Nabbed this on the way back down the hill from the skyline via the 500 day challenge. Now off to an event in town. Thanks.
Found, on random walk so no pen unfortunately. Great track, very rugged and steep.
Heading up the hill today specifically for a Challenge cache I qualify for. A great walk up the hill, on a sunny, cold, dry, windy day. Have been waiting for the rain to stop and these tracks to dry out. I timed it perfectly. No problems finding the cache, which was as per the hint - always good, as my GPS can't cope with wooded areas, so not usually much cop in those circumstances. The cache was nice and dry and there were two small coins in there which I couldn't read without my glasses on After finding this cache, I carried on up the hill to some others and then came out at the top to gorgeous views.TFTC taybee ,';*={thanks}-*;', ,;:*(thanks}:*;*:{thanks}*:;, ,;{thanks}:;:*{thanks}:;:{thanks);, `;:{thanks};:{thanks}:;{thanks}:;' `*&;:{thanks}:;:{thanks},:;&*' `-+;:*{thanks}*:;+-` `-\\\||///-' __ \\||// __ / `------' \ | }-(______)-{ | \___/ |||| \___/ /_, |||| ,_\ \| |/(This is Ramble #6, counting towards GC2XBA7 Rambler's Reward Challenge).
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there we are staying in Wellington & decided that we needed to tidy up some Mystery Caches we had parked up in the Karori Cemetery & walked in from there & completed 2 x Mystery Caches & were on our way back to the vehicle when we thought we should grab this one on the way through the cache was an easy find, Logbook completed & cache replaced as found were pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS #6,012 for Us!
This was a quick find while passing by this afternoon. Thanks very much for the cache.
Found with NZ_B who wanted to do a bit of a bush walk. It's an awesome day for a walk - neutral temperature... practically no weather at all - not hot, not cold, not sunny, not windy, not rainy, not foggy. Just some cloud.AS we are in the bush I have my GPS on my but it is seriously running low on battery, but it coped enough to find this. There is a seat here! Normally I sit and look at the view, but... well, there isn't one.
The Seagnoid came for a walk with me and the bush as I wanted to find and sign a write note log on three challenges for when I qualify later this year. We found this cache as we were returning to the car. It was good to do a loop rather than go back on the track we had already walked. It was a great walk and I really do enjoy the New Zealand bush. We had piwakawakas following us at one stage and even spotted a kereru high up in the canopy. It was a great day to walk as it was cool and there was no rain. Kia ora rawa atu for the cache taybee.
Parked at a playground and took a lengthy walk to GZ. I see it reaches the Skyline tracks.A quick find thanks to the hint. The cache is in good condition. The log is a little damp but signable. Cheers.Sleepy was here!
Roadtripping in NZ from Finland. We searched a couple of caches on our morning hike before hitting off to Martinborough and winetasting. This was one of them. It was actually quite visible. We tried to hide it a bit better to avoid muggles.
Trouve ! / Found it ! Facile, efficace et divertissante. Merci 4235me cache trouve.Merci taybee pour la cache Easy, effective and entertaining. Thank you 4235th cache found.Thank you taybee for the cache
After the climb up we were grateful for the bench and enjoyed a picnic here. The cache was soon in hand, the toddler found it. Thanks for leading us here. We left a European and Malaysian coin behind from our travels Apologies for the late log. It appears that we are nearly as bad as armchair loggers. We actually DO go out and find the caches but because we plan to write up longer and nicer logs at home we also can (read: often do) forget to do so. We could blame the teen and toddler, but travelling the world then moving into a new country unexpectedly (NZ) means we were always busy and now have 500logs to catch up on they are all from drafts so the date of the log will be when we actually visited (not today) which will align with the physical paper log but not CO receiving this email.
Havent been on this trail before - always enjoy new tracks for me! Came up on the seat and thought Id check how far on to puff my way up - only to discover it was here! Had a quick look and could actually spy things from the track so, once signed, covered a bit more. Many thanks- just super!
Nice quick find after a wee slog up the hill on a gorgeous day. Loving the seat to sit on to sign the log! Aaah! Having a little breather before more uphill climbing. TFTC
Had to improvise on the writing utensil for this one. Hope it suffices. Have included a photo as well
Went to the Moko tree, and decided I may aswell get this one otherwise I might not get it again. TFTC
Out for a walk this morning making a few finds. When I first arrived there were four women sitting on the bench so I continued up the hill to the 500 days cache. I hoped that they were having a short lunch but no they were still there when I returned. Ok, time to introduce them to Geocaching. Two of them had heard about it. That was good. We got chatting while I made the easy find and sign. There was only one local among them and one I will get to say hello to again at the Bay Park Arena this weekend during the NZ Bridge Congress. A small world we Kiwis live in. TFTC
Same as the last finder, the cache was just sitting out in the open on the track. 7yo grandson discovered it and realised it was a cache. Didn't have a pen as we weren't there for geocaching so took a photo of it on the seat.
I suspect it may previously have been returned to the larger tree from which the recent high winds would have easily dislodged it. We returned it low down in the adjacent tree where there certainly appeared to be a cache nest where strong winds wouldn't bother it.

Reached 200 today on the Otari circuit. Found on the ground, but replaced not on the ground. TFTC.
After work walk up to the 500 day challenge cache, with a welcome rest stop here. Thanks for this cache in such a lovely spot.
A quick easy find on my way up to the Skyline - popped log into a smaller dry plastic bag. TFTC
A welcome bench to rest and have a drink on our way round the blue trail. Cache 3 on our walk along the blue track at Otari Wilton
Had a nice walk up from Karori Cemetery, along some of the Skyline trail and then down to this cache and back through the bush to the cemetery. A quick find here using hint 1. Like others before me I found the cache at ground level and replaced it as I found it (with cover) as I wasn't sure exactly where it was supposed to be. TFTC
Last cache in Otari for the day. Found it on the ground, couldn't guess where original spot was, so left it there with a bit of cover. Sad to see Darwins barberry in undergrowth. Tftc!
#1126. I was on a mission over the last few days to get a bunch of virtuals, letterbox hybrids, challenge caches and any traditionals that happened to get in the way during my trip to Wellington. This cache right here was one such traditional that was on the way to the 500 Day Challenge further up the hill.
I found the cache on the ground which was at odds with where hint 2 said it would be. I left it in the same place I found it. It could do with a CO check to put it back where it's supposed to be. I also found the coordinates to be quite far out but with hint 1 I was able to find it fast.
Thanks very much for the cache!

Fell out the the tree, put back in tree. Another found by the bounty geo hunters. TFTC
Coords seemed quite a bit out but the hint coupled a bit of common sense soon had the cache in hand.
Second evening of walking 'round in the Otari-Wilton bush, and gathering caches as I go. This was one. Trees were messing with GPS location all night, and here was no different. Trusted instinct instead and found after a bit of searching, all safe and dry. TFTC.
The bench is a welcome rest
on a hot day. A lovely walk -made all the better by geocaches along the way! TFTC

Out walking the skyline track, dropped down to go home and found this on the way. Thanks for setting up the cache.
Very sensible to double wrap the cache. Found ok. Thanks again for the great Cache.
(# 4712). Went for a walk in Wilton Bush starting at Karori Cemetery. I wanted to clear my outstanding caches in the bush and get solved puzzles. A nice morning to go for a walk. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
Cache #9 that I found on my Otari - Skyline walk, muddy trail but it's challenging. Greetings from Indonesia and TFTC
We are keen geocachers on holiday from Tauranga and gathering a few smileys as we go. Called in here and easily spent a couple of hours in this lovely park. Easy find thanks to the good clue. TFTC
The GPS initially directed me to a place that didn't seem like a very logical hiding place. When I checked the hint, the hint object was nowhere to be seen.So I went up the track a bit more and found it around the corner. I then went about where the hint suggested and noticed the GPS was now claiming I was around 15m away. The next part of the hint was a bit misleading but I found the cache anyway. Keeping an eye on the GPS while I was signing I don't think the distance was ever very close. I didn't take an averaged reading which would have got to the bottom of that mystery but anyway, objective complete. TFTC.
In town on family business with a few hours up my sleeve and a great day. So its of to one of my favourite haunts - Otari Bush. Been here many times with Taybee NZ when he was little. Great place.
Cheers
Cheers
Nice bush walk up from Karori Boneyard. I guess the container and hint are *technically* correct TFTC taybee.
A DNF but certainly not for lack of trying on this one (check out the lengths we went to in the photo)...still not entirely what "top tree" could mean aside from top of the tree TFTC
A quick find after coming down the loop after picking up GSEL's 500 day challenge. TFTC.
A nice quick find while completing the loop walks in this beautiful bush. Cache all good. TFTC
At the top of the Blue track Now back to the picnic area and then head for home TFTC
A lovely walk from the Rimu and Kahikatea caches and a lovely place to rest. Super easy find. TFTC!
We were only going to go as far as "Kahikatea" but decided we were this close we might as well do the whole loop. Had to wait for muggles to head off before we could go in for the grab. Quick find - tftc
Wasn't going to come up this far but thought we may as well now that we were there. Straightforward thanks to hint but had to wait for muggles to go past. Found it on a tour of Wiltons bush with a friend, signed as Charley and Erin. Thanks for hiding this cache.
Fairly easy find, wasn't sure at first and had to wait for muggles to pass but all good. Found with Charley, TFTC
Good walk in the bush on a rather warm Sunday afternoon. Found three caches along the blue track. Carried on to this one after successful finds with previous two. Used the hint and located quickly. #1113. TFTC.
3rd target, 3rd find, so I'm pleased with the trip so far. From here it's up to the Skyline Walkway for four more caches, if I'm lucky! TFTC!
Nice easy find. All in good order. The hike up here was more than justified by the pair of Kaka I encountered on the track on the way back. Couldn't get a decent photo because of rain and low light TFTC
Weee first to sign this new log book! Nice little spot here, perfect anount of sun exposure on a very nice weekend day. TFTC
Doing a maintenance Run ito day have change log and up size cache to a 200ml all set to go again
Needs a new log. Didn't want to sign as I thought I might destroy the log. Photo of my position attached for proof.
Whew! That was quite a hike! Yosser 9 insisted on taking the steep route, so the seat at GZ came in handy as I was quite puffed by the time we got there. The cache was surprisingly well hidden - it was visible from just one angle, or so it seemed. As others have said, the log sheet is a bit worse for wear (but it is still usable). Then it was back down the hill - a rather treacherous exercise, given the muddiness! TFTC.
A bit of a walk around the blue track this afternoon. The walk took a bit longer than expected but the cache was quickly found. Log looks like its the original and fraying badly but all dry. May need some attention soon as nearly full anyway. Thanks for the afternoons exercise and thanks for the cache.
Found with no pen/pencil as caught without but we have attached a photo of the log which we hope will be acceptable. Log paper is rather disintegrating but a good spot for a break regardless. Tftc
Cache was easily found just as described. The log was a little damp but still writable. Down the track the kohekohe trees are in bloom so all the tuis are out. The best time for a visit.
While logging, there were about 4-5 Tui's around and above me - what a noisy log

A quick find with TregearP on the afternoon of Good Friday.
All in good order. TFTC.

#673. The family were out on a bush walk on Good Friday. We came here via the Karori cemetery. A well formed track but a lot of up and down sections and some good leg work-outs. The GPS was well out initially under the trees but quickly settled near the obvious hint object and the cache was spotted shortly after. Nice forest, enjoyable walk. TFTC
#1573 Was very glad for the seat by the time I got here!! Phew, what a walk. I'd better get climbing more hills! Lucky there's plenty of geocaches still to find which offers me enough incentive to get out. Cache quickly found and replaced and took the opportunity to have a wee rest before continuing the loop. TFTC!
Quick find today while out walking the trails and picking up some caches with pundle66. TFTC
Nice easy find - However log was damp and full and there is a hole in the film canister. TFTC
#103. Shall we walk up the hill a bit further for one more cache? Why not! A quick find on an afternoon walk in our favourite park. Tftc!
The clue said to look for a seat, there was no seat there?? Had a good hunt around the rimu tree, but couldn't find it
Hooray - my 100th cache find. This one had me breathless as I climbed the track to reach it. I grabbed the cache and took advantage of the handy seat to get my breath back, feeling pleased I had the cache in hand, pleased I'd reached my 100th, and pleased that this path goes downhill from here. Now I know why it's called "Top Tree." Incidentally, I cleaned out 2 slugs, from the canister. It looks like they have started to eat through the wall of the canister. Tftc.

Cache # 1,915 - Had been aiming for Kahikatea, but didn't read the description and ended up here first instead. A fairly long walk in the dark and the mud - 4 km round trip from the car park. Cache was an easy find, even in the dark, as there were only a couple of spots it could be. All well there. TFTC!
