Surprise:-) found together with Purdiepurdie and Jellibean. O.k. We have to admit , that we just wanted to give up and log an DNF but Jellybean , a lucky newcomer , suddenly had the cache in her hands. So congratulations to Jellibean and the game can go on. oohing wrong with the cache, Greetings from Germany and TFTC
TFTC. After hunting about with no joy the decision was made to move on but jellibean, a complete newbee, persisted and found the cache!! Well done you put us to shame.
It is only now I am home I see this cache has been archieved - but we found it and signed the log.

spend some time looking around inside with GC after finding the cache, lots of interesting info, TFTC!!
Found with Hinemoana and gencuster while in and around the north of the south island.

14:30 I located what appears to be the original container (a combination lock on it) which is in a sunglasses cloth case at GZ but under the corner of the adjacent building, access from ramp. It has a steel base with (non) sticky tape attached to magnet. The container's base has been forced in the past and the original log in bag is inaccessible. A small temp log had been inserted, which we signed. With JC Cache Dawg, Team EJ, HM & TF. There was no sign of the 'replacement' eclipse, but we stopped looking after we found this. Fascinating Centre and we spent time looking around inside. Cheers, GC.
This was a hard find, we are a bit surprised to see that it has now been archived. The stories on the fire station were definitely worth reading. TFTC
We found this one after a little while of looking around. The coords are perfect, but the hint is not. The cache is neither under the thing indicated, nor on the other thing indicated. We read the logs later and found, that the container had been removed - maybe the hint should be altered. Where did all the others get the code from? The logbook is all wet, so we put an extra piece of paper in.
Collingwood is a lovely place - so sorry we cannot stay longer!

Stayed a night in this lovely town. The cache lies a few meters from my hotel so it was no question what to do first after arrival. The cache was already open and I signed the additional but dry piece of paper.
Thanks Kongo1506
Thanks Kongo1506
The logbook is all wet and slimy. The hint could be altered, and where are the opening instructions? The lid seems to be halfway working only anyway - can't be fully opened nor closed.
Loved the firestation and its info. Can't say the same for the cache too wet to write on.

Had a nice trip from Takaka to Collingwood and back again. Found this on the way. Took some time to locate but when found it was obvious. Tftc!
Find no.5 of day three of our family holiday in Golden Bay. Mum & Dad hunted for this one as the poor kids waited not-so-patiently in the car. Dad found the sneaky cache! TFTC!
Yes, well, I did find it, but I didn't sign the log. It's hosing down at the moment, and I thought the rock was serving it's purpose of keeping the rain off. Will go back and sign when it stops.
found it with integersmirk but also forgot to log it on time ... I caught I khawhai too! but it was a little smaller than integersmirk's one. TFTC
(Apologies for late log) Had to drop in to Collingwood for bait, in order to catch the kahawai that we smoked for dinner.. Happy memories! Thanks for the deviation in town. Took a wee bit of wandering but got there in the end.
Pouring with rain today so drove to Collingwood for a Sunday paper and bagged cache while there. No trouble finding it.
Thanks for bringing us into this quaint place. Quick find as the sun went down. TFTC
Noticed the reports of the state of this cache so dropped in to check it out on my way past. There must have been some cache creep here as I couldn't even find the original cache where I had left it. I have left a replacement cache in place and updated the listing and hints. Coordinates should still be good as its within a couple of metres of the original spot.
Found it, but couldn't open it.
Put a small log inside the small opening.
Thanks for the Cache.

A quick find, but unfortunately we were unable to sign the log as we couldn't open the case. Perhaps the code has changed? TFTC
So I sat for a while and managed to open it (over 700 combinations later) have tried to reset to original code, as has another caching friend, but we can't get it to fully close. The original code doesn't work either.
The crux is, in opening it, we've locked it up more.
Very sorry.

Found it easily but couldnt access the cache. logging as found but couldnt sign the log. the code didnt work to get into it.
Spent a minute hunting for the described container, then spotted it's replacement. Quick early morning cache, with noone around. TFTC from N. Ireland
A result for this one 2 years after our first attempt!!! TFTC. Unfortunately our pen did not work so log entry in illegible.
A quick find during a rest and recreation stop in Collingwood on the way north. Signed log, TFTC!
Found while the kids played in the playground. All were rewarded with an ice cream from the dairy across the road.
Taken me a while to finally get around to finding this one. As I was born, and grew up in the Hutt Valley I’ll take the CO’s comments regarding my home patch with a pinch of Salt. Nice container. SL TFTC
Hac to have several attempts to find this one due to the number of meetings at the local fire station
Enjoying my time in sunny Nelson, picked up some stuff for the house as well.

We assumed it would be in a certain area and were puzzled when the GPS kept insisting that it wasn't. In the end we consulted the hint and all made sense. No problems after that. Thanks
Just realised that we did this back in May (now 8/10/11). After having a couple of dnf's on the train, this was a quick find.

Good to find a cache here this trip. Cache was missing year ago. Should be OK from young muggles this time. TFTC
16-Found a sunglass 'glove' near to the cache so place this around the cache as was unsure whether it was originally on it or not. Nice one!
With fotomacc. A great dry location and quality cache container. Scallop pie nearby was very enjoyable.
Right where I thought it would be. A joint find with Mapper Ted while cycling in this area. TFTC. What a great little container.
It took us a little while but ligi finally spotted it. Nice little town! Camped here last night.
Found this in it's new location but it was on the ground open. Replaced where I think it should be but suggest a bag for the log book! Tftc
Coordinates changed from:
S 40° 40.628 E 172° 40.964
Coordinates changed to:
S 40° 40.618 E 172° 40.963
Distance from original: 60.7 feet or 18.5 meters.
Replacement cache now in a slightly different and hopefully less muggle prone spot.

Its been out of action for longer than I'd like but I plan to get back to this area by the end of January.
Our second visit to this cache and the second time that we've lucked out.
If the "obvious place" is under the drivers seat then it's gone again.

Muggle central when we visited. Seems there is a fireworks display later tonight.
An easy find, while calling past for a look around. SL. Thanks to hw3356 for the cache.
1000hrs Fortunately there were no muggles to be seen. Imagine them seeing us going all over it, poking and feeling. The Italian Job was here......! Our blog www.motorhominginxs.blogspot.com
Woke up to a lot of rain falling but we decided we would go ahead with some fellow cachers and do a day trip over the hill! Rain barely let up all the way over and only in the last 1/2 hour of the trip did we get some glimmer of hope of a break in the weather.
mmmmmm shoulld we have left it to another time?
Arrived in the area of GZ and after a bit of a hunt we found the cache where we had looked before. Log was wet and torn so replaced bag and added new log paper. The weather continued to give us fine patches so now it was to move on

First of a caching trip with friends (Liquorboy09) helped us to have some geo kids as we searched in the rain - only a couple of muggles that looked at us all strangely eventually found cache - put in new log sheet but also noted there is no sign of the TB/Coin that is listed as being in the cache - thanks for the cache
Nice Hide ... Squeezed In Movers TB NO Room for 2nd TB

Found cache whilst on a motorcycle tour of the top end of the South Island. After rejecting several alternatives and thinking about where a cache should be placed on such an edifice it was found. TNLN. TFTC.
Was a bit worried when I pulled up where is a branch of " Rent a Kid " when you need one, still managed to do the check out the steam stuff and cache was soon in hand, good placing, nice dry spot, out of kids way and just were a cacher would look...
Was slightly amazed when I updated GSAK yesterday whilst holed up indoors during extremely bad weather and discovered this refreshed cache just 64m from my motel room. Quick find this morning before I left town on a Farewell Spit tour.
ah, now I see why the log only had a few entries. great hide, should stay dry there.
Our last cache for our Golden Bay weekend, Loved it all and an easy find for the last one TFTC
Many thanks to Mr KE for the remote replacement maintenance and special mention to Mr B for testing it!
Collingwood definitely needed a cache in town so it would be good to keep this one going. Mr B and Mr KE played steam enthusiasts as we thoroughly checked out gz for the missing cache. No sign of it so dropped in a replacement with permission of the owner. It will still need a visit by the cache owner as I didn't have a plastic bag but it will hopefully last long enough that you can make the trip when it suits. TFTC.
Too many DNF's for my liking. I'll be over there in the next few weeks to check it out.
Two of us gave it a good going over and couldn't come up with the cache while waiting for our fish and chips to cook in a nearby store, never mind i will be back sometime.
Didnt have the geokids with us and couldnt find it, must have looked a bit weird with a grown man looking round and in and out a kids playground. Still couldnt find it
