Did this geocache really need to be archived?
Flinders Chase National Park only reopened on Saturday 4/07/2020, and so I'm not sure what the CO could have done, other than have reinstated the same park close notice that was previously done?
This one was a shame to have lost

"Flinders Chase National Park and Ravine des Casoars Wilderness Protection Area are closed to the public until further notice due to the January 2020 bushfires.
This is to give the fragile bushfire-affected environment time and space to regenerate, and allow for continued clean-up, re-built and re-imagine efforts.
The good news is that green shoots are emerging from vegetation in the park and there are native animal sightings like goannas, eagles, kangaroos and KI echidnas.
It doesn’t take long for the bush to bounce back from fires. Following the recent rains, some plants are growing a few centimetres a day!"

Today we explored the island and its sights. Beautiful nature here on the island.
After a short wait I was able to search, find and log this cache undisturbed.

No trip to Kangaroo Island should miss this fabulous location.
And our tour was no exception!
I have been here before, 14 years ago, and I still think it is a reallly remarkable place.
The tour group contained several 'older citizens' so I walked on ahead and found the cache without any problems before they had made it this far along the boardwalk. No one seemed to even glance at what I was doing. Signed the log and replaced the cache then hurried on to take some photos and get close to those remarkable rocks. Once near the formation I realised I'd stolen the pen, it was still in my hand!
Replaced it in the cache on the way back.

We are staying a week at Kangaroo Island so thought we'd get some smilies while we're here. Love this beautiful location. Lots of muggles around so had to be inventive by 'dropping' one if the kids hats off the side of the boardwalk so we had a reason to be looking. Was quickly found by geokid Once we found the cache there was a sudden arrival of a tour group so we had to sit in a nearby bench and act casual with it hidden behind our bag. Lot of fun! Trackable left. Tftc
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
We are here visiting, house and farm sitting for three months. There are only 86 caches on the island. Hope we get smilie faces on all of them.
Today we entered Flinders Chase for the first (but not last) time.
Remarkably, there were no muggles on the boardwalk and we were able to snaffle this cache easily. Moving along a couple of travel bugs container therein. Thanks Freddo the Frog, what a remarkable place.

In the warm light of the late afternoon, we went to this fabulous place. Took "thousands" of photos and took care of not falling down. Surprisingly, we were the only people there! So we could easily search for the box. - Thanks for the cache at this extraordinary spot!

22 days vacation in Australia, a big round trip around the red continent. Adelaide & Kangaroo Island, Darwin & Kakadu National Park & Yellow Waters, Alice Springs & Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Port Douglas & Rainforest & Great Barrier Reef, Hamilton Island, Blue Mountains, Sydney - what a trip! It's been great, it's been exhausting, it's given us so many impressions of this country that we'll need another few weeks to process all of these.
Of course there were also a lot of geocaches along our track and we tried to find them whenever they were (more or less ) on our path. Due to the amount of places, impressions and geocaches I'm unfortunately able to write a detailled log for each of them, but we appreciated every single one of them.
Thanks Freddo for placing and maintaining this cache!

Didn’t take long for us to spot it once at the right location. Many muggles around.

We arrived at Kangaroo Island some time before noon, and was picked up by our guide for the two day tour waiting.
After watching the Remarkable Rocks up close, being carefully watched by our guide as he did not want any of us to falling into the sea we returned to our ride. I rushed in front of the small group and searched for the cache which I found after some searching.

gatta nera and Hai Happen married! and what comes after a marriage? ok, her name is still gatta nera and not yet gatta Happen, but would be quit interesting
so, next is honeymoon
so, the decision was made, it should go to Australia, with a 12 hour stop over in Singapore to check out the bay area.
this day we spent all the time in Flinders Chase National Park. As first we did an about 11km walk through the park, after which we had to fill up our power with a good burger from the Cafe.
Next stops was the Lighthouse just ahead of Admirals Arch and then obviously Admirals Arch, with a lot of Sea Lions on the rocks, quite impressive. We continued to some look out points over gravel roads and headed to Remarkable Rocks.
All Caches on the day were found easy and safe - still no snake was seen.

During our stay on Kangaroo Island, Hai Happen and I spent a day in Flinders Chase National Park. Of course, we did not want to miss out the Remarkable Rocks. Found it together with vogi84 during our honeymoon in Australia. Greetings from Switzerland. Today we stayed at Kangaroo Island and explored the Flinders Chase National Park. We had a wonderful day with a lot of animals Koalas Platypus Lizard Fur seals Echitnas , hiking, Admirals Arch and Remarkable Rocks. TFTC
We had come over to KI with the MX-5 Clubs of SA and Vic/Tas and had planned to stay a few extra days... smart thing as it turned out! Our itinerary brought us to Flinders Chase last Friday when access to the Rocks was closed due to high winds... so we used one of our extra days to come back today.
As it turned out, I could have found this cache last Friday because we were allowed to go part way along the boardwalk but with the disappointment of not being able to get to the rocks, I didn't check the actual location of this cache. No matter... I found it today... in between muggles.
I also left a Trackable that wants to *visit as much bush, and as many bush caches as possible*... maybe not exactly *bush* but a pretty wild location.
Thanks **Freddo the Frog** for putting this cache here.

The cache was found as we travelled around Kangaroo Island KI, SA. Today we travelled from General Store, KI, over to Flinders Chase National Park, then ending the day at Stokes Bay, KI, SA. This was one of 0 DNF's and 8 finds today - Most of the founds were quickly found.
Found between groups of visitors - nice to see a good cache like an ammo can once in a while

This was day three of a two week trip to Adelaide, starting with Kangaroo Island. We headed towards the west end of the island today.
After parking, we started walking along the path. I then realized that I lost my pen, so I went back to the car to get another. By the time I returned, my muggle wife had passed GZ, so I found the cache then hurried to catch up with her. TFTC.

TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Nature’s sculpture at its best, so Remarkable. Lots of muggles, so hid box in my cardigan, signed log as soon as we got a chance, waited ages before we could return it, just sat and enjoyed the view whilst we waited for a break!
Visiting from Arizona USA, continuing our top-o'-the-bucket-list dream tour of eastern and central Australia (WA will have to wait until next time). Today we're on the second day of a two-day tour of Kangaroo Island, so our caching is somewhat constrained by where the tour guide takes us. But he did take us here, so we took advantage.
Hung out on the boardwalk until the coast was clear. Made the grab. Removed the logbook. Moved away to sign it. Waited until we were muggle-free again, and replaced the log and cache as found. A really fun and challenging hide. Thanks for the cache.

Yes! Got it. Being on a Group tour it was quiet hard to find a moment without mugglers. But returning from the rocks and climbing back to the bus I took my chance and found the amo container quickly. Thanks and grtz from Holland
H.e and Lucy are visiting from Kamloops BC Canada. We are part of an organized tour of eastern Australia and that leaves very little time for geocaching, a real hardship especially for H.e. Therefore we are grateful for any caches that are near to sites we visit and are quick finds.
This one fits the bill nicely.

Found on day 3 of the Kangaroo island Wilderness Trail. Fantastic spot, just have to watch out for the bus loads of tourists coming to see the rocks! TFTC took TB
Today we had a truly remarkable day. On our way to the ferry, our bus blew a hose in the collant sustem, which left us waiting for a new bus for over half an hour. Because the of this ferry waited for just about the same time. Result of this was we were hurried over the island the whole day. At the end exactly made good what we had lost earlier.
So not exactly a lot of time to find this one. A short moment of time was enough to do what we needed to do at this Remarkably Remarkable. Grabbed a TB, but unfortunately had left ours on the bus. After signing the log hurried our way to the rocks (and this at almost 40 degC!!)
Freddo, thanks for this cache!!

Cruised over from Melbourne and took a day tour of Kangaroo Island. Didn’t have much opportunity to hunt for geocaches but the Remarkable Rocks were one of the highlights of the day. Simply stunning (even if swarming with people). The gps coordinates led straight to the container, which I found quickly using the hint. Didn’t see a travel bug unfortunately (although it might be there). But I dropped a TB (grafinators HQ duck dash) I’ve been carrying for a few months now. Thought it was time it saw some of South Australia! Great place for a cache - although you need to make sure you’re working offline as the cell coverage on this coast is non existent! Just need to be a bit prepared.
Easyly found on our way to the remarkable rocks. Tftc and greetings from Denmark.

Unfortunately we only had one full day on Kangaroo Island. So we had to pick and choose the locations carefully. We started our day at Seal Bay Conservation Park. After a nice walk at the beach we went to see the seals. We continued to Hanson Bay Koala Sanctuary and then went to Admiral’s Arch and remarkable rocks. Before we went back to Parndana we took a detour to Stokes Bay Beach. What a fantastic location here at the rocks. We stayed quite while to explore the area and take nice pictures. The container could be retrieved in a quite moment.
Thanks to Freddo the Frog for placing the cache.

Time to explore beautiful Kangaroo Island! In the end it will have been our wildlife day with seals, fur seals, guana, echidna, koalas and kangaroos. We started with Bales beach before heading to the seals bay board walk. Next stop was Hanson Bay Koala Sanctuary with an exclusive photo shooting of very handsome koala models. Of course we had also to visit Admirals Arch and Remarkables Rocks. On our way back to Parndana we took a little detour to Stokes Bay in order to take the tunnel walk from Pebbles Beach to Paradise Beach. Along the ways we stopped for several boxes and earthcaches.
Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining the boxes and earthcaches.
Found and logged together with Swerik, Mikaching and GPS-Wickie.

Greetings from the Netherlands.
This year, for the second time of my life, I travelled on holiday to Australia. The last tour has been in 1995, but this time something was a little different. For the first time I didn’t travel in a group, this was my first tour, were I was totally alone. I had booked the flights to Brisbane and from Adelaide and for the three weeks in between I rented a very small campervan, in which I could sleep and was able to do a little cooking. For me, this was enough.
In three weeks I was able to drive more than 5000 kilometres and could find around 90 caches, including all of the Australian caches from 2000. To finish the Jasmer Challenge was the other thing I wanted to do. There was only one month open and this was October 2000. With two different caches from this month in the country I could finish the challenge and in the end I visited them both. The best thing is: I didn’t need a cache of the USA to complete my Jasmer.
----------
Walked over the boardwalk and left a TB in the cache. Got it from the Frying Pan but was not able to log it, because of impatient cachers from my country. Found the cache very fast, because there wasn’t much camouflage. No other tourists nearby, so logging was muggelfree.

Quite an ordeal around this one. I had it in mind all day, but never bothered to download it, or get any information about it. And when we got down to the national park there was no reception so no cache information. This was kind of okay for the Earthcaches (you just read up on everything and hope you remember the right information for the questions, but for a traditional cache - nup. All I knew was that it was 150m (abouts) north of the Earthcache - wherever that was! So after visiting the rocks and taking numerous photos in the setting sun, I turned on the phone for one last attempt at actual coordinates - wait! what? I had reception, everything downloaded! I had the coords and soon enough I had the cache and a smiley as well - Left a pathtag for the next finder (or the CO if they want to go and get it). TFTC
On our tour on Kangaroo Island we had a stop here to see the beautiful stones. Tftc!
Remarkable place to hide a cache close to Remarkable Rocks, found together with my sister.
Wonderful place to visit, and a QEF - thank you. Nice to find a large container for a change. On an escorted tour of Aus and finding the occasional cache en-route. TFTC. #1197
Just a little bit searching but first couldn’t find, but after the magnificent remarkable rocks the gps was just a bit different and we got it in sight. Together with Elrodeito we could write our name at this beautiful place! Greetings from Holland and TFTC!
Its been a few years since I visited Kangaroo Island, so I headed off for a break for a few days and the chance to grab a few caches.
I managed to find a nice selection of caches over three days in some great places. Its a very relaxing and scenic part of the world!
It was remarkably hot here this afternoon. And not a muggle in sight. Only mad dogs and geocachers go out in the midday sun.
Thanks Freddo for the cache.

Found with CachingPikachu, JaffaJ and Maggs2005 after visiting Admiral’s Arch and the Remarkable Rocks. Pretty easy find. Fortunately when we were retrieveing, signing the log and replacing the cache, there weren’t many muggles. Haven’t seen a cache like this for a while. TFTC!
Found with JaffaJ, CachingPikachu and TheGeoSnake during a family holiday from Brisbane. Loved the cache container - haven't seen one of those for ages. Great location. TFTC
Located the container in between groups of muggles but it took me a few trips from the info sign to actually be able to attempt it. Usually I would make a quick grab and take the container a short distance away where I could sign the log while pretending to do something else. That was clearly not going to work here! Luckily it had started to rain and all of a sudden I had a huge muggle-free window in which to complete the process.

We realised we'd left the GPSr in the car but Mrs CF's geocaching eyes noted a likely spot on the way past. After exploring the rocks we managed to get the phone working and headed back to GZ. The cache was found only several metres from the noted spot - fortunately there wasn't too much traffic going back and forth and the log book was quickly signed - thanks!
I found this while on my way to photographing the Rock at sunrise so there was no one around to spy me making the grab.
Nice big container and in good condition.

A muggle free find on a lovely day. Loved seeing the rocks with no one else here. TFTC
