Logs
Found container with 2cm of water in it, so tipped out the water. The plastic bag helped protect the log, but it was still damp. However I was able to sign it. Left a couple of swaps. A great hide, loved the spot. Thanks for giving me an enjoyable bush experience.
Due to health issues I did not do the big walk to the Event and do chamads Christmas tree but met up with a small group after. This was a easy find. Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
What a great day to get in some walks and some of those out of the way caches. The plan today was to start a walk from the car park of Ewan maddock to an event some 5 km walk away. Along the way we would stop and get some caches and listen to the smooth sounds of the area and then loop back to the car park. All went really well, we then finished off with a chat at the coffee van in the carpark. From there people made their own plans and headed off. I was lucky to team up with Roddyc, Hatzofff and Imbunda for the afternoon of caching. We drove around Landsborough and Mooloolah areas and got in some good caches, even a spot of lunch. This was one of those caches for today. We signed the logs and replaced the caches as found. working our way home and getting to the end of the day.
Came here next to claim this one which is a bit out of the way. Parked on the opposite side of the road and trudged through the park, if you can call it a park. Pretty much a lot of long grass that has been neglected by the council, but still a peaceful spot regardless. After moving back and forth through the trees I soon had the cache in hand and signed the log. Thanks for the cache!
We parked on the side of the road on a bit of slope, and the last time we were in such a position, Mrs Woodyrothwell fell out of the car. She went to put her foot down and the next thing I heard was a squeal and a body rolling down a hill. This time she was prepared. She politely told me in a very impolite way to get out first and come around and help her. When she said help, it meant that I was quite ready with the phone to capture another fall on video. This time she made it out without problem and without looking at me walked straight to the guard rail and started feeling around. I had the app open and could see we had to travel 30 metres in a different direction but any husband worth their weight in common sense knows better than to point out the obvious. After she found nothing I pretended to pull out my phone only to say we needed to be elsewhere. It was the best way to make sure we stayed happily married. tftc
A morning of caching due to pupil free day. A quick find here all is good with the cache TFTC
I come from a country without snakes so I was very very cautious in this bush. Even tho I've been told by locals ,snakes are sleeping at this time of the year.
I had been past here earlier today, however there were 2 cars parked where I wanted to be. After a successful find at a new cache later this afternoon, I stopped here and stomped through the grass towards the cache. I don't know if my technique is correct for scaring away any snakes, but I didn't see any, so...??? Once I entered the treed area, I found the cache in the third tree I looked at. All is good here. TFTC TaxisVW & DrPam and for the adoption jasenjanine
this was my first geocache years and years ago with family so i’m very happy to have finally logged it on my account!!
It’s the closest cache to me and I think about it every time I drive past!
lid had some ants nested in it so I tried to tap most of them out. log book all good (but I left my pen in the car!!)
left a little dolphin swap

Election Day Saturday as there is a lot of rain, we decided to mainly do AL.
Before mid day the rain became too consistant & we called it a day. We did manage to take a good drive around the coastal area.
Thankyou jasenjanine for placing this cache.

Enjoying my two day visit to the Sunshine Coast with geo friends. We were a little hesitated in visiting here but were very surprised and happy to find the cache fairly quickly.

This was my target cache when i set out for my bike ride this morning.
Decided to explore the new bikeway alongside the highway near sippy downs.
Turns out i can get all the way to the mooloolah cemetary by path.
Trundled down the steve irwin way until i came abreast of harry and his hut so thought i'd finally drop by to say g'day.
Then on into old highway territory and this unloved cache.
Almost a year unloved i'll happily banish with an autograph.
Thanks jasenjanine for keeping this cache alive!

Bit of an overground park to walk through but found it fairly easily once in the bush.
It must have looked like we were going for a 'wee stop' in the bushes!!
Once we were in the scrub, found a beautiful clear running creek.
Easy find, left some treasures.
Thanks!

On the way to Eudlo, we made a little detour. Wouldn't have seen this park without a cache in it. Tftc
Parked up off the road and wandered over to find the new container and log book. All good with is one. TFTC
I noticed this cache had a problem with a wet log. Have changed the container for a so called 100% leak proof, same make and size (time will tell). New log book in zip lock bag. Hope this was ok with the CO's.
Thank you for replacing the container and logbook on this one dickbev. We always appreciate it when you can help out with one of our caches .. we owe you guys big time [^]
1minniemoo and I headed in to find the cache, which did not take long but the log book is a mouldy icky mess.
We took some photos and replaced the cache.

Heading this direction for the last few caches of our day today, we pulled over and wandered down for this cache. Once we got through the cobblers pegs, we came to a sheltered spot, where Wombles&Co made the find. However the log book was extremely soaked and black and we were unable to sign it. We have taken photographic evidence of cache and logbook however.
Thanks for the cache jasenjanine.

A bit of a grass bash to enter the wooded area but once in the wood it is pretty easy to walk. Quick find here. TFTC
What an adventure getting this one was, the grass has not been mowed in a while, it was almost up to my hips but lots of fun regardless TFTC
After the recent heavy rains from ex-TC Debbie shelved my plans for a trip South due to extensive flooding, a visit to the hinterland seemed a better option. Today's trip took me through Landsborough, Moololah Valley, Woombye, Eudlo, Palmwoods and points in between picking up solved puzzles and a variety of other caches.
After finding a safe place to park, I wandered over. Lots of evidence of recent flooding but no problems finding this one. Thanks **TaxisVW and DrPam (adopted by jasenjanine)** for bringing us here, this find makes #3501. Discover our trackable TGQNRV .

Should have read hint before we started but we got there in the end!!
Found, signed & swapped. TFTC

I noticed that they had slashed the grass along the roadsides around here so I could finally get in and look for the cache. Its a really nice spot once you get into the trees and can see the river. Found the cache safe and sound and all in good order. Took nothing and left a viking ship. TFTC

Early morning start heading 4:30am Heading East to Landsbourgh then on to Woombye, Palmwoods and then a big loop heading back towards Melany. Nice cache. Thanks for bringing me here

Found cache trying to escape. The lid was detached and the contents were spilling out. Surprisingly everything was safe and dry. Log signed everything tucked back in and more camo applied.
Just as well... I had to seek shelter and abandon my next search at the nearby dam because of the arrival of a very serious storm with lots of rain.
Tftc and the opportunity to hear about the history of these roads.

Find #481: Highway One - Glenview on the 30 June 2015
Today's caching adventure was a little bit unplaned. My non geocaching friends called to see if I wanted to come out. I have slowly been convincing them to try out caching so seeing the opportunity told them I was on my way. An hour later and we were on the Ewen Maddock trail. What a perfect day for it. Needless to say they loved it and are now adequately hooked!
This cache was conveniently located on the way back to my friends house from the damn as such it was our last find for the day!
All good here.
Thanks for the cache TaxisVW and DrPam (adopted by jasenjanine)!

Found at 1530.
Today, I decided to grab a few caches around Mooloolah. This one sounded like fun, so I had to have a go.
Apart from the mushy grass I had to walk across, this cache was a fun find.
This area looks like the water has been thundering through recently.
The cache was high and dry and the logbook was duly signed.

Finally!! I have been past this park quite a few times with the intention of grabbing this cache, however each time the grass has always been 7 foot high and so out of pure laziness i hadn't even attempted this cache, until today. After driving around the bend in the road, i immediately noticed that the grass had been cut and knew that today would be the day to find this cache. After crossing the field, and entering the rainforest the garmin pointed me in the right direction and i immediately found the cache in the first place i looked. Awesome spot, that i honestly would never have of visited. TFTC

Not too far off the road - bit of long grass then nice under-story cover to GZ. Found at 9.40 am on 18th Jan 2015. TFTC.
This cache was a challenge to get to, but we weren't giving up!
Mrs CacheThief had joggers on, so she got the privilege of trekking through the overgrown park and finding her way through the tree line taking care not to get spiked or clothes filled with cobblers pegs!
But once through and into the clearing I saw a lovely little creek and could see the birds flitting through the trees.
The cache was an easy find once I was in. TFTC.

Limited places to park but managed to pull off the road into the long grass.
A quick find by the creek amidst the myriad creatures diving for cover at my approach. Lizards & turtles were more startled than I.
