Is this cache still 'alive'??
I suspect that it's not.
We will await verification that its still there before attempting again.

There was a lot of mud but I couldn't see which really did fit into the picture.

Found the log (blowing in the breeze) at 3pm, the log however wasn't inside a container, nor did it have waterproofing.. has anyone found it since the playground was dismantled??

Had hubby and 3yo helping with this one. Spent about half an hour looking everywhere we could think of, but couldn't find anything.
Yep, definitely not a Sistema. Luckily I had a really accurate signal and went straight to the cache and missed the obvious - but wrong - hiding location. Cheers!

GZ put me in a playground that was lacking playground equipment.. I assumed the cache was toast.. but since it was logged yesterday.. I will have to have another look!.. watch this space..!
A good cache to finish on today because we were just about Dunn & Dusted after leaving Cranbourne at 7:30 am this morning. Cache was found easily enough although the log was pretty mouldy. Thanks pocketrocket&friends for the cache.
Nice camo hide, unfortunately paper was too wet yet again to sign log, seems to be the trend tonight... TFTC
16th find for the night during a night caching run with my partner in crime Marshy (Blacklegend17). TFTC.
15th find for the night during a night caching run with my good mate Marty (quasar3671). Different sort of hide, but located pretty quickly. Thanks for the hide.
This is probably our fave cache so far (only started the other day).
It was a lil' damp - especially now Melbourne's heading into Winter, it may need a lil' jacket to keep it dry.
Fab cache - thanks!
(and double thanks for the facts too, fascinating).

Thankfully, when I arrived near GZ and saw it was going to be a playground, I was very pleased to see that it was empty. I'd prepared my itinerary for today in a bit of a hurry and hadn't read the notes or logs for the later caches, so I was pretty fortunate to spot a familiar looking hide as I got to GZ and was preparing to go through the usual rigmarole in such situations - otherwise, it might have taken a bit of a search.

Thanks pocketrocket&friends - the log sheet was a bit damp, but fine for the moment

I quickly found this cache, but had to wait for a few muggles to leave the area before retrieving the cache. The cache log book is starting to get damp, might be worth a visit to recify. Thanks
Found - a very clever cache, thanks! I found that the log was quite damp - I think the cache has lost some of it's watertightness. Cheers!
What a clever cache, good camo! GPS coords were a bit out (due to trees) so we originally looked in the wrong spots. Then geo hubby stepped on something that didn't quite look like the real thing so we kind of found this one by accident! SL. TNLN. TFTC.
Found it great container, also in 2 months the playground (GZ) will be knocked down and will be built in another area
Found this one with a team from New Zealand, on our way home from the Wagga Wagga MEGA event.
Quick find as there were a lot of spots. No muggles always helps in playgrounds. Cheers Gav [5778]
One of numerous (800+) caches visited on our MEGA trip to Aussie.

I made a couple of visits to this spot before finding it, first being foiled by muggles watching what I was doing, and then my own inability to look in the right spot. Tonight I returned on my way home from work and was enuncumbered by the above, so was able to finally lay my hands on it. As soon as I saw it I was pretty sure I knew where it'd be, this time. Thanks PR&F.
Went and looked for this one twice.
I am never good at finding in these locations and tonight was no exception.
You beat me.

This was the second find today on my clean up of Werribee and then onto Footscray and Williamstown. Called by this cache a week ago but a very upset muggle was just sitting on the seat and was not going anywhere so back today and the coast was clear. GPS was not happy but the well cameoed cache was eventually found and the log signed.
Thanks for placing this cache .
Found this one around 10am after an appointment in the area. Had me scratching my head but when I saw it I was impressed. TFTC SN
I was expecting a nasty piece of devious camo here. I set about searching and accidently discovered it while examining something else. It's nice to have a bit of luck every now and then!

Biggles Bear #1 and I looked around for a little while before the cache was found. Thanks for the well camouflaged cache.
No kids about this morning to make me look suss, so it was a surprisingly easy find for such a cleverly hidden and concealed cache.
My thanks to pocketrocket&friends for the piece of history on a nicely named cache, SL

Found at 1410. Passed by this way a couple of weeks ago, and whilst I had a bit of a poke around, a few muggles kept wandering by which made me a little wary of searching around. Today I was joined by Captain Brooks, and whilst there were plenty of muggles around watching the cricket being played on the nearby oval, CB eventually made the find.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Found while out on a day caching with Acts2YouthGroup. I liked this one - a good container and good coordinates made for an easy find. Nice to see such a club stalwart recognised too. Thanks pocketrocket&friends.
This was cache # 7 of 36 for the day, in the company of Alansee. We were glad there were no kiddie's about and thankfully for good coordinates as I found this in the first place I looked. My thanks to pocketrocket&friends for the cache.
Found @ 1740.
Found with ggkof on our usual Tuesday night caching excursion. ggkof found the cache in the first place he looked.

Found @ 17:45 while out caching with davroy tonight. 5th find tonight. Our GZ seemed unlikely so widened the search only to find GZ was spot on where I eventually found the cache. TFTC SL
Found 12.30pm
Parked up very close to GZ and was lucky to have the area to ourselves which was good as we sort of stood out a bit. Had a quick search around before trusting the GPSr and finding the unusual cache container, just as we were signing the log another car pulled up very close so we quickly put the log back and re-hid the cache.

We found this cache at 4:45pm as the 16th of 21 on our Bay to Maribynong Afternoon. Two playground caches in a row. We were standing at a certain spot whilst we were waiting for a family to move on. Little did we know at the time that we were right at GZ. Thanks from D & K B-A.
Another one while on the way home from our caching picnic in Altona. For my second cache in a row, there were thankfully no kiddies around to upset so a quick search had me with the cache in hand at 18:50.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks pocketrocket&friends.
PS: The inside of the container is actually broken although I don't think it will cause weather problems.

Cracker Girl used to play cricket so Cracker Mum has spent many an hour at ovals like these, also being in charge of the afternoon tea. It's nice to see committed members of the clubs honored in this way. We are not a fan of this type of hide as two old farts without children look quite out of place in this sort of area but at 6 o'clock on a cool Friday night we were in luck and the area was deserted so we decided to get out of the car and have look. The cache was found fairly quickly and we were on our way
Thanks pocketrocket&friends for a great hide and some interesting history

Found by Mary & David at 1010. Loved the camo. Too hot for cricket today, and nobody else about, thankfully. Our thanks to pocketrocket&friends.
Finally found it on my third attempt this morning. I swear I looked very closely there, I really did! Anyway, so good to be able to cross this one off my list. Cheers!
Found this one at 10:20 thought that i might have co-ords wrong as i passed the baseball field as i only had the co-ords no paper work, arrived at GZ no problem, great place to watch planes go over.Thanks.
Found by caughtatwork at 7:50
After dropping off Jess at a party GabGab and I had some spare time this very warm evening to find a cache or two and this one was very close to where we were so, naturally we headed off to find it.
Once at GZ (after parking very, very close by) we were a little stumped as to where to look, but experience and trusting the GPS (1.2m to GZ when we found the cache) revealed the clever cache container.
GabGab then headed off for a bit of a play while I made the log.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks pocketrocket&friends for this cache this evening. There was no-one about and that made for an easier find than I'm certain it would be at other times of the day.
An interesting piece of history and something, without geocaching, I would never have known about.

I found this cache with caughtatwork. It was a lot of fun to find and then I got to play on the swings, so this was a very fun cache for me. Thank you.
An excellent, however somewhat tricky cache to find - was just about to give up when I noticed the 'slightly out of place' cache. Lucky I brought my pencil with me; if there was one in there then it is no longer (if not maybe suggest bringing pencil on description).
Word of warning to those bringing Geodog along, yes the site is dog friendly but as you near the cache site please heed the signs and tie your dog up for a bit (with my head in my GPS I did not see the sign and was told in no uncertain terms by 'muggle granny' walking by that dogs were not permitted here!!). This was handy, however as I am in process of prepping my own cache and so sent Teen Jackal to the site to look for similar signs. TFTC

An easy find, although we had muggle kids there, but we had the geodaughter to run interference. Cache was quickly in hand. Found with Mr Jibblets on a caching day in the western suburbs after leaving 'Intervening Days II (Event Cache)' TFTH...SL....TNLN

This cache is certainly not a sistema and it is all the better for it. I have a funny feeling that this cache might be hard to get at certain times. 7.30am today was not one of these times.

Glad for the great cowards as this one was a doozy of a hide.
Great to see that it wasnt just another sistema container. I think we all agree that can get quite boring sometimes.
Thanks PR&F ... Fantastic hide.

Back again tonight, armed with a broad hint from a previous finder (thanks PrincessDiala!). Scoured the area once again, but still nothing. I am beginning to think this one's gone, but will continue to watch closely.
This one's tough! My GPSr had me in the middle of the playground, right at the swing. I spent a good 20 minutes searching all over the playground, then widened my search to outside the fenced area. I had to give up, so I'll log the DNF and watch to see what others can find. Are others finding the coordinates on this one accurate?
This cache took me to visits to log a find this afternoon.
I had to leave the first time because a muggle rocked up intent on locating a different type of treasure.
Using a completely different device- a metal detector.
Upon my return it didn't take too long to find it.
I would have liked someone to be with me to give me a push on the swing. haha.
Thanks for the cache pocketrocket&friends.

Nothing like rain all day to limit the nimber of muggles around!
The area was empty when we arrived, but it still took us a while to find.
We have seen this kind of hide before, but not for a while.
thanks, Robmc.

A fantastic tribute to a local identity , on arrival of gz i was in the middle of the playground and searched in the obvious places but had to play millionaire and phone a friend who gave me a clue , with out that it was going to be a dnf . but put it down to experience and became a winner . thanks pocketrocket&friends
Joint FTF - Found today at 2:28pm with 3up. Was looking at the site on and off most of the day when this one came up just after lunch, what more do you need to knock off work early than a cache over the river and around the bend. Printed out cache and headed off, only to find that someone was already looking for what I was about to look for. Finally located the cache with 3up after about 10 minutes, logged cache and had a chat. Nice bit of history about the cricket club, Thanks pocketrocket&friends.
Find # 746 @ 14:28 and second to find in the company of shane_thompson.
I headed off towards this one after I had completed my shopping duties hoping for a FTF. I had been looking for a little while before shane_thompson arrived on the scene. We chatted for a bit then it was heads down on the prowl. Shane_thompson soon had the cache in hand with me standing adjacent. Congratulations to shane_thompson on the FTF.

I noticed this come on line this afternoon and was quite empressed as spent many of my younger days playing cricket here on a sat.
Claude is a great ambassador to the cricketing and also the Kingsville community.
I felt a bit sentimental here as he also was the captain for KBCC team of the last 50 years!!
Another member of this great team just happened to be themd senior.
Great cache. Cheers to the pocketrocket crew.

This one became my new nearest to home cache, so I had to go out and do something about it. In the last few days, I cleaned up some other recent close hides, now this one.
Found today, at 7:00 PM, well after the FTF, Congratulations to Shane Thompson on this one. I was about the seventh finder in five hours.
Thanks for the cache, and the fun.
