At the start of the path a troup load of muggles came meandering out so pleased to have missed them enroute. Spied the recently felled trees. Had to then duck and dive a fe more muggles before commencing tentative entry, progress was rewarded speedily. Strolled further around but left the unfound cache seeking for another day.
No sign of the TB.

A quick march up the hill as the light is now starting to fade luckily this was still easy enough for us to spot.great sunset this evening.
GPS had me wanting to head further up the bank, but I quickly spotted a likely place matching the hint which turned up the cache. Someones been tidying up with a chainsaw so I didn't have to much trouble reaching the GZ, TFTC
After many many tries I finally found it far from where I was first looking! Heaps of fallen trees over the path from the recent storm at the moment so watch out. TFTC
Found it during bike journey in the area of Northwestern Cycleway. Lovely Sunday trip. Managed 28.6km on my bicycle. Found several caches along the way and nearby. This one here was one of them ... TFTC
Had some TBs to move on so decided to find this cache. Dropped 2x TBs and gabbed 1. Legs got heavy munched by mosquitoes while retrieving and signing log! TFTC!
The nest was quickly discovered and the log signed.
The travel elephant trackable wasn't there but we dropped a Seahorse trackable to continue its journey.
Perfect spot for a cache. Thanks for bringing us here.

Came for a pleasant walk along this pathway at dawn this morning. So nice, quiet and peaceful even so close to the motorway. Nice quick find at the GZ but the TB is missing
Managed to make this a higher terrain to get to GZ than necessary, but still made the find in the end.
Last of our three finds while taking a walk through here, pretty nice job that they have done of the walkway around here, you can watch the motorway from a respectable distance across the mangroves. Apparently it's off the leash, but we didn't let Albert go here as there were a few too many tempting chase objects around and it was bad enough running around after him at the weekend.
Once I spotted the hint item it didn't take long to find this one. Picked up a smurf and dropped a couple of toy soldiers. All is good here, thanks to the cacher that dropped off the temp logs. TFTC.

Wandered along this pathway. GPS went mental for a bit and I was wandering around in circles before I came over crest and saw where I was meant to be. A little exposed so I could see it in it's hidey place. A lone little piece of paper inside so have left a few bits of swag. Pondered on whether to leave the trackable we have on us, but decided against it since this has been muggled before and could be a place where the local children may be likely to come and explore again, didn't want it going missing. Have recovered with natural materials which hopefully won't be blown or rained off.

Havent been along here for many years so it was good to revisit. A nice quick find.Tftc
Found. Log needs to be replaced. I'll try and get out this week and replace it for you TFTC.
This one was definitely muggled, but the empty container was left behind. I put in a makeshift log, but ti needs some TLC. TFTC.
A lovely stroll to GZ, although quite steep in places. Found cache quickly. TFTC
Trouvée la cache.
Pas de travel bug à l'intérieur !..
L'endroit n'est pas formidable.
Pas de crayon, la photo prouve la découverte.

On the way home after an evening out with a work colleague from Sydney, decided to grab the three along the new walkway. This is also my 100th day in a row of caches, so thought I would do all along the walkway. As I started at the opposite end with It's all about the steps, and entering the walkway at the point closest to that cache, I had a long walk to GZ. GPS had me off by about 10 meters, and it was getting darker by the minute. I had decided I was not going to find it, until I turned around to head out. Something caught my attention. Hmmm.. Lets look at that - Bingo All nestled up was the cache. Log signed and replaced. Now for the long walk back to the car TFTC
Pazza told geodog that this was an off leash area so off we went. Lovely spot quick find.
On way home from a green caching day by e-bike from West Auckland to the city and back. Picked up Tb.
A lovely track to finally ride after viewing it from my bike everyday on my work route to the city. Tftc

A great spot for a cache. Good to see the native plantings surviving despite the dry summer. tftc
We introduced two friends to geocaching today with this cache. Dropped off a geocoin too.
The tide was in so the views along the walkway were at their best. An interesting perspective of the huge roadworks and overpasses from here. Cache in good condition. TFTC!
Quick find while in auckland for the day with the kids at a tournament nearby .
We have left a TB that's on a mission so please help it.

My first visit to this walkway. Nice to get a different view of the motorway/cycleway. TFTC.
Awesome to see new native habitat being planted out in this area. Quaint stroll. My first travel bug found! Kay's travel elephant was not in there however. This cache made my day. Thanks!

I used to live near here a few years ago and this was one of my favourite walks, gosh it's changed! It used to a grass path, but now it's a proper footpath giving a view of the new motorway development. I didn't think I'd find this as lots of trees had been cut down around here but made a nice quick find and dropped off a TB I brought back from the UK.
Very pleasant walkway this. One day in never-never land I will walk this in its entirety. But til then Ill keep on caching! BTW thats the smallest 1.2L container Ive seen!
Nice and easy find in a nice walkway. We missed bumping into gorby. tftc sp8sm8. Picked the TB
Headed back to this walkway today to grab this previously disabled cache. Nice walk. Dropped off a TB. Thanks
Decided that with the weather looking dodgy we should get out early. Turned out to be an awesome day. The first of our 15 caches found today
Enjoyed an early morning walk along this walkway. Thanks for the placement
#134 Took DRNana on her first day out geocaching with whole Geofamily. Geogirl found this one today with a fresh log with 1 other logging. Dropped off TB.

Motorway looks amazing at night!

Track is open again, but a check on the cache and it is missing. will replace shortly.
Area still closed while a footpath and other landscaping installed. Am checking access on a regular basis and will re-enable when access fully restored.
I was passing by so thought I might try to get this one. There is no access to the walkway from either end at the moment because of ongoing construction in the area.
Clue was very appropriate as my daughter discovered the cache just after finding a dead bird
Tricky to find proper entrance. But
never mind since I happened on the Community Coffee Spot (S36 52.543 E174 41.956) in an old container. Coffee and cinnamon bun both hit the spot.

Decided to pick up some geocaches between the rain showers today. Left TB. TFTC
Been wanting to do this one for ages. On this fine winter's day... a lovely walk through this little park with my buddy goober24.
Quick find. Still safe and sound in the nest! What an interesting reserve! Never knew it was here! Tftc

no trade
thanks for the cache

P.S. Unser Leihmaskottchen, Travelbug Rascal the little racoon, war natürlich wieder mit auf der Tour, auch wenn es noch kein Ziel von der Aufgabenliste zu erreichen gibt.

I've been wanting to do this one for quite some time as it is almost over the fence from some friends of mine. So today while I was visiting we went for a walk and found the cache. Nice walk track from which to watch all the new motorway changes. TFTC.
Managed to park at the closest entry to this cache giving me a short walk to GZ. Huge changes going on in this area. Tftc
Another awesome little spot I never knew existed. Haven't been down that part of Auckland for over 30years. cheers V.
Yeah we got it ! Off on Waterview trail today .....Very slippery with all the rain ! Had wrong footwear again oops !
Found after a brief search. I didn't understand the hint so just checked the likely spots and I located the cache in the second place I searched, although my GPSr coords were about 9m off. Covered well before leaving. TFTC.
Decided to take a left hand turn into this area off GNR to finally get this cache. Made one wrong driving turn before finding the park entrance. As I was walking along it was great to see the kitesurfers having fun on the other side of the motorway. Didn't realise the motorway was so noisy! TFTC.
Bit of a wrong turn near the find but using the hint the cache was easily found in the end.
Second ever find in NZ.

Found my way into the park easily enough however nearly went for a slip on one of the sloping paths. Take care. Had no troubles locating the cache. Thanks!
Only one entrance now with the waterview connection construction in full swing, bit of a detour to get to it. But easy enough at GZ.
We decided to find a few caches south of the bridge, only this one took us longer to find the entrance to the park than the actual cache. All good though, nice and dry and covered well.
went sans gps hunting, after an hour off the track with only level 3 zoom on a paper map i gave up,
will return with level 2 map later today or with gps this week.

No problems finding the accessway. A very nice hide. All good. Re-covered well on leaving. TFTC.
This cache keeps on appearing on my GPS screen as a cycle up NW motorway cycle path but it's across the mangroves. So today, made a special deviation to nab the cache. Esplanade was muddy and steep in places so walked the bike. Thanks for a good sized cache in a place I had never been to before.
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
A quick diversion on the way home to pick up this cache which we have been meaning to do for a while. A brief search at GZ and we found the cache. Swapped geocoins.

Out shopping at nearby Pt Chev shops, and decided to nab this one before the major Motorway earthworks get under way, in case it disrupts access to this cache. Used the cache name to guide me to the appropriate access point. Pleasant walk on a marginal day. Cache safe and sound, and nice and dry. Left a geocoin for the next finder. Thanks for the cache.
The esplanade walk was so wet as to be almost impassable without proper shoes or boots but pleased I got this one as appears it hasnt been visited in a while. Dropped a few small trade items.

Approaching from the right direction is deffinatly a bonus, Cache all safe an dry with great cammo (au natural), Couldn't get over how loud the moterway is, TFTC
Decided to do a quick bit of caching on my way in to work. Taking the advice I planned my way in and was only a hundred or so meters from the cache. When I got to GZ the GPS was pointing about eight meters further in and I thought, nah! So I looked at where I thought it would be and found it. Quick sign off and on to the next in the area. TFTC!
Out and about this afternoon for a little caching. My first sp8sm8 cache in daylight hours for some time! Nice little area and a quick find of the cache was made. Took the TB to move on. Cheers for the cache.
