First find of the day with dakotacats. Love the views from here but the windy was strong and we didn't't hang around for long. TFTC
We are now in Level 1 so I'm pretty sure we are all good to geocache. Found this with 4Clubs, the container detached itself from its hiding place, but somehow we managed to reattach
it to where it originally was. A lovely view through the trees, but the wind was really strong and the lake was covered in white-caps.

Distance from original: 209.2 feet or 63.8 meters.
The other location was flooded twice last year, and has been flooded a lot over the years. So, the new cache is hidden under a seat that I don't believe was flooded - at least to the level of the cache.

On a wonderful trip to Doubtful Sound with lots of information about the rainforest and the unique landscape, I was looking for this one. I realized that the box is missing - too bad!

This cache is disabled until the lake levels go back to normal. It was located in an area where the 'normal' high levels wouldn't reach it, but we are well beyond those levels at the moment. I will replace the cache when I can reach the spot again!
The lake is very high after lots of rain. I found the number 7 direction sign and the rock but the rock was surrounded by water. Searched nearby placed as suggested by the previous geocaches, but I couldn't find it
When I came to GZ everything was full of water and swampy. The box swam around a bit away from the large rock but I could fish it and let the water out of the container. Logbook is wet though. Placed it ca. 3m away in a lying tree branch to protect it from the water. Thanks!
Have just got back from NZ so starting to log caches, after getting this cache we walked to the lake was a lovely place
A quick and easy find. I used to commute from Clyde to the Manapouri powerstation and the views are still as stunning as they were then. Cheers
Easter holidays, and a road trip to Milford Sound. Today we drove from Invercargill to Te Anau with a magic sunny and calm autumns day
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

We enjoyed our walk along the lake and the cache was quickly found. It was a beautiful day here today, not a cloud in the sky and the lake was very calm. Last night in the caravan it was 1 degree and the grass outside was stiff with frost. We planned to drive to the observation series but the car wouldn't start ! We may have to move in here.
For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 12 caches today. I won't grumble if I find one or two more[^]. Today I decided to go a drive to the south down Manapouri way from Te Anau today.
The existing log was full so I replaced it.
Cheers for the cache.

After a Great day out on the water I wanted to find this little cache to finish off my day. Cache and log book OK. TFTC
During our 3-week journey through the South Island of New Zealand we also passed this beautiful place. A cache here and there may not be missing. Greetings from Germany by S & T147
Struggled to find this one for a while, that's because we were on the beach! We retraced our steps and took a different route and this time it was a quick find. Tftc.
Circled around a bit to find. Was just finishing the logging when a couple of German cachers came along and headed straight for me. Nice to meet you. TFTC
Hier bin ich direkt auf eine neuseeländische Cacherin getroffen und musste nicht mehr selbst suchen. TFTC
Well back in Denmark again after my fourth visit to New Zealand. Luckily I also had time to go geocaching down under, and now it is time to long all my finds.
Cache found and logbook signed.

After a night on Doubtful Sound, I then drove from Manapouri to Tapanui, finding a few caches along the way, this being one of them. TFTC! (Apologies for my log being over 4 months late!)
[#4461] On this Wednesday we drove from Arrowtown towards the southwest part while on holiday in New Zealand. We made some stops along the way and had a lunch break in Te Anau. Before reaching Manapouri we made a walk in an old forest and visited the Waiau River at nice Lord of the Rings locations. Finally we ended up in Orepuki where it was very windy. It was a great tour today with lots of awesome views. Thanks to all cache owners for making our visit even more fun and interesting.

Enjoying a stroll in the afternoon sunshine, so different than Christmas Day back home in the UK.
No problems finding the cache and we decided to leave a trackable.

Another beautiful spot. Seems strange naming a lodge possum when they are pests here. Sat a while and admired the view. Tftc
A quick find with chermione before going on our Doubtful Sound overnight cruise. Lovely and peaceful here. Thanks.
1 TB out, 1 TB in!
Stretching our legs in Manapouri after our trip to Doubtful Sound! Nice track through the woods! Lovely hiding place!

Loved this little secluded lookout with the bench, what an amazing spot. Also good place to hide it, really enjoyed a morning run down here.

Visiting with a friend who grew up in Manapouri so this was a must do. Tried a few spots before getting to the correct place. TFTC
Grabbed before the tour into Doubtful Sound. A quick find thanks to a generous hint. TFTC
Nice and close to our digs whilst in Manapouri. We enjoyed our walk to GZ thanks KiwiGeoswami.
We have found this cache during our holiday in New Zealand. Greetings from Czech republic
Found after an 8hr trip to Doubtful Sound including 3hr kayaking. Good hint, cache ok, photo attached. TFTC. TM from N Wales.
Thx for placing the cache. Was looking too close to the water. There was a little thing on the rock, that made it easier

It took us a while to find it, but meanwhile we could enjoy nice view on cloudy landscape around the lake.
We came here today to Manapouri to stay for 2 days. And it snows! But we wanted to do this cache and we did!
TFTC and greetings from Germany.

Missed the turn off to the rock and had a Wander along the beach before following our compass to our goal. Tftf.
On a quick holiday in Te Anau, haven't been this way for many years. Thanks for the caches and I look forward to coming back again soon. Apologies for the generic logging.
Staying another night in te anau after completing the Kepler track. Perfect time to grab a few caches nice quick find tftc
Many thanks to all the COs who helped make our geocaching holiday a great success
We left home early April and returned 21 May 2018. We toured from our home base up to a wedding in North Taranaki then carried on heading south right down through wellington and on down the west coast and back up via the eastern side of the alps some times going around in circles. Our aim was to get as many smiley faces on the puzzle caches that we had solved but of course stopping for many traditionals, multies and others as we went. some time we biked the bike trails or walked but mostly by campervan. we enjoyed the quite back country roads, many of them were metal but we just travelled along slowly going from cache to cache. Most caches were in good condition and I will remark if we thought it needs maintence etc.
