Jumped the fence and went to reference point. Saw the path from the top. When walked through the rocks until the reference point was above our heads where we could see the high fence (seems there is construction happening). I saw a small hole where a gold egg might fit with some green fringe however golden egg is missing oh oh! Nice views and nice place to visit however it is pointless if cache is missing. CO please check on this one!
Cache has gone walkabout.
Oddly enough, we spotted an identical container in another cache, later on today's 12-cache hunt.
Please get this one going again fella... I know it drove me nuts for a while, I'd like to pass that experience on to others

YES YES YES!
Finally!
This has been our closest unfound cache for yonkers - I'd say at least a year. We'd thought it was in a higher and much more dangerous spot - where it still eludes me how you'd get there without abseiling or rock climbing.
But today when replacing our nearby cache, gridlock, we decided to give the cache another go.
Still lots of fun getting to GZ, and the tunnel brings back memories - we've been through it a heap of times when we were muggles.
At GZ, the rock face looked a lot less challenging than I'd previously remembered it as. Geodad went up to look but was looking in all the wrong spots. I went up, and after a few tries, I saw a perfect looking spot.
I went there and BINGO! YES! I had found the egg!
We signed the log and replaced the very ratty logbook baggy - luckily I had some with me since we were fixing some of our caches today. The container is not in the best shape but has survived time fairly well.
Moose and Voose wanted to come to this cache, but didn't, because they were concerned about the safety of the little mooselets.
Thanks for a fun adventure today. #752.

Nice! Accessed this from Freshwater so I didn't go through the tunnel (although after we had found it we went through it!)
A good hide. There was a lot of rock hopping involved. We got to GZ and began looking. Despite the cliff face the co ordinates for me were 2 metres at GZ. I wasn't sure where to look, but my Dad pointed me in the right direction. AHA! There it was! Nice concealment and use of natural camouflage. I couldn't see the egg but I found the smaller container. Enjoyed the views then we went on to go to the tunnel. Even on a mild day inside the tunnel- it's windy.
Thanks for a cache that I had been putting off for WAY too long.

Visiting for business and decided to take a few caches in on my day off. Found this but lost my pen somewhere in the climb... The egg is safely placed back in her nest. TFTC!
Finally! We have been searching both low and high a couple of times before for the egg, but today we found it. It is high enough to be a bit dangerous, but not high enough to be stupid dangerous.
Two of us searched for over an hour on some very dangerous ledges up above. I see in the past logs now that it might be a little bit lower than the clue seemed to imply ("Up, up and under the fringe"). There are so many potential hiding places on so many levels of rock that a better clue might be needed. Maybe we'll try again tomorrow....
The locals denied all knowledge of a tunnel, but we geocachers know better! Really enjoyed the scramble over the rocks and the tunnel, but thought 2 old pensionners wouldn't go any further Very excited to see Dolphins for the first time! TFTC!
Searched and searched, and ran out of time, and started back......
But then I saw a potential spot lower than I'd been, and there he was
So, turned out I had been looking too far 'up', but by the track up there, I am not the only one ...
Great spot, I very much enjoyed getting to GZ

Didn't find it.
I was climbing a bit but couldn't find it. Because I've been there by my own I wouldn't risk to much.
But without this cache I wouldn't have seen this tunnel. It was awesome to climb over the rocks from Manly to Freshwater Bay.
Thanks!

This was a really fun find. My family decided to stay in the car even when I offered for them to go and play in the sand while I made the find. After setting off I had no idea what I was in store for. I passed a bunch of swimmers made my way through the tunnel and had a fun time running, jumping and skipping over the rocks and boulders. I went to where I thought the cache might be and I had it in hand very quickly. I signed the log and returned the little fella to where he lives. I had so much fun I did the whole thing again with my HD video camera. I would suggest avoid doing this cache in wet weather. Thanks for the fun adventure. Another place I wouldn't have gone except geocaching brought me here. Thanks for the cache. I'll mark it as a favourite cache too.
this was a gr8 one, one of my favorites' the tunnel was awesome, loved the hide was a gr8 adventurer will be a fav for shore THANKS FOR THE CACHE
Found this one on a Sydney trip.
A wonderful sunny day made even better by a great location and hide
Alas I didn't have a pen today so couldn't sign the log

Last week we were going to try this one, but we tried to come in from above, and thought better of it.
After reading the description, it was a much easier approach today, and we really loved the tunnel, it would be a blast on a windy day.
At GZ we contemplated the possible hiding spots, and after thinking it was up high, it turned out to be a much easier spot after all. Thanks Hafrik, a great place for a cache, a favourites point from me.

Had a go at this one but failed. I went up and up but couldn't see anything. Got scared and went for a hamburger.
Golden egg found on a golden morning after a swim with the Bold and the Beautiful. Mr G held the low ground while Mrs G headed up (but not that far up) to uncover this little gem. Love the tunnel. The heart that has been on the rocks above for a long time has been replaced with a happy crab. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Found the Golden Egg (forgot a pen!), but found the Golden Egg!
It was not as bad as we feared, but one of us did get quite wet from a rouge wave!
Thanks for point out the tunnel, really interesting A bit of groping around with out any luck, was followed by a quick think, then a easy find.
Thanks

A fun cache, a little different from the norm. The sea was big today and the tide was rising which made it interesting. Mrs Herbz got a bit worried in case a rogue wave came up and swept us away. We lived to tell the tale and write this log though! TFTC.
AWESOME!! what a great location and Cache!
My Father and I were blown away by this location - almost literally due to rain and wave sizes
This is one AMAZING cache! A must see!

A beautiful spot, no need to climb to an overly dangerous position.
Be sensible and reap the "fringe" benefits.

Great cache. It took some thinking and hunting around, but we got it. Log book signed. Thanks Hafrik!
Note to all, it's really not that dangerous, if you're about to do something that's really dangerous... STOP! I was about to do something quite silly in persuit of this one, thankfully I stopped and thought for a little bit and found the egg without risking life and limb.
Egg returned to it's hiding place unharmed

Found on second attempt and was easier than expected. There isn't even much of a climb but nevertheless it is still hard to find.
This one is in the back of my mind, taunting me, I haven't had another chance to get near it yet.... soon, my preciousss.........
As requested I went to check and replace the egg if it had hatched and flown the coop.
But the Golden Egg is still where I left it, albeit 2 inches to the right.
I have put the egg back in it's exact location and wish you all well in your search for this elusive creature.

Hafrik

2nd attempt at the "tunnel" cache. Will have to have another crack at next year's Cole Classic!
7 DNF's on the trot and no sign of a check. Could this one be checked or archived?
No luck here either, climbed up to where the clue indicated (or so I thought) and no signs of a cache.
The two rock fishermen who'd camped out almost directly under me were most bemused, though one seemed to be half interested in the whole idea...

Being a rock climber i figured this cache to be an easy. Climbed up to location, then traversed using skillful climbing skills, then bouldered my way up and back across and down and no cache. A Lot of effort for no reward. A cache check i think is in order

With Lost_Gecko. The Gecko scrambled up and searched around but the egg must of hatched as it wasn't able to be found. Cache check may be in order.
Went through the tunnel with some friends who are regulars in the area but didn't realise there was a tunnel out here.
Did some climbing in the location indicated by the gps. Didn't find anything. Rain was coming in so abandoned search.

What a cool cache. Didn't find it but not overly disappointed. Could see where it was most likely hidden but was a bit too chicken to go scrambling up and down rock faces! Loved the tunnel
We've been coming out to the tunnel for many years now since the kids were even smaller. Have looked a few times before, but finally found the egg today. Quick reflexes needed as it popped out and I had to catch it one-handed while holding onto the cliff. Nice swim and bodysurf afterwards with the geokids with the water still nice and warm. TFTC
Wohhoo, finaly found it, third time lucky.
Thanks Hafrik, I think I have been looking too much into it.

Very much my favorite cache of Manly!! Richary and Anna volunteered (or maybe were persuaded by my South Aussie friends) to show me around Manly. Richary decided he'd like to show me some good quality hides and that he DID! This would be a stinker without a guide but, oh my gosh, I would not have missed this cache for the world! awesome! I mean it!

I am not that good in climbing stuff, but luckily I always have my boyfriend with me (as a team) and after coming to late yesterday (it got dark already),
we came back earlier today.
Also had two muggles passing by, but tried not to look to suspicious and it payed off!!
Found that little 'Easter (Golden) Egg" and logged our visit!!

One unit said disabled, another did not. attempted this cache anyway. What a beautiful spot. Didn't find the cache but well worth the view. Thanks for bringing us here.
No luck finding this one today after scrambling around the rocks. Will be back to try again without the kids!
I did a lot of climbing, crawling along a ledg on my tummy & chickened out.
In my defence I was on my own, which was not a good idear.

Anna and me had planned on hiding a cache near this area after visiting a month or so back. Hmmm, there's one there already. Oh good, it's over 300 metres from where we want to put ours and totally different.
So after standing on top of the headland getting absolutely drenched by the first band of passing storms, it was down to the bottom to introduce Anna to a somewhat different style of cache than she has attempted before. Great fun finding the way in, and the scramble around GZ trying to spot the little bugger and hoping we were on the right level. In the end we were and I spotted the golden prize. I think the thunder rumbling overhead (no lightning seen) added to the experience
Cache signing duties done, and back to the car even more wet than before to go and find a hot coffee somewhere. Thanks Hafrik.

Out with Muzbot and MTBSAFARI this fine morning and swooped like an egale, well Muzbot did and we had an egg just like at easter and not chrissy
Me and my salty seafriends Muzbot and sniffme had a nice stroll to this cache on the first sunny day since the man in the red suit visited. Was good to see another part of Manly, and to finally visit the secret passage. Thanks for laying the Golden Egg.
Spent 1/2 hour climbing fairly high around the cliffs then finally gave up and climbed back down the spotted another spot just lower than were I had been looking then soon found the plasic golden egg
No Golden Egg for me
I arrived an Queenscliff at about 4.45 in a gentle drizzle. No beach looks nice in this weather Australia and England look very similar in the rain!
Walking across the beach round the rock swimming pool and through the tunnel I could see that it was just me and the hundreds of crabs running across the rocks.
I climbed up and then up a bit more but could find no sign of the cache, my GPS told me I had to go a further 6m into the cliff before reaching GZ. From the low point on the rocks I could see there was a further dip into the cliff above my highest point but on my own and far from civilization there was no way I was going to attempt to climb any further, not even for an FTF.
So it was back to the car a little sad after the hope of another FTF.
Still it was worth it just to find the tunnel through the cliff, why anyone went to the effort of cutting this I have no idea.
Thanks Hafrik for bringing me here even if the cache was to elude me this time.
