Our last days of our four weeks holiday in New Zealand. We had a cleary day and night at Lake Tekapo. Made some beautiful pictures of the milkyway above the Church of the Good Shepard. We had this cache in our GPS and now I see it's archived. We found a cache container this morning and wrote down our name so a found!

A shame you archived this. We had left a pretty serviceable replacement under a mini cairn.
Well sorta found it... cache container found in several bits and no log in sight. Have photo to send to cache owner. As MacPacMum lost her wallet a revisit to all the caches was required this morning. First MacPacMum found the log for the broken container and went to the car to get a replacement container. Sharkiefan looked for rocks to hide it and found a 2nd cache container like the first one on other side of rock. So have taken away broken container and put all logs into one container that is also a bit broken.
Oh no! Found it in bits with no log. Macpacmum has taken a photo. Looked around just incase it was a decoy but found nothing else. Tftc
Spent the weekend in Tekapo, unfortunately this is as close as we got to Mt John on this visit. Great weekend, TFTC.
One of sixteen caches found on our trip from Twizel to Christchurch today.
Nice quick find.

I love this type of cache container, very clever. Luckily I didn't take long to find it. Container has a slight crack in it, but contents still OK after yesterday's rain. TFTC
We found this cache during our nice stay in Tekapo. Its a very nice small town..

This area has definitely changed since I last came through! A few too many people around for my taste but I can understand the appeal. TFTC

My foot hurts when walking, but cycling goes fine. So that's what I did today.
You had me fooled for a second, but no longer. TFTC

While traveling in NZ from Japan by a campervan for a month, I visited the cache. Caches make travels much fun. Thank you.
This one was fairly easy to find when the hint was taken at face value. TFTC. Nice hide.

In Tekapo for the Canterbury Orienteering champs. With some time to fill in before dark, it was off to find some more caches. Initially this was a DNF, but stopped here again after finding Whitewater and found quickly. (Actually found 2 identical caches in the same spot but only signed one log). TFTC.

Going caching in New Zealand. Starting again from Queenstown going Westcoast up and Eastcoast down.. A nice bunch of caches wanted to be found. We liked the nice weather. Thanks for all the nice caches.
After NZ Mega event, accompanied with Sp00k & Ciotach on carvanning and travelling south/west tour. Thanks for bringing us to the spot, a beautiful view and the cache.
Found it with Varuna on our way home the long way from the NZ Mega event. TFTC
We found this cache as part of our NZ Mega Event adventure as we were slowly making our way back to Christchurch to fly home. We had arrived at Lake Tekapo on a bright and sunny afternoon the day before, but awoke to another cold and overcast morning. After having breakfast, we first made our way up to the observatory on Mt John and were amazed at the effect glaziers have had on the landscape below. We then headed back into the township to find a few more caches before continuing north. We were able to locate the cache quickly enough and with the log signed, we headed back to our cache mobile to continue our travels. Thank you for having placed the cache Bitsprayer

Another reasonably quick driveby on our return trip to Christchurch. Lake Tekapo very much reminds me of Jindabyne in NSW. Thanks Bitsprayer. We seem to have found a fair few of your caches.

Just up the road from my accomodation. Seen plenty like this before. some nice new developments popping up here.
Well onto day two of my trip to NZ !!!
The aim of the today was to meander down through the center of the Island
covering about 200 km from Geraldine to Alexandra visiting a few touristy spots and picking
up a few caches on route.
I had heard that it was a scenic drive, but was still totally wowed by the diversity of
environments on show. Some quite incredible places.
Found this one with no issues.

Travelling in our Geo Hire Car with the Aussie flag flying (almost Aussie ribbons now ), tends to attract a few comments from muggles, we were heading from Geraldine to Alexandra.
We didn't leave till nearly 9am but also didn't arrive in Alexandra till nearly 8pm, with lot's of caches picked up enroute and a lengthy stop to enjoy the scenery and a coffee after lunch.
This route was suggested to us on the local forum and we have to say, thank you very much for the information, it has proved to be a great day of epic proportions. Scenery has been fabulous even though quite cloudy for most of the day, still so much to see, enjoy and we took 100's of photo's.
We used to have a cache the same as this previously. Certainly have seen plenty of these before.

Another quick find in between passing traffic and distracted builders on the nearby house.

Somehow less religious than it sounded, but with a nice view of the snow on the mountains, if not the lake. I was interested in the moss or lichen in the grass - it makes you realize how alpine it must be here. TFTC, Bitsprayer.=^.^=
