We are on a caravanning trip around Australia seeing the sights and finding a few caches along the way. After visiting Tarra-bulga np we were on our way towards Gormandale so decided to stop and grab this cache. A nice quick find here. Thanks for the cache

19-May-24
Took a bit of digging yet found it in the end with yummy az eats. Nice spot to take a break Tftc

19-May-24
Weekend away with CLAWS2020 and came upon this great cache in a beautiful scenic area. TFTC

03-Feb-24
FoundDried bag and container best I could before adding a signed page from a notebook. Thanks malikaal

05-Dec-22
Found this cache yesterday. It was completely filled with water unfortunately and wouldn’t come free for us to empty it out. Have saved what we could in a smaller container at the same location, awaiting attention.

03-May-22
Really really well concealed, took a bit of digging

28-Nov-21
Today we decided to drive the Grand Ridge rd as previously we had only driven part of it. Collecting caches along the way, this was the first found.
It was well buried so I was surprised after previous comments that it was reasonable dry inside, a new log was inside so maybe someone has done some maintenance.
Left a TB, took nothing TFTC

16-Mar-21
The log is sopping and the cache is full of water. There was not much I could do about it so I took a photo. This need a bit of TLC.

06-Mar-21
Thanks for taking us to a place we would’ve otherwise drove straight past and not noticed.
The cache needs maintenance as the Ziploc bag and logbook are full of water. I replaced the Ziploc bag that I had in the car but the logbook is still waterlogged.

21-Feb-21
Found. Bag in cache full of water unable to sign log. Lovely quiet spot

19-Nov-19
After visiting Mt Tassie, I worked my way along the Grand Ridge Rd. A quick find here, though the cache was buried in tree litter. It is wedged in that we’ll, that I could only screw the lid off the in situ cache. TFTC

Sorting out some old logs i missed, i was over caching with the toolman and gooseandegg.

We weren't planning on coming here but seeing mount tassie on the map just meant it just had to be done.

The best caches I have found so far by type are:-

The weather was stunning on the day we came here. We came to find the trig point during a GCA game but happy to find a good GC container too. Looking at the gallery it looks like the cache used to come out of there. Not any more! 1toolman and stainless steel rat laugh at me as I tried to remove it, calling me weak. Well nobody else was able to move it either Twisted so we just unscrewed the lid where it was. This cache is not likely to be muggled any time soon
Thanks malikaal

18-Aug-19
Still water-free and well-hidden. Left poppy, took nothing. Thanks Malikaal, there are so many great places and views around this area.

Tftc easy find

15-Dec-17
Quick easy find while strategically placing car to hide gz from farmer doing hay/silage. Logbook is rather wet and could do with either drying out or replacing. Haven't got a spare with us today sorry.

29-Oct-17
SamJell, the GeoPuppies and myself found this one on our little adventure to the beach. (We didn't make it there), but got plenty of caches instead hahaha. What a random lone tree. Brilliant. TFTC

20-Aug-17
Touring around the Jeeralangs today enjoying some great cache locations. We finished our day heading this way to home. A quick stop to find the log very damp/wet. The hide was good all the same.Tyftc

12-Jun-17
We were travelling along this section of the Grand Ridge Road on a wayward trip to Yarram and back home to Traralgon again via another route, for our latest edition of KAKAGA (Kate and Kelly's Amazing Geocache Adventure) and came upon gz for this cache. I spotted the nice big hide and tried to extract it.......heeeeaaavvveeeee!!! Nope. Kato provides the handy hint "Try unscrewing it" and that worked much better. A fabulous hide, too bad we had no view because the fog was so soupy thick that we couldn't see in front of us. TFTC malikaal. A TB has been deposited in this lovely, big cache because it's a place wombats would like to go.

12-Jun-17
Out on a road trip with Mummy Short Legs with the aim of finding a few unloved caches (and any other ones we happened across). This was our 4th successful find of the day and we were having a white time of it in the fog. As we approached this one nothing, absolutely nothing was to be seen. Until suddenly this huge ghostly apparition loomed out of the mist. A freezing departure from the vehicle and a wander to the right angle and there it was. A false start at extraction then a new suggestion and we had it figured. A beaut cache, thank you malikaal. Next time we'll get the views!

30-Mar-17
A nice place to come for a cache, thanks for the hide. The log book was very wet, seems the lid was not on very tight and let moisture in.. Still a great cache.

30-Jun-16
Wow, nice hide. Left a pen, took a heart stamp which I shall use to spread the love. Virbull

06-May-16
Found easily while driving along Grand Ridge road looking for a cache location of my own. Took a lot of digging to get it out as the mosses had started growing around t and trapped it in! Some great swaps in there too, I took the game and left the mini slinky and stamp Smile thanks for a great find!

Went for a nice drive today on the hunt for our first geo-cache, and this is the first one we chose to find. Hidden nicely, contents are dry. I signed the log book and popped it back. Didn't take anything and left a little pen. It was exciting finding the cache, I think I'm addicted already lol.

Although it's summer, the car said it was 11 degrees at this cache today. Brrrrr!!! I really enjoyed the drive to the Tarra Bulga National Park. What a beautiful place that is. Signed the log and grabbed the TB to move it on. Thanks malikaal for a really lovely spot.

04-Jan-14
Very nicely hidden!

03-Nov-13
Went for a quick check after a recent DNF. Yes, there are lots of animal scratchings in the general location, however the cache is safe in its camoflaged hiding place and has not been affected by the animals. It is exactly as it should be waiting to be found! ALL GOOD TO GO AND FIND.

01-Nov-13
This cache is no longer there it is missing- from checking with a fellow cacher, it appears this cache is not there. It looks like an animal has been scratching around the area - maybe it had moved it search around for 20mins incase this was the case but not cache to be found

Found the cache quite straightforwardly at 3:15pm but she objected to me bringing the container into car as rain had intensified and it was large and muddy. TFTC

1139 05102013 an easy find here today as we traveled the grand ridge. Lots of trees down due to the weather last week but the sun was shining today.

Found while cycling from Rosedale to Traralgon via the Grand Ridge Road. (I was one of the thousands on the 2012 Great Victorian Bike Ride that past this way.) The higher we got the thicker the cloud and heavier the rain which made this stretch of dirt road a very interesting ride. My picture tells the story.

Thanks for the cache malikaal.

27-Nov-12
Alas, it was bitterly cold and wet up here today without any views. At least there was this cache to warm the cockles of my caching heart at 09:55. After a nice easy find, I was soon back on the bike into the cold and rain Sad.

TNLNSL. Thanks malikaal

03-Nov-12
rebel acts and myself spend the day touring the area an area that I had never been too, as we were driving noticed all the pine trees had been cut down and when we realized where the cache was our thoughts were that was one lucky one

03-Nov-12
Found with Crazy! Nat Girl while touring the area, we totally enjoyed our drive along this road. This was one lucky tree, all the others around it had been cut down, took some digging to find this one. Thanks for the cache.

Finally found one of 'Malikaal's' geo-caches ! Found by the geo-teen 97 while geo-mum 74 was scratching on the other side of the tree, well blending camo - don't let the blue skies in the photo trick you the wind was like ice up here today, thank goodness the teen found it pretty quick, 97 took the Anzac wrist band, 74 took nothing - Left a couple of random kiddie swaps.. On the way through to 'Archie Reeve' for a 2nd to find (winks) ... Thanks for the Hide, must get up to Tarra Bulga soon and find some more ... cheers

We spent the afternoon clearing up all of our unfound caches around this end of the Grand Ridge Rd. We loved the old tree at this one, and a very nice hide, too. We grabbed a photo of the nearby TP for a GCA find while we were here. Many thanks for the entertaining arvo, cheers!

17-Sep-11
Found at 10.40am. Saw a very slow and cold tiger snake cross the road in front of us at 10.29am just before we turned onto Grand Ridge Road. Took his/her photo. What a grand detour off the Hyland Hwy this was.[^] We are holidaying in Gippsland and are off to Yarram today. Took: Wally compass Left: flower necklace & soldier. TFTC malikaal

Well like we have stated before, we love your caches malikaal.

They are AWESOME.

This was no different. It was an extremely clever hide.

Thank you for the adventure.

A quick maintenance check and drop off a TB.

08-Jan-11
We have been meaning to pick this one up for quite some time as it is not far from home. Used to know this area very well however this put us off in our search as we assumed we would be looking in a different direction! (Which you could do much better on the Grand Ridge of old as there were less trees.)
Soon made the adjustment and found the cache at 1805hrs. Nice big cache and plenty of goodies - we added a ladybug and took nothing. Thanks malikaal for the cache and a reason to cover some old territory.

I haven't driven this far end of this famous road so it was a pleasure to deviate off the main road and travel the 5km or so to this cache.
Drove right up near it and soon had it in hand.
So well stocked that I could hardly close the container.

Thanks

This was the last cache that I did on this long day and feathertop brought it back to the car so that I could log it.
Nice container and well stocked.

17-Jan-10
We always love coming to this part of Victoria so having a cache placed on one of the most scenic roads around was more than enough incentive for us to return here. Again we weren't disappointed with the drive or the views from gz. The cache was found quickly where we took the geocoin and left two TB's to enjoy the view
Thanks malikaal for the cache

16-Jan-10
Congratulations Jimmymaff on the first to find. Date is good. Dropped in Geocachers evolution GC while I was there.

16-Jan-10
Well I don't need much of an excuse to take a ride down this way. Called into this one about 10am on a day that was going to get warm. In my state of shock at finding a blank log, I think I forgot to put the date in my entry. A very well prepared cache malikaal. Took the FTF prize. Thank you. TN L-Buggs Bunny. Dropped of McAwesome TB. Thanks for placing this cache and the search. Jimmymaff
