Not found for almost 2 years, CO hasn't logged on for 3 years and a string of DNF's.
Looking through caches for a future caching run in the NE, I came across this one.
As the CO hasn't logged on for almost 3 years, I think its highly unlikely that any maintenance will be done on the cache, so this is just a precursor to a N/A log in a months time.

Found quite a few likely spots all were empty. Eventually had to go back to the car as the hail and rain became too heavy. The idea of this one being muggled is hard to believe.
Found a likely spot with a square void under a rock. Surely this couldn't have been muggled?
This was our second last cache on our "April Mountain Mission".
Team Skullracing was with us today and they had found this cache a few years back and was on the search again, but without a GPS in hand this time.
Co found the nicely tucked away container while "Skullracing" was searching a few meteres away, ohh how the memory fades after a few years...........LOL..
Many thanks for the cache............TNLNSL.

Easy find after an epic few days up at Hotham, with many finds. Will pass by again in the winter on my skaters. TFTC!
No dinner for us today - just a quick drive by on the way to Harrietville. Found with Bingami. TFTC
Staying in near by Harrietville for a few days and went to find this while on a day trip.

Easy to park close by this time of year at this hour.
I don't know who was more startled me or the hare close to GZ.

The cycling touring duo from Jindabyne fiund this one after completing number 6 of the cycling 7 peaks challenge. Now for some coffee and cake nearby. There is a great public shelter with open covered area, inside seating and toilets located on the other side of DP entrance. We needed it due to thunderstorms and rain after the coffee and cake.

Wow!! Our first cache in such a beautiful place. There was no snow and beautiful blue skies. We love this game!!
Luckily the snow had melted enough to find the cache, which was not a surprise since it was almost 10 degrees today, In the middle of Winter!!
Two gnomes are in the area if you are a GCA gnome hunter.

We found this cache before the snow set in. Hopefully It will be buried in snow pretty soon. We dropped in two travel bugs to enjoy the winter wonder and chill for a bit.
Last cache found for the day. Enjoyable day out at Mt Hotham & Omeo. Took fishing hooks and left dinosaur. TFTC.
Found it after a very interesting weekend trip for us. We left Albury with the intention of going to Omeo for the day and after a stopping off at Dinner Plain and a short trip to Omeo we ended up on the the coast at Bairnsdale with nothing more than a picnic lunch and a flask of coffee. More information on our unexpected weekend at our blog at http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/blog/roverlanders/
Retrieved travel bug TB2T796 and swapped it with some fishing hooks that had been in our boot for some time and had never been used.
Will be passing the travel bug on as soon as possible, I have relatives that will be flying over to the states later in the year and this would have been the perfect opportunity to get this home, but I fear this is a little too long to hang onto this bug so will be placing it in another cache as soon as possible.
Thanks for the cache

Nice easy find on our lunch stop before heading down a nearby 4wd track. TFTC
Easy find. Many travellers here so picked up geocoin memorial to Tsgt William J Kerwood. Sad story and these coins should be kept moving to let others know how lucky we are despite what we may think of current international events/wars and unease. Unable to find the tracking code despite emails to the previous holder and to the Fallen Heroes coin publishers and the so will drop it back in a cache near Ararat Vic in the hopes someone will be able to get the coins log updated.
We were here for a wedding, so we found a few caches. Easy find. Dropped off a lot of TB's. Thanks
After leaving Harrietville this morning, we stopped here for Breakfast - not Dinner. No snow today (as photo shows), but a quick find while we waited for our bacon and eggs to cook. TFTC
Decided to come up to the alps for a drive, unfortunately when it was time to get the cache the rains started, of course that didn't stop us! SL TNLN TFTC
A nice easy find, a bit easier now that all the snow has gone. TFTH...SL...Took TB

Almost stopped for this one a few days back when I came by with a few mates and a couple of sons on motorbikes but didn't so I got it this time with my wife along as company. Nice spot and well worth a quick stop. Had a look at the old hut over the road as well.
Dropped a TB here!
Thanks indeed pygmypossum

found this one today waiting for friends to come up from canberra will be at the general on new years eve to see DJ eddy he is well worth the trip from canberra. I'm in love with hotham and i hope to meet some of you caching ppls.
Nicely placed cache. The warning about the wire is relevant depending upon which direction you approach it from.
Staying in Dinner Plain for the break, so we enjoyed a stroll down to here mid-morning on the most glorious of sunny alpine days. Cache find was straightforward, all in order and rehidden well as found. Dropped a trackable (Fastcatch 3) in to this cache that travelled here with me from NZ.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too, and Krandy

19th cache in a big run down to Mallacoota for caching fishing and catching up with friends and family. Found with a nearby road works vehicle prowling around. I wasn't there for long enough to arouse any suspicion. TFTC.
We stop here at Dinner Plain every trip over to the coast without fail - who knew there was a cache just over 100metre away!?
GeoKid & Big Ez went for a quick walk to GZ whilst Mrs H was making morning tea. We love this area and the facilities it has for our morning pitstop. A top spot for a cache.

Extremely cold, foggy and wet day. Found with nutta74. Took the car, left a green teddy.
Found with xenorg - don't recommend going when there's fog .....
Watch for a neat pile of rocks ;p

Retrieved after a two day snow shoe expedition in the alps. Cache was exposed so Rehid as best we could. Interesting log from previous muffle finder who found the cache and read the logs. Hopefully she checks out gc.com. TNLN TFTC
Found on my last day at Hotham. Wasn't gonna give up on this one, is now my highest and furthest east from home. No snow here so wasn't too hard. Plenty of snow at Hotham though, the best spring in 18years! Good skiing to be had in the mornings!

No snow covering the cache today, and so there were no difficulties locating the hide.

This was an easy find, mainly due to something very bright and red encircling it... I don't know if this was actually supposed to be here, so I moved it a little and hope I don't get into any trouble. The container was open, the last people didn't replace the lid, but the inner wasn't too wet.
Cheers.

Lucky me, i found this cache. it is now winter and yesterday the cache had a light covering of fresh snow!!
This was our last part of the 'mountains' in our "Mountains to the Sea" caching run before heading back to the flat country at 0 altitude. Everyone seemed to be gearing up for the opening of the season next week so we were able to 'sneak' away and find the cache. No swaps today but the TB's were taken to move along.
Thanks for the cache.

First big outing on my new bike and we chose to do the Bright-Hotham-Omeo-Falls-Bright loop. A bit day's riding, but a lot of fun with a great bunch of blokes.
While they zoomed ahead I stopped and took a couple of photos to prove to the Wench that I was actually at Dinner Plain and not just sitting in the Alpine at Bright drinking booze.
An easy find had me back on the road and flying along great mountain roads enjoying the curves.

A nice easy find on our way out for a days caching. Thanks for the cache. Left Outback Adventure and Beyond Hotham travel bugs, and a Piggy GC.
#252 Found at 2.45pm. Left GeoPrincess to pick this one up without Dad or the Queen hovering over her. After doing a drunken bee dance (she's getting better at reading the GPS) and some gentle encouragement from the sidelines from Dad & the Queen she eventually came up with the find - and wasn't she chuffed with herself . Again a cache that we seem to be following OakeyDog around - missed by a day in this instance I believe.
Took: Perth WA keyring

A bit early for dinner, but I was almost tempted to have lunch and cold beer at near by pub after a big hike in the alpine area, next time for sure. Great cache in what seamed a very busy place, this looks like it would be a fun cache to find when there’s snow on the ground difficulty might need to go up a bit for winter
Thanks for the caching fun pygmypossum
PS Is that skullracer1 following me again or what [?]

Found whilst on a trip through the area. Seems I took the more scenic route, trudging through undergrowth to find the cache, only to realise there was an (albeit makeshift) road/path right next to it! TNLNSL. TFTC.
Found at 1055. Having just completed 'Lost In Cache', this one was much quicker find. Have never really stopped by here and ventured around Dinner Plain Village so it was nice to do so today. It's a beautiful location and I'm sure there would be plenty of people here during the winter months.

Found this one at 15:35 under the watchful eye of Alsume (always a pressure situation ) so thankfully I came up with the goods quite quickly . What a beautiful part of the world but I couldn't help but feel a tiny wee bit sorry for those hundreds of soaked bike riders just nearby .
TNLNSL, although our >1000m geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks pygmypossum.

Found 18/02/2010 14:08 . I was on the GAR just after this cache was listed a few weeks ago but didn't make it as far as Dinner Plain. No problems this time with my work duties taking me nearly to Flour Bag so it was a simple matter to stop for a quick find before returning doen the long and winding road to Benalla

a find with geowife who particularly enjoyed looking around the dinner plain complex. thinks there cheap, will buy one, spend summer w/ends here, rent it out over winter and make a fortune etc, etc, etc.
It was a glorious morning up here at Dinner Plain, the weather being cool but the sun shining through. Found the hide after a relatively short search, and first to find too apparently. We selected a smooth rock and sat down to write in the log, all the while soaking up the nice warm rays of the sun. It was a beautiful spot. Left a silver car and some australian wildlife stickers, took the Dinner Plain brooch, and left the Blue Tap TB to examine the water situation here for a while. Thanks Pygmypossum for placing a cache up here.
G'day Ian,
Got your messages. Thanks for the help. I have put in the coordinates for my home and increased the level of difficulty as you suggested. Let me know if it hasn't been recorded correctly.
