Logs
Based off recent DNF logs and myself unable to find this I think the owner should go check if it needs replacing
Seems to be MIA again. After DVH’s DNF, we had a second look a week or so later and couldn’t find it still.
Had a good rummage around gz, which is a tad overgrown, will stick this on the watch list
Kia ora.my son and I had a good look around and have come away not having found it.
Another single find for me today to keep the streak going and to save other finds for numbers boosting in February. I plugged the numbers into my GPS and headed off. Got to GZ and after a bit of hunting around came up with nothing. I checked the logs on my phone and saw a string of DNFs, but then noticed that my data was from five months ago. A quick refresh saw lots of new finds, but also that I was 20m away. Moved along to the new location and soon had the cache in hand. All good here. TFTC
I found this cache while on an excursion with jess.daphne during the mega event. We had lots of fun taking to the streets and finding caches. Tftc from team Jeje.
Found with Injeanious as we explored the area during the Mega weekend. We really enjoyed the walk around the stream here and the caches along the way! TFTC!
Down in the Capital for an extra long weekend before exams start, with Jag50, Merlot58 & Bertie Blowfish. We walked around this lovely trail by the river. A nice stroll along the bank to get to this location.
With a group of fellow west Aucklanders Merlot58, Aiden29 and Bertie Blowfish To attend the MEGA and for a fun long Labour weekend’s caching. Thanks to all the cache owners for setting up and maintaining the caches. Sorry for cut and paste logs. Tftc
I’m in the Windy City to attend the Wellington Mega with a few fellow Westies from Auckland. We’re having a great time as we explore the area collecting smileys as we go. Thanks for bringing us here, sorry for the copy and paste logs but am using a Cachly template to log as I go. Quick easy find
In Wellington for Mega with others from the Bay of Plenty.
Signed log Team BOP to save room. The team consists of my self Tnxpro , Philip.Perry and McJandals.

Attending the Wellington MEGA, great to visit here from the sunny Bay of Plenty, these finds have been found with my team members, which include myself, NZ Flossy, Davidson Clan, Squirrel Nutcase, FapandGap, TNXPRO and Philip.Perry and signed Team BOP. (To save room on logs) We are having a blast and gathering lots of smileys along the way. Please excuse generic logs in advance. (as I have saved the template using Cachly) Many Thanks to all you cache owners for the placements. Cheers
Team BOP have descended upon the Wellington region for the 2018 WENZ MEGA. We have a lot of caches to get through so there isn’t a lot of down time but it's great to meet the locals, CO’s and fellow cachers. My online logs are largely cut’n’pasted because my memory has started to blur many of my finds together so apologies for that. We’ve signed logs as ‘TeamBOP’ or individually depending on log space and time. Lastly a big Thank You to the Team - TNXPro, Davidsonclan, McJandals, NZFlossy, FapandGap & Squirrel Nutcase and to all the CO’s that made this a memorable trip
It's finally Mega weekend!
Found while travelling with TeamBOP to the Mega event in Wellington.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Even with the assistance of a couple of inquisitive pukekos I had zero luck with this one.
Oh noes! We had a good rummage around but no luck. Looks like this one not been found for a while, might need re-finding by the owner? great little search though and we got to hang with some inquisitive pukeko which was fun in itself.
Couldn’t find, but it has been unfound by many for about a year - might need re-finding by owner?
A bit too overgrown and raining cats and dogs for an easy find, ill have to come back for this one TFTC 276
Was looking in the wrong place to start with. Found when widened the search. Log damp but still able to sign. TFTC
#3121. I need at least 3 caches today. So decided to visit Upper Hutt and search for the caches along the stream tracks in Heretaunga. Certainly a lot of golf balls in the stream up here. Surprised the local kids have not been gathering them up. We used to search for golf balls around the edge of golf courses when I was a kid and got some good money selling them back at the clubhouse. This cache took me a few minutes to find as I missed it on the first sweep as I was checking at a different level. Read a few previous logs and soon found the nicely placed cache hidden in plain view. It is a bit damp but still OK to sign. Returned the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here.
Another couple of days over on the North Island and as it turned out a little bit of respite from the quakes that happened on the Sunday evening, though being on the third floor of nearby accommodation resulted in a midnight rude awakening, coupled with a rock and roll ride up high.
Day 2 of my visit and the meeting I was supposed to attend has not surprisingly been cancelled after last nights earthquake and subsequent structural damage. So, armed with a recent pocket query I loaded up mr G P S and headed out on foot. All up I walked 14kms in the morning for a 9 cache haul, then a 12km walk in the opposite direction for an 8 cache haul before calling it off mid-afternoon with sore feet.
As it turned out I also had all day Monday for caching in the area so was able to make a dent in the local available caches, thanks to all the C Os for their placements.
Part 2 of my caching for the day and heading towards Silverstream ina weird wiggly, indirect manner, typical caching trip!
After trying few different approaches I eventually got lucky along the stop bank and the cache was soon in hand. Lots of golf balls in the stream, and a lorakeet too, nice one

Spent ages looking for what turned out to be a very obvious and simple find. Log all good. TFTC
#2306 It was such a nice day today that I decided to get out on my bike and explore some more of the Hutt. Made a little detour from the reserve to find this cache. Coords bang on and immediately spotted the little cache. TFTC!
Another 'Where is this? Oh - right there under my nose!' sort of find. It's not that it's obvious, more that I was lucky. Last on the list for the day. Time for lunch! TFTC
Found while out with Paling5, a wild bunch to cache with! GLAD to have this one, TFTC.
Spotted very quickly as we approached GZ. Log signed and replaced just as we found it. Tftc.
We'd popped into Heretaunga Park for a rare visit and after lucking out on the cache in the park we decided to walk along the stopbank to have a look for this one. Interesting to walk along there: once upon a time there would have been no stopbank and the houses would have had a nice view over the stream and golf course. Now all they can see is a steep grassy slope, except the two storey houses that can still see ovee the top from upstairs. I wouldn't like living somewhere that people could see over my fence into my house like that either. Anyway, once at GZ I popped down the bank to look for the cache while Mrs B distracted the mozzies up the top, so that I didn't get bitten for a nice change . Cache was soon spotted (tucked away nicely), log extracted and signed and all replaced. I noted that the house the other side can clearly see GZ from at least one upstairs window, so no idea if a muggle may have been watching me. Such is often the case for caches that are overlooked by houses. TFTC TheB0rg
Day FOUR of Clan Murray 2015 Geo Road Trip - In Wellington
we needed 2 quick ones this morning before we hit our main target for the day - nice and easy cache - love it when the GPS is bang on

A quick find possibly because the (no longer sticky) tape is making it more visible. Since the tape is no longer doing its job I wedged the cache between the wires. We continued along the stop bank to see if it went anywhere but it seems that's a dead end. At least I got to see the Chinese roof (just past the GZ). Coming back we woke up all the neighbourhood dogs, so a little stealth may be required.
This one definitely tested us. Took a good 20 minutes of looking! Found with Paige withers
An easy find thankfully as maintenance crew is cutting grass on the stream banks. In my rush I dropped the clear container lid into long wet grass and had to go digging to find it. I had inside help with this one as you can see by the photo. TFTC!
Thankfully there were no stray golf balls heading in our direction, we were on par with a quick find instead, TFTC.
Another quick find after a lovely stroll down the riverbank beside a cute little stream. TFTC
The GPS put me right on the spot and it didn't take long to spot the small cache - TFTC !
Tricky little beggar to find - especially in the dark !
GPS led me straight to it but I missed it the first time - nearly gave up and left it for in the daylight - perseverance pays off
