Just FYI had a look this morning and the cache contents are soaking wet and there is some gross squishy stuff in there too... lots of little ants covering the box (maybe trying to get to the water?).
Great place, we loved the trees. Glad to get out for a little walk in between showers. And love having some good caches for kids with good swaps.
4:05:00 PM. We decided today was the day for the great ocean drive. We left a couple of the earlier caches for another day. On our way home when this one popped up. Once we found the start of the track it was easy going and a quick find. Nice and quiet here today. Looks like the kangaroo's can ride bikes and quads now. Thanks cathyhelms for placing this cache.

Today we spent most of the day at Cape Le Grand National Park doing walks, and finished up driving the Great Ocean Drive.
Along the way, we found 7 caches of which this was the 7th.
On the way back to Esperance along the Great Ocean Drive we spotted this one on our GPS.
We found the track and got to the cache vicinity but found nothing near GZ.
Then we had a rethink, looked at some previous logs and saw that the coordinates were not very good. We also applied some caching common sense and soon found fully exposed and a few metres below its obvious hiding place.
We signed the log and replaced it.
For the record, we found it at 9m off GZ and when searching, remember the name of the cache.
Thanks for placing this cache cathyhelms

Found this one after GPS took us on a wild goose chase. Rummaging about the forest floor. Almost gave up when voila!!
Finally got this one but it was a bit of a struggle. The GPSr had us searching some 10 metres away at first. No luck so began widening the search.
Was just about to give up when common sense took over and after scratching around we finally found it. It had a good covering of leaf litter so was very well hidden.
Log signed and returned and back on our way.

Spending a day geocaching in Esperance. This was one of our finds. Great spot amongst the Tuart trees. TFTC
Found on a nice drive around Esperance during one of our port stops on our 18 day cruise on the Celebrity Solstice. It was a beautiful day for a drive and short walks. Not certain why it took so long to uncover. tftc!!
I found this one with Mum & Dad (jasenjanine) while on our Christmas holidays ... TFTC cathyhelms
Enjoying our first day of caching for 2014, this was our last find for the day... After visiting the Pink Lake we headed in the direction of this cache! Our Nuvi sent us to the right area, we just had to find the track in which we missed at first [^]
Motorbikes were headed our way, so I sneaked off up the hill whilst Jase found a more suitable spot to park I followed the little arrow, didn't even notice the gnarly tree whilst I wandered around aimlessly... That was until Jase arrived & found the cache in the very obvious spot I had walked straight past
TFTC cathyhelms... This is a lovely spot you have shown us today

Thanks for the trek through the wilderness. One wonders what possessed you to go to such lengths to find such a lovely tree to hide the cache in. TFTC
A stab in the dark here as first the GPS failed under the tree canopy, and then the phone battery died! Found three trees fitting a 'gnarly' description and so it was a process of elimination to get the treasure (sure enough, it was under the third tree!) Geoson took the Woolworths animal card as it was one he desperately needed to complete his collection, sorry had nothing to trade but will drop something off in the next few days as a replacement swap. #31 on my trip to Western Australia which has just finished. Now it's time to log all the finds. Thanks for showing this place and the hide! Greetings from Germany, Ernschtl
Thanks very much to Rogue for replacing the container and log! Checked our cache on the annual trip Down Under.
Was a little apprehensive about striking out through the bush, but found the cache without encountering one of the killer critters. Enjoyed the hike and the bushwhacking.
Yay, we wound around the track for a while, kids had some hairy moments up and down hills, but we found it! Left three toy cars - one from each daughter!
Found by using the compass and Rogues updated location. Excellent walk through the Forrest on a glorious Sunday morning.
We have just the 1 day in Esperance to go caching.
This is one we found & logged. Bit of a walk but happy to log a find.
Thanks cathyhelms

Found on beautiful Sunday afternoon with Kimberleycool. A little of the coords but easy found. TFTC
Yah, nice cache. Thanks ROgue! Lovely afternoon geocaching with the FriskyBadger. tftc!!!!
We were down in Esperance for Easter, and I saw the notes on this cache, so I decided to stop by the IGA, pick up a new container and log book, and replace the cache. I found the old cache, and a few other pieces of log and stash around the area. The inside of the container was sopping wet.
I put the salvageable swaps in the new container and hid it in the same place, although my GPS was pointing a few metres further on. I took a reading of the coordinates where the cache is hidden, in case these help any future finders, but the hide is not too difficult anyway.
I took the old container away with me, unfortunately the old log sheets were not salvageable. I didn't have a ziplock back for the new log book, so hopefully a future finder can bring one and put the log book in it. I hope the new container lasts many years. Thanks for the cache cathyhelms!

Found this one scattered around the bottom of the tree, couldn't sign the log as it was soaking wet and in lots of pieces. So this one will have to be a photo log, TFTC
Container lid is broken and when we found it it was in approximately 1,000,000 pieces. We did out best to collect every thing back up but it really needs a new container and log.
Found it ok but it was spread all over the place and could not sign the log it was to wet so took photo this cache in bad need of maintenance.
Found this caches with Breakstah and 2silvetops but could not sign the log as it had been destroyed.
Geocache needs attention and we will not be able to get to it until Christmas of 2013. Sorry and hope to be back online around Christmas!
Here from Canada, doing a bit of caching as we explore Australia....
The lid on the cache container is broken and needs replacing. It will no longer stay on the box. Cache will get wet if it isn't replaced.
Thanks for the hide cathyhelms!

Number five for the day!! Thought it was a strange place for a cache but thought it was great once I got to it!!
was a bit of a rough walk in... then found the firebreak track on the way out tftc
Once we had found our way in to get the cache things got a little easier. Not an easy place to find but we thoroughly enjoyed the stroll to the cache, even the steep bit. Thanks cathyhelms for the walk and the cache.
Found with Kool Running. Interesting placement for a cache in a nice stand of Tuarts, slope to the top was steep! Good chance to have a look around the properties in that area.
Strange place for a cache. We parked opp hill and walked along quad bike track to top, felt like its an unsold lot?
Quick find once I worked out the way in. Cache was sitting in plain view, so I moved it to the base of the tree and covered a little. Hope this is where it was meant to be. Thanks.
Easy find apart from the last little scramble up the hill on the slippery bed of leaves. SL TNLN TFTC
It took a couple of stabs to get the right approach, but on the second attempt we found our way and it was a quick find. TFTC.
WanderingAus wandered by and made a fairly quick and easy GAFF 1 find.
My find No 4697, LCC, TNLNSL, dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC, my WanderingAus GeoMobile TB and a couple of other travellers in for a visit before grabbing them back again.

Great drive out here except the storm was on the horizon. Pulled up to grab the cache and down came the rain. It was almost tooo windy to drive out so we waited a bit and then the rain stopped. Found the tree and then thought, Where could it be hidden here??? Then alas it almost bit me. TFTC
Great seeing these big trees in an area known for its salt lake, good to see all the development of the area too. TFTC still safe and dry. SLTNLN
Thanks for the walk was a bit worried about being run over by motorbikes but in and out safely. TFTC
Wasn't sure where this one was taking us but the track ended up being was fairly well formed.
Thanks cathyhelms

Found the cache today after a bit of wandering around...then realized it was staring me in the face. just a note - Watch for roos here..we found an injured one. TNLNSL TFTH
this was Hodg-jo, Ky, George and Poss our second find, loved it!! love the tuart forrest!! took a pokemon card and left my Leewin 2 Keyring! =D
This one has been my Nemesis on my last couple of visits, as the GPS lead us to a road/driveway I didn't think we should go on. All good, got the lil sucker.

A beautiful old tree in a great spot after a lovely walk. TFTC cathyhelms[^]. SL TN Left a pencil for signing the log.
Found at 12.50pm GAFF1. The hardest part about this cache was finding the easiest access. We ended up parking just 150 metres away on the road and walked in then found a track that went to the top of the rise and then walked along the ridge.
We soon found a tree that was not particularly gnarly, but it was the only one around - even if the GPS said to keep going for another 15 metres!
A small slip caused p-pprass to disturb some soil and the heavily covered cache was suddenly uncovered. We could have been there for half an hour if it wasn't for that stroke of luck.
Thanks cathyhelms
(ps: Possibly a difficulty of 2.o and a terrain of 2.o)
