Stopped to replace the logbook and discovered that the amazing fence - the reason for this cache - has gone. Will watch what happens here but likely to be archived. It's had a fun life!
Being trying to get a thirty day run of getting at least one cache a day it is now 20 straight days in a row and of those 20 days it has been raining for eight of them when I have been out caching and today it is raiining here in Wanganui so I deiced to head over to Sanson and try my luck there
Nice and easy park and Grab

The german cacher that was heading direction Wellington came also to this place and took a short stop because he needed a moment for orientation, where to go next. A look on the map answered this question and also showed a cache just 20m away, so i went for it. Discovery was easy and so i'm in this log now.
Nice house and garden btw.
Thank you for hiding this cache and maintaining it.

In the Manawatu for the weekend with some caching buddies- Uncle Sam, NZTravellers, Stik-a-crane, HeMaLuDy. The goal was to find as many of the caches in the area as we could in the space of a day, and we all had a blast jumping in and out of the cars, racing each other to the caches, and laughing and joking along the way, and in we general had an awesome weekend down here.
After a while we started playing "musical cars"- and would race each other back to the cars in order to vie for prime position.... or just to pip someone else at the post..... it was rather hilarious, mainly because of the creative ways of piling into cars or sneaking in just before someone else when you knew they were aiming for that seat. One or two people may have accidently (or not so accidentally) have got sat on!!!!!
This one was a quick team find- a break in all of the trails we were doing today!
Apologies for the generic logs.... with over 200 caches found in one day, it was virtually impossible to remember each individual cache!

In town with a group hunting down caches for a big day... our goal was for 200 finds today and we were making good progress, so passing by we decided to take a look for this one....
Liked the iron art works on the fence here.

Our team from Auckland wanted to do a major day of caching, so headed down to Foxton area for a massive day. We got about 205.
Very sorry for the generic logs, but when doing so many in one day very hard to make notes on each.
But a big thank you to all the cache owners for putting out all of the great caches we visited.

We were down from Auckland for the weekend to tackle a number of the power trails in the area - the goal for the weekend was to increase our numbers and we achieved 140 caches today. A nice quick find here. Logged as team SEAC to save room on the logs - today we were with darthcacher1, purply, newlynfam, stik-a-crane, NZTravellers, UncleSamNZ.
We appreciated having a cache here and making us stop and enjoy the artwork nearby - we often drive past and never knew it was here.

Let the Mega adventure begin! After spending the night in Fielding I spent the morning in Manawatu. I picked up Bbear44 and now we're on our way with lots of stopping to Turangi. Yay. Love it! A favorite point.
Wahoo just flew into Palmy to meet cache buddy Nosynel and heading toward the mega in Turangi collecting a few caches on the way would be rude not too Cheers for the hide.
An interesting family indeed. Thanks for placing a cache here. I've passed this garden quite a few times and always meant to stop. Today I got the opportunity.
Sanson.
After checking into our accommodation we had lunch & a rest .
In the afternoon we headed out onto the KAZ trail. This was liking a tiki tour of the area around the farming country side.
Thanks for placing this cache edvern

Road trip to Ohakune for a mountain trip from Palmerston North. First stop en route for a geocache stop! Thanks for hiding and a very cool place!! We have taken design tips for our house build!
Thanks for the nice and easy find edvin. We (myself and lil_taurus) waved to the locals.. TFTC
Last time we were in New Zealand and spend our holiday on the Northern Island – that was fantastic!
We landed in Wellington and from this great town we went through the island – we were near Mt. Taranaki, in the Tongariro Nationalpark, on Lake Taupo, in two Thermal Areas, in Rotorua, on Coromandel Peninsula, on the Bay of Islands, on the Ninety Mile Beach, in the Sand Dunes, on Cape Reinga and in Auckland.
All the time we visited there the main attractions – but we wanted to do our hobby (geocaching), too.
So we looked for the boxes next to the highways and on all the wonderful places of this very nice Island.
Here we could found the box very well, we say thanks to the owner and thanks for the cache.

I've driven past here plenty of times but the traffic has always been too heavy to stop here to say hello. Today was pretty quiet so we did a quick drive by. Unfortunately, there were no locals to wave at today.

Enjoying my road trip from wellington to whangarei. Collecting caches in the towns and cities as I pass through them
Had flown to Palmerston North with our sales account manager to visit a few customers and then drive down to Wellington to visit some more.
Luckily everyone at works knows about my geocaching addiction and trips like this have to accommodate a couple of finds. Had attempted a couple of caches in Palmy without success and was starting to worry that I may not get a cache of the day.
Driving through Sanson I yelled out STOP there's one RIGHT THERE! He pulled over and I leapt out of the car and made the quick find. PHEW this means our caching streak continues at day 144!
Signed the log and returned the cache to its hidey hole.

(Excuse the black tyre rubber marks outside GZ where we stopped relatively quickly )

#1825 As i was picked up just after 4am to head to the Manawatu I realised this was not going to be a dot day. This was an attempt to get 270 caches in one day. There are a couple of great circuits in the Manawatu that will help work toward this goal so thanks to the CO's that have placed them for our enjoyment.
Thanks also to my partner in geo crime and driver for the day Yetrees. Without an able driver an attempt such as this would be impracticable so thanks for enabling it.
Thanks to all the CO's for their contribution to my smilie tally.
It is forecast to be a long day geocaching, hoping to make the 270 target. To be honest I'd be pretty happy with 200, however why not go for the Emerald badge (see project-gc.com)

Would have been an easy find if Himself hadn't overshot the mark and then had to do two u-turns on the busy road! However, on second landing attempt the cache was found with no difficulty. Many thanks!
This cache was one of the many caches we found on our 6 day campervan journey from Tauranga to Lower Hutt via Waihi, Cambridge, New Plymouth and along the west coast to Wanganui and back to the Hutt. A mighty and enjoyable journey which took us to many great and iconic parts of the north island and of course some great geocaches. Many thanks to the many CO's for the great cache placements and for bringing us to so many new places. Sorry about the generic log but 200 plus to log. TFTC
Great Sunday drive around the manawatū and rangitikei area. TFTC. Happy hunting
On our car ride home to Whanganui we stopped to find this cache...after braving the scary bugs, we were greeted by a friendly caterpillar tftc

On our seventeenth day in New Zealand we traveled from Wellington to New Plymouth.

We flew over 20500 kilometers to get to New Zealand. [^] There in Queenstown we started our magnificent and unforgettable journey along the whole NZ. First we drove through south island and then the north island to Auckland. Altogether over 3000 kilometers by car and so many glorious and beautiful views, animals and plants we saw. [^] We fell in love with the country for life. Unfortunately we had only three weeks to spend for our holidays, but we really hope, we’ll be back.
After seven spelling challenge caches we headed back to the main road and towards Horopito. Of course we didn't want to forget caches still. So, we stopped here and found the cache quite soon. Thanks for the cache and very many greetings from Finland.

Heading north from Blenheim to Hamilton this day, had time to grab a couple of caches along the way. Had to make a quick grab between traffic flows, but managed it. No time to meet the locals unfortunately, tho. TFTC
Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!
Greetings from Finland

Fifth day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand, and caching our way towards south. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka. Driving to south and heading to Christchurch Mega event. Today we headed to Wellington to catch a ferry tomorrow. Tooking some 'detours' via caches of course.
On a geoholiday road tripping to Christchurch MEGA and around beautiful New Zealand. Our four people group (temyllyl, laalaa, kapeka and myself) from Finland used group tag FIN to log the caches.
Welcome to MEGA Finland in 5-7 august 2016!
Today we drove from Whanganui to Wellington and stopped to some caches on the way. This was fast find. TFTC!

This a wonderful geocache I like it a lot.
At first I thought this was just a little weird container before I realised it was the geocache I had been looking for.
Thanks edvern.

With an unexpected week off work, it was time for a geocaching roadtrip. I called Bchefj&p and they were also available for a mid week trip. We left Hastings at 6am and departed for the Palmy area with the main mission for today being the KAS Power Trail, and any others that we might be able to grab while we had day light. I ended the day having found 168 caches and DNFed on only 3. Thanks to all the CO's for their placements.
Heading home now, but always time to grab another. #164th find of this day on this epic road trip.

A mission was needed to complete one of the last few licence challenges on Rangitoto Island, so a passing comment to C&D at an event and this mission was soon planned. We nearly achieved what we set out to accomplish, with only 1 more cache to find to complete the challenge but that was due to miss-reading the fine print on the challenge page.
So with the mission lasting 48 hours we amassed a great set of numbers, 317 caches found, just over 1200km travelled, about 7 hours of sleep, C&D finding his 180th earthcache, completing the KAS powertrail in under 3 hours and finding numerous amazing geocaches. A lot of fun was had along the way, and some great memories were created. A big thanks to everyone for placing all the caches along the way, this mission wouldn't have been as much fun if they weren't there!
What a neat place, took a few moments to locate an in a place I wasn't quite expecting. Nice little hide.

Found this log after a having a coffee break at Sassy café on the way drive from New Plymouth to Wellington. Nice house nice neighborhood. TFTC
After attending my very first event I introduced another friend to caching and helped him find the cache ! Great place to hide the cache I always look at this place as I pass
I love quirky NZ houses and gardens and this one definitely hits the mark. The cache was quickly located and replaced as found. Thanks for the smiley, edvern.
Stopped off to get some (cheap) burgers and petrol in Sanson, on our pretty much non-stop drive from Wellington to Auckland. Ate our burgers here before nabbing the cache, and continuing on our way. Thanks for the cache.
Our very first one, took us a while but we got it. Yay onwards and upwards with the family
I head past here rather frequently but I have usually only just stopped to get a coffee so plan to collect this cache "next time". Well next time came today. Deciding to head up to NP for Easter I checked my caching stats and discovered today was a dot day- so lined up a couple of caches to pick up on the way. This cache has been the only one left for me in Sanson for some time so I planned ahead and made a coffee in a travel mug before I left home then stopped outside this interesting house to collect the cache. The actual retrieval of the cache was not too difficult and I soon had it in my hand and signed. Thanks for the cache and the smiley.
Heading homeward from PN and saw this was on the way through so a quick stop and signing took place in the dark.
Thanks for the placement edvern.
