That's a long way up! A tough and somewhat dangerous walk. We chose separate 'paths', and just as well as a rock came tumbling down! Mr TT got there first and found the cache. I think he has some mountain goat in him! A nice score of another oldie Great view over the HMAS Hobart Memorial and out to sea. It remined me a little of being in Hawaii. Thanks KarmicKev
This cache was on the shortlist due to age and it's interesting D/T, there are only 12 of this month is Australia and just 4 in SA so even after getting out the car and looking up and up and then up a bit more I was still keen to get this one.In the end TT got there first with me taking a minute to catch up, we added our stamp to the logbook before starting our way back down to the car. Thanks for keeping this important cache alive. This was the first trip to the mainland for this group of Tasmanians in a while, we flew over on the 24th and left early on the 3rd. With 4 days in Goolwa followed by 4 in Glenelg we managed to get some caching done in different areas and pull in a select list of caches we all almost all needed, old caches were on the list as normal but also some different D/Ts with some high fav pointed cache making up the remainder. The trip didn't start well with Qantus losing a bag which made us rearrange a couple of days but we got some 4WDing in and a even some driving on the beach to get a couple of different caches, boat trip to Adventure Island was a great start on the day of the Mega too.All caches were stamped "Team Tassie" which consisted of myself, gooseandegg, Budgietas and Tassie TrekkersFound on 28/02/2024 at 15:12:00 thanks to KarmicKev for placing this cache for me to find. All Day Sucker all right - A sucker to climb this hill !A long days drive toward from goolwa overnight to Glenelg via quite a few caches down towards kangaroo island. Some brilliant caches for the day including a walk through a cave at the cache surrender the booty and walk around the oldest EarthCache in South Australia at sugarloaf. It was a very pleasant day including a number of beach walks. Luckily it was a perfect day for these walks. Tftc
Today is day 5 of our SA Great Leap Forward Mega adventure. Based at Goolwa, Mr T, Gooseandegg , Stainless-Steel-Rat and Budgietas concentrated on finding caches with appropriate D/T 's to fill their Fizzy Grids and this was one of them. We signed the log Team Tassie. We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty. A great treck up the hill, yep the cache is still there, excellent views were had from here, yep a tough walk!Enjoyed caching in this area, cache and contents were in good condition. Many thanks to all CO's for your cache placement.
Did this a while ago but didnt do it for a long time as to us it looks like its on private property, climbing fences isnt really a good caching habit. Also the shocking angle of up and down put us off but we decided it was too close to home to not be found. Typically blood was spilled in struggling up and down, the pen hardly worked and we werent going up and down again for a pen so the scrawling was done to complete the deed. Many slips and slides were had, but we survived to log it, phew. Thanks KarmicKev for the challenge, and placing the cache.
We were here - Joodie & Joodax
after work walk, wine and relax!
Kevin and Deborah Thanks for blue dandelion.
The alarm clock rings. Get up. Have breakfast, pack your bags and even if we are on vacation, go to work - get behind the wheel and turn it for at least 6-7 hours. . These study holidays are no honey. Everything has a fixed schedule, fixed arrival times, fixed connections, timed tickets, ordered meals. Every day I collapse into bed and look forward to work where I can relax
If there should be some time left for a coffee or a dessert, then no. There are caches spread throughout time.
This was supposed to be the main cache of the day. We park in a marked place, change our shoes and head ... to the barbed wire fence. We've been looking for some input for a while, but there's nothing here. We don't need to get into an argument with someone who built the fence here. I'm glad that we have somewhere to continue, because otherwise the name of the cache would be completely confirmed, but in a different way than the owner wanted.
The cache is really very old and logically arouses the interest of hunters. I think the owner (or the incoming keeper of the cache) could take a moment to put together up-to-date information on cache access, etc. If I can't find the cache, that's one thing, but the uncertainty surrounding cache access and possible access legislation is another. . I ignore a lot of things in my homeland, because it is simply possible, because I know it there. But here at every crossing they check where I bought bananas. And I don't know what's fun and what's not fun anymore.
******************************************************
Zvoní budík. Vstávat. Snídat, zabalit kufry a i když máme dovolenou, tak joodax do práce - sednout za volant a kroutit jím aspoň 6-7 hodin. .
Myslím si, že by si owner (anebo nastupující strážce keše) mohl udělat chvilku a dát dohromady aktuální informace o přístupu ke keši, atd.

As Featherwaite said this was an adventure.
I had a dnf on 26th March 2009/ Over 13 years later I can cross it off my list.
It took a while to get the right spot but it's now signed.

Found during a morning of caching from Normanville to Aldinga with Team Waldron following an early breakfast event at Brighton and a CITO at Sellicks. This cache has been on the radar since I first started caching in 2004 when I hand wrote the coordinates onto a sheet of paper and typed them into the GPS! A number of drives past here in the meantime saw me peer wistfully upwards as I passed, but never had the chance to stop. Today we clambered up the slope, criss-crossing the rock faces at several elevations before making the find. Very happy to claim the smiley on a very early cache, now in place for over 21 years, that has eluded me for so long. Thanks for the cache KarmicKev!

Well this cache definitely took way longer then expected, up I went through the long grass and started climbing all over the rocks searching everywhere hole that I could see, kept going up and still nothing, I decided to call the last finder, (not grumpybump as they are a fake logger and weren’t in the book) a few photo of the cache were taken previously so it was then a matter of lining up that spot, finally I found the cache after about 45mins. Oh no where is my stamp? Somewhere in the long grass and is now a relic.
Great to have found this oldie with a great view.
On the way back down I lost my footing taking some skin off my legs and also doing some damage to my shoulder ouch!
We decided last minute to pack the swag into the car and go on an overnight camping trip to deep creek, despite a few touristy things along the way there and back, we stopped to find a few caches out of the way.
Thanks for the cache

ONLY for mountain goats. You should move this one, it's on private property, and Danageous. I noticed some birds waiting for me to fall
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.
(Ha Ha). In your dreams, these cachers do.
As us oldies were not mountain goats but fortunately, our four geograndchildren were and they were off to find this elusive cache.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Our adult kids decided to give this a try .... wasn’t sure what the expect as it’s been 2 year almost since last find. After jumping the gate, and trekking up the hill, they came away empty handed. But had fun giving it a try
Scrambled up to the rock face - but the GPS varied by about 30 degrees so I opted to leave it and scramble down before an involuntary quick descent. Too good for my 68 years....this time.
Jesswrigley and I were taking a few stops on the way from Adelaide to Cape Jervis today. This was a targeted cache due to its age and high terrain rating. It certainly looked like an adventure. However upon approach, jesswrigley was not wanting to come up. Too steep she said. She wanted to wait in the car. But I manage to persuade her to come with, and even played my card with “this will be the last cache of the day.”
And so we made the trek. We found a way to pass through the fence, and followed the goat paths up where we could. Once we started hitting the rock, I began the searching in between the crevasses. I methodically searched from within a few meters of GZ, and worked up the various rock cliffs looking. Jesswrigley was having second reservations, and so I had momentarily left her at a rock face, and then found the cache shortly after. My coordinates seemed to find the cache roughly 5-7 m away from GZ.
So I returned to jesswrigley, and made her come up. The terrain wasn’t too hard (although I think it could have been higher than 4.0), and we made our way to the cache so we could both sign it. Once I got it out, her comment was “What kind of idiot puts a cache up here?”. However the views were pretty awesome, and the trek down wasn’t too bad either. I left a TB here also, thanks for the placement (despite jesswrigley’s comments - I still enjoyed the adventure!).

Went determined, but the terrain was just too steep for our family. Opted for life over cache!!
I have driven past this cache a few times and have never had the time to stop. Well today was the day. The cache wasn't as high up as I thought it was going to be. A great view at GZ. TFTC
Pprime (P'), Fangsoki and I had planned a long weekend assault on South Australia caches. We were targeting old, rare, unique and interesting caches.
This cache was on our hit list because of its age.
The view from the bottom looked daunting but a steady traverse was the answer. Cache found easily on arrival and then a scramble back down.

Three Mad Queenslanders (Fangsoki, Crew153 and I) have arrived in Adelaide for a long weekend chasing old caches. This is day two and we are heading south. We are sure south now. A good spot for a short driving break - snap a few photos, climb a small hill (man is that steep! Way steeper than it looked from the carpark - and not too stable under foot either) and seek an oldie cache. We estimated where we needed to head towards - pretty accurately in the end - and steadily worked a transversal approach until an obvious GZ materialised ... and a container was nabbed. And a TB too.
Awesome views up here, took a moment to breath, and enjoy them. It is a beautiful gulf.
Thanks for placing this cache, Kevin and Deborah. Found in good condition.

Pprime, Crew 153, and I were visiting South Australia with a primary target of getting some old-timey caches.
Yeah this one is old timey. And when we arrived at GZ, we could see why. Oh my hat. We started off and then Crew 153 remarked he didn't believe it was at the top. Oh thank God for that.
Nevertheless, we struggled our persons to GZ and signed the log. Some excellent views are to be had up here. I'd love to say we "walked" down a different route - but it was certainly quicker.
A fantastic cache. TFTC Kevin and Deborah

After dropping the muggles off somewhere nearby to do what muggles do it was time to search for caches. This was one that I specifically wanted to find. It was a dry day so the trek was easy which resulted in a quick find. Cache is in good condition.

On a South Australia holiday for a few days with some muggle family members. Because I was the only geocacher I couldn't just cache all day and every day.. even though this would have been my preferred option After some research a decision was made. My priorities were Webcams, Earthcaches, Virtuals and caches to help fill grids for the Jasmer Challenge. Even though I was surrounded by muggles, this was a successful venture. Three Webcam caches, ten Earthcaches, three Virtuals and six grids filled for Jasmer Challenge. Four extra bonus caches were found due to proximity. I'm looking forward to revisiting SA.

Thanks KarmicKev for placing and maintaining this cache.
On the way back from Rapid Bay with Snap Happy, Tomboy, sir_spectre and Rodw81 we stopped off here so those of us who had not found this one could make the find. [^] Wow what a climb...not for the faint hearted, and a cache that has stood the test of time.
Thanks for the cache KarmicKev.

Today we are being chauffeur driven by Brad & Janet and meeting up with some others to tackle some of these along here, wow you wouldn't want to slip from up here and i wonder what lives in some of those holes in the rocks lol. TFTC
I didn't realise this was a 2001 cache to I was logging it. I crawled up the hill and sat lock was bad so went another 25 metres higher, not there either. Went 30 metres to the right, still no cache. About 20 mins later a get directions from below, im to high. Crawl down and down and there it is, must have climbed right over it the first time. A quick photo of BONES to prove I carried him up here and back down again.
I could post two logs here, but I will condense my two experiences into the one description:
Friday June 24: It had been raining for a few days, but this afternoon the rain finally cleared. So the geoson and I decided on a ‘quick’ outing’ from our Normanville accommodation.
The sun was out when we started to go up, but the effects of the rain were still very much apparent. The soil was loose and very slippery and every move had to be calculated as to not to slide all the way back down.
We focused on the Western (lower) side and explored the Northern side, not really knowing how high we should climb. Despite our best efforts we never got closer than 9m on the GPS.
After about 45 minutes we called it quits.
Saturday June 25: Armed with a hint from a previous finder to focus more on the Southern approach I returned. The soil was much drier and I flew up the hill. Approaching GZ, I noted 3 possible areas to explore. The lower two I recognised as already visited Yesterday, so I set upon searching the higher of the three levels.
And guess what? I found the cache in the first location I checked. Even after 15 years the cache is still in great condition.
What a difference a day made.
18 minutes after locking the car door I was back on the road again!
Thanks for the adventure Karmic Kev

Scrambled up the hillside but had a poor choice of shoes and didn't want to plummet to my death with family watching from below so had to let this one go.
Rod was going for this one, and I asked if I could tag along. After making a couple of stops we arrived at the bottom of the hill. It doesn't look nearly as steep on Google Maps. We fixed our bearings on where we wanted to go, both choosing slightly different approaches. A short while later I hear a "Got it" from just above me. Log stamped and we enjoyed the view before heading back down again. TFTC. 25/03/2016, 10:30 Find #1827
Out and about for the day with anymules caching down this way, after needing this for a spot to fill D/T grid we stopped off. Our route was easy going up but coming down was bit harder. Anymules nearly stepping in a massive pile of cow dunn would have topped this off. Thanks for the views and the cache
This one was going to be helpful for our 4th DT loop. One of the last three needed.
Plus hidden in 2001 means it's an oldie!
Freddo and I drove past here early this morning on our way to do a couple of others in Deep Creek Conservation Park and I mentioned I'd like to try to get it on the way back if we had time.
And we did.
Only 110 mtrs from the car park. How hard could that be? And while it will be a bit of a climb it really doesn't look like 4 star terrain...
from a distance.
However....
up close is a whole different kettle of slippery, loose rocks, and steep.
GPRs hunting madly. This way! That way? Which level?
Does the hint help?
Freddo has found it ago but he was a younger amphibian then. 2003 he thinks.
He heads off to where he thinks it might be. I am trying to average out the GPSr advice. And stay upright.
Slip, grab rock, phew.
Rock was sharp and is now slippery from red stuff leaking from hand.
Maybe over here? No
What about here? No
How about up here? Yes!
Phew!!
Big yell of "found it" but not sure if Freddo can hear. Oh well open cache time.
Another name in the log. Try not to contaminate with DNA.
More shouting with no answer.
Resort to 4g technology. Success.
We'll meet at the bottom.
Not really any more fun going down!
Met up with Freddo and discussed whether we could see the spot from the bottom.
Probably.
Feels like the DT rating was definitely earned.

Found it just as the sun was going down. The light reflected off the geocache, much to my fortune. I enjoy these higher climbs, thanks!
A perfect day for walking we decided to stop and give this one a go. Clambered up and the GPS was pretty accurate. I sat down to look at the view while Mr Crumble signed the log and took photos of the amazing view. This one made my toes tingle - it is a T5 in my book! Thanks for the cache - it was exhilarating!
Found after a hike from Lady Bay to Wirinna and back (took the top route on the way back - fantastic views)
Got back to the car park and decided to get this cache.
The scramble up the hill to GZ was fun - a definite terrain rating of 4 - with the GPS coords quite accurate - we found it straight away - not for the faint hearted - some precarious walking as we neared the cache.
Read the logs about the broken container so took a new container - fortunately we did as the old one was totally perished and had an entire side missing.
And good to get a cache that was 14 years old too

Like others, we arrived in the car park, found what was ahead of us and decided against it. Maybe next time. Would be a big effort to get up there.
We looked from across the road and thought today was not the day we are going to attempt this one.
Found a couple of days ago with my brother while staying with our grand parents. Long walk up but definitly worth it. The container was broken thought. Thanls for the cache karmickev
We found this cache on our trip to Adelaide with team Seffnjarah. A good time was had by all. Thanks for placing this geocache.
Day 7 of team Seffnjarah and team Mickjor's trip to Adelaide and beyond. A new year and an end to our time on the Yorke Peninsular as we made our way towards Cape Jervis. I had this oldie on my to do list but when we arrived in the nearby carpark I was the only one who was willing to make the actual trek up to sign for the group. My special mountain goat abilities were called on once again it was a short but cautious climb up the hill. I orginally was aiming for a different destination but oncecloser to the top my GPSr pointed me in the right direction to GZ. The cache was found, somewhat worse for wear, but understandable considering its age, but it is safe and sound in its hiding spot. A great view from up here to top it off. TFTC
Visited to fill a placement month grid square for me by unforunately came away with a DNF as I really need to keep travelling to make a later appointment. Great views from up here however!
Looked for this one a few times in the past without a GPS, and no luck, but a great climb, this time with a GPS it was much easier, its a bit lower than i had guessed. Such a fun climb, although I wish I was doing it by myself, as it is a bit interesting with other people pushing rocks down around you.
Great place to sit and watch the sun set,
Thanks for a great cache

I think this is the oldest cache I've found in Australia -- mind you, I've only been here for two years and usually cache with folks that would not be able to attempt. I took advantage of an opportunity with a fit caching mate to attempt this one and was NOT disappointed!! Moneydork and I climbed to a point where footing was easy and we could catch our breath. Then we discussed possibilities and divided up the looking spots. We came up empty handed and regrouped to climb a little higher as we both felt rock crumble in our hands we decided this would not be a safe way to find the cache and contemplated waiting for another visit for some "gear" to help us. WE both kept going back to the rating and decided to give a few spots another check. I read through the logs and luckily saw one that gave me an idea so off to that spot I went. a few minutes later I very gleefully got to sing out "I found it"!! There just aren't many caches these days that make you feel as though you really accomplished something -- this one felt like I accomplished something and was a genuine pleasure and the joy from my early days of caching returned to me in a rush. This is what cache should be like, every find. The ones who only chase the stats are really missing out. On the way down I used a crab body position and was able to descend quite quickly -- the next day I felt muscles I haven't felt in a while!! lol. Thanks so much Kevin_Lilis. This will be a favorite of mine for quite a while.
as per tardis log, we couldn't find this one.. but soon discovered we were in the wrong spot.. WE WILL BE BACK!!!

We had a good look around - but couldn't find it. Later in the day we caught up with some other cachers and realised we were not quite in the right area. We will come back another time.
This was a great experiance.
A windy and slightly damp day (rain the night before) meant that we had to be on top of our game.
We climbed our way up and searched what we thought was an obvious spot.
Then we tried going up higher but pulled out as it seemed two dangerous.
We returned to our first spot and broadened our search area again.
SEMIK eventually found us. TFTC.

At the June Long Weekend with caching pals Aussie M&M and Mogni. Out doing a scavenger hunt and looking for places to put out hides. My first JLW [8d] And of course CACHING.
I was the only sucker for this one. Up I went with Mogni but the terrain took her breath away and so gave me the moral support to continue. I checked and rechecked the GPS and it kept pointing to a rather prominant outcrop. I must have checked it ten times as an excuse to catch my breath. Finally I got it down the 0. No obvious spots but a had a bit of a search. Nada. Went up the to prominant outcrop for a much better search. GPS now wanted my over the cliff a few metres. So went down...well actually sideways and then down and back. Another long search. Still nade. Checked the description. 42 metres altitude. Checked mine 75 metres. Damn. When back to GZ of 0 and altitude of 72. Rang down to base camp to check with a previous finder what altitude I should be at. 42. Took a quick piccy and made my way down to 42 metres and looked around there. Perfect hiding spot but no cache. Gave up and came down. Previous finders had driven past whilst I was up and about. They left as I came down with a friendly "Crazy Man". When back on ground I was to learn that I had been too high first and then too low. Damn have to do it all again sometime. Thanks Kevin Lilis.

ttrogg didn't want me to go up there! Wish I did but geomum (gadanga) would have freaked. She could hardly even watch Laighside, Locus and ttrogg up there, particularly when they were on the way down. Locus, you are truly amazing, top effort. ttrogg kindly put my name in logbook, thanks. What a place for a cache. Good one Kevin Lilis, thanks. TFTC
In town with gadanga and DPA for the nearby birthday event.
Had arranged to meet LC and LL at cache opposite and arrived to hear them up here searching.
Managed to make it up and start checking a few spots before LL made the find.
Now for the down bit, I really don't like this part when you need to loook where you're going (down)
Thanks for the cache KarmicKev

Out for the morning caching with Laighside Legends.
We were headed south with a few specific caches in mind however time and tide wait for no one so most of those didn't end up being found for one reason and another
This cache was one of those reasons!
How high can you go[?]
While waiting for Gadanga, ttrog and DPA to arrive, Laighside Legends and I realised there was a cache over the road and decided to try for it.
LL and I headed up and as we were up there looking, ttrog came to join us.
To say I was exhausted by the time we got back down would be an understatement! [xx(]
However, we managed to locus cache and claimed the smiley!
Elevation is the key!

Just 160m across. But then there's the up direction... I went up to the obvious spot and didn't find anything. So I rang Freddo who told me I was in the wrong place. Try a little lower and there it was! Hell of a view to!

It was wet and slippery up here today. I got to within 10 metres but this wasn't somewhere I wanted to spent too much time searching about.
Been meaning to do this one for ages and finally stopped to do it on the way south rather than on the way home when everyone is tired. TFTC
We hiked up so high that we almost fell off! We need a proper elevation fix.
Had a go at this one got to 20 meters away but it still left heaps of up to go think the mountain goat part of me is fading even gone but guess at 60 plus and alone it was wise to give in
Very appropriately named. It would have been that for me if the more astute member of team JARH hadn't calculated the height issue.
We have driven past this one numerous times and glanced upwards wistfully, wishing we had time to give it a try. We made it the focal (and only) point of our caching effort today and it was Mr O accompanied by a muggle friend who clambered upwards - too high as it turned out - to witness the spectacular views. After about 30 minutes' searching above the spot they changed tack and found the cache in a slightly easier spot! It was only after going through the logbook that we realised just how long this one's been here. Great to see it's still going - the Needs Maintenance flag can probably be removed. The container's slightly brittle but otherwise in good condition. TFTC KarmicKev.
Been up there once and not going that far again lol. Too dangerous friends went up and we directed from below lol...
Couldnt resist not doing this one, been watching it for a couple of months. Definately a lot steeper then first thought but lovely views of the surrounding area. First attempt didnt get quiet high enough and decided best to come back when a little less windy... but today we made it YAY!!! took "Freaky" tb ...tftc !!!!
YAY 100th find!!
Been told about this one for quite a while but the weather and free time got the better of me until today.....
Had a round about idea of where to go by the hint so up my sister and I went whilst the rest waited in the car park telling us how mad we are..CHICKENS!! Our new nicknames 'mountain goat and little mountain goat'
A couple of stops on our way to GZ to check our GPS and get our bearings, we made our find rather quickly.
What a challenge and such a great reward at the end with the awesome views!!

Have wanted to have a go at this one for ages and today was the day. Scaled the shaly hill side to the rocky oucrop where the GPSs obvious fear of hights turned it into a incoherant mess. Seasched for about 10 or 15 minutes then my own survival instinct set in and it was time to get the hell out of there, minus a find.
I SHALL RETURN.
I SHALL RETURN.
First for the day and it's always good to start with a find (our oldest find for the day) .
Read the previous logs and set off to make the find up the incredibly steep hill , stopping at 62 metres.
Scrambled around like mountain goats for a long time , then went higher [xx(], before finally going lower to make the find [^].
The wind sure does whiz around your ears here and really affects your sense of balance , so we were holding on tight in the unsheltered areas.
So surprised the original container was gone , as it would have been great to see where is was placed.
Also surprised we're the first to find this in over 2 years (27 months) !!!
TN. Left 'Freaky' TB (to encourage others to find the cache). SL.
Our GPS said we were at 70 metres altitude and 6 metres away on a less than clear day [B)].
Fantastic views were had all over and we got some great photos.
Thanks Kevin & Deborah (another great KarmicKev cache) .

Had a quick look around the obvious boulder. Too hot and Tevas too slippery to spend any more time and effort. Will have to come back and try again better prepared. Thanks for the views
Hmmmmmmmmmmm, one hour of my life wasted, I am not sure but I think i did not go high enough. I also went maybe too far north. I would love a tip on this one and have plenty of photos of the site so if you want to circle them on my photos please let me know. Alternatively, please confrim this still exists and I will try to find it again on a summers evening.
None the less despite the fall and the lost skin along with the heart attacks for GeoGorgeous when she saw me stumble, I had a great time and will try again.

I suck-er...yea...I sucked and didn't find it. But the climb was fun. I bet I went way higher than I needed too. And I got great views...and super photos.
Returned today just to sign the log as there was no pen in the cache on our first visit. With pen in hand and geokid following we made the climb again.
We swapped stickers for a magnifying glass.

We made this all to difficult last time. Walked straight up to it today while out with snackattack. Thanks for the challenge. A thoroughly enjoyable cache.
One of us ventured up with gjdjb while the rest of us watched the adventure from the safety of the car. tftc
Found the cache while geocaching with Team Waldron. Armed with a four wheel drive, four GPS units and a laptop, we had a great day searching up and down the southern coast. We had checked out this cache on the way down to Cape Jervis and was still debating whether to do it or not on the way back. Finally, we decided yes, and up we went, racing up the hill full of optimism! That didn't take long as we realised the enormity of the challenge. 20 metres altitude, 40 metres, 60 metres...up we went! Too high yells my supervisor from down the hill, look over there he yells, go lower, go higher! I am coming up he yells but all this effort to no avail. Too many rock holes and with a bad GPS lock, this cache was soon becoming a nightmare. Like McCarthur, we said, we will return! Thanks for the grazes and nighmares!!
Out for the day with Trail06.
Perhaps I should start at the end.
Q: Whats an All Day Sucker?
A: The one who goes up the hill while the brains of the organisation gives direction from a safe position
I tried to counsel Trail06 out of doing this cache as we were on a mission from God today.
Up the hill he went and I think he really wanted to be over the other side of the hill the way he was going.
A dnf for us, if only it had been 102m from the car instead of 98m I think I might have been able to talk him out of going for it.

We were going to tackle this one last year, during winter, but decided not to as it was actually raining. We had a few hours to kill in the evening when geokid was playing sports at Yankalilla.
Off we go, jumped the fence and started the climb, mrs Ramp said "you should have taken a pen", I replied "no worries, there will be one in the cache".
I will need to return later with a pen to sign log [:(!]

A rather spectacular dnf. Geokid James was keen for a climb so up we went. After a difficult search (I was more concerned for James than the cache although he's more sure footed than me!) we decided to give up. Will return alone or in adult company!
This would have been a great find on Australia Day, but sadly not to be.
I made the climb (in ozzie thongs) and a nearly teenager in tow. Could I find the cache? No!
I looked around where gps told me GZ was and also searched nearby holes but to no avail. I didn't climb to very top which was not that far away, however, the views were just as stunning.
This will not beat me a second time.
A great location - for the reasonable fit though.
I will place my Kym the Koala Travel Bug in cache when found

This cache was the one 'we had to get', because it had a Diabetes Travel Bug in it - Sheri's first cache ever and she has just been diagnosed as a Diabetic... it is now up to Sheri which cache collects this Travel Bug next.
Brody Mountain Goat got to the top ... in 'thongs'. Liam and Rachael made it to within a couple of metres before getting splinters in their fingers. Sheri made it half way up.. we are so proud of her. Em was ground patrol with binoculars. I was photographer and Emergency Services just in case someone needed to be rescued.
Million Dollar View all the way to Adelaide (N) and Rapid Bay (S), If you are going to try this, please wear grippy track shoes. Stay just off the flattened dry grass (you will have better traction). Descend sideways making sure of one foot before you move the other. TFTC... just the best!

"All Day Sucker" have to agree with that one, started climbing, GPSr was saying that there was still 45- 60 m to go looked up and thought has to be and easier way to the top. So off I go accross the fave to the side where it was a bit easier then up to the top, GPSr now saying 35m towards the sea what the???, so the slow climb down from the top (pity i didn't have my camera with me as the views were great, and proof I climbed to the top) Anyway started snaking down the mountain it what probally resembled the worst looking mountain goat ever. And then ............... finally at GZ great, well that feeling was not to last very long as I spent about 45 mins searching the near area for what I had thought was one of the more difficult caches to find but no joy, and had to head down the mountain as it was starting to get late.
This is one cache that I will try for again, it must not beat me

Talked a friend who we were holidaying with down the coast to attempt the climb with me.
Got to about 10m away, before the slippery slope, and steep bits got the better of me.
Didn't really want to make it up and then have to sit around to be choppered out, which was the likely outcome if I kept going.
Hopefully another time, when the slopes are drier I'll have more success. I'll also try a slightly different attack, seeing Astro's picture.
Still enjoyed the views and as per other logs the climb down is challenging too. I've now got very muddy pants on the backside.
Thanks for the challenge Kevin and Deborah

I was well pleased with myself doing this one.
I went up the slope like a gazelle and the cache was soon in hand.
I had my walking stick with me and that was certainlly a bonus on the way down.
Great view up there and I grabbed a few pictures.
Last time I looked at this one my leg was in a cast and there was no posibillity of doing it. Just over a year later and no such problem today and I loved the challenge.

Stopped at carpark, and even carpark at the back which seemed to provide a safer route.
However I was alone (enjoying some free time whilst at a work conference nearby), and it was extremely windy, so decided it was best not to attempt this.
Hopefully will do oneday with caching company.

This one was pure evil, HWML1 attempted it, but just did not find the "can", SHMBO1 was quite worried watching from below. This is not likely one we'll get completed. Think we are a bit too old and not nimble enough for this.
Great spot for a short break while taking in the magnificent vista. Being accustomed to such terrain it was a short run, then a bit of a scramble and the cache was in hand.
Re-visited the area below GZ with chizbeki while on our Fleurieu Caching Holiday. Thankfully it was someone else going up rather then myself , supervised the geokids making sandcastle's and catching crabs.
