9914. Found this during our holiday around the USA.
After a very short visit to Biloxi we grabbed a hire car and headed firstly East for a few caches then West for New Orleans. This was the second stop. Took a few minutes then made the find. Signed, returned, then continued on our way.
Thanks mitrustme !!

Spent the weekend on the coast and came up here for some caching every chance I got. There are some excellent finds in this series and for the most part they are all well maintained and close to the coords posted. There are some water hazards for sure as well as thorns, mosquitoes and your friendly state trooper or two. It was the first cool weekend of the fall and with the overcast skies everyone seemed to want to stay inside, fewer muggles this way. I had a great time finding these and will be back to finish the rest that I didn't have time to get to. Thanks for Placing.
Found it! Log was soaked and in bad shape. We replaced with a fresh one! TFTC
Day Eight of our "10 Day Southern Gulf Coast Geocaching Adventure".
Our goal for this adventure - visit 5 States that we have never cached in before (Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida), spend lots of time along the Ocean, and take in a little bit of Mardi Gras. The plan - starting from New Orleans head East on I-10 into Florida picking up a couple of power trails along the way and then take the scenic route along the Gulf of Mexico on the way back.
After spending the night in Daphne we couldn't resist a hike along "Gator Alley" so that we could find an Earthcache in Alabama - the perfect start to an awesome day of caching.
We enjoyed spending the majority of our day exploring the backroads of Southern Alabama and Southern Mississippi. The highlights - a visit to Dauphin Island, adding Mississippi to our list of States where we have found caches, finding Earthcaches in both Alabama and Mississippi, seeing our first ever live Gator at the "Alligator Farm", and finding a cute little stuffed Gator for Mrs. Pirate to take home with her. [^]
By the end of the day we had managed to make it as far as Ocean Beach where we tried Catfish for the first time. Yummy!!! Too bad it isn't available where we come from.
Thanks for the cache.

Found with Rd King during a fourth day of caching in the area. Our main focus today was the Mississippi Star geo-art and we were not disappointed. It is a very nicely done state star in a great area for caching. We encountered some deer hunters but there were no problems and everyone was happily doing their "own-thing". Signed the log VATN and replaced as found. Today's weather was perfect with just a little bit of mud left from yesterday's rain. We found some other assorted caches on our way to doing the star and then afterwards we found some of the South Alabama and South Mississippi back roads caches. Thanks to mitrustme for placing and maintaining this cache.
Last day of a 4-day, 4 state cache run with HDJP. Spent our last day completing a well done series and tackling many other great hides. Unfortunately, yesterday's rain prevented us from tackling many hides. Those we did attempt were right where they were supposed to be, although many took a bit to find. Replaced logs and damaged containers as necessary. Many thanks to all those who created, place and maintained these hides. As a group y'all have certainly created a target rich environment, TFTC(s)
JL and I our visiting Alabama and Mississippi today while celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in New Orleans. We were adding two new states to our geocaching calender. This was our first visit to Alabama. We had got another cache that show Alabama on the geopage, but by the survey marker location we were in Mississippi. (my first time there too.) We found it quickly, but it appears that the magnet that was holding the container has fallen off. TFTC.
