Logs
While this is a great spot for a cache, the reality is that if people write log entries such as "Every c*&* in Panmure knows this is there", it's safer not to place one here at all. Cache archived - this will not affect the answers required for Emu Crossings - The Junction.
On our way home from holiday to Warrnambool, geobub say's lets do some caches on the way home! Good idea. Kidcoza finds the caches and we pick up a few along the way. Kids tempted to have a swim, but the winds quite cool. TFTC.
This cache has been removed following a report of obscenities written in the log by locals, before they remove it for us. We'll be having a good think about where to rehide it, or whether it's worth having here. Stay tuned.
Horizontal rain, mud etc. Had a crack, but was not going to "fully commit". Next time perhaps.
Thanks for that, I hope to find it before I leave. Have the clues and description also been updated, though?

Cache replaced and now back online. This one is waterproof and cost a bit to manufacture, so hopefully it'll last .
The short answer is it'll hopefully be back online before Dec 30. That all depends on whether we can get to the spot through the hordes of muggles who will no doubt be visiting the spot, so we can't make any promises.
We drove past the spot a couple of weeks ago and saw that the area is now open again. Time for a new, improved hide. Temporary cache temporarily disabled.
My coordinates puts in the middle of all the tree branches! Had a good search around all things metal but still couldn't find it
I forgot to log this one so it's a bit late.
Stopped off to have a look but couldn't find any sign of the cache. GZ was in a bit of an odd area, so the new coordinates may be off a bit

Picked this one up on the way back to Melbourne after a fine weekend caching in the area. Mr S was off on the wrong track while Mrs S went straight to it. Thanks for this cache, and the others that we completed in the area.

Our sixth stop beside Mount Emu Creek on our quest of following the Emu Crossing caches toward Warrnambool.
The friendly creek we started with earlier in the day has now become an angry river, surging towards the junction with the Hopkins River. The satellites today had the GZ 8m north of the cache location.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Emu Creek Gang & o'cholio.

Parked on the wrong side of the bridge, but after walking to GZ it was an easy find. TFTC.
I found the eclipse early this afternoon. Had visited this spot last year before the rain came but got thwarted that day by a heap of muggles at gz. The photos you posted show how amazingly high the river got. Lots of evidence of the flood still around. An good spot - will be interesting to see how it looks when the area has been cleaned up.

Visited today, and collected the cache from this now-devastated hiding spot (yep, it was still there!).Due to the area being closed for repairs, the cache has been replaced with a temporary Eclipse tin outside the repair area. As these repairs will no doubt be long term, the container *may* end up being replaced. Hint and coordinates updated.
Had a drive-by glance at this one the other day, and the water levels have almost receded back to normal. However, the mess around the area is atrocious, and the cache practically inaccessible. It'll likely be a while before this one comes back.
A huge thank you to the last finder for putting in a replacement log. We'll be looking at options for a highly waterproof container in the near future as (like all the Emu Crossings) this is prone to flooding.
A drive-by on our way home to Geelong that was an eye-opener: This is a fantastic water hole and picnic area that we had been unaware of.
Current water levels are high (or, so we thought until we looked at the photos in previous logs), and the creek is a torrent. We arrived at dusk - too dark to take a pic, but at least the place was free from muggles.
Sorry to report the container was full of water again. We draned it - the log is unusable. Left one of our emergency logs in a sealed bag, hoping this will do the trick for the possible Christmas rush.

Cache retrieved and resprayed, log dried out and cache now back in position. However, with the amount of rain that has just fallen we're fully expecting to be replacing this one again at Christmas .
The area has been cleaned up, cache retrieved and logbook dried out. We went to replace it late today but found the area infested with muggles . It'll be back in place, and back online hopefully in the next day or so.
Found while checking out the location for the cache owner. A well hidden spot.
Logbook is beyond redemption.
Thanks for bringing me here o'cholio.

The water level is now down to normal, and amazingly, the cache is still in position. It can't be reached until the debris covering its access is cleared away, though - and there's quite a bit of it!
If anyone is interested in visiting this cache, some scuba gear might be in order . We considered this outcome when re-hiding the cache after it was muggled, but figured flooding was way down there on the list of possibilities! With a bit of luck, it'll only need drying out when the waters subside.
This whole area is currently under flood water.
So it shouldn't be attempted for a little while.
I've been to the site a few times, but without any luck since it's always been when I'm only a flying trip through to Warrnambool, and don't have the time to search for long. So I'm just going by the general area my GPSr sends me.
The sign in the picture of the water hole above was only just above the water line yesterday.

Parked in parking area on other side of highway and walked across to GZ. Found after a short hunt and log was signed. Took Captain Cook TB. TFTC
Checked the site and it has indeed been cleaned up by the shire - and the cache is missing along with the TB it contained. Cache has now been relocated to a better spot. Also dropped in a GC.

Just been there now with my mum... It looks like the shire workers have removed this one! There's a freshly cut tree at gz
Found on our way to the Port Fairy Folk Festival. Twas such a beautiful spot.... would never know it was there. I'll stop again next time i'm passing through... TFTC
Great swiming spot complete with diving board, and ladder out.
No Emus using the diving board
This is the third cache with NO emus!
What is the story?
Thanks, Robmc.

Cache was gone...now it's back. Thanks to Dugcholi for replacing. We'll check it and maybe set up a better hide when we're back down.
Found the cache today at 4.00pm with beanie But the cache was not where
it should have been instead it was lying on the ground in open view
I don't know whether the wind might have blown it down
Anyway replaced the cache where I think it should have been
A lovely spot for a swim on a hot day

Found on an exploration 10 hr trip from Altona to Warrnambool as a busy place today being hot and good to see people enjoying the water today thanks o'cholio
Found with Team Wollaston after the coldest beer ever. The lake looked very inviting. TFTC
Found with team "out n about" on a sunny afternoon pub crawl (if you can call two pubs a pub crawl) Have often thought we should stop off and check out the swimming hole but never did. Thanks for bringing us here. TNLN TFTC.
Found by Mary & David at 1445. Such a pretty spot and so green. Surprised to find such a pool here, and there were a couple of muggle kids playing on the springboard. Luckily, their attention was occupied and GZ was mostly out of sight. Our thanks again to o'cholio.
was quite surprised travelled over this bridge heaps of times did not know about the great swimming hole
An easy find while hiding from the muggles that had set up camp nearby. They were fishing we were hunting. Nice quiet spot that caching has brought us to. Left a critter and took a geocoin SL TFTC
On the way back to my hometown for a visit and stopped off here sogeo mum could give geobub a feed and I thought to myself nice place for a cache. Out with the netbook and as of last week there is.
T - Nothing
L - Geo Coin. All the way from Queensland.

Thankyou for the cache. Even though we are local, I had never been there!! Looking forward to taking the kids for a swim and dive.
found with kia 1,we were muggled by darwinite cachers while the cache was in hand, had to let them in on it,after they searched for a few minutes.TNLN TFTC.
Found this one with carrots3, turned out to be quite funny on the day.
First time I have been muggled by other friendly cachers.
Watched them searching fruitlessly while we had cache in hand.
We came clean and said is this what you are looking for.
We all had a laugh and meet the cachers (from Darwin)
Enjoyed the find thanks O'Cholio

We have stopped at the nearby memorial before but have never seen this side of the park. It's very impressive, but it would need to be at least 10 degrees warmer before it became tempting. It did, however, work in our favour as there was no one around making retrieval very straightforward. The GPSr lead us directly to the cache although we did approach it from a harder way than necessary. Once the log book was signed we took the easy way back
