were the only people here, three rabbits were not so pleased at their big white neighbour who arrived and they scurried off into the bushes.
We stopped along side the bushes and it was the first time in days that the van has stopped being buffetted by the wind. Oh bliss!.
This morning before breakfast (and before I was awake) GK headed around the loop track t find these three caches. A nice quick find here and all is well with the cache.
Some magnificent trees in this reserve, an area we will remember and come back to if we are ever down this way again.
Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley.

A new year and as the weather forecast was wrong we headed out for a picnic.
Pleasantly surprised to find this spot empty of any other families.
After our "picnic pie" Saethwr and headed bush while muggly hubby minded the car - as a campervan pulled in just as we headed off.
Last of the loop, a lovely walk in the shade, with plenty of birdsong and a few bees around today.
Thanks for the smilie kiwiarmy.

I love the many parks and bush areas you have here in Southland. Tonight I visited a few, enjoyed the bush walks and grabbed more caches. I have seen this small cluster of caches each time I visit Edendale for work and tonight I decided to detour and see where they were hiding on the drive home. My GPS was not so accurate but the clue led me to the right spot. TFTC
Only one found here today. Co'od spot on; doubled back on others but had no joy.
Great cache in a superb reserve. Thanks to all so generous to provide and maintain this gorgeous we spot.......and what an amazing stand of rimu.
Easy find on an easy and sheltered short walk. Thanks for bringing us to this little reserve with all the big and cool trees. TFTC
Had an awesome time in the reserve with my daughter and dog, it was a very nice walk and managed to find all three available in the reserve.
Great place for a cache, even better when there are more than one. Thanks for improving this reserve by placing the cache here. Not a spot we would have visited otherwise. SL TFTC.
Raced out to seaward downs after work with the dogs to find what we didn't find last time here, TFTC, lovely evening walk
What a way to start tbe day! We spent the night in this lovely reserve and then were escorted through the bush to the cache by a little fantail, just magic.

Jogged the track as had been sitting in the car too long. Loved this trial, nice and easy going. Got the other 2 caches on the track as well. TFTC
Quick easy find in this lovely bush. Really enjoyed the walk, never knew this was here. TFTC.
Mama and Guwapo caching together today while Papa cycles from Clinton to Invercargill. They caught up with Granville today to help him find a few. Quick find right where it should be. Salamat!
What a grand piece of bush. Never been here before. Big thanks for the cache here.
Not the largest tree by a country mile, but once the gps settled it was an easy find. Did not see the GC, although I may have missed it. TFTC, really enjoyed the walk - did the whole loop.
Looked and looked but no luck. Our GPS is a car one so we need to get the software to make it pedestrian and then we'll try again. We did take out LOTS of trash!!
Has taken me a while to log this one - found this one after going the wrong way down the track - tried the southern entrance and had more luck but probably could have finished the loop track at my first try but light was fading
