Should have updated my GPS before coming out today, it still had the cache as active. I guess that means I don't really have to count it as a DNF
[maroon]Day 4 of our 5 day Easter caching roadtrip. Today we were heading from Nelson towards the Mini Trail near Motueka, going up one way and coming back the other.[/maroon]
Another fast bridge find. Cute little logbook but it only just fits. Thanks for the cache

What a lovely spot, was accompanied by a very friendly small dog that wanted to help me look. I found it before he did although it was nice to have his company. Great fun, TFTC
Popped out after tea for a quick find. Little bit too much water in the creek for me to attempt it in the trusty Corolla. Very funky looking tractor/harvester thing parked next to the bridge. Took a wee while to track the cache down in all the grass but eventually found it. TFTC
Checked on the log-book. It's rather cuter than your average log-book eh. It seems that for various reasons, like pages sticking together, people have written on all sorts of random pages like customs officers stamping passports. So. Don't worry. Just choose any page you like and go for it.
Nearly at the end of a round trip through Tapawera and back through the Moutere we found a cache here and signed the log. Since this logbook only had 2 other signatures in it and those several months apart we are wondering if we have signed the correct one. We are awaiting confirmation or otherwise from the CO but will log it as found in the meantime. TFTC.
Don't you love these places? Growth was shoulder high but the cache found and signed. TFTC
You are right about the rivers rulling their lives. At least there are the swing bridges now. TFTC
I am back in the south island again geocaching , I am doing a road trip with this Nana and Auntie and having Good time Thank for the Caches

A lovely quit area, having overnighted nearby, we were up nice and early and out and about. The weather was beautiful, and having been dry the water was quite low. Nice easy find for Mr Geckoh. TFTC

A quick find on a MSc mission
Almost tempted to give the ford a go, but thought better of it after my last caching/ford experience!

4WD vehicle crossed the ford while we were here. Glad we did not attempt to follow. Nice log book TFTC.
Nice long swing bridge. Had alot of fun swaying the bridge to scare my little brother a bit (in a nice way ) Cheers for the cache
Great drive out in some of the back roads. Found cache in good condition and located it quickly. Nice walk across the suspension bridge after finding cache. SL TFTC

Yuk and double yuk. You are right. The mustard had definitely lost it's flavour. All fixed now and better hiding place employed.
Found, but this cache does not cut the mustard. Drained the water, and got rust stains on the white tee shirt.
Left a mark on the very wet log. Rehid the cache so it is under the bridge and hopefully protected a bit from the weather.

Great place for a cache, but the cache container is past it's use by date..... very, very wet!
Needs new log book and bag, stash note, and water proof cache container.

Quick find on a lovely Sunday afternoon after persuading other Bird to make the 'crossing over' TFTC
Last cache of the evening before heading back to Ruby Bay for dinner with family. A quick find, although the cache is very damp and needs drying. Cheers Gav [7006]
1500hrs Yes it was found after crossing the bridge. When we got back to the motorhome it was turn around time. Didn't fancy the Fiat getting stuck in the ford. Good spot for a few pics though. The Italian Job was here......! Our blog www.motorhominginxs.blogspot.com
We spent a good bit of time here looking. PB had a good look, then Annie had a good look. Finally she decided that the thing to do was act like a cow stomping the grass flat the grass, a la a previous log, and eventually it was found – not at all where expected. TNLN TFTC
hmmm, maybe we were in get home mind set, , not where we looked !
but got it next time round....what were we thinking!

Didn't try the ford but a number of cars did go through whilst I was there.
Good spot for a cache.

Hmm this one proved to be our nemesis today - had a good thorough search and were perplexed when we looked in the likely places - GPS taking us to an unlikely spot - we left with lots of mutterings - long story short went back in afternoon - same sort of result !!! finally asked for help from our friends we introduced to caching - duh so stupid we must have looked and not seen it at least half a dozen time - glad to have the find and thanks to Liquorboy09 for the help - just goes to show even us "experienced" cachers can have "those blank moments" Done with hubby Stretch0 took nothing left nothing thanks for the cache
Stopped at this one this morning and had no joy hunted high and low so decided to flag it and return later. On returning looked again and still nothing. A quick call to a friend who found it earlier and we had cache in hand we had looked close by to here earlier but GPS took us away from it and led us on a wild goose chase.
Thanks for the cache and bringing me into the area.

A nice easy find on a beautiful sunny day. Replaced damaged pencil and ziplock bag and left a stretchy gecko (swappable item, not a TB) for the next visitor. TFTC.
Another quick driveby on my way home, cache was out in the open so placed it where i thought it should be.TFTC
I found this a couple of weeks ago and was afraid to open it, then today I got brave and opened it. Surprise! This ain't a bomb!
Lucky I didn't call the cops, I quite like the swingbridge. Just look out for the Troll (Slade), I hear he's often lurking under the bridge at night.

Nice One!!!!!!!!Very quick find with the Grandson. Won't say to much on this one, don't want any spoilers. Did ejoy the walk across the swing bridge. Much fun. Thanks
Now that were back in the south island its time to knock over a few local ones left TB TFTC
New coords are spot on for this cache. No trouble at GZ today for a find at a familiar spot. TFTC, Biggles.

Have been hearing of searchers looking in completely the wrong place so decided to check out the coordinates. Used 3 GPSs so it should be right this time.

No midges at 4.30 pm. Joint FTF and now a joint STF. Now have we been here before..... Mrs Sobad was challenged first to open the cache and then to open the plastic bag. No excuse for the cache container but the red plastic bit was in the wrong place for the plastic bag to open. TNLN TFTC
Oh my, the midgets were so thick I could hardly breathe! Fish jumping as we searched. Dusty grass aggrevating hayfever... It was rough!!! TFTC #CS#
A quick find while in TNR mode. We also certified the bridge limits, all ok, should be safe for a small family of 4. TFTC.
