Having not read the logs I arrived at a big fence, obviously earthquake fallout.
So I will claim as I was here but .....

We were going to do this one but all fenced off so maybe one day. Loved the building though, very colourful.
I have been to cache site several times and it is still fenced off as a "earthquake risk". As soon as the fences come down, this classic building and cache will be back up and running.
hey all, this cache is currently unavailable due to earthquake damage to the iconic town hall. workers have fenced off the entire reserve as a safety precaution. just to let you all know
Walking up to it I thought it was going to be in the police grounds and was relieved to find it in this reserve. A fairly quick find. Thanks
In Rangiora for final orienteering event of the year. Found this one on the way to the event. Just as well I did so then as a couple of hours later as I was leaving there were hundreds of muggles around here watching the santa parade.
Nice easy find once I started looking at the right structure. Theatre looks fairly grand - lucky it wasn't damaged in the EQ. Police station looks pretty stylish too, although somehow I don't think it is as old TFTC (466)
Good to see buildings like this getting a new lease of life in a new role. Nice spot at the final, thanks.

Catching up on some old logging. A bit of a micro-snaffle tour of the town. Thanks.
Pen went out of ink (see black point on the log) so couldn't sign properly the log.
Nice and easy find. TFTC

Out this way this evening for a friends birthday dinner. Stopped for a couple caches before heading home....this was a surprisingly quick find (first place I looked)....Pitch black but all good. Log munted and sadly didn't have anything to replace it with. Thanks for the hide...most cool...
26/04/11 4:01 PM Find #287 Easy quick find while daughter watched a nutter on a bike. TFTC.
Love this one. I kept on worrying the neighbours might detain me Log seriously needs some TLC (damp, deteriorating) very hard to write on. TFTC
Fine Canterbury Autumn day and a great time to track down a bunch of caches in Rangiora. Good quick find.
Seems a good hide requiring other senses besides sight. Paper logs inside was getting damp. It'd be good to give them some waterproofing. Thanks.
#2181 Arrived to find several people waiting for the bus to drove round to Dudley the Dude. When I came back the coast was clear. TFTC DS8300
there was a muggle right there so we sat and waited for a while until he moved on tftc
A nice sunny relaxing spot. The GPS was being erratic (especially close to the building) so took a while to hone in on the correct spot. TFTC
A quick find during a stop and look around in Rangiora this afternoon. Signed log, TFTC!
3477. The cache site is a pleasant little area. We enjoyed finding the cache. The log sheet is mouldy and in many pieces but it is possible to write on it.
Thanks

No one was around, but the GPS took me to the building. After a fruitlees search of several drainpipes, I tried a different approach and was steered to a new GZ for a find. SL. TFTC.
found with eddie3576 and yadaMe

Took a while to find, GPS was wanting to put me in the middle of the building! TFTC
Found this one on the second attempt as the first time the the laptop attempted to refresh while out and about. Second time we forgot the GPS! Nevertheless based on what we remembered the hunt began and within a very short time the cache was in hand. Log was rather damp and we forgot to bring a pen.
All in all a real mission to log this one as a find! But even so TFTC.

Lovely location and very pleasant little reserve. Cache paper running out and contents quite wet. TFTC.
Great container - loved the quick in an out no messing about part of this before we cleared off to Christchurch
What a neat little container. We did find it on the ground, and not magnetically attached. Initially, we didnt see how it could be magnetic, but we found the base is magnetic. So it is well hidden again.
Thanks again nztikes, another great cache.

Took seemingly ages..
Nabbed by torchlight on a damp evening.
Great spotting by McPhan had the crew on its way closer to warmth and a drink.
Thanks for the cache.

Quite amusing at this location, with five of us looking in different directions. It wasn't really all that hard it turns out, and we found it in the last place we looked - boom boom. Thanks NZTIKES.
Carefully investigated the wrong place first, just in case it had been put back many meters away from GZ. Sigh. Then got with the act to zero in on the real location, thanks NZTIKES.
Took a few mintues to locate this one but all was good as our cold night out continued.
Thanks for adding to out finds here in NZ.

3189. [font=Comic Sans Ms][green]There must have been some issues with satellites this evening as we all started searching in the wrong spot. The find was eventually made a little away from where we were searching but no drama.

Nice wee historic spot we would never find without geocaching. Thanks for the quick and easy find.
Took a while to find this one as I was much more interested in the purple pipes. Once I had exhausted those, it didn't take long to find the cache. Cheers Gav [5854]
3/9 on a rainy Saturday afternoon caching with Streetglider NZ - nice hide - glad someone else has found these containers - nice mod too TFTC (119)
I have been past this place many times and never noticed that there is a little reserve here. Its rather neat! Found after a bit of stealthy searching, lots of muggles around!
Found while visiting friends while on holiday. Caught two art house movies but not at this theatre. TFTCSL
Nice One!!!!!!!!!! Sunday afternoon was a perfect time for this one. Not a muggle in sight and next door was closed for the day. Cleaver hide. Well done! Thanks
No muggles at the bus stop but several over at the service station filling up with petrol. TFTC
We were about to park in the bus stop thinking that there would be none on Easter Monday. A cop car pulled in next door so we thought better of that idea. After finding the cache we saw a bus about 200m down the road - phew. TFTC
There were muggles around waiting for the bus but once they had gone the cache was mine... TFTC. Cheers Bo
Seem to be following Bitsprayer around today.another log with his name on last.TFTC
Here in the early morning, so no flicks just me and the early riser's

Thanks Bitsprayer

Find #11 of my geocaching cycle tour of Rangiora.
Found on my second visit of the day. First visit was "rained out"! Sprinklers were keeping this cache well defended! - Can't exactly be inconspicuious sitting in a park under sprinkers! Fortunately they were off on my second visit. TFTC
