Have had my 'eye' on this one for a while. The waypoint stages were discovered eventually. Finally pounced on the final in the dark after wery long flying visit all over Lakes District chasing my string of DNF's, 3 out of 5 vindicated. Found the 1.2lt box in good hide, though was wery empty. TNLN and grabbed the logbook in one of my PVC baggies after SL and tucked away. Found an undocumented micro at the trail head, 45° 2.151'S 168° 40.467'E SL FTF and tucked it back away. Warm wind blowing in off the lake, pink and white hawthorn trees flowering everywhere. Bliss. Time to say goodbye to this one and turn it into a couple of trads. Happy hunting Fluffy!
Well what a good jog / walk early morning upset by trying to find wayward points I wasn't sure still existed. As suggested mid last year (?) to start 1.9 km in at WP3. But my compass was pointing toward the water and anything high was private property. After 5 -10 mins moved on thinking to find view and seat but there were several nooks and crannies but no certainty wayward was there and not sure what I was looking for. Moved on with glorious sunrise appearing thinking 3 ladies can't be that hard surely but even on the way back could not spot them. Close to road and into the marina had gone the 4 km estimated and there were 2 bus stops close by. First was very exposed. Moved on and another potential one.
Like others and thinking laterally and understanding caching sometimes teaches you about history -tried somewhere possible and was rewarded. Perhaps the fuzzynz guys need to really update and check this one as there has been a lot of building along shoreline since 2010. Needs a lot of checking and maintenance- or turn this into traditional? Happy to have found it just shy of the 4 km mark. And jogged back to Copthorne where I was staying. ( left pen in cache. Pencil probably better in colder climates. Previous cache added plastic bag. Log dry. Hope a maintenance run happens.

Found with a previous finder. Good parking at the final. Signed the logbook in the empty black box. TFTC
Tried to find this one.. but could not find WP3. So I tried to find Wp4 or 5 with the description..yet no success
#8511, 16:58,
During our holidays in Newzealand we searched some Caches.
We came to Frankton and decided to walk this multi.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this box
arbor95
Together with arbor95 I am on a holiday tour in New Zealand.
We are two Germans, old friends since a long time. Together we visited a lot of other countries in the past, even before we started geocaching. [^]
For our trip we usually looking for some extraordinary caches.
Therefore we had mostly a lot of fun.
This was the second little walk for today, not that high than the first one, but finally we arrived at the target.
Thank You very much for this geocache, for the challenge and for the maintaining.
Greetings from tripleclaus to fuzzynz.

Satrted this one with Gine and hade some difficulties to find the wp's but we managed to get on our way. It was also on the way to our hotel and it was a wonderful walk. Finaly we found the cache at 13.39u.

Finaly found this nice ulti with Boris after some troubles under way. The end was easy to find and we liked the views and walk.

Ahhh. Alas! I failed at WP3 (which was the first waypoint). It happens - all good - was a lovely bike ride along this track.
I can't claim credit for having solved this mystery as a true multi because the CO gave me more than just a clue to get started. However, we were aware of the object providing the final with camouflage/protection and may well have investigated it during a walk along the walkway knowing the hide was nearby - who knows? Still, a find is a find, and find it we did! TFTC.
Although Queenstown is the epicentre for adrenaline-driven activities it is nice that you can just wander along the lake and through parks and pass a lazy afternoon...
That's what I did today. This town can really suck your credit card empty so you have to be careful! I booked the giant swing thing for tomorrow and also a heli hike on Franz Josef glacier latr this week. That must do!
Thus, I bought an ice cream and walked around town and further along Frankton walkway.
I really wanted this cache (not only because it would fill another gap in my 81 grid for multi caches...) but I was a bit worried because of all the DNFs. Luckily, sedgwickDave reported a 'find' recently!
Thus, I washopeful when I set out on the trail.
Finding the information at stage 1 already took quite a while and when I fuond them I though: *That might be a tough one...*
I went on to stage 2 where most people had difficulties! Like me! Was that it??? I didn't want to give up...
I checked and estimated distances between waypoints, read the listing and hint carefully, listened to my surroundings etc and all of a sudden I found waypoint 5! Strike! Back on track as I had missed all the previous ones...
Went to the coords I found but then: nothing... How disappointing. Oh no!!!!!
Still, I didn't want to give up. I had read previous logs and had had a look at their photos and was still hopeful. There was also a certain amount of information provided in the listing... It MUST be possible to find this cache!!!
I carried on and kept my eyes open. All of a sudden I was cheerful. Yes, that makes sense! It somehow fits in with the other details. And I didn't have to search long before holding the desired object in my hands!
Yes, yes, yes!
After my afternoon walking tour I took the bus back to Queenstown.

Day 10 of a NZ South Island exploration.
Like previous finders this one I found old school and with a lot of luck.
After a long search at the start point to realize that it was missing, scanning of the previous logs told me that the cache was still able to be found if one has luck.
So decided like others to head off and see if I too could find it.
So study of the map and what details were already know I eventually found myself where I believe the end to be.
Then a grid search was undertaken and sure enough after first checking a few spots I finally found it!!! O yeah.
A very satisfying find on a lovely afternoon.

Wp1 was easy once I figured it was what I thought it was. But stumped at wp2 can't seem to find and sign of a coordinates anywhere
Coords took us between the fence and the tree, couldn't find the cache at either. Onwards to hunt the three ladies!
At last, managed to finish this one off, after several false starts on other visits. Weather has improved after dump of snow on the hills last night. Tftc
More than 21 years have passed since my first visit to New Zealand. In 1994, I was only 12 days here, but this time I wanted to see the country a little more. Then I realized there would be a MEGA-Event in Christchurch at Labour-Weekend. I started my trip a day earlier and was happy to attend my first MEGA outside of Germany. I got much help from the cachers there, so I could visit the different event places without using the bus or a taxi. Later on the tour with my group, I could only look at the caches nearby.
Today we arrived at Queenstown only for a short stay. The weather was bad so I decided to do some geocaching instead of paying too much for silly activities. My friends left me before I could find stage 1, but after that I couldn’t find the other stages. I then used my guessing skills to locate GZ. After the find I used the bus to go back to the campsite.

The 1st waypoint was MIA which meant I couldn't find all the rest of them, though skillful observation and common sense allowed me to pinpoint the location of this one! The walk is nice as I've done it many times. TFTC
Way points were a bit tough. K found it by accident. Awesome walk though. Recommend a swim.
Second attempt at this....no luck again...it was a cold, blustery day which didn't suit the Mrs and I was given minimal time to search. Did remember to input the coords for WP3 and have a look for this on our return from Frankton......again no time to complete a thorough look....maybe next time! A great trip out!

No luck on the earlier WP's but we found the single lady and the final waypoint. A lovely ride extended to the dam on the far side of frankton. THabks for a great multi and a scenic bike ride
Finally get a smiley for this great multi.
Made a start just over 2 years ago & twice the weather was so inclement had to abandon it.
But today was the day to carry on in perfect weather. Really enjoyed the Frankton Walkway, the multi & there were many Fluffys seen along the way.
Great WPs & nice location for the final.

An afternoon to kill in Queenstown waiting for folk to arrive. What better than a nice walk, oh and a cache! Thanks.
This was really difficult, missed half of the waypoints and walked twice arround the gz. Finally with all my experience i could solve it. On the other side of the world we had an amazing experience while traveling New Zealand. Great impressions, lovely places and nice geocaches all over. Thanks for inventing and hiding. Lemmer
On great tour with Lemmer in New Zealnd we foundamazing spots. Thanks for all of it. Flatrate
We could not find the first five waypoints but guessed the sixth from the clue and the cache wad quickly found.
Maybe the earlier waypoints neef checking?
First this year.
This is a nice place and a fun walk.

Bit of a mission to get along the walkway, and rather busy today. Nice to find the final away from prying eyes.

Ok so we arrived at the start & soon found the 1st clue & plugged in the co-ords. At stage two we entered the given co-ords & soon found stage 3. We failed to locate stage 4 where Fluffy likes to swim but did find the clue at the group of three. This co-ord took us to the final location where we found the cache in great condition, yay!
A great idea for a multi & an enjoyable walk alongside the lake.

Realised I didnt have to find wp1 but searched anyway and after a short while found it on the ground so replaced back to likely spot. Wp3 no problem but wp4 had me scratching my head and finally giving up the search.
Decided to carry on and look for the other clues, missed wp5 but found a likely spot for wp6 and very glad to find it was indeed there, so off to the final and made a quick find there.
Thanks for the lovely flat walk which I certainly needed after Ben Lomond yesterday.

WP2 Has been removed so we've added the co-ords for WP3 in the listing until we find a new spot for WP2 in a couple of months time. Happy hunting!
Found WP1 on the ground so popped back into it's position. There's has been a ton of work on the path and WP2 has been removed so we'll replace this in the next day or so. All the other WP's are where they should be.
Arrived in Queenstown to do some skiing to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday. Whilst they were already out on the slopes on Friday I took the bus into town, found some caches and had a coffee. With the idea of a nice leisurely stroll back to Frankton to pick this one up. Spent a good 20-25 minutes looking for the first one.....I tried all possibilities relating to the clue in all spots around GZ but no luck. Thought that i would carry on regardless and try to workout the location of the rest using just the description and the the clues, but to no avail. Lots of work going on here at the moment - lot of tree felling and path improvements (not saying this is a reason!).
Maybe next time. Still a pleasant walk by the lake on the whole.

Spent a good 45 minutes looking got the first one, saw many potential spots but no cache found. Did the walk with my partner all the same. Hoped to find the ones with more memorable landmarks, I.e. the three ladies or seat and water one, but no luck. It has been a while since the last log and a lot of landscaping and tree felling has taken place, would be nice to know if the caches are still active so I can have another hunt. Nice walk though
South Island take 2! I got a second chance to travel around south, so I'm trying to pick up a few caches I didn't have time for the first go around. Met up with Lady of Cachealot in Queenstown and set off on this quest. I found WP1 & 2 no problem, but the rest were tricky. Using the clues, looked in areas which fit, but no luck. Climbed on rocks, up trees, & scrambled along on a wet afternoon. I managed to find the final, so all was not lost. TFTC!
Couldn't find wp4 in Nov.2011 and back for a second go.Found the final rather fortuitously.Still could not find wp4 even with guidance from CO.The most likely spot fitting her directions was some 13 or 14 m. from the given coords.according to my gpsr. However stumbled on the final(thinking it would be wp5 or wp6) and signed the log. Thanks for an enjoyable cache, and all your work setting it up.
Didnt even find the first wp....
It was also very hard due to a llot of muggles come and go everytime.

We'll be back another day to complete the challenge

I was tired after 4 and a half hours biking this morning but just didn't sort out first site. More alert partner couldn't figure either. Time for a swim and a beer instead.
WP1 has had a facelift and is back up and running. Please replace exactly as you find it. Good luck and have fun!
Mr B dropped Mrs B & the Jnrs at the start of this one .... and we started walking towards Frankton! The kids were promised a lunch reward if they found the clues and came up with the cache so were very keen to help out, even running between waypoints! We thought we would be stopped before we started when we had trouble locating WP2, but thankfully we found it eventually and the race was on to find the rest! A very well thought out multi ... and a great walk along the lakeside! It was kind of comical that Mrs B only took the wrong turn after the cache was found!! Thanks for the reason for walking this one ... well worth doing! TFTC
This really is a classic multi - every waypoint a different type of hide along a very scenic walkway. We checked with fuzzyNZ before we left home and were assured that yes, WP6 was in place. So off on the bikes, and WP2 was found instantly and lazily by Mr Daywalk while Mrs Daywalk was scrabbling frantically up the side of the track. WP3 - hah, of course. WP4 - took us some time circling, but yep, the obvious place a cacher would use once you see it. WP5 - we joined every other cacher in having a screw loose, before we looked away from the view. WP6 - around and around, even some climbing attempted, once last circle and duh, it's so obvious. Final - indeed, an interesting spot which deserves a cache. Thanks for a very entertaining morning fuzzynz!
After hanging around on a rainy and windy day the weather started to celar, so we decided to give this one a try.
We found WP2 very quickly and WP3 was also not a big problem. At WP4 we searched for a long, long time but didn't find the hint. We prepared for WP5 and WP6 by reading the hints and logs and then continued on. We didn't managed to grab WP5 but amazingly we found the hint at WP6. The three old ladys died (not by age but by a chainsaw) but the hint is still accessible. Whit that information the final was not a big deal but we wondered how previous loggers found the final without WP6 .
This was a nice alternation and the WPs we found were made really good. FP!

Our 6550th overall find.
After saying goodbye to my fellow Gangsters this morning I hired a bike and took a ride around the lake giving this one a go. I kicked off at WP 2 as instructed and I must say WP2 took much longer than it should have. WP3 was easy. WP4 took a while to locate and WP5 took ages.... I then could not find WP6 no matter how hard I looked. I read older logs looking for something and spotted something that may help with the final so off I rode and soon spotted something likely and the cache was found quickly.
I wonder if WP6 has bee caught up in a chainsaw...
Thanks fuzzynz for the cache. Stats for our trip can be found here http://www.campersdownunder.com.au/geocaching/NZTrip/stats2.html

WPT1 was on the ground? We replaced it as the hint suggests but if the CO wants to contact us we can confirm where we left it, if it can't be located.
Also the information is barely readable, think it needs a bit of a check up.

Day 13 of our NZ tour for the MEGA, we are visiting from Perth, Western Australia still driving around with our MEGA and Aussie flags on the Geo Hire Car.
We thought we would tackle this whilst here but after spending ages looking for WPT1 and eventually finding it on the ground, we were indecisive whether to continue.
After reading the cache page some more we decided it wasn't practical to do this by car and we didn't have time to do it on foot.
Shame it looked very interesting.

Having not found WP1 ourselves on Tuesday, we have removed it temporarily so the co-ords for WP2 are listed in the cache description as the starting point until we can repair WP1. Thanks for the email FelixII.
I returned to WP6 by bus today and searched and searched again with no luck. Feeling disappointed went back to the bus stop and noticed a plague which I thought made for interesting reading. Then I had this strange feeling and went wondering about. When I saw something suspicious but very familiar for a geocacher I struck a find and it was the final cache of the Frankton Walkway. Well, as I signed the log I realised that the 13th was my lucky day. Thanks fuzzynz for a great multi. Please check on the condition of WP1 and WP6. Garfield from Tasmania
Awesome cache. Thoroughly enjoyed the views and the theme as we were missing our own geocaching "fluffy" compainion, Riley on our 4th Anniversary getaway in the beautiful Queenstown. Thank you very much for the effort put in constructing this cache.
It took me two goes to complete this cache.
On the first effort I was section-hiking Te Araroa from Queenstown to Frankton and decided to follow 'The Perils of Fluffy' along the way. I thought I had lost him into the lake at one point, but managed to recover from that. However, I eventually lost him up a tree.
On this attack I started where I had last looked for him, searching in various sites, high and low but again without success. It was when I noticed a very cache-like arrangement for hiding things that I struck gold. I had stumbled across the final cache and could log it! Yahoo! I still don't know what happened to the final clue and it would be great for future seekers if the cache owner would verify it is still in place.
Whatever, this cache has taken a lot of effort to put together and was accompanied by an enjoyable yarn. Fuzzynz (and Fluffy) earn a 'favourite' point from me.

A beautiful day in Queenstown. I'd initially planned to climb Ben Lomond but was feeling too tired so decided on an easier day. Found W1-3 without too much difficulty after looking at the hints in the story and the clues, couldn't find W4 but managed to pick up W5 based on the clues; sadly couldn't persuade the ladies to give up their clue but went on to the end and guessed where to look based on the clues in the story and the comments in the logs of those people who found it without following all the clues. Sadly despite finding lots of interesting potential hiding places I wasn't able to find the cache. Enjoyed the ride along the walkway anyway.
Could not find WP 3 but fluked WP5 so all was well. Enjoyed the walk after dinner.
Bit dissappointing. We couldn't get the 1st WP. From there it was just too difficult. Finished the walk all the same.
Great walk along the waterfront! WP1 was knot that hard, WP 2 and 3 a quick find, got to wp4 but could not find the next coords. As the clues had been spot on we chanced it and guessed WP5 and after some screwing around found it where it should be, and headed to the three ladies. Thanks for the fun entertainment on our walk!
Could not find a thing. Arrived at 1st waypoint and searched for ages. Followed all clues but still had no luck.
All good to go. Please ensure that you replace WP1 in the correct position as the co-ords are getting worn from being forced back into place.
Lovely day for a walk. Found the first way way point but it was difficult to read the inscription. Guessed correctly and scored the second waypoint. The writing on this was much more difficult to read and when I put what I thought were the correct co-ordinates into the Gps it lead me a very long way ...right direction but too far to quickly. Will try again in 2 weeks. Meantime a check on legibility would be appreciated.
Had time for this because our flight home yesterday was cancelled due to gale force winds, horizontal rain and total obscured view. Started at 9:15 am finished (signed log) 10:30. Not without problems. Marvelled at ingenuity of 1st 2 wps but we found them ok for all their cleverness using the story and hints but the part of 3 that was necessary was missing - the part we didn't really need was there so we knew we'd found it. Reading prior logs thought we night be able to pick up at a later point so continued but even lost each other for a while before thinking we had 3 ladies and instructions for the next wp but got co ords for final instead. Back to car at 11:25 . Logging this at airport - hopeful we'll manage to get home, Auckland, today. Our 997 (so close) - we really enjoyed the hike and are thankful to the weather gods to have allowed us to find this cache, and to you, fuzzynz for the great experience. NINO TFTC
Found on a nice long walk on a beautiful day in Queenstown! Brought along Michelle for her first geocache! Nice multi!! Tftc
We r staying at the motor camp in frankton on our sth island caravaning holiday in our home away from home "7WED51", have to admit to doing this backwards as we biked along the track into Queenstown. Instantly recognised the 3 regal ladies on our way past but was curious to track down all waypoints.. Admit to not actually finding each and every waypoint but thoroughly enjoyed the search. We then carried on along the track to the very end by the bridge.. Very nice.. Thanks for setting this up..

It was great fun finding all the WPs but it took us more time than we expected. Every WP was a new challenge as they are all set up differently and we needed every detail of the little story and of the cryptographic hints. Already at the first WP we knew this was not going to be your average dull two stage multi but more like the ingenious multis we are used to in Belgium.] WP1 needs attention / maintenance as it is sitting too loose in its hiding place. Yes, we were almost screwed at WP5 and barked up the wrong tree for a very long time at WP6! [WP1 through WP4 went fairly well but only after long and thorough searching we were able to reveal WP5 & WP6. And don't mistake WP3 for WP4 in the hints and story (as we did) because you will easily end up falling in the water (as we *almost* did!) In general all WPs are very safe and fit the story & hints very well - we learned that if it doesn't fit you are wrong. After the three hours walk and hunt the final box was quickly found and we happily took the bus back to Queenstown. Thank you very much for maintaining this beauty. It was our best cache experience in one and a half month of 80 caches in NZ!

Didint do all the way points. Just thought 'thats a good place to hide a cache!' and it was! as it was the last one i thought it was fair enough to log it.
Well well been staying in the region a week.
We were staying about 400 Mtrs away at a batch in Frankton.
Today our last day in town I decided to try a hunch. We bought lunch in town & came out here to eat it. After reading the cache description we had a good idea where the final was. Sure enough after a small walk nailed it by chance. So it can be done without going to any waypoints. Thanks

Spent a while looking for cache at WP1 but unable to locate. Would have helped if we had some idea what we were looking for ie tin, film cannister. Hints a bit cryptic when you only have a one morning left in Queeenstown. Enjoyed the walk to Frankton.
Have performed the required maintenance on WP2 so it's all going smoothly now. Happy hunting!
WP2 is a little hard to find at the moment so until we can do some maintenance work on it in a couple of weeks time, the info you'll need is:
From WP2 add:
S -100 E +305
If you add these co-ords to what you have for WP2, these will take you to WP3.
Happy hunting!

Ggy and I also spent days looking for waypoint2 and we think we ended up finding waypoint 3 and finished the multi without ever figuring the 2nd waypoint
Unable to identify WP2. I think I found something that could have been it, but it was illegible. Will check with owner if I'm just being a muppet. WP1 very clever - loved the ingenuity there.
With Ggy and Waka Dog our first mutli, was a learning curve and took us days to crack it all Very clever and lots of fun Waka loved following in Fluffys footsteps.TFTC

Tftc tnln. My first multi great one loved the waypoints very clever. With qtown girl and Waka took a couple of days ha ha.this was great fun.
Yeah! Our first FTF!!!!! Group effort with team Central Otago Hilton and Junior Guzzi Riders. Great multi cache along the track! TFTC
Actually Central Otago Hilton have had quite a few FTF!
Would recommend taking a multi tool or similar for this cache as one of the clues took us about fifteen minutes to extract from its hiding place using a coin and the dog's metal name tag, it was well stuck. Great multi, tftc.
