Loved this location, would have missed it completely had it not been for this cache. TFTC
Found this one on day 2 of our week long family holiday on KI. I had a quick look but my gps was a bit off, sent hubby up and he quickly found GZ! Geokids preferred playing in the nearby trees after a walk along the beach and across the bridge (twice!). An excellent location for exploring!!
TFTC!

Quick find just before heading back to the ferry! There's no pencil nor pen, so I couldn't register in the logbook (which is perfectly dry! ). TFTC!
Found on our holiday to KI. This was our last full day on the island so it was focussed on the eastern end. This was a great little hide in an interesting place. Notes made for another great spot to camp on our next trip. After we found the cache we went for a nice walk along the beach. This place is a great asset for the local community and travellers alike. TFTC Freddo.
GPS was spazzing out but after a little climb we found it easy. Great spot to pop in, glad we came in
Quick find for hubby. I had incorrect footwear for the journey. Gorgeous spot. TFTC
TFTC so sad. She wouldn’t have spoken English, those names wouldn’t have been hers. How could she possibly have chosen to move away from family and land, language and culture?
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.
(HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Visiting KI to maintain a cache that ended up being replaced by Liz and Bruce yesterday. But as the travel and accommodation was already was booked here we are with time to catch up on unfound caches on the island and to show my international nephew some of the sights.
There has been significant development here since the last time I was here to find caches that have since been archived. That's a really impressive structure out here.
Thanks for bringing us back here I always wanted to camp here but it's a little expensive on the ferry during the holiday season.

Day 2 of our KI getaway and now we’ll into our second week of holibobs. What a contrast to Flinders!
We drove from Penneshaw to American River via the western cape, enjoying lunch at False Cape winery, beach walks, stair climbing and glorious weather.
Thank you for the welcome what an amazing spot. We went for a walk on the beach and checked out the facilities. TFTC Freddo

Day 6 of our 6 night break on the Island. Our targets for the last full day were the Western area. Such a dissapointment trying to get to this one. Something we had encountered far too often during our time here. The roads were closed grrrr. The island seeks tourists but closes the roads. Go figure. So not only did we miss out on finding the cache but also visiting the other points of interest around the area.
Mr and Mrs Parrot took a trip overseas to Kangaroo island for the week.
We had a lovely time finding caches and interacting with the people selling produce and food to the public.
It fabulous to see the green starting to come back into the fire ravaged areas. We had hired a house in Kingscote and ventured out each day in a different direction to see the sights and what the island had t off.
We also picked up 60 odd caches along the way.
My thanks for the quick responses to the Geocaches and the virtual cache which we sorted out before logging.
It was good to be able to complete Wonders of the world and become an Ultimate Explorer during my stay.
The road was blocked for roadwork's to this one. Wish I had of realised I could get it from the other side before heading cross county

Great hide by Freddo! Easy find, fabulous spot. Well worth the drive out! Thank you so much FTF xx
We were on the Island with TubbyBooBoo and ZoBo01. This area was amazing, the fresh water lagoon made all the difference. We actually ended up on the other side from the cache,BUT there is a ne foot bridge to croos the lagoon and then up the hill and located the cache. TFTC
Found It!
Nice little park and a quick find after walking to GZ. Had the place all to myself today...

DNF. Was a hike through the bushes with a not so clear path, beware of snakes and spider dens
This was found as we wander this great country
With a change of senery we headed across to an Island for a treat
with a bit of wandering and photos taken

This was certainly the case of finding the difficult way to GZ and the easy back to the car. A great hide in a lovely setting - thanks Freddo - a FP given.
Parked the car on the side of the road, believing I was as closest I could be. Walked through the bush , past a tank (I would assume for fire fighting purposes). My phone GPS was getting me closer - now about 12m. Its telling me to go in another direction. I was about 6m away and I had to go under these low branches, which meant I had to crawl, and in this instance on my back. Why on my back I am not sure. While I was lying on my back decided to read description (who reads descriptions). Anyhow here I am reading description and it mentions about snakes (did I move fast from the position I was in). Shortly, after standing up, I noticed something that looked a bit suspicious, and bingo the cache was in my hand. After putting the cache back, I took the easy way back on a road we should have come down on which came down near the water way. TFTC Freddo - Giving you a FP for the adventure I had (most caches you find you don't remember later on, but this one will come up in conversations with fellow cachers back home in Brisbane
Found on a five day break on and around the wonderful Kangaroo Island.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
We are here visiting, house and farm sitting for three months. There are only 86 caches on the island. Hope we get smilie faces on all of them.
Magic spot. Found in good condition, after a bit of a scramble around the Casbar. Thanks Freddo for the chocolate frog

Quickly located what is now a small cache on the first day of our KI wander!!! Lovely spot!!
This was day five of a two week trip to Adelaide, starting with Kangaroo Island. This was our last full day on the island, so we went out to Cape Willoughby, then looped back to Penneshaw with a stop for lunch at Dudley Wines.
I wasn't quite sure what the hint meant. I took the high road from the parking area and checked quite a few places that my GPSr told me to look. I eventually scurried down a bit a found something that fit the hint if I squinted my eyes the right way. The cache was there, so I must have come to the correct conclusion. TFTC.

TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Paddled the kayak from Cape Jervis to Antechamber Bay today and camped at Lashmar CP. Gorgeous area to camp and explore. Plenty of bird life and fish. Had dinner on the beach and then took my muggle kayakers for an introduction to caching. Sat lock was jumping a bit in the trees which had us searching around for a while but then the cache was found neatly hidden away. Found and signed the log. Thanks Freddo, my first KI cache!
Found but recommend wearing shoes as I now have a very unhappy geokid with thorns stuck in her feet and legs.
Found on my last day on ki what an amazing place and beautiful site. Thank you for this cache
Its been a few years since I visited Kangaroo Island, so I headed off for a break for a few days and the chance to grab a few caches.
I managed to find a nice selection of caches over three days in some great places. Its a very relaxing and scenic part of the world!
I approached this one from the wrong direction as my gps had me 7-8 metres up the hill. But a likely hide location was soon spotted and I soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks Freddo for the cache.

GPS was going a bit crazy and couldn't quite decide exactly where GZ was. Looked all over the place with no luck. Eventually approached the area I suspected it to be hiding and spotted it.
Beautiful place. Unfortunately the weather and timing meant that I was unable to check out all of the points of interest, but thanks for including them. The island has some pretty interesting history behind it.
Used the facilities on the way back to the car and there was a possum snoozing in the rafters. Gave me a bit of a shock when I saw it!

Well thought I'd have a quick look for this cache while visiting the spectacular beach. Went up to where it looked like it would be and spotted a likely spot. But when I was a meter or 2 away I noticed movement in a bush above the spot. Out of the bush came a 1m tiger snake and straight into the area I suspect the cache was in. Safe to say after that this was a DNF. Be careful looking for this one in spring and summer and don't try to do it in thongs!
Found while having a wonderful exploration of Australia on a drive from the Top End to the Bottom End, before heading home back to the West End. A wonderful camping area, earmarked for a possible future visit.

We are on an around the world cruise on Holland America's Amsterdam. We left from Ft Lauderdale Florida, USA and will return there. We sailed the Caribbean Sea, Panama Canal, South Pacific Islands, New Zealand, Sydney, Tasmania and now here. We will cruise south/west Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Africa before crossing the Atlantic to home. Again thanks for our 2nd Kangaroo Island cache.

We were pretty amazed at the views around this little river stream and beach - simply untouched! Kangaroo Island amazes us once again, and thanks for not only maintaining a cache here, but pointing out some of the highlights via waypoints around the area. Cheers!
