Cache #143
Had some time to kill after work so decided to find some caches with my muggle friend. TFTC

Good walk round this lake doing what we enjoy - caching and photographing. Heaps of bird life. The cache was found as per co ords. Good work old blokes.
Off on another camping expedition in our Camper staying at the Tarnagulla Recreation Reserve and picking up some caches as we check out the local area. Today we headed to Boort and the area was packed, the camping ground was overflowing and there was a tennis tournament on at the local tennis courts. After finding the nearby BL#1 A Stroll by the Lake, we went back to the car and drove to this next cache. Although the GPS took us the long way around to GZ, once there we made another quick easy find. TFTC TNLN.
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
A different view of the lake, and another opportunity to enjoy the water birds. No anglers, but a graceful pair of swans.
Not many muggles around in this part of town today, and even the neighbours across the road were not to be seen.

Another quick find.
This is such a lovely Lake that it deserves a few good caches

An easy find - no one picnicking here on a Monday afternoon. Thanks for the cache.
I wasn't planning to find as many caches as I ended up doing here, but this is such a nice area, that I did. Quick find. TFTC the old blokes.
Found with becca85 & boo09 on our way to Lake Boga (with a few detours!) for my cousins 30th birthday. TFTC
Found with becca85 & neisha07 on our way to Lake Boga (the slightly longer way) for my cousins 30th. TFTC
Found with neisha07 & boo09 on our way to Lake Boga for a birthday event. We took the longer route via Wedderburn/Boort to nab a few caches.
This was a welcomed stop, I very much needed the amenities by this stage!
Such a beautiful area. TFTC

Found by Aussie Train Driver 13/11/2017, find number 1179.
I was driving from Quambatook back to Melbourne in the car today and had the opportunity to snag a few caches. This was the first find for the day after a delicious lunch at one of the cafes in town.
I had planned to find the first cache in the series and hit the road again, however it was being guarded by a muggle tradie so I moved on to this one. An added bonus was that I continued around the lake to get on the road out of town.
The area was deserted which allowed for a quick find after startling a skink guarding the cache. I didn't have time to walk the lake today but I would like to give it a shot in the future!
TNLNSL, TFTC!

Camping in Boort with friends for the long weekend so we headed out to grab a quick cache or two around the lake. We couldn't get them all due to long grass but we will be back! Many thanks - nice easy finds and the kids had fun.
Nice spot with all amenities and access to the lake. TFTC. Favorite given due to my reaching 555 caches found.
Had to skip one due to time constraints, and found myself taking a bit of a stretch for this one! TFTC
Found @1550 easy find and had a ziplock in the pocket for the log book . thanks for the cache placement all good at GZ. .
We found your cache BL#2 A Picnic by the Lake ,
Thanks the old blokes for the cache!

Found with Highrod while around Wedderburn for the weekend. A quick find here. No time to stop for a picnic today. TFTC
Found while in Boort for some of today. I found this cache out in the open and on the ground. I placed it in what I thought was the obvious hiding spot but after reading some of the logs it may be too obvious. Nevertheless it's more secure than it was. Thanks for the hide.
We are travelling via the back roads on our way to Alice Springs for the Event over Easter. We pulled into the Boort Showgrounds for the night and are spending the afternoon grabbing all the caches in town.
This one had me fooled for a minute as it was not where I expected it to be, but then I spied the sneaky hide! Pa was on hand for the retrieval and returned it to its hidey hole after logging duties were completed. TFTC TNLN SL

Found on our way home from our trip to Lake Boga, where we saw the Catalina airshow and display, went fishing, and of course cached our way around as well.
We found this and another couple of caches in Boort before heading off, as we didn't want to be too late home. We will have to return another day for the rest of them. We were quite taken with what a lush oasis that Boort is.
This cache was quickly found by Chunk who isn't vertically challenged like Chook is.

While staying at the very nice Quambatook Caravan Park we decided to have a day caching around Quamby and Boort.
We were joined last night by a great group of bikers from the Military Brotherhood who invited us to join them for a BBQ catered by the local Lions Club and then drinks and entertainment at the Quamby Pub.
We all had a great night
By this time things were starting to quieten down on the lake near the end of the long weekend as I guess many had to pack up and head back home, probably to Melbourne and surrounds
Many thanks for the cache the old blokes[^][^][^]

No time for a picinic today
Anyway !! It was too hot [:o]
For me at least
Others seemed to have no problems hanging around lakeside in the mid to high thirties temps and blazing sunshine
I kept walking,
and finding caches where I could
And BL#2 soon came to paw in a good hiding place I saw [^]

Am I half way yet ???!!! [:o]

A late afternoon find in the rain with the geo-son during a circumnavigation of the lake on foot. No muggles to disrupt our search which was hardly surprising. Many thanks the old blokes
On a road trip from the ACT thru northern Victoria, to South Australia then back through Victoria (great Ocean road) and caching along the way. Whatever cache we happened to pass and I was in the mood we stopped to find and log. Some easier some harder:-) TFTC
Driving round the lake getting caches with the van in tow thank you for placing van friendly caches
Day 2.4 of my 2100+Km 4.4 day road trip.
Visiting Woodlands Heritage Park, Ocean Grove, Warrnambool, Naracoorte, Keith, Ouyen, Lake Boga, Ballarat and just about every town in between. (Not necessarily in that order)

This was one of the caches I found on my travels.
After watching the AFL Grand Final & staying over night at mates (Trout's) place, It was time to hit the road again.
It was another great day, The first signs of summer in spring. (Bring it on.)
I took the long way to the cache and the short way back to the car.
I soon had the cache in hand and the log was duly signed.
'Scrat' visited your cache whilst on his Great Aussie Adventure.

Continuing on our drive around the lake, we collected this cache all the while marvelling on how quiet this place was on a Sunday...Where is everybody???

No one was stopped for a picnic today, so made for an easy find, apart from the barking dog across the way. Thanks for the hide.
Second find in Boort today, good location. Enjoying out lake stroll. Left bulldog clip, took nothing. TFTC.
Staying at Boort Caravan Park for a couple of nights, I walked around the lake with my friend and cleaned up the caches along the way We pondered on the farm house that has gone to ruin, would make a great project to do it up as a holiday house. TFTC
Mananaged to find the time to do some caching on the way through the town. All good with cache. TFTC
Bogonghazy and I managed to find the cache quickly enough here, and seeing as the Pelicans and swans were a glorious sight, we decided to plonk here and make our lunch and enjoy them. Thanks to the old blokes for the cache, and the series.
With a van in tow, and a heap of caches on the list before getting to Swan Hill tonight, Sully and I decided to grab these by car instead of getting the exercise needed for us both.
Once again this was a quick find because it wasn't too well hidden into it's hollow, and had a chewy bar inside as well, a no-no unless you want ants etc joining in the logging.
I replaced it further inside and removed the bar, thanks for the hide and the mini series

Find #1542 @ 1530H
Seeing that the skys were kinda clear I decided to head off on a small cache hunt (small in number not in distance) A total of 9 cache grabs but with a distance of 250ks round trip for the day.
Last time I was up here to get some cache smilies I had to leave this one alone due to the muggle activity near by. But today the area was free of muggles, just had to wait for a jogger to pass by.
finally I have all the old blokes caches ticked off around Boort
TFTC the old blokes. another good hide.
