Another search here and no luck. I reckon this one is missing due to the amount of DNFs.
Had another look at this one but after searching for 45 MINUTES in a spot that was confirmed by a previous finder I had no luck. Could be missing OR I'm just blind (probably option 2)
Another DNF here, had a decent search but tricky with my phone jumping around the place
Had a fairly solid search in some rather grungey spots today with injuryman, yet we came out empty handed.
Even after explicit instructions with a past finder I still couldn't find it. Maybe missing or I'm probably just blind.
Today was my lucky day, after trying a few times but there was always others around (at 630am???) But today on yet another walk down the seedy alley I was able to check better for the cache and had it in hand surprisingly quickly.

This will need a new container as I dropped the container behind the wall

Wow this took two visits and 15 minutes today we very jumpy coordinates and a couple discussions with a very interested and friendly (though not knowledgeable about the cache location) cleaner who was mucking out the local bar. Found eventually and feel so silly it took so long, but was not where our initial gz position started is off. TFTC
Had this on my radar for many months but each time I visited the dingy alley, the place was overrun by Muggles, smoking, talking, hanging around and just generally being a nuisance. A helpful nudge from a previous finder narrowed things down somewhat, although the container was also hidden by some additional unhelpful camo.
Finally picked a relatively quiet time for my search and soon had cache in hand. Nice to get this one off the books and TFTC wing6rider and Crystal Warrior.

Really clever hide in plain sight. Needed help with this find as my GZ was out by more than 3m. TFTC wing6rider & Crystal Warrior.
I was in the city collecting an AL waypoint and by chance met up with Search 4. Seeing the alleyway was empty of muggles we went over to have another look for this one... after checking lots of hiding spots Search 4 managed to locate this sneaky hide. Thank you wing6rider!
I’ve tried looking for this one at least 6 times but today was the day!
I was in the area doing some errands when I looked towards the alley and saw Mountains Beyond. We chatted for a while and eventually we noticed that the GZ was void of muggles. We then moved the conversation to the GZ and multi tasked. Looking around felt a lot less sus with a partner. We eventually spotted it and realised that we had previously made it far more difficult than it needed to be.
Nice to have this one checked off. TFTH

Have been here many times before but walked away unsuccessful. Today was a quick find after receiving a hint from a previous finder and to be honest not sure why I didn't find this previously. Happy to have this one ticked off the list. TFTC
Fourth time lucky. Got a hint from a previous log entry. Found with Contesta. Once found it was really quite obvious and could be seen from several metres away. Meet one of the locals who appeared a bit weird, as he approached me I headed off quickly. Avoided the syringe in the nearby doorway. TFTC.
TFTC Been here before without success. Today looking for about 10 mins and had in my head it was much more difficult than it was. So easy when you see it, you wonder how you could possibly have missed it. Glad to have this one out of the way. Great day for caching today, thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache.
So glad to find this one after so many people DNFs. It took awhile with QPS jumping all over. Hint is down low - knee level. happy hunting
The co ords took me to a lane, and with so many places to hide a cache that are with info on historic or points of interests i was baffled as to why this would be here , so i decided not to pursue this one on that basis
I’m not sure what happened but this was a much easier find! The last time I came it was dark so prob helped I could see! ?
O.M.G!
I have lost count how many times I have looked for this.
Coming out of the Plasma Donation Center with freshly washed hands I took the opportunity of less muggles and the new hole in the wall take away being closed to loiter once again in this dingy alley.
It's a case of once you have seen it you can't believe you missed it before.
I do like the new artwork on the road.

This cache has been on my nemesis list for so long... and today I went back for the n'th time and I saw it from 10m away. Jeez, its funny the way that happens...but still super happy to have found it!
On leap day as well!

Did a bit of lunchtime caching with GLISS! Neither of us wanted to walk very far, so we did a couple of alley caches near where we both work.
I've been here several times but have either been muggled out or GPS wouldn't settle. Glad to finally knock this one off.

While it was bouncing around a lot we did get down to 2m with a difference of +/- 6m. Lots of potential spots but no luck after 15 min.
Quite a few potential spots here and I checked quite a few, but getting a good satellite lock on GZ was tricky in the alley and it was bouncing around +/- 40m, so I couldn’t close in with any certainty and decided not to persist.
Wow, this is surprisingly tricky! Previously tried and failed, this time I had Elderitch97 to help me. Thanks for a great cache in the middle of the city.
Could not find it last time. This time I enlisted help from 2 friends who had done it before as an attempt to complete the streak event. Thanks for the cache! It makes our time in civic more interesting
This has been a nemesis cache for me. I work across the road and I have looked many times. Today I brought 3 other members of my work team with me and one of them found it within 5 mins. Yay! Nice to get a smilie on this one. TFTC
Found on a cold Saturday afternoon whilst wondering around town. A few niggles at the burger shop but quiet st GZ. Many thanks
TFTC from the KayakViking.
This proved easier than expected - luckily a quieter night for a look.
A dirty alley - but seriously - come to Sydney if you want some REALLY grungy alleys. All good. Cheers

Having previously logged a dnf on this cache (over a year ago) I was keen to try again when I found myself in the neighborhood today. After spending some time between muggle interruptions hunting high and low, I decided to call for assistance. A previous finder kindly pointed me in the right direction and the find was made within a few minutes. I had been searching in quite the wrong spot!

beat me but really cool place to have a look. Just didn’t have the time to dedicate a good search
Very nice to turn this one to a smiley after some intel. We were concentrating too much on the satellite view which did not help. There sure is a lot of grunge in this lane way....a good spot for a CITO! Thanks wing6rider & Crystal Warrior.
We stopped here after lunch. I searched methodically, finding nothing, before crossing the lane and realising PPE was standing right next to it. A classic urban cache, as he says. Thanks wing6rider & Crystal Warrior.
I took an advantage of having a good masking (bike) with me, and did try my luck. And tgis time I was finally lucky. Not sure how many times I did try, but mh guess would be about 10x in past 5 years. So my "nemesis cache was finally found by me:-)
Might be because of the new hiding spot, but finally there is a smiley in my map!!

Cache 4761 on 28 Feb 2019.
This cache: found on a lunchtime mission with TikvaNZ to find a cache on this day. This was not the cache he was looking for, but it was one that I had on my radar and had completely failed to find on two previous occasions. After being given a pointer and making sure the coast was clear, I dived in for the find. Super tricky to spot, especially since on previous hunts I was looking in a slightly different spot. Cache in good condition and almost brand spanking new log. Such a grungy part of town!
Thanks wing6rider & Crystal Warrior for the cache and the fun!

Out with Joolay and ALL7 hunting down caches. This one took some time as GPS was bouncing all over the place. AFter finally giving in and PAF the cache was quickly found , log signed and cache returned to its very tricky hiding place. Loved the irony of the name of this cache and the name of the Lane - gets a FP from me for that. TFTC
Found with All7 and Smittengranny cruising civic. Very tricky and had to phone a friend and finally after a long look we found it. Thank goodness. Lots of high fiving. Signed and returned. TFTC
Cache has been replaced very close to where the original was blocked in! Let's see how it lasts? It's a bit easier now too.....
We dropped by to find it missing and even the whole hidey spot was gone! Have identified a new spot so, will consider a replacement soon.
After 20 minutes we gave up. Not a nice place to search. But we wanted it. Will try again
It really does stink down here. Never really likes ASIO but with help a find was made. Thanks
I was in the city for a particular activity today but had a few breaks where I wasn't required, so a cache hunting I did go!
With a sense of optimism based on another grotty laneway find minutes earlier and a recent CO check on this one, I set about searching. Not including a few intervals where I had to suspend my search due to delivery muggles, I spent about an hour hunting but still came up with naught. A fairly specific hint from a paf didn't even result in a find. Eventually I decided I was cache-blind and conceded defeat... for now...

Cache checked today and found to be in place and in good condition.
The lane still stinks!
The lane still stinks!
Another DNF despite having detals saying where it should be. Can the CO check please? Thanks.
Two visits now with some hints and guidance from fellow caches and I was unable to find. I may try again after some rain when the smell is not as bad.
What an ugly location. This should be the first cache in Canberra, but we found nothing.

No luck after 4 mini-looks over as many days.
Admittedly I was reluctant to get too dirty.
A word to the wise - something high looks light a light fitting - it is one - probably best not to put fingers in there. Fortunately I didn't get zapped.
I'll try again next time I'm in town.

I'm out with my mate Knightech, having breakfast and finding a cache or two. I've been crook, and have not been doing much caching lately. It's a pretty nice day, and here we go.
Yeah, yuk. But found it.
Find no 1 of 3 today.
Thanks, wing6rider

Took some time but mr jd found it log was on the ground and container was empty so signed the log put it back together tftc
IT HAS TO BE THERE!
Had a good 20 min of hunting and stuck my fingers in more holes than I would usually do. I was spurned on by the fact that wing6rider had just checked it and found it safe and sound.
Lots of great hidey holes, and even with finding a note from another cacher (who's never found it) I came up empty.
This was the 3rd time in as many years that I had a look. Previously I was interrupted by muggles. This time I was largely ignored by the crowds passing the end of the lane. Not sure how much of my searching has been captured by the security cameras.
Planning to come back to that one....

I called by yesterday and all was well. Cache still tucked away and nice and dry. I will change the log soon but it still has room.
Remember this is a four star difficulty cache so, I have not included a hint. It is meant to be a challenge in many ways!

Searched for a good 15 minutes and called it a day. The place was awful and not fun in the least. I looked back through logs and thought there was a good one, but no cache matching that location. WOuld be really nice to put a good hint so you're not milling around in dirty places like this.. Only DNF in Canberra ...
Had a good evening poke around, no one around right now. Sadly no luck this time, looking forward to piking around again
Had a good caching day with Aquilus1. After failing one other adventurous night here, we came back to find this one after a hint from a previous finder. Glad to tick this one off. Tftc!!!
Finally! After a long eventful search last time returned tonight. The days rain had put a good wash over the area and the smell of last visit was luckily missing! With a bit of a hint from a previous finder it still took a bit of a look but ended up being straight forward once looking in the right spot. Thanks for the cache!
A truly horrid location. Grotty, smelly, riddled with muggles in the middle of the day. To top it off, my phone GPS was basically useless here. I was left just to wander about, trying to search discretely without any real guidance and basically planning my DNF log.
After several minutes I spotted something suspicious that reminded me of something bad to touch but wasn't. I surprised myself totally by actually finding the cache. Score! TFTC

Not sure I can see what the appeal of the location is - I've tried a couple of times before, and there have always been people in the lane eyeing me suspiciously. I figured Easter Friday would be quiet - and it was.. at least for 10 minutes. That was just about enough time to read through past logs which suggested that the cache is much further down than the coordinates indicate, and then a group of about a dozen staff from one of the establishments came out and settled down for a smoke and a chat, and to watch the strange goings on. At that point I pretty much gave up.
Found it, well muggle hubby did on the way to have a beer. Had told hubby to look for something not quite right, so a piece of cardboard shoved into a window grill did the trick tftc
This is one cache I wanted to find after my first failed attempt. That took about 20mins of fruitless searching, and I walked away angrier than I arrived. After a hint from a fellow cacher (I am Coust) I ventured back into the depths of Canberra hell alleyways during the multicultural festival, only to find the cache but I had no pen. Good work GM, a typical amateur cachers move. Today after a bike ride to civic I found a pen on the way so what better way to use it then on this cache. Done and dusted, one off the bucket list of caches. Tftc.
After a couple of failed attempts finally cracked it with go from another cacher. Pleased to finally cross this off. TFTC!

Before meeting friends for a meal nearby, I took the opportunity to give this nemesis another go. I had a fairly specific hint from a previous finder which helped tremendously. Tonight I finally found it. TFTC.

Well what can you say about this one, it's everything it said it was. Really it is just disgusting! What is that smell? I think it's hard to really look without really getting involved and touching anything. In the end the lady getting her naked photos taken in the shopping trolley added a distraction. Not the photo shoot, that was going on the whole time, but to jump start her car! Dty73 offered to help out and after a few pushes down the alley next thing you see dty73 in the car driving to get it it going. Sure enough she got it going to cheers all round! Hooray for that but no geo smilies tonight, just lots of ours!
Well, interesting dnf experience I must say. Aquilus1 and I were aware of the muggles taking photos for a special shoot down the other end, but they were busy and so were we. Until I noticed they had gotten in the car and he was trying to push start it. So I offered assistance. Luckily it started and we all laughed about how we would sleep well tonight (already being 23:00pm). Searched a bit longer to come up empty handed. It was a stinky alley and although we couldn't find a smiley, I gave myself a star for doing a good deed
It was Australia day, so not alot of muggles, tick. However as soon as I entered this alleyway the GPS went crazy, so the only way to find cache was by instinct. But this place is a real dump, and after a second run thru this area decided to ditch this cache. Since the GPS doesn't really work here, a proper hint would be nice, I've noticed most cachers who have found this have only done so after asking previous cachers with a find.
Read through previous logs and even with one telling where it was in detail still had no joy.
Eventually found with the help of a previous finder. So many potentials, only one actual. TNLNSL TFTC
No luck on this one, such a grungy location you nailed it there! Looked in the obvious spots but nothing stood out
This is one of the closest caches to work, but whenever I'm coming or going, there are too many muggles. I deliberately detoured via here this morning to see if this time would be muggle free and it was. But the cache was too elusive. I gave up after about 10 minutes.
We tried this one during a lunchtime wander but despite looking for about 20 minutes, we had to give up. There were too many muggles and delivery trucks about - not to mention the smell was starting to make us feel sick!
We gave it another go a few days ago, at 6am before a drive to Sydney. We'd hoped the early hour on a Saturday might be easier, and there was nobody around, but we still had no luck.
We ended up getting a tip from a fellow cacher, and went for a third look today. We found it quickly - in a place we'd been looking at all along, just somehow managed to miss it.
The log is slightly mouldy, so we couldn't write our name on it, just managed the date before the pen stopped working. The date reading "27/4/16" is definitely us.

DNFed with the Lost in Cache crew following the morning event. Five of us spent close to half an hour hunting around, with hints from three other cachers, and we couldn't find anything. I'll have to return at some stage and have another go.
