After talks with a previous finder it would seem the cache is indeed missing. Not sure what's happening in regards to a replacement yet.
Can I ask if this one will be checked soon or leave it of my list of caches to do while in the area next month?
:/ pretty sure I need to be looking in that tree according to my compass. Still no luck.

I had no luck finding this one. Had a feeling that had been removed or muggled.
Will try again another day

I'm talking to CO about possible maintenance.

The coords also led me away from the guns, scrounged but unable to find. It was, however, a nice sunny day to go on a wild goose chase..... after all, that's what wild geese are for.
GZ took me to a tree behind the guns. A search of the tree and the guns themselves left me smileyless

DNF . Day or night! Thought this was an easier cache for young scout troop. Sure it is missing. Will try again soon.
Not another gun cache! I don't have a good record with these but this was a nice easy find tftc
Quick and easy find from our geokids Dodo+Tim in rainy conditions - we've been still wet from running around the 360 cache. TFTC
Went down on a lovely Sunday afternoon. Took a few minutes but found it. Great part of town to visit also.
Tricked a bit by the likely looking hiding places (and GPS that couldn't make it's mind up), I eventually got a clear GZ from the device and made a quick grab to log nearby as there were a couple of muggles annoyingly standing around chatting nearby. TFTC
Pulling up I was sure I knew where the cache would be...I was wrong the GPS took me elsewhere and it was right.

Found! Good hide, no one around. Stop & look around the area to think where it will be. TFTC
All guns ablaze on this one. Took a little longer than anticipated, a treemendous effort was required. TFTC.
We found this cache very good! The guided tour was too late for us, so we moved further to Melbourne. TFTC!!

Having hired a car for a specific weekend event only to have it cancelled on me at short notice meant there was nothing left to do really but go walkabout.
The Saturday found me exploring the complementary section to the Mornington Peninsula of St Philips Bay.
Having had a drive round the area it was time to stretch the legs and take in the odd photography session.
Not quite the option of a cache and dash here as Mr & Mrs Muggle were loitering and showing no signs of moving on. A second couple arrived and started chatting to the first and it became apparant that they were waiting for the Museum to open.
I must had read just about every bit of history board by now, so out came the camera for some "macro" shots of the guns.
Museum opening time finally arrived and I was free to pounce on the cache like a week-starved tiger on a small tinned pilchard!
Thanks for bringing me here and thanks for placing the cache.
My apologies to the cache owner for the exceedingly large delay in logging this find.
For quite a few months life has had an awkward habit of generally getting in the way of caching. Not completely enough that I havent been able to go searching and occasionally finding, but certainly enough to when it actually came around to writing and logging the finds. I can only apologise for any records, karma targets or unloved cache days that have been skewed as a result of these late entries.
Thank you for placing the cache and thus enticing me to get off my backside and get out and explore.

bikerbuddy noticed this traditional as we were heading towards GZ of a puzzle, so we made sure to stop to look for it on our way back out. And he found it quickly, while I was still walking towards the hiding spot.
Thanks

We were in the area to do the Webcam cache nearby, and had passed this one, so we stopped to take a look at the guns and find the cache. Thanks
Find # 2693
Date 16th Mar 2013
Time 2:33 PM
I was again without my caching wingman SedgwickDave who was still on holidays over in Perth. I decided to go solo in an area he had already hit, so the target became Queenscliff and surrounding area. My initial intention was to get five icons today, but due to inclement weather and other issues I was unsuccessful. I was also attempting to find my 2700th cache which I fell one short due to 8 DNF's for the day.
This one took me a long time, not because I couldnt find it, but because of the steady stream of muggles coming to check out "The Guns" eventually they all departed and the cache was soon found.
Thanks to Robmc for the cache.

#241 TFTC... after finishing our local fish and chips on the beach, we honed in on GZ pretty quickly and was about to make the grab when we were set upon by muggles on their way home from the beach. I amused myself with a read of the info panels as the muggle children played on the cannons for a bit. Eventually they left and we made a quick find

Still raining, ground wet and squelchy and so were my feet. How armaments have become so much more destructive and indiscriminate in the last century
Guns caches are always a pain in the behind but this one wasn't too bad in the end. tftc
Good to see this is back on line, easy find.
Found on a day / night caching trip to secure our 500th, with Ogrebeast and Hoon1. Thanks for the cache..

A nice easy find to give us some satisfaction for our day full of unfound caches.

Needed a quick one for today. We were disappointed when we came here last year. Love these guns.
This one had gone walkies when I was here a year ago. Today it wad an instant find and I was glad to get it off my nemesis list.
Found this one at 1300 on 13 Jan 13. Been past here many times but never visited inside the fort. Must do it some day soon now that it has finished as an Army establishment. SL TFTC Robmc. cloudglider
Grabbed this as one of about 40 in a nice weekend down on the coast.. It was the last weekend before I started back at work. I was keen to cache, and was encouraged down this way by the chance to Orienteer, Body Board and Cache.. I ended up also staying the night, although the original plan of attending an event at Ballan didn't eventuate.. Had a great weekend, thanks to the various cache owners for your part in a great weekend..
Found this one really easily after a DNF on a previous visit due to either it not being here, or there being too many watching eyes.. (I cant recall which).. Thanks Rob Mc for the cache.. Find #3372

A quick find this year after this one was AWOL during last year's pilgrimage to these sunny shores. TFTC
Found at 1:16 PM GAFF1. For a moment there we thought that we had to learn the hiding spots of 19th century cannons! We are expert on Howitzers only.
Thanks Robmc
Thanks Robmc
The weather turned this afternoon so the only muggles were a few driving past. A quick park and grab was just what we needed in the wind and rain. Thanks Robmcs
Trying to catch up finds from months ago, apologies for the belated log.
3rd found in the company of Coley_Babee and dear hubby who agreed to join us for the drive.
Caching today to attend the local event plus some other caches.
Glad to have this gone from the list of caches in the area after DNFing this one one year ago.
Thanks again Robmc for this cache.

After attending the Buried Treasure event, and getting all the sand off me as best I could.... We continued on our way caching.
This one came up first, and after initially thinking this must be attached the the obvious evil structure, we were pleasently surprised to keep walking past!!!
Found nice and quick
