I emailed i am pegasus last week regarding Minden Birds, GC22R04, which has not been found since 17 Dec 2013. There has been no reply.
There have been 10 DNF and "maintenance needed" comments in that time with no response.
I recommend that the cache be Archived.

Looked in the obvious place - and other places the clue could be pointing me too - but no luck on this one today! Given how many DNF's there are, possibly needs replacing?
3 DNFs in one day. No idea what the hint means and extensive search failed to turn up cache.
Searched thoroughly. Cache is gone in my opinion.
looks like the local birds have claimed it.

Found. Bank on this one. Off the main highway a short distance to find this one with the team.
A nice easy find on our way to Toowoomba with Remsjw and misssusan79 and lisylou
Beaut little spot we stopped at on the way through to Brissy. Cache was exposed so was found without much effort. Signed log and left mavericks race car TB. Took nothing. Replaced cache with a little extra camo.

Rolled to a stop nearby with Geckomaster62 and Cosmos the geo-dog who was not allowed to drive.
The gpsr led us straight to the cache
While I put our names in the logbook, GM62 wandered over to read the plaque. He called me over and we gave some thought to the tragedy that unfolded here not so long ago.
A lovely park with a sad history. Loved the turtles in memory of this wee lad! Did not see the birds today.
A FAVE point from me!
We rolled on down the road...

Out with misssusan today, this was our last find for the day. A lovely spot to rest and reflect, not too many birds around today. Strolled over to gz area and nothing was coming to hand at first, widened the search and used the clue to guide us, and then I found it, my co-ordinates had me about 13 metres off. But otherwise a nice place to end the day. Tftc.
Co-ordinates were out. Took a while and expanded the search area. Log signed and enjoyed the view.
I was doing a local loop - Grandchester, Laidley, plainlands, minden, rosewood and back to Grandchester. This was the third corner. Nice little detour from the main road and a pretty little park to stop in.

It was a great day caching with GT54 and forbiddenground. Arrived here in the dark and was surprised at how much bird life was about. Cache was a quick find and we were on our way to the next one. TFTC I am Pegasus
Late find on a cool arvo hunt all the birds at night started to fly as we got closer cache signed and dry TFTC
A day out and about in a car pool of fellow cachers. Arrived at this one on dark , and we frightened the birds in the nearby trees. Found the cache quickly, signed the log, and we were back in the warmth of the car in no time at all. TFTC.

Looks like a nice spot but I imagine it was not so nice during the floods. Especially given the memorial.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Nice easy find thanks so glad there is a lovely place to honour the memory of the child lost in the floods.
Found this morning while out this way for the weekend visiting with brownsnakemob's family.
Easy find this morning, the memorial park which has been set out for Jesse is lovely, his family have a great space to remember him. He must have been a big turtle fan by the looks of it.
Thanks for the cache i am pegasus

Due to construction works going on at the GC and fencing being put in place, will check on cache in a couple of weeks time
The park is under repair at present with it being fenced off. Looked like it would be a good place for a gc.
lots of birds there today ..very Nice spot ..there is work being done there ..so is going to be even better TFTC
Found with TrickyT out on a road trip today. Went to the first obvious spot but soon located the correct position. The birds were singing.
Arrived at GZ to find the park fenced off for upgrading. After talking with one of the locals about the park, which is being turned into a memorial for a child lost in the floods, we were able to find an alternative route in and sort out the cache. There is now some beautiful art works and stone carvings being added. Definitely worth a stop over just to check it out. A favourite from me. Thanks i am pegasus
Found it on our second attempt!! Happy to have it done seeings as its the closest cache to my house!! TFTC
on the return journey to Brisbane when we pulled off the road to grab this one.
Glad we did, what a beautiful spot, lots of bird life this afternoon.
After a quick search we located the cache and signed the log.
All good with the cache and log.

Found with Stairman1 and geodog. Last one for the day before heading back to Brisbane. We arrived at the parking area and saw some strange people with torches looking through the grass. It was 5meerkats . In no time, stairman1 had the container in his hand. Signed our names then headed back home. Thanks guddink.
Argh i made this one so much harder than it had to be! This is actually a great hide coz its not where you expect it to be... Well done and TFTC
Stopped in with Mr Rosenstingel on the way back from the Toowoomba event. A great area and very pretty at dusk.
Thanks for showing us, quddink!
Thanks for showing us, quddink!
After attending an event in Toowoomba goldielover and I stopped off here. Spotted some muggles right where we needed to be. Well turned out to be fellow cachers who had also been at the event. Such a nice spot here right on dark.

A quick stop off on my way. Nice and quiet. Actually met my snake geocaching here.
It is about time I tracked this one down, no muggler's today lol TNLN SL cheers
Spent the weekend in Crows Nest and decided to grab some caches on the way up and back. What a lovely area, and we got down and personal in this area because we had to widen our search for this cache. Eventually found it after walking all over it.

This is getting silly, while heading home yesterday from the Meet & Greet at Springfield we decide to stop and do this cache but there were people at the table and kidlets running around so we just drove on, today we head over again and once more we're foiled by muggler's everywhere, I will find it might have to wait till mid week. Cheers
Missed this one but i see now i was using old grid ref ( found an awesome place where it probably used to be tho!). Will be back!
Glad I got this one after it had been moved, it sounded like a real mess that I wouldn't have been able to handle [xx(] Nice easy hide, and I even managed to CITO a couple of eclipse containers from the nearby shelter to add to my collection.

I've been past this spot so many times. Thanks for giving me a reason to stop, it's well worth it. Cheers guddink
A second look for this one - the first was not long after flood, and the area was totally disgusting.
today however was a totally different story and I had to double check that it was the same place, wonderful to see it cleaned up so well.
the cache was easily found and in good condition

Out and about with Brother Colin, this time out Lowood and Marburg way.
Some great trees here. We made this one harder than it should have been, but found it in the end. Lots of feathers nearby, but no birds to see. TFTC, guddink.

Cache is still safe and well.
Birds and smell have gone; but the grass is still long.

The caching gods were against me today, this was the first of 3 DNF's. Bird poo and long thick snakey grass put me off and I didn't persevere too long. Oh well.
Marked this as a DNF but not entirely sure if it's still there. Spent 20 min searching and the clue speaks for itself IMHO
My last for the day so it could be cache blindness but can someone please check

All the long grass and bird poo around did not make for an enjoyable search.
Co-ords out by about 4m. Easy find, once I was on target.

Dropped of some trackables I have had for way to long. Sorry to those owners.

HOLY SMACKERS! Heading west with Gaz'n'Kab today and I wanted to grab this one en route. We arrived at GZ, and the sheer volume of poop around the park was overwhelming. I didn't realise trees could be painted white by birds. I opened the car door, and I feel I have a very strong stomach, but this was something else. A figer poked out a car door towards the cache and while doing my best to hold my breath I signed the log and dove back into the car. From inside it wasn't too bad a spot. Lots of nice birds but I'm glad we were able to drive away. I'm sure when the cache was placed it was a much nicer and less birdy spot, but unfortunately word of mouth exists in birds and this top bird spot has become very popular. TFTC all the same, a nice detour on our way to Toowoomba.

I stepped out of the cache and the waft of bird crap hit me in the face like a Mac Truck.
This cache is in a position where I would not want ANYBODY to venture, without a bio-hazard suit.
The GZ is a seething mess of bird crap and broken eggs, dead birds and bird feathers.
Owner, please find a more suitable location for this cache where the birds can be appreciated, from a distance!

This tree didn't have many birds nesting in it last year and no mess.
I will get out there as soon as possible and see what can be done.
I will check and find out if you can claim a "Find" when when it is too unpleasant to get and sign the log.

We got very close, but this area was truly horrible... There were dead birds on the ground, a very sick bird just a metre or 2 from GZ, and bird poo everywhere... I sure hope this cache can be moved to perhaps the shelter or somewhere else nearby, as the area is truly remarkable The birds are an amazing sight, and it was well worth the visit

I was forbidden as well for fear that i'd have to run behind the car all the way home!
Nice one anyway. Thanks
