As this cache has been out of action for too long and the cache owner has not performed any maintenance, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Although a little soggy, our spirits were not to be dampened as we triumphantly found this cache!

Had to be sneaky with this one as a lot of muggles out playing sport on the adjacent fields but got in and out unnoticed.

Managed to get a park close by which was good as the contents of the container are wet including the log. I pressed between a towel to try dry it a bit but the container needs maintenance. TFTC

Had to wait for runners to both get the cache and put it back. When one went another seemed to appear from nowhere! Thanks

Rainy day so sports grounds closed, good time to poke around but didn't find cache or what it was under.

Found while waiting for Aerosmith concert. There was a bike parked right near it so tried not to look suspicious. The log book is saturated so didn't even attempt to sign the log.

We went in search for this cache while waiting for the gates for the Paul Simon concert to open, and used our stealthiest tactics to retrieve it while a rugby game was going on in the field alongside. We were, however, greeted with a very dejected-looking log that was almost impossible to sign it was so wet. Cache was placed back as found, thanks!

The Jo half of the team had a conference all day so Joe went for a walk finding a few caches on the way. Through the botanic gardens, back to check out the University bookshop, then off over Flagstaff. This was first for the day.

Managed to find this one whilst passing on the way out of town. After this cache was found there were to be no more 'allowed' this day, it was mrs capperz's trip after all!
On holiday in the lower South Island as a 50th birthday trip for mrs capperz. We flew from Manawatu down to CHCH then hired a car and drove down to Dunedin, via Oamaru, for a few days in a local motel. Whilst in the area we found a few caches, of course, and today when I was researching some details for a puzzle cache of mine I noticed that I was missing a few caches from our visit (yeah I know, 4 and a half years ago!) . Can only recall 4 fro Dunedin and luckily still have a PQ from 2013 so able to track down some of them. The others will be missed unfortunately (one in a supermarket carpark, another alongside a stream- not sure exactly where)

Having lunch at the stadium with two colleagues, when I mentioned geocaching. They said are there any around here? So we looked, and there was. TFTC. Log sheet full.

Lovely day for a lunchtime run and hunt. Did some highly convincing stretches while retrieving and then filling the log in, no Muggles about to appreciate my performance though. TFTC

I had a Super 15 travel bug that I was wanting to leave in this cache given that it is so close to the home of the Highlanders (Nonu Nonu Nonu Boom), alas the container is too small. I did manage to squeeze in a different one though. I'm with the better half of the Dunedin population - I love our new stadium!!! TFTC

Today tikitour and I have teamed up with Riser5 - another Whangarei cacher - and with 'youth' on his side he makes so many of our finds look easy...
Would have loved to have come to the markets here on Sunday - think Dunedin is lucky to have such an amazing facility - enjoy!! Actually felt I could have stayed i here all weekend...

In Dunedin from Whangarei with flowernz for the MEGA having a great time finding some of the south caches. Really enjoying the locations the caches are taking us to. Doing a trip out to Aromoana today with Riser5 as well. Caching along the way of course. Had heard and read so much about this building had to come and see it. Very impressive, would love to see a game here one day. cache soon in hand. TFTC

Was in Dunedin to attended the first ever Mega in New Zealand. Managed to work it out so that I was able to team up with fozzmiester and agcnz on an 8 day caching trip around the South Island, this was day 3 of the road trip.

After finding GC29FEB - Otago University (Dunedin, Otago), this was the next cache that we had on our list that we needed to find today. We just needed to go out and stretch our legs and find a few more caches after dinner at the MEGA. This cache was situated close to the University of Otago

As we neared the final GZ we managed to find a nice parking spot not too far away from GZ and once we got out of the car it was a quick easy walk over to cache, managed to find it quickly, retrieved, signed and replaced it back as found. Thanks BirdFlu for placing this cache here and for bringing us to this spot. TFTC TNLNSL (5056).

After the CITO event we were visitng the caches around the city area. Being Sunday it was a bit quieter on the roads. We arrived and began our hunt. A couple paid homage to the game they play in heaven while the rest of us had our minds on he job. Ozibags made the find. Let's go.

Well the Stadium is well known in the household of myself and MrMeccano, especially as MrMeccano is a participant of the religious of the order practised across the road. Well it is played in Heaven! We like to stress that we are faithful Reds supporters!

While some of us admired the site, Ozibags secured the find!

The group converged on GZ and the hunt was on. I picked a spot that could well have housed the cache but I was a couple of metres out and as I investigated, OziBags pulled the cache from an identical place a little further over... [^]

With the stadium in view, the log was signed and we shot through.

Day 8 of our N Z Mega Event adventure - we awoke to another day just right for caching and sightseeing. We had no difficulty locating the cache and with the log quickly signed, it was now time to jump into our cache mobile to see what other caches we could find for the day. Found on our short but Mega trip across the ditch. we flew in to Christchurch on Friday, drove to Dunedin on Saturday, cached on Sunday, drove back to Christchurch on Monday and flew home on Tuesday. Tiring, expensive and well worth it.

My GPSr compass led me quite the merry dance, circling from where I parked to GZ. By virtue of watching the numbers, I got to the right place, though was momentarily alarmed by a decoy before finding the cache itself. Impressive looking stadium! TFTC, BirdFlu. =^.^=
