Logs
As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been longer than 28 days since the last reviewer note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 28 days), just contact us (by email) once the cache is in place, and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.
I can imagine where it would have been but it's not there. Previous DNF's suggest the CO needs to check.
Didn't find it. We have an idea of where it might have been, but think it may have been pushed out of reach. Lovely part of the mountains.
Catching up on logging after realising how slack I had been in logging finds, lucky the gps stores them. Apologies for the delay in sending through the logs. A quick find on the trek. TFTC Jenmen. [1772]
im not claiming a find today although i spotted the cache in its hiding spot as i certainly didn't sign the log. I spent half an hour trying to get it out with no luck, if the co can do a check and bring some better retrieval equipment than a telescopic magnet. might need to be pushed all the way along or a small long grab tool would work. its not where the clue says but is only one off. this area is well worth a second or third visit and i didn't find the winery mentioned in previous logs so theres a further incentive....
Nice hide but I think it was pushed back a little too far, if someone could bring it more to the front that'd be great
Took some searching but was eventually found the location did not match the clue or the GPSr so have placed back closer to the GPSr location - may need a check from the CO, magnet is not working very well either. TFTC!
A perfect winter's afternoon to follow the road to the valley floor with stunning cliffline views along the way. Found this micro cache, but not the cairn - and a look at the photo, I should have. The valley is such a nice drive, I may well head back for another look. TFTC
A nice cache to find in our lunch break while completing the walk, we found the clue very fitting. TFTC!
I've walked the track a few times over the years, but not for a while. Found the cache easily enough, then back in the car to head home. Might be time for another 6 foot track walk to see what's changed (I'm sure there wasn't a winery along the way last time I was here!).
TNLNSL, thanks for the cache Jenmen.
best wishes,
Wal

Easy quick find after doing the downhill 8km walk on the track from katoomba to this point, TFTC
Almost got bit in the nose by a snake while searching in the wrong spot. Caching is a dangerous hobby in Australia...
That track looks inviting was it's definitely too hot today with a 5-year-old. We really enjoyed our ride down Megalong road: splendid place! Thanks for the cache and greetings from France!

Found with Mummy Mirage and Daddy Ewilund.
Thanks for the cache and Hi from France!

Found this a couple of weeks ago. Nifty cache and fun being sneaky with the geokids amongst the muggles. Tftc
Walking from Jenolan caves to Katoomba and spent night two at the Old Ford Reserve. Found this one upon our arrival. Took a little searching but still in hand fairly quickly. TFTC.
We stopped by for the the three caches in the area and stumbled upon this GZ before we realised it. Found with SwiftThistle and SuperSuz.
He he! a nice quick find, time for a coffee & scones at the cafe to celebrate

Came up here after camping nearby to do a recce for a walk out to the Hives.
As we were driving back out dad stopped so we could get the cache that apparently he'd already found.
Thanks

Grabbed this one on the way back from a return trip to Cox's River.
Liked the hint and TFTC

Didn't have much time with a group of 12 kids and 6 adults getting ready to walk to Cox's river Eco Lodge. Kids busy looking but not to be. Read a few logs..I think I know where to look next time! We had a great couple of days staying at Cox's river.
On a lovely sunny day we did a stroll from the Katoomba end of the track. Had morning tea at the cache before heading back. Easy find.
Geo dad and geo teen found this one on their winter walk of the 6 foot track. No worries about muggles as they didn't see anyone for the entire walk. TFTC.
Found this one today after a frip with the geowife to do some maintance on own own cache.
We love this part of our beautiful country.

Geofamily inc Geopooch were down in the valley to day for a picnic lunch and to nab a few caches whilst in the area. Found fairly quickly.

Just up the road in a wonderful homestead for the weekend I had to come down and try to find this.
Visited here a few years ago and missed the first find so had to cross this off.
Had a nice quick find, and happy to have finally crossed this one off. Not a soul to be seen while making the find.

With a few cars parked nearby I was hoping I had the place to myself. Luckily the cache was found quickly as a car soon appeared from down the 6 foot track.

#1649- Just over 2 years ago, the family and I came and looked for this one. At the time, there were a number of DNF's and ours was just another. Since then the rest of the family came back and found it, having been replaced. Today my only issue was waiting for the muggle bushwalkers to leave so I could do the honours. It was like Pitt st. Thanks for bringing me back here- a great drive down on a very pleasant day- we certainly live in a wonderful part of the world!
Just noticed that this still has a 'needs maintenance' on it, though one of the previous finders fixed it, so it is all fine!
Before taking dinner on the near camping ground, we did a short walk to this cache.
Thanks for hidding.
Thanks for hidding.
On the way to the NP in the Megalong Valley we stopped here to grab this one.
Not long ago we searched over 30 minutes for a similar placed cache. So this one was a QEF.

After doing Mermaids Cove decided to just see where the road took us - so glad we did what a great drive, and three caches at the end of it as a reward. Also planning to do the track sometime as a warm up to the Great North Walk, so good to come and see the sign etc. TFTC
Was lying in the dirt, saved it and put it too what I think matches the clue, happy hunting
Didn't find that nano. Took pictures into all that bars but didn't see anything. Is it still there?
TFTC we were unable to get to the micro in the morning. We had time to think about the problem as we were doing some volunteer tree planting at Green Gully. We were able to use a wire to pull the micro out.
The problem is that the magnet is weak. We added a short string and a stick to prevent the micro from being push in too far. We used some bark to cover it string.
Hopefully the problem is solved.

Someone has pushed the nano out of reach and we never had the. Tools needed to retrieve it -bummer had a great afternoon walking to bow tell suspension bridge
The Six Foot Track is a very interesting path. We were looking at the maps of its path and infomation on its history. Not so keen on the run idea, but walking the track would be interesting.
Thanks, Robmc.

Our fifth day in the Blue Mountains hunting with Pprass and Robmc.
An early morning find as we prepare to shift camp from near here to the outskirts of Sydney. Nice hidey hole for the cache.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Jenmen.

Found at 6:43:21 AM GAFF5 in the company of Phetlern and Robmc. We camped at Old Ford Reserve the previous night and in the morning before heading into "civilization" we did the 3 caches that were in the vicinity. Loved the quiteness and the very cold river water which we dipped into to cool down the evening before.
Thanks Jenmen.
Thanks Jenmen.
It took some poking with a stick to find an extract but based on the clue I had a pretty good idea where to look (well which 4 places it would be in one of), There was a nasty looking spider hanging around fortunately I didn't have to get too close. I have replaced in the same spot but in a way that will be easier to see (if you are at the right angle and know what you are looking for) and extract.
Found this cache after a delicious lunch up the road at the Megalong Valley Tearooms (thoroughly recommended!).
I had to wait close to 20 minutes for a cycling pair to push on from GZ before I could retrieve this one. I also had to use an implement to get it out, as it had been replaced earlier in the day upside down (or the magnet is failing and it fell down) - so be very gentle with your initial probing!
While I was waiting, the geowife & kids went down the track to explore, and saw the cairn. Top spot, Jenmen!
TNLNSL TFTC!

An easy find for the youngest of our clan. We love camping at the Coxs camping area, though, we do drive into there. Looking forward to heading back there in a few weekends time.
Cheers

took some work getting out after accidently pushing it in further. nice scenic drive through valley
Didn't find it. Needed the clue, going in blind doesn't help. Next time its mine
we did indeed return and we did indeed find it this time, SL and return it.
Looked for six foot around the Grid and only found a redback spider and muggles, both of which I gave a wide birth too. The sun was setting an the iPhone battery was depleting, as were the chances of us finding this... We shall return
A quick find before heading down the six foot track for a nice afternoon's walk to Cox's river crossing and back.
Thanks,

Out for a walk today frm here to the Cox's river on a cache hunt. This was my second find after a short search near the start of the track. TNLNSL
Well, we found this one easily this time! The reason we coudn't find it before was because it wasn't there at the time. TFTC, Jenmen!
We were in the valley doing some caching with Toriaz and family, today, so I thought I'd go for this one on the way out, since it was actually missing last time we went looking. I looked on the wrong side, of course, but the Toriaz clan found it quick smart. Doesn't matter. I still got my name on the log. Thanks
Since we were with bikerbuddy & his boys for some other nearby caches, we tagged along with him to look for this one as well. Geohusband managed to unearth this one for us, in a very logical spot to look.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Found this cache really quickly. Couldn't believe the filth at the base of the tree. It was disgusting, nappies, pooed paper etc. How can people be so dirty especially when they have babies. What sort of world do they want their little ones to grow up in? Ug it was horrible. Anyway glad the cache wasn't in that vacinity as I wouldn't want to dig around in that mess! TFTC...eatmorchikin & Stigglepot, Brisbane
We got this one while we were passing by. Also first to log in the new cache log sheet.
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
Have replaced cache but the magnet is not very strong..I will rectify this ASAP however in the meantime, please make sure you replace the cache correctly so that the magnet is used.
Had a feeling I should do maintenance on this and sure enough it has been muggled/ washed away/ etc....anyway it is gone.
There were a lot of cars parked here today, and two bike riders having a discussion nearby but out of sight of GZ...no muggles watching what we were doing.
Will be back in 2 weeks and in the meantime will decide whether to archive or replace the cache.

Tried in vain to find this one .. but no luck. Still had a good day out and found two other caches along the six foot track. Will have to return for this one ...
The last time I saw this cattle grid I was riding my bike from Jenolan, through the valley and up to Blackheath. I had no thought about it at that time. Now I know more about this cattle grid than I need to and I still hate nanos!
Didn't really get a good search in on this one. The info sign area was full of walking muggles when we first arrived and when they left another car pulled up. They left and a group of Mothers and kids came from along the track and set up for lunch at the sign. We went down to the reserve foer a look about (and the other caches) and returned a good 30 minutes later and they were still there. Back to the river for a while before returning again to a muggle free GZ. That didn't last more than about 3 minutes before another group turned up. With the time getting late we left it for the next time we come down.
