CheckedMissing Had to replace containers on this cache over 4 times at two different trees .Will have to do something different.
Hubby and I are spending the weekend at the coast, catching up with friends for lunch in Palmwoods today. We had a good look and I contacted the previous finder who told me where he found it but we couldnt find it. It may need checking.
Searched for ages couldn't find it.But there's approximately 20 million spots you could hid it in there so I guess that's not surprising
An interesting little spot, and I couldn't resist stopping to (hopefully) pick up this cache with its attractive D-T rating. A short search around GZ, with help from past photographs, and we soon located the nicely tucked away cache. As previously mentioned, the cache was missing its lid, so I returned to the vehicle and replaced it with one of my same container lids (so this cache is all good now). As noted, the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks TaxisVW and DrPam for the cache placement, and [dahumbug](https://coord.info/PR8W6P9) for its ongoing maintenance.----------Today, with visiting parents from Adelaide, we travelled north to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, visiting The Ginger Factory in Yandina in the morning, and Montville in the afternoon. We spent longer at The Ginger Factory with baby Cottontail enjoying Zog's Forest Adventure Trail, and then detoured through Palmwoods, where we extended our drive due to Cottontail's nap. We then took a walk along Main Street in Montville and completed [Last Chance to see...frogs](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/ee8c48ce-4774-42d9-8e9c-b122c1fee657) Adventure Lab. It was then time back down the mountain, and a homewards return.
Found it, but was a bit moist for my pencil. I dropped the lid inside the tree and couldn't retrieve. Apologies
The next find for the day. I steeled myself for this difficult search. The distant rumble of thunder could be heard as a storm made its way off the ocean and towards the hinterland. I decided to brave it here as the tree at GZ has plenty of cover anyway. I did quite a few laps around the tree, looking high and low for a corner of a plastic container sticking out of the leaf litter. Was coming close to calling it quits when I found a log photo; turns out I was looking for a preform. I started concentrating my search around where the photo looked to be taken when I spotted the silhouette of a preform well tucked away. Thanks for the cache, and a D5 to add to my collection dahumbug!
Had a DNF here years ago. Like a few before me today it only took one lap to spot the hide but longer to access the log.TFTC
Id been here looking for this before, round and round and round we went. This time there were kids at the seat and I thought Id have no chance but I walked round once and spotted it straight away! Opening it took a bit more time and bravery but I got it Tftc
A day of random caching while I make my way North to Nambour for the nightHard to believe its been three and a half years since my last visit here this time I found the container on the first circuitThanks dahumbug
I was in the area today so I decided to grab some caches. This was the first on my list. I was able to park not too far away and walked to GZ.I did a couple of laps of the tree before I spotted the cache. This is a clever hide.TFTC.
Staying with some muggle friends nearby and snuck out to grab a few caches.
I circled the tree and then got the torch out for closer inspection and after searching a few hidey holes, spied the container.

Coming to the end of a very hot day caching around the Sunny Coast with The Bug as my tour guide. Arriving at gz I circled the area and started the hunt and eventually found the very well-hidden cache.
Thanks dahumbug for the cache.
Thanks dahumbug for the cache.
We had stopped in town to walk the adventure lab series. Upon completing that it was time to look where to go next. Spying this one I figured we’d give it a shot, thinking that the miserable weather today, might keep any walking muggles at bay.
Well that turned out to be a good plan. We did plenty of circle work here, played eye spy and I won! My prize a shiny yellow smilie on my map. Had to throw the heater on when we returned to the car!
Where to next!

No luck today with CoolAsApickel. The skies released its fury about 25 mins into the search so we had to walk/swim back to the car.
The trees have recently been mulched, not sure if this impacted our search ability but the ground level is now higher than it was before.
We will be back.

On returning from a big hike to Mother Bones and Jack Sparrow I met up with grannysmith1947 on my way back to Maleny to look for this one. It was starting to get quite dull and overcast which is not a good time for me to be looking for a D5 as I'm as blind as a bat.
We were very methodological in our search process and eventually we were surprised and very happy to have found this awesome hide, a favourite point from me
Thanks TaxisVW and DrPam

If JUNE was a great start to our day, then finding this was the perfect finish. I had looked once before, albeit briefly, because my beautiful sweet niece was playing at open mic night at Ricks Garage just around the corner. I was neither dressed for caching or had enough time then. But today I was better prepared for a good search and had a geo buddy with me. I left my car parked at the station here for the day and so we had a hunt then but still couldn’t come up with the goods and gave up. So at the end of a big day, and with e️ not feeling well, we gave it one last shot. Third time lucky! Even though we had called it quits we both kept looking. Then E spied a certain something and called me to check. No, her eyes had not deceived her. It was amazing that we had missed it. I did the honours while she held the torch and we both went home very happy. Well, not home just yet. I still had a class to attend. But we ended our girls day out on a high note. And at a perfect location for this tree lover.

D 5.0 T 2.0 Small Traditional Cache
Great girls day out with AtTheLakeHouse.
A DNF at around 12 noon. Maybe we're just famished? We came back before sunset, armed with TOTT. I let ATLH used it at first as I always seem to miss finding caches! That doesn't convince me to give up. We gave it a good ten minutes, then when that was over, I sort of tried, within a minute I saw something promising! And it was the cache!!! No point giving up now, is it?
Thanks for the cache and taking us here TaxisVW, DrPam and dahumbug. Great hide and d/t!

Had a try at this today with no luck. Phoned a friend and got a clue, but will have to come bcak and try again.
Two sets of eyes, plus PAF, still could not find, thanks for bringing me up to this lovely area, still a nice drive
Out on a four day bakery run, we just finished at Ricks bakery, the food was great The BFG made this look easy!

Wowsers! Probably the hardest D1.5 I've ever found but a brilliant method nonetheless! Used my detective skills and was excited when I spotted something not quite right Thanks to the original placers and to dahumbug for maintaining it.
That took way longer then we thought just about to give up and than happy dance we found it tftc
As I was driving through yesterday I checked in on this one...even I struggled to find it. Placed back snuggly.
Got phone call early in the week from Chamad to if I could be the taxi driver. Chamad made a list for some caches he was chasing and some Tree Fishing ones to. Plus 2 events and 7 cache types
I found 27 caches today, the break down was 20 traditional, 2 multi, CITO, Wherigo, earthcache, mystery and community event.
Sorry for the generic log.

A day out with Brislions on an educational journey collecting caches. The night before and I had set up a run with a variety of caches and a range of caches types that we required for certain challenge caches. He had a couple of extra ones to add that he found as we past. We collected a few not on the list as we passed them too and a couple of lab series that we passed as well. It was a good day with a wide variety of caches collected. Thanks for the chauffeuring today Brislions, it was a trip to remember.
This one was as we were passing by and not on our list but it turned out to be a fun cache to do. We spent a little time here searching and looking before we started to let our fingers do the walking. While I was searching around my buddy was searching for answers in old logs, he muttered something about being a bug cache and then found a clue. It wasn’t long after that he felt something and then says “Got it”. Nicely done and with the log signed and cache replaced as we found it we were off to the next one in the area. Thanks for placing this one here, all good with this cache.

Day 3 Beerwah. Caching with the Snakepitters.
Had a full day planned, including several AL, but the day didn't go quite as planned as the AL app. seemed to have taken time which left us quite frustrated.
Our day took us through some wonderful countryside & up to some loations with magical views over the Sunshine Coast, a ownderful scenic loop.
These types of trees can often be a real problem when looking for a cache.
Thankyou dahumbug for placing this cache.

Our final day in Beerwah, today was to venture out and do the Venture labs and pick up a few other caches for the day, however it was not to be with the geocaching update affecting the the venture lad when we were halfway through our second, put a stop to that. We still managed to grab a few. Off to Kilcoy tomorrow, a day of rest, washing and then off to Somerset dam.

I don’t feel we looked as hard as we could have (2 young kids and I ran out of patience). Will try again one day
Out for a walk with our dog on a Sunday afternoon and decided to give this cache a go. Took a little while but with all the fam looking Dad finally found it. Thanks
No luck today. Had a good look around the roots. Not sure if seeking a black tube as per previous log or sistema container as mentioned in the description. Either way couldn’t find anything.
Today was my second visit to try and find this cache. Six months ago I searched and searched and eventually gave up, completely defeated by this cache!
Today I was determined to find it, no matter how long it took. From previous logs I narrowed down the search area and started looking .... and looking ..... and looking ... and looking! I was getting frustrated at myself for not being able to find the cache, so I took a step back and reread the previous logs. I went back to my search area and changed my perspective and straight away I saw something that did not belong ... and with a quick pull, I had the cache safely in my hand! It was a good feeling!!! I signed the log and returned the cache to its hidey hole.
TFTC and it is a favourite for me.

i hadn't read anything about this cache when we arrived today, so was blissfully unaware of anything untoward, pocketing my phone upon approach.
mum had found this one over four years ago, in a different incarnation, so stood back patiently as i went round and round.
....and round.
slowly i checked all my options, noticing something that was to be the key to my success!
log signed and cheekily rehid, we were mobile again on our palmwoods geotour.
Thanks dahumbug for keeping this cache alive!

Will admit we only had a quick hunt... but the day is getting away from us and we’re in need of coffee...
I parked up nearby and made my way to gz. Once spotted I first tried to retrieve the cache from the wrong angle but soon worked out a better plan. Name added to the log and back to the cool air in the car! Tftc
After attending a nearby event, I headed to this cache. With the help of a geobuddy, it was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
This has to be our fourth or so visit to this cache - the first times before it was moved to present position - but our second visit to this GZ. This time we made use of the spoiler picture and M had the cache in hand a few seconds later. Even with the spoiler pic I wouldn't have found it! Sneaky hide and one can only really spot it when looking from a certain angle. Glad to have this as a smiley!
Looked for this cache just over 2 years ago without success.
Today got a line on it and had it in hand to sign. The log was nearly as difficult to remove as was locating the cache.
First time cache has been located for nearly 9 months .
Thanks TaxisVW & DrPam

In earshot of the highway,
I poked around in this relatively peaceful spot.
But the likely place,
to hide the cache,
just wouldn't reveal its secrets
DNF !!!

We found it this time good to turn a blue to a yellow. We looked for it a while ago in the old place when it had gone missing. Great hide! TFTC
Second time for us a do not find here. From previous logs it seems to be in a sneaky hiding spot but alas too sneaky for us today. Hopefully third time lucky some day!
Another find with Colwen. Tricky cache to find and get out of his hidey hole but we managed it! TFTC
Tend to agree with Dora the Explorer in that the difficulty rating should be higher. Took a while to find this one especially since it hadn't been found for a some time. Glad to have been able to put a yellow smiley face in this location. TFTC
Was a fun find. The park across the road is nice too. Higher D rating I think.

Searched for ages then looked at activities and saw it hasn't been found in a while so messaged owner to see if they would like us to replace it since we live nearby.
Recent council treeworks very close by may have caused some sort of relocation?
Dug around amongst the roots and came up with nothing. Also saw the small bag on the ground as mentioned by the previous cacher.
Think we saw where it should be but it was not there empty small clip lock bag in the ground just near.
Greetings from Kapiti NZ. A quick find while over here on holiday. Thanks for the cache.
'twas a nice quick and easy grab on a busy Tuesday morning. Lots of people were around, but at gz I was out of plain sight. Thanks for a great hide.
