As Joni Mitchell once wrote "They paved paradise and put up a parking lot"
Well history repeats itself and this little paradise of walking tracks and native bushland has fallen victim to the need of a bigger parking lot and is in the process of being transformed into concrete and bitumen.
The cache and surrounding structure have been unceremoniously ripped out.

5/10/15. 3:39 PM.
I headed out here on a hot afternoon and parked at the provided "parking area" waypoint. The walk to GZ looked like it was going to be a bit longer than it should take, because from the carpark I had a long detour to walk around some fenced off deep excavation.
As the area was deserted, I snuck through a fence, but then as I got closer I noticed that even the area around GZ had been fenced off as well. What's worse, the infrastructure that the cache was most likely hidden under in the past has been ripped up and taken away, and most likely the cache has gone too. CO needs to inspect.
I headed off to "Train Spotter - Blacktown International Sportspark" next.

I'll check if I can get into the area. I thought the structure would stay as its only a road going in.
#268 – Looking 4 Cache iPad App & Garmin eTrex 30
This was the fourth of four finds for today. After finding ‘Park Ridge’, Geodad and I headed for home but knew this cache was on the way. I had solved this puzzle over the Christmas/New Year break and was amazed I was able to solve it with little difficulty. We found a place to park and started the leisurely stroll to GZ. Once reaching GZ, we started searching anywhere a small cache could be found. I was looking around until something caught my eye. I reached around and was surprised to have CIH. SLTNLN. TFTC.

I spent a while searching and found a set of coordinates within the area near the suggested parking spot.
It was a short walk, but there was nothing ideal for a hide there.
I resorted to a paf, just to find that I searched too deeply for the coordinates. Tbis time I came back with a new gz, just to find that my previous coordinates were pointing to the track turn-off to the real hiding spot.
This place is peaceful, though if it were wetlands I would find it even more of a hidden paradise.
Thanks for the cache.
Oh and I left a tb.

Streak Day #394 - Finally I get to turn this one into a smiley...Seems the previous seekers that DNF the cache have gotten incorrect results as there are no houses being built or any excavation going on here at GZ. TFTC
Im blonde and yes I followed the blue dot and walk aimlessly around a house being built lamo , think I worked it out tomorrow s fine hopefully
After solving this cache went out after a morning at wooffest. Not sure if this one is still accessible, lots of excavation and planting where coords lead.
found with rubymoon and catlynxx... signed as missgeo10
gotten a new account since then and am trying to catch up on logging

Took a little time from solving the puzzle to finding the cache. This hide was a little different for a riblit cache. I quite like the area. An oasis in a sea of houses. TFTC.
Made a few trips here to search the spots where the arrows pointed to on the old map but came up empty.
Was given a hint that I should look closely at a photo and take note of its background.
I know where that is! Looked here and there until CIH. Thanks Riblet, TNLN

Passing by the area today so we decided to have a look for this one as I had the co-ords worked out for some time. Nice area to stroll around but the cache was proving a bit elusive. Eventually I heard that wonderful sound 'I got it". Good job on the hide. SL left Pathtag. TFTC
Solved the puzzle in preparation for a chance to visit the area. Found with J+J.au after expanding our search area and opening up my geocaching hide archives somewhere deep in my head. Eventually spotted this little number. SLTN..TFTC
Starting to get the knack for solving puzzles. I've had this cache in my GPS for nearly 2 years and tried it when I first started caching not realising that this was a puzzle cache I went to the published coords. I found GZ but was having no luck locating the cache. With the threat of fading sunlight and my car being locked in the car park I succumb to a PAF. My GPS said I was 13 metres from GZ when I finally grabbed the cache. SL #943 on streak day #386 TFTC
Thanks Riblit for a different way to find a cache.I had a bit of difficulty with this one got a tip from a fellow cacher on the technique to decipher the coords once gatherd off to GZ.......once there I'd realised that I'd enter a incorrect digit and put me way off, with the info at home I caved to a paf and Morley came to the rescue(thanks) soon had cih sl and returned safely,

Although it's the first of this kind that I have encountered in my short geocaching career, it didn't take me too long to work it out. However, it did take me a while to find the cache itself in today’s heat and glare. I finally spotted it though and, fortuitously, found something else of interest at GZ. Thanks Riblit, great puzzle and nice hide.
Our 6585th overall find.
This one had me scratching my head for a short while but it wasn't long before I spotted something that fitted the CO and the GX just fell out from there.
Thanks Riblit for the cache.

Came by with Bit Matt tonight on an adventurous tour around the area finding some caches...and whilst it wasn't a big night for finding a lot of caches...we selected a few that we simply were really keen to find. Big Matt had done the leg work for solving this one...and once at GZ...we managed to put our hands on the cache straight away. Always nice to learn something new when finding a cache.

Just happened to be in Sydney for the night with work and instead of sitting in the motel, took the opportunity to go find a couple of caches.
This one is one of a few solved after banging heads with the puzzle queen back home, in prep for a trip next month.
Arrived in the area after dark and well after "closing" time of the carpark, and although the carpark was open I wasn't keen to leave the truck there to come back and find it locked in.
Managed to find a suitable place to park and made it to Gz, very quiet and peaceful at night.
Picked up TBs to keep moving on. Cheers.

After my finds today I still had a couple of TB's in my pocket and this seemed to be a good place to drop them off.
We had looked and put this one down a few times. Having down one of the CO’s other caches we thought we knew what to look for but did not see anything we understood and then tried averaging the co-ords but evidence said no. Recently we had down some planning for a trip and the penny dropped as to what we needed to find. Back through the clues and there it was. We soon fashioned it into a set of numbers we could understand and headed off. We arrived in the GZ areas back could not find the hid but saw a place 50m away that looked more appealing. A check of our co-ords and we found we had typed in an incorrect key so once corrected it took us to the place we had in mind. Once at the new GZ it was a quick find. We signed teh log and re hid. Dropped in on this one on the way back from elsewhere. The cache is in good condition and ready to be found.
#963 and my 62nd consectutive day of caching
I have a bank of local(ish) puzzles that I've solved, but haven't gone out to find the actual cache. They are coming in handy now that I've started this attempt of 100 days straight of caching.
Yesterday I decided that it was time I came to Western Sydney to look for this one and set out with bikerbuddy navigating for me. About half way down the Mountains I suddenly remembered the warning about closing times for the parking area. Decided to keep on heading for it anyway, to see if we could still get in. I had a back up cache not too far away if necessary.
Got to the gates at 7:30 pm & found they were still open. Thought about whether or not I wanted to risk it, and ended up parking on the grass verge outside the gates (wasn't really in my plans for the evening to be stuck inside this area overnight).
Made my way quickly to GZ & made an easy find, even in the dark. bikerbuddy dropped in a TB, as this was the first cache he had been to lately with enough room for trackables.
Thanks Ribit, for both the easy find tonight and for the challenging puzzle. I learned a new puzzle solving technique with this one.
Got back to the entrance and found the gate had been locked. I may not have looked too dignified clambering over the gate to get out, but at least we weren't trapped in with the car for the night. This is the second time lately we've made the sensible decision to not risk the possibility of an open gate being locked by the time we got back.

Well this took some time to work out, with some gentle prodding from other then some not so gentle prodding, more like thump me over the head. having never actually had much to do with working out puzzles I looked and looked and looked for ages, but was all Greek, Italian and Polish rolled into one, not to mention the other language outlined in the cache.
So now I have learned a bit but not enough it seems to tackle one of the other ones closer to home, so thanks for the experience and the cache. TNLNSL

I was visiting Western Sydney from Maitland and wanted to grab some caches before heading home. This one was at the top of my to do list but i couldn't work out what needed to be done. After some help from Purplepeopleater and also pilgrim4096 i had the coordinates to GZ......
Took a couple of minutes before i found the well hidden cache.....
Enjoyed doing this one and learnt a lot in the process.

Parked at the suggested Parking and may my way to GZ. I begun to search and and to my surprise, I found nothing. I resorted to a PAF which then pointed me in the right direction after I realised my mistake in putting the co-ords into my GPS. Once at the real GZ, the cache was found soon after. Nice hide and a nice mystery. TNLN SL TFTC.
Looked at this when I first started caching as it was very close to home but had no idea where to start.
Decided I wanted to make this our 200the find so set about solving a few easy ones in the hope it would lend an idea to solving this 1.
Nope got nowhere!
Decided to email the CO for a hint but before they replied I ran into a cacher at another find and explained where I was at and they pointed me to some very handy puzzle solving info.
The CO messaged me back but I had already solved the puzzle a couple days before and sat on the solution to make this our 200th find.
We grabbed a couple quick ones today then made or way here a bit worried in making the find and had CIH very quickly, big smiles all round.

Saw this puzzle a while ago but wasn't sure how to crack it. A few nts ago, I happened to mention it to the better half & within 5mins, we had the coords. We'll certainly be doing more puzzle caches now that we know how challenging and fun they are to crack. Thanks for bringing us here. TNLN SL TFTC
I have been trying to figure this one out for some time now and finally had the right numbers to locate the cache. It took a lot of grey matter to come up with the answer and I am glad I can cross it off my list.
Being a beautiful autumn day the walk to GZ was pleasant and as the signs warn snakes are present in the area. I watched a Red-Bellied Black Snake lazily move along through the grass next to the path. It took no notice of me watching, of course from a safe distance, before it headed off into longer growth nearby.
Great Puzzle, Great Location, Great Experience, TNLN Thanks. .

Another puzzle that has been sitting there solved in my book for some time. Happened to be passing by today and took the chance to search. Like Jonnosan I took way too long looking for the cache, but finally came up trumps after getting confirmation from a friend that I was in the correct place overall.

I was rather pleased with myself at knocking this puzzle over pretty quickly, but am embarrassed at how long I spent at GZ looking for the cache. In fact I was just about to shout uncle and head back to the car before the gates got locked when a small flash of inspiration gave me a smile. And a smilie.
Thanks for a fun puzzle Riblit.

After having solved this many weeks ago, I couldn't grab it as I was holding off for my 1000th cache. Now that I'm past that, the flood gates have opened and I was able to grab this on the way home from the mountains. Knew approx where this was and took a chance at a carpark. Once I switched on my GPSr and checked the coords, I was on my way to GZ. Got there and made the find soon after. Thanx for the mystery Riblit, TFTC.

Well this one took some working out and a PAF. We arrived at GZ and we where stumped we searched around with out success. After calling a PAF we discovered we where no where near GZ. Armed with some new clues we arrived at GZ and after searching I gave up and wandered down to grab another nearby cache that had eluded us due to muggling leaving the brother in law (Glenwarra) to keep searching.
A arriving back at discover that Glenwarra had found the cache with the aid of another PAF.

This mystery had been covered in earlier emails with Baktrak, so it was no surprise that it appeared on the geocycle list. Surely the mischief had been expended in the 'description', and with the co-ordinates in hand it would be an easy find? No, not to be. While Baktrak looked on in amusement, Greyscreek and I bent and climbed and contorted without success.
Then Baktrak offered a clue - he'd spotted it since we'd arrived. Not one bit did that help and so we kept searching. After too long, Greyscreek put his hand on it and it was all over. Certainly a clever hide that works well, not the least being to keep things dry. Thanks Riblit for another fine example.

It's a nice day today, a bit windy but not too much and enough cloud to filter the sun's rays. To top it off, the cache is in good condition.
@ris768 If you found construction fences you are looking where the cache isn't.
You should look closer at the the listing.

I think this one is a goner as the whole area is under construction and security wouldn't let us past the fence. CO needs to check cache or the coordinates.
I didn't realise that this was a puzzle cache. Ignore my goner message.

I'd looked at this one some months back when I was getting into the mystery caches a bit more but I have to admit it had me completely stumped like so many before me. Recently thanks to Calypso62 I discovered a key to puzzles like these and finally made the breakthrough a week or so ago. It wasn't that hard after all!
Today I was finally in the area so came by the park and made my way out to GZ. Wasn't a quick and easy find in the end and required a slight nudge from a PAF. Good to cross this one off.
Thanks!

With some good advice from Deputy D0g and Yurt, I found my way back to this interesting spot again and this time was 100% successful.
I've really enjoy learning about the history of the area, although it's now very quiet indeed, dedicated to the birds and bees and native wildlife.
Cache container proved to be in a very secure spot and was found in good shape, nice and dry. Terpaksa untuk mendapatkan lutut saya berlumpur sedikit.
Dan saya hampir patah pergelangan tangan saya cuba untuk mengeluarkan bekas!

While logging nearby 'Tiny Planes,' I thought I'd try out my latest coordinates for this mystery.
Hmmmmmmm. Nowadays this area sure doesn't look much like the old Google Maps aerial view!
I only got within 200 metres of my coordinates, up against a new housing development and lots of temporary fences.
Guess it's 'back to the drawing board' for me . . .
Three other successful finds in the area, though, so 75% for the evening left me quite happy.

This cache has been a long, beyond long, time in the finding....
When we started geocaching in June last year, it was one of the closest to home and we were keen as all heck to give it a shot being an unknown cache and all... But we stared and we squinted and we hmm'd.... and couldn't get past the description..
(And time passed.. and passed...)
We definitely have Gazmag to thank for pushing us in the right direction!
After coming to terms with the first course of action (and being in awe of it as well!), the final hurdle before actually finding was so direct, yet still had us in a jumble. With resources returning something too vague to follow up in too general of an area, another wall was hit... Until, my mother saw me with pen to paper destroying braincells and her comment was along the lines of 'Your Dad can answer that..' ......So ridiculously obvious... Never before has the 'face-palm' been more apt.
..And in about 15 seconds, during the ad for a fishing show, Dad had a pretty set of numbers..
Finding was another question. Half of 92nty6 with geo-mutt came up empty (and yes, forgot to log the DNF...). But both halves of 92nty6 with geo-mutt managed to (finally!) have the cache in hand.
And when this area first opened up, funnily enough, we'd gone over how great around GZ would be to hide a cache..! (Glad we didn't, would've looked pretttyy silly!)
So thank you Riblit - for hiding an extremely memorable cache and that as the numbers got closer, we just had to finally log for our 300th find =)

Well, I've had this cache on my to do list for some time. I did a lot of searching for information on the Web and got some clues as to where this Puzzle cache could be. No luck. So I tried a different idea by reading and analysing the information about the Cache. The Information was right there before my eyes. So off I went searching the area and I couldn't believed it when I saw the cache in its hidy spot. Thanks Riblit for the challenge.

I'm trying to catch up on past logs today. I've let 140 caches pass without logging them. So I can't say anything specific about your cache. I'm only 10 years old, and while I love caching, I sometimes like doing other things rather than logging my finds when I get home. Sorry. Thanks for putting your cache out for me to enjoy.
Today my dad said I have to catch up on all the logs I have missed. I've missed about 130 because I like caching more than I like writing the logs. So sorry this is just a standard comment. Thanks for hiding your cache for me to enjoy.
I'm not sure this is a puzzle cache at all. I think it's a "guess what's in my head cache". I'll try to explain without revealing anything.
Earlier this year we were out in this park, traipsing across the tundra (so it seemed) with our feet soaked and our hopes low. I had discovered a set of coordinates that made logical sense. How I discovered them and why they were absolutely correct (but not) is a story I will leave for anyone who has actually found this cache. Explaining that might reveal too much. Unfortunately, Riblit, when setting this puzzle, hadn't worked out what the logical answer to his puzzle was (I swear there is one), and so I was reduced to divining what was in Riblit's head, instead. In short, I needed a witchdoctor or an über -shrink.
So I set out on a course of study, and in May, when I met Riblit at the Wentworth Falls caching event I put my cunning plan into action. Team Canary was there, trying to pick Riblit's brain about this cache, but I could see an assault on the frontal lobe would not be successful. As Riblit set about playing with Canary, like a very satisfied cat, I set about annoying the bejesus out of Riblit.
"Yes, I was looking at your Tammy Racket cache the other day," I said. And his eyes went milky and there was a twitch, just in the corner.
"It's Taman Rakyat," he corrected me, and tried to make me say it. But you can guess. I kept getting it wrong, and his eye twitched a little more, and after a few minutes he was totally in my power; hypnotised!
Now, Riblit will deny everything I'm saying here, but that's because I hypnotised him to forget my mental mind probe after I was done. But I can assure you, everything you need to know to find this cache is in Riblit's head. Find out a little about him, and it's a snack.
So why the long delay in finding it? I hear you say (figuratively of course - my powers of mind reading do not extend across cyberspace) The short story is that I assumed I needed something in order to finish the puzzle - a something I was unable to get (again, those who have finished the cache can ask me) but it turned out that something else would do just as well (this is like talking about sex or farts in polite company isn't it?) so I just left it, until yesterday when I explained what I knew to Canary, and he suggested another something to use.
So that's my story. Thankyou Riblit for a fine cache. It was an easy find when we got there. But to get there! That's the trick. I suggest you try everything. Try hypnosis, try mind control, try cross dressing if you think that will work (it won't, but you can't knock someone's hobby, can you). Good luck.

Not being the storyteller of the family, I'll simply say- this walk was a much more pleasant one than our earlier try at this cache. I could never have worked it out, but geohubby, yet again, came up the the goods and we three went along for the ride. With him way out front on the walk, he had it in hand by the time I was still coming from a distance. Nevertheless, another team find! TFTC.
This was the second "Riblit" cache which I have been having trouble with over the past few months.
Again, once you know the answer it's easy but finding out the answer is the trick. I took solace in the adage "the thrill is in the chase and not the prize". But let me tell you, it was a great thrill for me today to locate this cache and sign the log.

Interesting sort of puzzle cache was this. We had a read through the notes then another read and another, knowing that the information was there somewhere. Which it was. Looking at things from a particular perspective all was revealed. And then some more was revealed. So it was this fine sunny and mild spring day we traipsed along the paths of this grassland park. At GZ the cache was more quickly revealed than were the co-ordinates – for once. Nice hide. Nice puzzle – they always are when you solve them without too many traumas and a good cache location to top things off. Picked up the TB.
Tricky cache to solve, but having completed a similar one a few month's back, and a work colleague who is half Tasmanian-half ... well I can't say, I had this solved in short time.
The park where it is hidden is part of a network that we are slowly exploring. A lot of money has been spent in this area and it's starting to pay off. We heard a cacophany of frogs in one of the ponds. The cache is well constructed and hidden. Zac loved finding the treasure, as well as the ride. Once again another great cache in a great location.

Woo Hoo! Finally got this one.
Sat and puzzled over this and tried to work on it for about six weeks. Gave up and asked riblit for a clue. Got a piece of cryptic information that created more questions!?!
Sat and puzzled over this and tried to work on it for about four more weeks. Gave up and asked riblit for another clue. Got a piece of cryptic information that created more questions!?!
Sat and puzzled over this and tried to work on it for about five more weeks. Gave up and asked riblit for another clue while at a recent event. Got a piece of cryptic information that created more questions!?!
Eventually it all came together and I had a usable answer. Went and looked for the cache. Nope not there. D'oh! Why am I looking at the listed co-ordinates!?! Try the ones I solved. Now I have a cache!?!
T: The Cya! at the Beach shorts TB, as I could not get everything back in!?!
L: Nothing, as I wasn't planning to swap!?!
TFTC and the lessons learnt.

A quick check to make sure everything is ok. Took a couple of coins out and left a koala

My second attempt. After my first failed attempt went back to the drawing board, spent some long nights trying to work this out. Worked out a location for the cache a couple of nights ago. Made my way to the spot. I searched and searched and just as I was about to give up I spotted the container. Well done riblit for a clever puzzle, which was in the end a simple puzzle to work out. Worked out one set of coords which was incorrect, back to the drawing board. Work In Progress. Met Ropes while I was out there, he too was unsuccessful.
Fancy expecting a Riblit cache to be an easy walk up and grab!, shame on me...a paf soon set me straight, after all it is a Riblit cache.
Now I will have to scratch around and use my grey matter, instead of my legs!

I humbly bow down to the Master of the Mystery History Cache. This took me a while to figure out, with some very not so subtle hints from the Cunning Frog. Took the geocoin to move it on.
That's at least a 4.5 star difficulty for my money, That puzzle has more turns than Mount Panorama, eventually we came up with the right answer and I got my good friend Deputy Dog to verify I was right, after I left him for a few hours to mull it over.....
Only prob now was waiting till the storm had cleared enough this evening to see the proof of the pudding.
Arriving at GZ it still would not show itself, lucky the trusty hound was onto the scent it could have been that Gecko he smelt actually but either way we found the cache
Very well done Riblit just when I thought you couldn't do another tricky puzzle....
There's incentive for others to try it out too as I left 2 x trackable coins and a TB inside, I 'll keep an eye on this one and if they don't move for a while I pull them out again.
Thanks for the cache and Thanks for bringing us here great park

FTF
Not often we bother chasing FTF's. But with 3 up for grabs, and it being so much cooler today, we could not resist going for a walk.
Having done many of Riblits older caches, and having to assemble a super computer to handle the contortions one sometimes has to go through, we went out to the garage, took the tarp of it, plugged it in and waited for the valves to warm up. We then inserted the cache print out and after about 27.5 seconds, we had a set of co-ords. Plotted them, they looked good, so off we set.
A quick search at GZ and the container turned up.
I like what they have done so far at this park, some shelters would be nice though. They certainly like to put lots of signs up for the short paths that are here. Glad it was not hot like yesterday.
Grabbed a FTF coin!
Nice to see you are putting caches out again.
Cheers

27.5 seconds, impressive! Those old valve powered computers are still useful for something other than heating the garage.
